It's only been a couple of minutes since Izuku left to the batcave. As he enters the batcave he sees Bruce on the computer as Izuku walks up to Bruce he takes off his mask before talking to them.
Izuku: “what are you up to?”
Bruce: “powers is starting a new project which he is neglecting to fully share with me or the board”
Izuku: “something bad”
Bruce: “most likely and i have a feeling it’s something we’ll have to clean up”
Izuku: “Got any leads on it?”
Bruce: “only a name doctor abel cuvier apparently there creating something for the youth other than that i have nothing”
Izuku: “got time for a side project?”
Bruce: “depends on what it is”
Izuku: “the hero killer”
Upon hearing this bruce stops what he was doing and turns to look at Izuku
Izuku: “it’s not what you think”
Bruce: “really because it sounds like your thinking of going after the hero killer”
Izuku: “have you heard what happened to the hero engenium”
Bruce: “he was attacked by the hero killer”
Izuku: “well his younger brother is a classmate of mine”
Bruce: “and you think he’s going to go after the hero killer”
Izuku: “yeah i mean lida isn't at all defenseless but he won’t be able beat the hero killer”
bruce: "all i can give you of right now is a name"
Izuku: “and that is”
Bruce: “people have been saying his name is stain....maybe you should pay him a visit to make sure everything is ok”
Izuku: “yeh i’ll head out now call me if something comes up”
Bruce just groans in agreement as Izuku pulls his mask back on before jumping into the batmobile and drives to hosu. As soon as he made it to manual agency he landed the batmobile and located Lida's room.
With lida
Lida was sitting at his desk researching the hero killers last locations to try and find where he will strike again this was until he heard a voice call his name lida quickly looked round the room trying to find who the voice belonged to
Lida: “w-who’s there?”
As he was looking he heard a clicking sound come from the window of the room. As he looked over he could see Izuku turning visible again
Lida: “b-batman”
Batman: “tenya lida we need to talk”
Lida: “y-yeah”
Batman: “i know you going after the hero killer”
Lida: “w-what that is preposterous”
Batman: “lida i know your going after him for what he did to you brother”
Lida: “he cripled my brother stole his ability to walk from him he HAS TO PAY!”
Batman: (he really care for his brother…would i act the same is it was Izumi who was attacked)
Before Izuku could say anything bruce came on the coms as he answers he holds a hand up to lida to stop him from saying anything
Bruce com: “Izuku a yacht in the west side of the city has had reports of strange activity”
Batman: “i’ll get there as soon as i can and see what's up”
Lida: “Who are you talking to?”
Batman: “a friend”
Izuku begins to make his way to the window as he opens it he stops before jumping out. He grabs a small device with a single button on it from his utility belt and lightly throws it at lida
Batman: “here if you run into trouble puth the button it’ll send me your location”
Lida looks down at the device in his hands before looking back up to Izuku only to find him gone. Lida closes the window before pocketing the device. While this was happening Izuku was driving to the yacht
With the yacht
All of a sudden a group of five showed up
they started knocking the guards ever out or off the yacht as soon as they landed one of the yacht one of the passenger grab harpoon from the side before pointing it at one of the group with a sword in his hand
Passenger: “mines bigger than yours”
???: “all the money in the world but not an ounce of refinement”
After saying this he threw a playing card at the passenger’s feet as soon as it hit the ground the card exploded into gas. As soon as the passenger breathed it in he dropped to the ground uncounches. The masked man then looks at the other passengers before pointing his sword at them.
???: “your jewels your watches it you'll be so kind to turn them over to us and no cheep heroics”
With Izuku
Izuku driving close to the yacht before contacting bruce
Batman: “something weird happening alright”
He zooms in to get a better look
Batman: “that’s strange the robbers dressed as playing cards”
Bruce com: “did you say playing cards”
Batman: “yep they travel in you circles”
Bruce com: “unfortunately so”
Batman: “well i should probably introduce myself”
Back at the yacht
Two of the group were walking towards a woman who was holding onto her necklace for dear life as she was trying to tell the two to get away.
Passenger: “no. no. please”
???: “oh come on you'll have another one soon enough any you won't have to seal it”
???: “yeah she earns here’s the old fashion way”
As they were talking the male member of the two was playing with a dagger that was until it was knocked out of his hand by something moving fast. They both look at where it came from to see Izuku gliding down to them before they could react. Izuku glides into one of them before flying back up and landing on an upper balcony. He was about to dive back down until someone grabbed him by the throat and threw him back into a wall. When Izuku looked up he saw a large man in a plain white full bodysuit with an ace on his chest about to slam both his hands on him. Acting quick Izuku uses both his legs to kick him off the balcony. The large man lands in front of another two members of the gang. the woman looks at the man before speaking.
