Interruption

At the next major staff meeting, Izuku and Sadako explained everything they knew. Nezu was now quietly panicking even more than he was before, stating outright, "What am I going to tell the Commission? There's only so much time I can lead them away from the topic of why Hawks, the number 3 hero, is gone."

Izuku dismissed their presence. After all, they usually just... got in the way. Especially with what the green haired boy predicted. At this point, having not caught any of the Veil members yet... his patience was running thin. "Well, just tell them a villain is running loose."

Midnight, nervous about anything related to that... incident, was far more cautious. "Hawks was number 3 for a reason, Izuku."
Sadako normally would've been very jealous... but even she understood why the teacher as so... casual to use a first name. That being because he saved the heroine. And for that reason alone, did she allow it. Meanwhile, Izuku, on the other hand, still brushed her concerns aside. "It doesn't matter, I want to help teach heroics, so that I can prepare my class..."
It was then that there was a phone call. It was from the lead secretary, the one who met parents and guests, and was in charge of the gate. "Sir, there is a government representative here."
"What? Tell them I am busy..."

She still reported dutifully, "It is not going to work. They are going to your office."

Panicing over appearrances, the white furred mammal replied back, "But I'm in the staff meeting room!"

With a demure voice, the secretary asked, "What do you want me to do?"

Nezu gritted his teeth. This whole situation was one of the worst kinds of scenarios he could have, especially with the answers being what they were. "Send them here."

"Yes sir." She hung up.

In a few minutes of guarded tension, footsteps could be heard before the door finally opened. An austere woman was flanked by two bodyguards. They were picked for their intimidating appearances, as well as flashy quirks, which didn't clash with their black suits. The atmosphere in the room darkend, and both Izuku and Sadako could tell that things were very... tense. The greenette motioned to stay quiet, and calm, as now was not the time to make a scene.

The woman didn't regard anyone in the room except for the dutiful principal. "Nezu, you have some explaining to do. You've been deflecting, ignoring my calls, and doing everything in your power to hide the whereabouts of Hawks. Where is he?"

"Well..." Nezu was nervous at this time, because lying and telling the truth would have the same result. He did not anticipate that she would come here in person. "Hawks is..."
Izuku spoke up, seeing that this would not be resolved without the truth that Nezu was unwilling to give. It risked hell, but time was short. While he didn't want to make a scene... it was clearly unavoidable. "Dead."
She whipped to face him. This was not Nezu. In fact, she had no clue who this... boy was. And how he could sso callously speak to her in that way. Her voice was sharp, and Sadako tensed at the tone, glaring at her underneath her dark hair. "What was that?" The HPSC President's eyes narrowed, "What is a... no, what are childred doing in here?"
Izuku, however, only reponded dryly. "Says the uninvited guest."

The room was quiet enough to hear a pin drop. "What would you know, brat?"

Well, she wanted to be snippy? He could be the same right back. Slyly, he started, "Well... I know that you are having trouble with a new set of villains. You've probably been hearing the name Black Veil go around, and they recently broke Tomura Shigaraki out of prison. Am I wrong?"

Fuming, but incredulous, she narrowed her eyes, "How do you..."

Izuku ignored her, and continued to outline what he knew that she knew as well. "There will also have been reports of villains with attacks that are... uncounterable or... do more damage... than is possible with a single hit... They're probably targeting pro heroes, right?"

She walked over to him, until she was physically staring down at the boy. "You have information on them, then why hide it?"

"Because I don't think you would believe me if I told you. I've barely managed to convince UA staff. We are preparing for war, here."
She scoffed, not catching the meaning of what he was saying. "War? International conflict is unlikely..."
And due to her ignorance, he sighed with annoyance. Gesturing widely, he explained further. "Think on a bigger scale. Multiversal. A Goddess sends her soldiers here, recruiting from the twisted and broken. And your system helped foster people like that. That is why you weren't told."

