Destruction

Everyone is held back
By gender
By age
By race
By religion
By thoughts
By clothes
By likes
By opinions
By anything and everything different
People fight people
Because they think they are right
Because they are scared everything is going to change
Because we don't know how to handle emotions
We cause death and destruction
Just so we have peace
We have to pave over others mistakes
And hope it doesn't happen again
When we all know it will
Our ignorance has led to a time
Of pain
Of weakness
Of destruction
Of defeat
Of grief
When we realize that our difference is the only thing that save us
It's hidden all around us
We just need love and acceptance
And maybe one day
We'll be happy
We'll be one while being different
We'll know what it's like to be free
