Damon and I were in New Orleans having the time of our lives. Pregnancy was treating me great actually. I was now 6 months and I never felt better. He had stopped with the morning sicknesses and he was the Damon Bess I know and love. We were happy and we were letting loose. Karen's wedding went well and we left straight after. Yana was with Damon's parents. We've been here for 2 weeks now and I missed my daughter now with her drama. Damon was still sleeping while I got up to pack. I really was ready to go home and be with my baby.
"What are you doing?"
He said in his husky voice that was indication that he only just woke up
Him: come back to bed
Me: I'm packing
He sat up
Him: packing? Why?
Me: I miss home. I miss my daughter
Him: Boobie...
Me: no Damon we've been here for far too long now
He got up and walked up to me, his boner was visible over his Calvin Klein briefs making me drool a little. He hugged me from behind
Him: Mrs Bess we still have this place booked for 3 more days
Me: I don't care Damon. I just want to go home and hold my baby in my arms and just be in peace. You still have a company to run
He kissed my neck and let out a soft moan
Me: stop it
Him: I miss Yana too but Mahle we leaving in 3 days, we might as well just make the most of this time together
I shook my head no. Maybe my hormones were acting up too and they were the ones making me want to go home. I missed South African air I pulled away from him and sat down on the bed and just cried. I don't know why I was crying but it just felt like the right thing to do. He kneeled in front of me and took my hands into his

I didn't answer him. he let go of my other hand and lifted my face up with his index finger making me look at him. He rested his forehead onto mine
Him: if you want to go home so badly then we'll leave. I'll call the airport and we can be on our way home
Me: really?
I said sniffing
Him: yes, really. Please don't cry
I nodded. He looked at me in the eyes and planted a kiss on my lips and then broke it and smiled
Me: what?
Him: you so adorable that's all
I smiled. I really missed our family. I missed picking on Damon. I missed Liz and her drama. I just missed everyone.

2 DAYS LATER
We were home and in our house with my daughter. We went to fetch her the minute we landed, which was late at night. I know it was wrong to wake up my in-laws like that but it had to be done ok? Yana was more than excited to see us and the first thing she did the next morning was to ask us what we had bought for her. Kids. Anyway today I was going shopping with my mother in law, I was very much looking forward to it. it was in the morning on a Saturday so I called my mom, I missed her. she answered after a while.
//Me: mom
Her: oh my God. Hey baby
Me: how are you?
Her: good now that I'm talking to you
Me: oh Bomi
Her: I missed you so so much. I take it you back?
Me: of cause we are.
Her: how are you? how's Damon? How was the honeymoon?
Me: we are all good mom. The honeymoon was magical though we came back 3 days earlier than planned
Her: why?
Me: I missed my daughter and my family
Her: that's cute. So you guys are in Durban?
Me: yes, we are. I was thinking of coming home next week to see you
Her: I would very much love that honey
Me: great. So what have I missed on your side?
Her: oh nothing much. We'll talk about it all when you here. Also I want pictures you guys took in New Orleans
Me: and you will get them all mom
Her: I love you baby
Me: I love you too mom. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ok?
Her: you too my baby. Bye
Me: bye//
"how is she?"
I looked up and Damon was walking out of the shower with a towel around his waist.
Me: she's good. Though I suspect that there's something she's not telling me
Him: you imagining things babe.
Me: I hope so
Him: I have to go to the office. Please take Yana with you and mom
Me: Damon
Him: babe it's an emergency
I got up and walked to the bathroom
Him: Mahle come on
He was walking right behind me
Him: I need to catch up on the work I missed out on these past two weeks
Me: so what? It's my fault that you missed out on work? When you wanted us to stay for three more days, didn't you know you had work to get back to?
He sighed
Him: ok fine. I'll stay
I don't even know why I was tripping. It's not even like I was going to spend the rest of the day with him. I was just being a spoilt brat and selfish
Me: no its fine
He raised his hands up in surrender and walked out. I brushed my teeth and then showered. When I walked out he was nowhere to be seen. I took my robe and wore it then went downstairs. I could hear laughter coming from the kitchen and more than one voice.

I love my wife but she can be a pain in the ass especially with her being pregnant. I can't wait for her to pop already. I know I'm the one that got her pregnant to begin with but I didn't think it would be like this. We got a visit from Amber and Liz. We were in the kitchen making breakfast and I was telling her about Mahle's behaviour and she was laughing at me
Her: you wanted her to get pregnant so deal with it
Me: yeah and now I want her to pop already. Where's Stu and Luc?
Her: they having a boys whatever. Stu said he was taking him to some camp with other kids and their fathers
Me: and Liz didn't want to go?
Her: actually she said she wanted to spend the day with Mahle
Me: your daughter must think she's the same age as my wife
We both laughed and just then Mahle walked in
Her: Mornings. I didn't know you guys were here
She and Amber shared a hug and then broke it
Amber: how's pregnancy?
Mahle looked at me first
Her: it has its days. I can't wait to pop already so I can go back to work
Amb: is that so? And what about the kids?
Her: I'll stay with them until they 6 months at least and then find them a nanny
Amber nodded
Amb: and how does Mr Bess feel about that?
She shrugged. All this was new to me. We never really spoke about what happens after she gives birth and how long she's going to stay with the kids. She was dropping a bomb on me knowing that I wasn't going to argue with her in the presence of Amber. She looked at me
Me: sis it was great seeing you but I have to get to work.
Amber: it's a Saturday
Me: I know but I have a lot to catch up on
She got up to hug me, I walked over to kiss Mahle's cheek and then walked out leaving them. When I got to work I got right into work. I had a lot to do. Plus, I was catching myself up on the cases I had missed and pretty much everything that happened in my absence. Siya really did my job well but there were those people that wanted me to handle their cases personally. I was planning on furthering my studies the next year. I wanted to be a judge and not just a lawyer anymore. I was online checking ways to go about it.