???: “time to go i say”
???: “sorry my love but this is why we came back”
Izuku jumps off the balcony and lands in front of them before running at them only for the man to throw a card at him that expanded into some form of fabric before wrapping round him stopping him from using his arm as he was struggling to get out the man grabs his sword and tries to take a swing at him Izuku doges his swings until he jumps away from him. taking advantage of every second he had he uses all his strength to rip the fabric off freeing himself. Acting quick he runs at him before kicks the man to the ground.upon seeing this the woman activates her cane which starts to spark with electricity she slams it into a power box this act causes the yacht’s engine to explode making the yacht start to sink the woman look at Izuku
???: “your choice hero who’s it going to be my husband or all these passengers”
As she was saying this Izuku looked round only to see the woman with the pearls about to fall off the yacht he quickly runs over to her as she fell over the railing Izuku manages to grab her before she could fall any further he pulled her up before looking at everybody
Batman: “GET TO THE LIFE RAFT!!”
The passengers do what they were told and head to the life rafts as they were boarding the raft’s Izuku look for the gang only to them flying away he just groans out of annoyance before calling bruce
Bruce com: “everything alright there”
Batman: “yeah fine perfect except they got away”
Bruce com: “we better reconvene you should know what you dealing with”
Batman: “be there soon”
After saying this the batmobile pulled up next to the yacht for Izuku to jump in and head to the batcave when he makes it to the batcave he hops out of the batmobile and proceeds to walk to bruce while pulling his mask down as he makes to bruce he leans on the computer before talking to bruce
Izuku: “so you going to tell me what i'm dealing with”
Bruce: “they call themselves the royal flush gang they started as a cadmus task force…until someone made them into something else over time they degraded to an aristocrat gang. There a family they bring in new members son’s, daughter’s, husbands, wife’s as the older ones retire or go to prison they think there better than everyone else the aristocrats of crime”
Izuku: “ok. Do they at least have names”
Bruce: “king, queen, jack, ten and ace”
Izuku: “well king said they came back here for this exact reason and something tells me he didn’t mean for the yacht”
Bruce: “they could be gunning for you you should be careful while your out there”
Izuku: “great a crazy card gang is coming after me like i don’t have enough on my plate at the moment”
Bruce: “head back to ua not much you an do tonight you should get some rest”
Izuku just nodded before leaving to head back to ua dorms
The next morning
Izuku was sparing with aizawa as izuku blocks a kick aizawa decides to take a break
Aizawa: “i think that's enough for now”
Izuku: “what come on don't tell me your getting tired already”
Aizawa: “i have papers to mark”
He turns to leave only for Izuku to yell for his attention
Izuku: “well what am i supposed to do now”
Aizawa: “anything you want why don’t you take that dog of your for a long walk”
After saying this aizawa walks into the main building leaving Izuku in the training field after a couple of minutes he grabs Ace and leaves ua heading towards the city. During his walk he kept thinking and rethinking if he should tell Uraraka his identity as he was thinking he made it to the city. He walked through the city until he hears a struggle down an alleyway without a second thought he heads down to see a blond girl being mugged by a man as the man was about to hit her Izuku steps in grabbing his arm and throwing him against the wall
Mugger: “hey what the hell do you think you're doing!?”
Izuku: “stopping a mugging i thought that was obvious”
Mugger: “you little shi~”
Izuku: “i'm going to give you two options leave now and never do anything like this again or i'm going to have my friend here rip you to shreds”
He says this while gesturing to ace who was growling at the mugger. Thinking over his options the mugger quickly gets up and runs off. After watching him run off Izuku looks at the girl who was standing behind him
Izuku: “are you ok”
???: “yeah thanks for the asist”
Izuku puts his hand out for a handshake which she accepted
Izuku: “Izuku yagi”
???: “Melanie Walker”
Izuku: “nice to meet you”
Melanie: “you to”
Izuku: “well me and ace should get going”
As Izuku was beginning to walk away melanie grabbed his arm
Melanie: “well if your not doing anything we could maybe…hangout and get to know each other if you want”
Izuku: “*blush* i-i yeah s-sure”
Melanie just smiles before she grabs his hand and drags him off. They spend most of the day talking about there lifes and family until they were walking over a bridge looking at the night sky
Izuku: “so you're new in town”
Melanie: “perpetually you know what it's like being up rooted every couple of weeks never really knowing what’s going to be happening next”
Izuku: “i'm beginning to get to know what that's like”
They both lean on the railing
Melanie: “two of a kind that's what we are”
Izuku: “yeah i guess we are”
Unknown to them a certain pink skinned girl was watching them. Melanie leaned in closer to Izuku.
Melanie: “i have to go now so i'll see you here at around 8”
Izuku: “i-i' em”
Before she could say anything, Melanie walks off leaving Izuku and Ace standing on the bridge as he and Ace walk off. Mina jumps in front of him.