Angered by the accusation of creating more problems than answers, she had half a mind, after this meeting, to use one of the HPSC's assets to eliminate a problem... but knew that would link back to her. "You..."
He interrupted, and the information in this interruption made her finally realize that this was a much bigger problem, and that everything was on the line. "There are two invasion sites because of tragedies. If the Veil creates another tragedy, then it will be near impossible to contain it when the goddess does invade. And she will, because she hates me for escaping the hell that is her realm. If she takes this world, you better hope that you die first, because for her, death is not an escape."

She sighed, not arguing that. It was too much to process, and something she was unprepared for. "How did Hawks die?"
Glancing at Midnight, who looked down, not meeting anyone's eyes, the greenette was more careful with his delivery. "The Huntress. She is well known for using her hatchets with precision, and currently has a hyper lethal version of them which cause paralysis. He saved Midnight from a lethal attack. Dying as an actual hero."

"I... I see..." She glanced at the heroine, who still couldn't meet her eyes. The Commission representative was sympathetic to the trauma, at least. She had been saved by heroes in the past, before rising to the position she was in... and had massive respect for those who go down swinging.

Izuku continued, "The Huntress is a part of the Black Veil. Along with Talbot Grimes, their initial target, and Katsuki Bakugo."
That snapped her attention back to reality. That name was very familiar, as she remembered him from the class lists of potential heroes... "Wait a minute, wasn't he a student of yours?" She turned to Nezu.

"Eh, he was already broken before he got to UA. A prideful, spiteful, narcissist." Izuku interrupted, drawing her attention back. He shrugged, "Either way, I have a plan to defeat her. The more that know about it, though, the more likely it will be leaked, and it will fail. I cannot allow that."

She nodded that, understanding the nature of classified operations. "Very well, but I want all the information you have on the Black Veil, so we can deal with them."
"I'll get as much as I can, then." Izuku said curtly.

She smiled, "At least you can be reasoned with. Occasionally."
"If you knew what my life was like, you'll understand why I am... adamant about some things."

"Very well. Nezu, you're off the hook for now. But lie like that again, and you will have the full force of the hero commission after you." She turned and left.

Nezu was impressed, and said after she was gone from earshot. "You held yourself quite well against her."
The boy relaxed visibly, but was still annoyed by the interruption. "Who even was she?"
Nezu's expression didn't change as he told the boy: "The President of the Hero Commission."

Izuku's eyes widened, and he laughed, "Really? It sounds like I had her respect."
Nezu agreed with that assessment. And it baffled him, to be honest. But, it may have been for the simple reason that he wasn aligned with her intersts for the moment. "Somehow. She doesn't like disrespect, but it seems like you won her over somehow."

The greenette sighed, accepting the circumstances, while leading back to the main point. "Yeah... but we still need to prepare the hero students for the future."

The mammal agreed, "I'll leave that to you, Kamiji, and Yagi."

"Very well." Toshinori nodded, and Burnin raised a fist into the air, "You can count on us! Wait, what about Class B?"

"They will definitely need to catch up. Kan, it may be best to..."
Izuku closed his eyes, thinking for a moment, before interrupting the principal. "Next lesson. I will tell both classes everything next lesson."
Nezu stopped. "Is that... wise?"
"It doesn't matter if it is, at this point. If you keep them in the dark about why things are so necessary, then they will become discontent. Besides, three of them already know."

Brushing over that last fact, the white furred mammal issued orders, "Then Kan, when is the next time you have a heroics slot with Class A?"
"Tomorrow." Vlad king responded.

Nezu nodded, glad that things were aligning in their favor at this point. "Good. You'll have the first of many joint sessions. Izuku will give background and tips."
Izuku nodded, "Facing killers is very different to villains. You need to be extra careful. I will give tips and tricks, of both survivors..." He turned to Sadako, "And killers."

Sadako finished the conversation, "We'll tell them everything, and it's up to them to make the most of it."

"Then that is our plan going forward. This meeting is now over." Nezu had to get the last word in, but nobody was going to contest that.
