Y/n pov
"Nakime, Rui! Stop, leave them alone!" I got up and attempted to run to them but my arm was grabbed by Rengoku.
"Young L/n please calm down." Rengoku suggested while slightly tugging on my arm.
I completely ignored Rengoku and instead started to walk, instead of getting anywhere my legs just slid on the rocks only getting me a few centimeters closer to them.
I pulled harder to only be meet with a tighter grip on my wrist slowly but surely I'll get there but I may be too late.
I look back to Nakime and Rui, standing in the shade, Nakime doesn't seem tempted at all but Rui on the other hand..
His drool is dripping onto the ground, his hands are balled up into fists so tightly that his arms are shaking and he's breathing heavily.
Same as Nezuko, she seems to be struggling immensely.
I look to Tanjiro and he's still struggling underneath Obanai's hold until Giyuu grabbed his wrist. Tanjiro quickly scrambled to the patio watching everything.
I felt a release on my wrist and I make a run for it. Now might be my only chance in helping Rui.
Just before I reach there though I see a kakushi right beside me and I feel a hard hit on my neck.
I reach out to Nakime and Rui, trying to call their names but I fail to speak, I feel a falling sensation and I here my name being called. And everything goes black.
3rd person pov
"Y/n!" the three shout in unison
Rui, becoming increasingly enraged by the treatment of the Demon Slayer Corp's own men and allies all he wanted to do was lash out at the attacker and he was just about to.
Nakime, trying to stay calm quickly walks towards Sanemi and tried to bandage his wound put her hand was slapped away as he promptly said
"The hell?!"
Nakime wished she had the confidence Y/n does to say some sort of comeback but instead just decided to set down the bandages near Sanemi and walked back to Rui and Nezuko.
Rui took a step forward towards Sanemi but was stopped by a sudden voice
"Nezuko Rui! Don't give in!" Tanjiro encouraged
Right, Tanjiro went to check on Y/n, the said kakushi was lecturing them even though they were clearly knocked out cold. Shinobu ordered him to leave the meeting and he left immediately.
Y/n was now at least safe in Tanjiro's arms. Nezuko seemed to be contemplating or trying to resist the urge.
Rui was also struggling too, the harm of the person who spared him made it even worse.
But eventually
They turned their heads, Nakime pointed to the bandages and Rui just simply glared at him after turning his head, Nezuko seemed to need some work on resistance to blood since she was breathing fairly heavily and locked her eyes shut.
"What happened?" the master asked his daughter
"The demon boy turned his head with a slight struggle, the demon girl with the muzzle turned her head in disgust. The other demon girl showed no sign of struggle and even stepped up to bandage Shinazagawa's cut despite being stabbed they all refused and were repulsed by the blood." the girl informed him
"So there it is, undeniable proof that these Nezuko, Rui, and Nakime won't attack humans." The master concluded
Obanai tugged his wrist out of Tomioka's hand and asked
"What do you think you're doing, Tomioka?"
Tanjiro simply just kept staring at the group of demons trying to take in what just happened.
Until he was interrupted by the master speaking to him
"Tanjiro, I'm sure even after this people will still not believe you and Y/n, please look towards changing their minds prove to them that all of you can be helpful to our cause by fighting as demon slayers" He stated calmly
Tanjiro nodded his head not wanting to put Y/n down
"Go out and defeat a twelve kizuki member, do that and you will be accepted by all. Your words will carry more weight as a result." he instructed
"I promise, we will defeat Kibutsuji! Rest assured we will not falter and we will strike him down!" Tanjiro said, determined.
"That's a bit ambitious for a small group let's start by defeating a twelve kizuki first." the master replied
"Yes sir" Tanjiro blushed, clearly embarrassed.
Mitsuri began holding back a giggle as well as Shinobu
"It goes without saying that the hashira of the demon slayer corp have phenomenal skills" he began
"They've trained themselves to the very brink of death and have defeated it as well as those of the twelve kizuki." he continues
"Yes! A noble pursuit!" Rengoku added
"That's why the hashira receive respect and favorable treatment so it would be best for you to mind your manners when addressing them Tanjiro. Once Y/n wakes up I will talk to them about this as well." he consoled
"Also Sanemi, Obanai, don't torment the younger ones too much." he ordered, still in the calm and kind tone as before
"As you wish." Obanai and Sanemi replied
"We've concluded our business with you and Y/n you may step back." he said
Shinobu then raised her hand and spoke
"If that's the case Master allow me to take Tanjiro and Y/n to my abode!"
"Huh?" Tanjiro deadpaned
Shinobu then clapped her hands twice
"Alright take them away please!" she ordered
A kakushi ran up to Nezuko's box but then stop after she looked at the kakushi. Meanwhile another kakushi went to Nakime and Rui's box but hesitated as Rui glared at them.
"Pardon us!" two Kakushis ran over one of them was the same that knocked out Y/n.. Bowed to everyone and grabbed Tanjiro by the collar and ran away while Tanjiro was on his back, the other one that appeared with him grabbed Y/n but slightly more gently and carried them on her back. While also bowing to everyone.
The two Kakushis with the boxes jumped off the padio and scrambled to catch up with the group.
"Hold on just a second!-" Tanjiro yelled as he turned the corner but was then scooped back up but the kakushis while repeatedly apologizing over Tanjiro's yelling about needing to headbutt Sanemi for as many times as he stabbed Nezuko, Rui, and Nakime.
Before they turned the corner again Tanjiro heard the master say
"Give Tamayo my regards."
Y/n Pov
I was woken up by the 'oh so wonderful sound' of Zenitsu yelling.
"Five times?! I gotta take this five times a day?! For THREE MONTHS?!?" IT'S BITTER TOO"
"Would you please stop shouting there's two another patient trying to sleep!" a little girl pleaded
"What happened Zenitsu? So you came up the mountain after all?" I heard the sound of Tanjiro's voice.
"IT WAS TERRIBLE! I GOT BIT BY THIS ICKY SPIDER AND IT REALLY HURT AND THAT GIRL HAS BEEN YELLING AT ME SINCE I GOT HERE" Zenitsu yelled while holding onto the Kukushis clothes
I noticed that his sleeves where either extremely over sized, stretched out, or he was incredibly small.
"I've got nothin to do with this so please stop crying on me." the poor Kukushi mumbled
"Did you get smaller Zenitsu?" Tanjiro asked
"The spider that bit me almost turned me into a weird spider thing so my arms and legs are short now" he explained as some snot strung out of his nose and onto the kakushis uniform.
Tanjiro begins to ask about Murata and Inosuke but Zenitsu points to a creepily quiet Inosuke.
He began apologizing to Inosuke about not being able to rescue him and is met with Inosukes voice becoming much quieter due to it being hoarse
"It's ok, don't worry about it.." He says
The Kukushi placed me on the bed next to Inosuke
I thank the Kukushi and she was surprised by me being awake already but I was still laying down.
"Oh Y/n you're awake! I thought you would be knocked out longer. " Tanjiro said happily
"Wait wait wait.. Knocked out?!" Zenitsu yells
"Yeah that Kukushi knocked me cold since I was out of line plus I made a break for it to where the master was so I could help Nakime, Rui and Nezuko but about halfway everything went black." I explained
"How come you didn't say anything when you woke up?" the Kukushi that carried me asked
"It's very tiring resisting a hashira pulling really hard on your arm, I'm surprised I didn't get any brusies or at least pull a muscle!" I replied
"Can you relay everything that happened for context?" Zenitsu asked
So I explained everything I saw and Tanjiro explained the rest after when I got knocked out.