Izuku: “mina!?. what are you doing here?”
Mina: “I was taking a break from my work experience and saw you with your secret friend?...girlfriend?”
Izuku: “she just a friend i made today”
Mina: “if you say so...how's things with you and uraraka”
Izuku: “i don't know i tried to talk to her before she went off for her work experience but...i don't think she wants to hear anything i have to say”
Mina: “just give her time she just needs to cool off”
Izuku: "i just want to know what i've done to make her so pissed at me"
mina: "you're an idiot sometimes you realize that right"
Izuku: "huh..what do you mean by that"
mina: "it's not what you've done it's what you didn't do"
Izuku: "i still don't get it"
mina: "I'm going to be here all night!...look she trusts you with anything but she knows that you're hiding something big from her and it hurts her...it's late i should go"
Mina starts running off Izuku was about to head back to ua until his phone went off when he looked at it he saw it was bruce phoning him
Izuku: (trubel)
He answers the phone
Bruce: “i might have a leed on the gang next target”
Izuku: “and you sure about this”
Bruce: “everything they steal related to playing cards in some way”
Izuku: “ok”
Bruce: “the local museum has an exhibit showcasing a sword belonging to a king a long time ago”
Izuku: “and you're sure about this”
Bruce: “some of the earliest european cards had swords instead of spades”
Izuku: “so how does the yacht fit in”
Bruce: “it part of a yacht club”
Izuku: “So you're sure they're striking there next?”
Bruce: “Considering the silent alarm was just triggered a moment ago yeah i'm sure. I've sent the car to pick you up get changed and stop them”
Izuku: “on it”
He hangs up on bruce before going down a alleyway and changing into his suit before waiting for the batmobile to arrive as soon as it did he tels ace to stay in the batmobile before he jumps out and heads to the museum as he arrives he lands on the roof and gets out only to see the security panel open and some of the wires cut poorly as well as the sky light looking like it was ripped off the building itself. Consciously he walks to the hole when he looks down he sees several guards knocked out as well as king reaching for the sword. He throws a batarang at kings hand stopping him from grabbing the sword. When they look up they see Izuku gliding down. He kicks Ace to the ground before turning to the rest of the gang.
Batman: “sorry but the gift shop is at the end of the tour”
Without saying anything Jack runs at him at the same time Ace is getting back up behind noticing that Izuku waits for Jack to get a little closer before running at him and sliding while grabbing one of his legs causing him to fall forward hitting into ace knocking him into a pillar where Izuku threw a bola to trap him to it. Before Izuku could do anything else, queen used her cane to shoot electricity, hitting him three times causing him to collapse to his hands and knees. While Izuku is trying to get up the group minus ten and king star surrounding him ace kicks him across the room near a statue with shield before queen fires another lightning bolt at him Izuku thinks fat and grabs the shield from the statue and deflects the boult right back at her as it hits her her throws the shield into jack knocking them both to the ground.
Batman: “that all you guys got”
King gives ten a look telling her to fight. She ran at Izuku before taking a swing at him he dodged the punch only for ten to immediately kick him in the stomach causing him to stumble back a little ten tries to punch him again on fro Izuku to catch her punch before quickly spinning her round pining her arm behind her back. As this was happening a guard walked in the room telling all of them ro freeze until Jack walked up behind him holding a knife against his throat.
King: “it appears we have been dealt a wild card if you value this man's life you will release my daughter and not fallow”
Thinking fast Izuku sticks a tracer on ten before letting her go and putting his hands up. The gang get on their cards before flying through a window with the guard. As they were flying away from the museum
Jack: “looks like a clean getaway”
King: “think so”
King looks back, seeing Izuku gliding after them. King looks at jack
King: “drop him”
Jack: “what”
Ten: “you can’t do that”
King: “Of course I can. You heard what i said drop him”
Jack: “sorry gramps”
Jack throws the guard off the card letting him fall to the ground seeing that Izuku immediately dives after him as soon as he grabs him Izuku uses his grapple to attach to a nearby building before swinging to another building's rooftop he immediately looks around trying to spot the gang only to see them gone be then checks up on the guard.
batman: “are you ok”
Guard: “yeah im fine”
batman: “ok come on i’ll take you back to the museum”
Izuku contracts bruce after doping the guard off at the museum
batman: “anything on that tracker i placed on ten”
Bruce com: “still trying to pinpoint the location i’ll contact you when i have a location”
After a while
Izuku was walking back to the bridge he was on earlier that day as he stood there for a few minutes thinking about what happened with Melanie earlier that day and how when she kissed him all he could think about was uraraka. This train of thought was interrupted by the sound of someone running towards him as he saw Melanie running to him before pulling him into a hug which he didn't return Which he didn’t return. She takes a step back before giving him a confused look
Melanie: “what's wrong”
Izuku: “i..I'm sorry but I can't”
Melanie: “can’t what?”
