Narrator POV
Outside Oxcross, Thunder rumbles through the darkness. It is raining at the gold cloak encampment. Two gold cloaks are arguing over who is the best fighter. Guard #1 says "It's got to be the Mountain. He's the biggest. He's the strongest."
Rennick says "Bulls are bigger than lions. Doesn't mean I'd pick a bull in a fight."
"If the bull had fangs and claws, I would. Right, the Mountain or our man Jaime."
"If he ever gets out."
"Loras Tyrell?"
"Loras Tyrell. He's prettier than the Queen."
"I don't care about pretty. He's better with a sword than any of them."
"How good could he be? He's been stabbing Renly Baratheon for years, and Renly ain't dead." They laugh, and a horse neighs nervously "The horses seem a little spooked to you? They're horses."
"They get spooked by their own shadows."
"Shh. Do you hear that?"
"No."
"There's something out there."
The soldiers both stand to investigate the darkness. They move forward cautiously until Rennick lets out a loud fart. Guard #1 jumps and Rennick laughs raucously "Oh. Oh, you're a right little prick. You should see your face."
"I swear you pissed yourself. "Oh, who goes there? Ahh!"
"There is something out there."
"Yeah, don't even try me."
"Rennick."
"Do you think I'm an idiot?"
"Rennick!" he draws his sword. A dire wolf leaps from the darkness and attacks Rennick. King Robb Stark's face appears in the darkness as Rennick screams.
Robb and his Northern men sit quietly on their horses, listening as a pack of wolves descends upon the Lannister men. Man shouts "King in the North! The King in the North!"

The next morning, The Northern forces completed their assault on the encampment. bodies and wounded men in the mist. Horses neigh and soldiers cry out in pain. Lord Roose Bolton and Robb walk through the aftermath, followed by a handful of Northern soldiers. Roose says "Five Lannisters dead for every one of ours. They're dead. Take everything they've got. We've nowhere to keep all these prisoners. Barely enough food to feed our own."
Robb says "We're not executing prisoners, Lord Bolton."
"Of course, Your Grace. The officers will be useful. Some of them may be privy to Tywin Lannister's plans."
"I doubt it."
"Well, we'll learn soon enough. In my family, we say, "A naked man has few secrets. "A flayed man none.""
"My father outlawed flaying in the North."
"We're not in the North."
"We're not torturing them."
"The high road's very pretty, but you'll have a hard time marching your army down it."
"The Lannisters hold prisoners of their own. I won't give them an excuse to abuse my sisters."
A wounded soldier shouts "No, don't! Don't! Please!"
Talisa says "Shhh." A Wounded soldier struggles as Talisa removes his tattered pants and tries to tend to his bloody legs while another woman tries to help "The rot's set in."
"No, don't! No, don't!"
Talisa shuts him "Shh."
"Please, don't! It'll get better. It doesn't even hurt."
Lyanna POV
I approach and hold his shoulder "Easy, soldier" looking at Talisa "What is wrong with him?"
Talisa answers me "The rot will spread if we don't take the foot now"
The wounded soldier says "No, you can't!"
I say "You should listen to her"
The wounded soldier says "Lady, please, I beg you, Lady"
Robb approaches, looking concerned as he struggles. Robb kneels and holds the man down
"Ser! Please, ser. I can't lose-"
"You'll die if she doesn't."
"I don't want to be a cripple, please."
I say "It's hard but that's the only way to stay alive"
Roose to Talisa "Surely one of our men needs your attention more than this cub."
Talisa says "Your men are not my men, my lord"
I glare at him "Keep your mouth shut, Bolton"
Roose glares at me.
Robb takes a gag "Put this in your mouth and lie down. You don't want to watch."
The wounded soldier says "No! You can't!"
"Bite on it. It's better than biting your own tongue, believe me."
I say "You can hold my hand"
Robb holds the Wounded soldier down and he holds my hand as Talisa saws off his foot. He screams through the gag that Robb placed in his mouth. Robb watches the resigned Talisa see through, impressed by her resolve.
After we finish helping the Lannister soldier, I stand as Bernia watching with jealousy. I approach her "Someone jealous"
Bernia looks at me "I'm not, they are talking"
I approach her ear "The first time I saw Jaime we were talking and I was pointing a dagger at his chest"
"So what I should do?"
"Act fast before she takes him from you"

