A few hours had passed since Yukari left the apartment for her parent's house.
She actually woke up around an hour later, and she let go upon seeing him read a book with one hand, and allowing her to hold on to the other.
Hopefully she'd be fine, eventually the trauma would go away....
Carm stayed alert for any calls whatsoever regarding her condition.

The Army took it upon themselves to restore the demolished tank of his.
And see if they couldn't get it back to how it looked originally.
Carm walked down the a sidewalk on the school ship of Ōarai girl's academy,
The setting sun would cast his shadow dozens of feet in front of him,
As he walked down the sidewalk
He could only think about Yukari really,
Her mental health must be declining rapidly,
Seeing tanks in real war changed her in such an unforgiving and painful manner,
She had, up until that point, probably believed in the propaganda that tanks were feminine,
Even though that sounds completely foolish and ridiculous to believe, it was probably the only thing she ever heard.
It was a tragedy, really, all this feminine propaganda, the sheer deception, on a massive scale, deceives people into thinking that even massive murderous war machines, built and pioneered by men, are female.
An absolute disgrace to all who built and crewed them in the past,
Too bad Yukari had to learn in just about the hardest way fathomable.
He chuckled a little, wondering just how they might react the second they hear that tanks are actually the most masculine thing that they could imagine.
He hoped none of them would quit.....

On the way back he visited the garage, where hundreds of personnel were hard at work fixing his ruined tank,
They were doing many different part replacements,
A completely new gun and and engine were due to be shipped,
and all of the extra stuff they added in the field was considered "illegal."
So unfortunately no Super T29.
He didn't think Kuromorimine would've had half a hope against that.
But he didn't really want to think about tanks right now.
He went into his room and fell on the bed.
As per usual,
He tried to watch a movie or play some peaceful video games, to try and distract himself.

Someone knocked on the door,
Who could THAT be?
He walked over and opened it.
It was Miho,
She had a tear-stained face,
Okay.... what was she doing here?
"Afternoon...." Carm said
Miho started to break down a little,
"Why are you crying so much?" He said
"I saw the your tanks recorder footage!" She said, relatively loudly.
"Oh you did now did you?" Carm said in a sarcastic tone,
"Mmhmm....." Miho said while jerking back tears
"I'm so sorry!" She said
She immediately started breaking down entirely.
"Thank you for protecting her....." she said after calming down.
Carm knew what she meant by her.
It was his job to protect all his crewmembers.
After a short conversation Miho decided to go to her apartment,
Which was the apartment directly below his.
Wait a second...... if they reviewed the footage.....

Carm turned on the TV to the news channel, eager to see what they'll be playing.
Of course the news was playing about the camera footage.
Carm even popped a bag of popcorn real quick.
Ah, the gasps and reactions of the news crews were priceless, as they showed a censored version of what they were in on the cameras.
"Ah, respect......." Carm said, as he watch the representatives of Kuromorimine's faces twist in horror.
Around two or so hours passed as they continued to cover it
Shiho Nishizumi herself got up on the podium in front of thousands of waiting people, trying to see what Kuromorimine had to say about the whole thing.
"After careful consideration of all factors.......
Blah blah blah
......Kuromorimine has come to the conclusion that this is an artificially made incident,
To try and deceive us....." she said,
a few mixed reactions came out of the audience
Wow.... Just..... wow at this point.
You can't act genuine terror.
"What would we get out of going missing for an hour and wrecking our own tank?" Carm thought to himself
Some people are too smart to know that they're complete fools is what.
Oh, when the match finally comes, he'll show them that such experience doesn't just miraculously materialize.
Oh, Mrs Nishizumi, poor......poor...... fellow,
It was at that point he decided that he was gonna gut them alone, and well, his crew as well.
The other major parties that were involved,
Such as the US Army and representatives of Ōarai, agreed that it was real,
Kuromorimine still couldn't find the bizarre reality,
Maybe because their leaders were living on a completely different planet than ours,
Because they certainly acted like aliens.

Carm then got a call on his phone.
"Hello?" He said
It was Yukari's mother.
"Hey Carm, It's Yukari again." She said
"Is there something wrong!?" Carm immediately questioned.
"Uh, she won't come out of her room, even for dinner..."
"On my way!" Carm immediately said
If she's having another panic attack....

Carm opened the door to her house,
"She's right upstairs in her room."
Carm went upstairs and knocked on the door,
*clack *clack *clack
He then opened the door,
Yukari was asleep, at six in the afternoon.
Once again having an absolutely horrible nightmare.
Her room was different, to say the least, all of the war related stuff (which was everywhere) was covered in blankets and tarps and whatnot.
Yukari woke up upon hearing him walk across the wooden floor.
She raised her head sheepishly from bed,
"Are you actually there, or is this another dream" she said, waving out her hand.
Then she actually touched his chest, causing her to move her hand back a little as she realized that she in fact, was not dreaming.
"Ah!" She said.
"Yup, it's me, your parents told me you weren't leaving your room and I thought——"
She brought him into a hug again,
They stood there for a few minutes.
Yukari fell asleep in his arms.
Unfathomably cute, but she must be getting no sleep whatsoever.
Carm put her back in bed, still asleep,

Carm headed back to his apartment building.
It was absolutely terrible having her silently suffer like this,
Carm brainstormed a way to try and get her to snap out of it,
Her favorite tank was the 7TP with two turrets right?
Carm spent that hours of that night making calls and trying to prepare something that could hopefully snap her out of her terrible thought trauma.

1:00 am
Carm was asleep, having spent until 11:45 making calls.
*knock *knock
Carm woke up
Who would be here at one in the morning?
After loading his handgun, he proceeded to the door,
You never know who could be at the door at 1 am.
Carm looked through the peephole in his door
It wasn't a stranger.....
It was......
Yukari?
......At 1 am?!
Carm opened the door, looking as tired as ever.
Yukari was just standing there, her stance seemed to shrink upon realizing what she did.
"I Uh, I..... had a n-nightmare again......" she stammered out
And then she said the weirdest thing.
"C-Can I Uh..... c-can I-I s-sleep in your bed....."
(THATS NOT CREEPY WHATSOEVER)
Kinda like a kid would do if they had a nightmare, they would ask their parents to sleep with them
But Carm never did a sleepover before
Just, sleeping in bed with someone not from your family is weird, even if was just a sleepover.
Carm got an idea, that could hopefully nullify the weirdness.
After allowing her to go inside, Carm made a wall of pillows on the bed, to seem like they were in two separate beds,
That should work,
Carm turned of the light
"Goodni—"
Annnnnnnd she's out.
Oh well,
Carm scooted over to the furthest away edge of the bed,
The weirdness and awkwardness was extremely prevalent.
He yanked out some earbuds, and Started playing his Sabaton playlist, that should help him get to sleep
The music started playing....
Ahhhhhhhhh, relief.
Annnnnnnnnd he's out