Izuku: “i can't go any further with this thing between us”
Melanie: “what do you mean?”
Izuku: “It's nothing against you it's just that i will only see you as a friend"
Melanie: “don't worry i get it i was only looking for a friend anyway after my family finish their work we most likely be moving but i can't say it wasn't fun to get to know you”
Izuku: “so were good”
Melanie: “golden"
they spend a while talking until it became late
melanie: "we should call it a night"
Izuku: "yeah see you around"
Melanie walks off in the opposite direction as he just smiled before walking the other direction until Bruce called him.
Izuku: “i'm going to assume you've found them”
Bruce: “the tracker’s last location is a hotel apartment currently being occupied by the walker family”
Izuku: “wait did you just say walker”
Bruce: “why?”
Izuku: “because i thick i just had a run in with ten sent be the location i’ll head there now”
After a while
Izuku was currently on the edge of a building across from the walker household he uses his detective vision only to see no one in the apartment
Batman: “looks like there out”
Bruce com: “according to police reports the gang has been spotted downtown so it won't be long until their back”
Batman: “i’ll head in and welcome them home”
Bruce com: “stay on guard we don't know if there are any traps”
Batman: “copy that”
After saying this he jumps off the building and glides to the balcony where he proceeds to pick the lock to the doors and walk in as he looks around he spots a metal case on the table when he opens it he sees it's full of jewels and one card. He picks the card up only for it to start sparking. He drops the card and runs to be caught in the explosion knocking him across the room. As he brushes off what happened he saw the gang coming back he quickly left the room so they didn’t spot him when they came in. As soon as they entered the room jack opened their loot showing everything they stole.
Jack: “we did it cash cards plastic gold”
Queen: “now i can actually buy some diamonds”
She looks at king seeing him with a stern look
Queen: “what's wrong. You look almost disappointed?”
King: “no batman i had a special card just for him”
King pulled a pure black card with a white skull on it out of his sleeve before putting it back in his sleeve. As he was talking jack noticed the scorch marks on the floor from the exploding card
Jack: “hey we've had a visiter”
King: “spread out search every inch of the house find our unwanted visiter”
The gang spread out across their home trying to find Izuku. Queen checked their bedrooms after a quick check she was about to leave when a silver ball rolled in here direction before she could do anything the ball released some gas causing her to pass out before she could fall on the floor Izuku catches her a lightly places on the bed he activates his detective vision seeing where the rest of them were spotting that jack was about to walk past the the room he quickly swings the door open hitting into jack knocking him out. Izuku dragged him into the room before anyone could spot them. As he placed Jack in the room a pair of arms grabbed him from behind and started crushing him. Izuku looks back to see it was ace crushing him with his detective vision he could see that ace was a robot quickly he reaches for the center of his belt as soon as he pleases the center of his utility belt the suit has a surge of electricity go through it causing ace to let go before Izuku could do anything ace tackled him through the wall as they land in the hallway ace grabs a throws him across the hall into a wall before Izuku could do anything ave pins him to the wall while repeatedly punching him. Thinking fast Izuku placed his feet on ace’s chest before activating his rockets sending ace to the other side of the hallway landing in the laundry shoot before he could get out Izuku rockets towards him hitting ace knocking him down the shoot before he drops a bomb after a while he heard a explosion. After hearing this Izuku went back into the apartment as soon as he got in he saw ten standing there waiting for him as he got closer she jumped out the was only for king to jump out from behind a pillar immediately he threw the black card at Izuku as soon as it hit him it exploded sending Izuku out of a nearby window as he was falling he starts gliding trying to save himself only for king to fly down
King: “i knew you wouldn't disappoint me”
King sliced one of his wings causing izuku to continue to fall. While he was falling he used his grapple to attach onto kings card causing it to become unbalanced making king fly into the roof of a building. Ten hovers above them
King: “ten come down and get me”
As this was happening a police officer opened the door and shot the card ten was on making it brake causing it to fall. Seeing this Izuku jumped off the building and divided after her as he got closer her grabbed her and used his grapple to swing them to another building
Ten: “i don't suppose i could convince you to let me go”
Batman: “sorry but no”
After a while
The police were loading the gang into a police van as Izuku watched on top of a building watching them be taken away. He heads to the batmobile as he gets in bruce comes on coms
batman: “is everything ok”
Bruce com: “there's an attack on hosu multiple of those nomu’s get there now!”
Batman: “on it”
Izuku leaves and heads to hosu as fast as he could Only for the transponder he gave to lida go off flashing his location on the batmobile screen