Narrator POV
A mounted soldier rides slowly, carrying the Stark banner. Talisa readies a cart carrying a wounded man. It starts forward, and Talisa looks exhausted. Robb looks over at her. She notices and turns. Robb approaches "What's your name?"
"Talisa."
"Your last name?"
"You want to know what side my family fights on?"
"You know my family name. You have me at a disadvantage."
"That boy lost his foot on your orders."
"They killed my father."
"That boy did?"
"The family he fights for."
"Do you think he's friends with King Joffrey? He's a fisherman's son that grew up near Lannisport. He probably never held a spear before they shoved one in his hands a few months ago."
"I have no hatred for the lad."
"That should help his foot grow back." She walks away in frustration, carrying a heavy pail.
Robb follows "You'd have us surrender, end all this bloodshed. I understand. The country would be at peace and life would be just under the righteous hand of good King Joffrey."
"You're going to kill Joffrey?"
"If the gods give me strength."
"And then what?"
"I don't know. We'll go back to Winterfell. I have no desire to sit on the Iron Throne."
"So who will?"
"I don't know."
"You're fighting to overthrow a king, and yet you have no plan for what comes after?"
"First we have to win the war." Frustrated, Talisa climbs onto a horse's cart, and signals it to start off "You never told me where you're from."
"Volantis."
"Volantis? You're far from home. The boy was lucky you were here."
"He was unlucky that you were." Talisa rides away, and she and Robb watch one another as she gets further and further away

Lyanna POV
In Robb's tent, I am looking at the map, trying to figure out what is next, I see Roose Bolton enter the tent "What are you doing here?"
I turn to him "None including you"
"Show me some respect girl"
"My name is Lady Lyanna Lannister and show me respect or I will send your head to your house as a gift"
"You going to regret it"
I smirk "I will not"
Robb gets in "What is going on?"
"Nothing brother, I'm just getting to know your trustworthy men" '
Roose heads outside.
Robb asks "What did you do to him?"
"Bernia prettier"
"Piss off"
I hit his hand "You kicked my people"
Robb sitting in front of me "I beg your pardon"
"These Lannisters are my people and you hurt them, brother"
"It's a war"
"A war if we are on the battlefield, big brother" I sigh "You just attack when they are asleep, Where are the rules that we learn?"
"So what are you gonna do?"
"Revenge maybe"
"You speaking as lord Tywin"
"I sat with this man for a month he is incredibly intelligent and That's my point Jaime sent me to tell you that"
"He threatened me"
"No brother he warns you from his father"
"Tell him this not working with me and you became blind cause you love him"
"Robb, I'm talking seriously Lord Tywin has eyes and ears here one of your men"
"Oh come on"
"Listen to me, I and Jaime don't know who but listen to us, brother something bad going to happen"
Robb stands "Listen to who? To the Kingslayer"
"Give us a chance, don't be like our father he doesn't listen to the people who warn him, and look what happens" Robb stares at me "I'm sorry but I don't wanna lose you too. I win every war I enter with these men so don't tell me who I'm gonna trust cause"
He shouts "I won't trust your husband or you, you are a bastard and di___" I stare at him as he realizes what he is saying "I am. I'm sorry Lyanna I didn't mean it"
I shake my head "No, you made your point and I know all of that but because you are my brother I warn you again someone gonna like Lannisters gold, excuse me" I head outside.

In the dungeons, Jamie and I sitting together, he is in the chains, and Jaime angrily "Great just great"
"I warned him"
"I don't understand aren't you Snow White to them, The Stark's happiness, Why Seven hells he doesn't trust you"
"Cause I'm your wife"
Jaime sighs "Fine so If Daenerys crosses the sea with Dothraki"
"I wish no, Jaime, The Seven Kingdoms are at war with one another. Four kings destroying the country."
"To win Westeros, Daenerys needs support from Westeros."
"Who will support her, The Starks fight the Lannisters, and Baratheons fight each other."
"You don't want Daenerys on the Iron Throne"
I shake my head "No! She didn't raise here and if someone has to claim the throne it will be Daeron or Viserys"
"Viserys is still a child"
"Then?"
"All of us must be prepared, I know the Dothraki are afraid of water but with Targaryen in mind, I'm sure one day they will be here"
"They are like animals, I hear stories, they slave and rape people and steal money"
"I know but they are very powerful warriors so Westeros should be prepared and stop this madness, Robb, father, The Baratheons"
I sigh "No one can stop them than death"
"Stubborn, Robb frightened to fight me"
"He knows you will win and you killed ten people alone, you are Jaime Lannister, the best solider in the Seven Kingdoms and Robb is new but has a great mind"
"I'm flattered, dear wife"
"We have been married for a year and we didn't feel like married"
"We are cursed, we didn't stay together in one place we lost our son"
"Our plan is dead"
"Great stories to tell to our grandchildren"
I smile "Grandchildren"
Jaime takes a deep breath "Yes, we will be in Casterly Rock, and our children married and we will be sitting with their children telling them how Ser Jaime Lannister met a princess and she stole his dagger"
I laugh "I thought you were a hunter" Jaime laughs and I hold his hand
Jaime squeezes my hand "Robb tells you you are dishonored right?"
"No, he didn't"
"He did cause you to have the same look I have when they call me the kingslayer"
"He didn't mean it"
"Well, he did or not but our plan is going well"
"How Jaime? We don't have the army and we don't have Daeron or anything"
"We have the army and we have supported more than can Daenerys have so be more patient, please"
"If I stayed with your patient plan we would be old and still stuck here"
Jaime laughs "Trust me, everything going as we want"
