Avella had been avoiding Tom. She didn't want to get olbliviated but she had to tell someone, Dippet never believed her, but the only person who will is Dumbledore.
She went to the Professor Dumbledore's office, where he was reading with Fawkes on his right.
"Ah, miss Lestrange" he put the book down
"Please consider this a warning, Tom is going to unleash a plague on the school especially for muggles. You've got to expel him for the safety of the school" she pleaded
"You have no evidence. Therefore I cannot, Miss Lestrange." He sighed
"You believe me, right?" She questioned
"Yes, but I don't have that much power to permanently expel student" he replied
"Please I beg, keep an eye on him. He's no good" she tired to persuade him
"I will keep a close eye on him. But he hasn't done anything, yet." Dumbledore petted Fawkes.
At least she got somewhere. He thanked her for
Coming and she went out, but Tom was standing outside, and heard everything.
"You little minx thought I wouldn't know what you're planning?" He rhetorically asked
"I don't think you do, Tom." She tried to cover up
"You were going to turn me in. Too bad, i told you Dippet and the others would take my word instead of yours." He laughed bitterly
"What about Dumbledore?" She questioned
"I don't care about Dumbledore. What is he going to do? Like I heard, he has no power to expel me" the heir reminded her
"I'll make sure that will change." She gritted her teeth in an annoying way
"Lessie, you're ambition to get me out of the school, will not work. But if you have that type of ambition, you can help me and it will work" he touched her face solemnly
"Get your hand away. Tom." She swatted his hand away
"Come on. Nobody will ever get me out of this school, stop trying and help me."
"Why should I? I'm not turning to evil and corrupted power" she shoved him off and walked down the hall
"But you'd never know if you like it or not unless you try it" he tried to persuade
"I will not be manipulated by you. Or by power or love!" She retaliated still walking down the hall, he caught up to her
"What about the chamber? You've already helped me millions, look at you, helping me when you didn't even know you were doing it." He says
She stopped. To turn to the boy.
"Specify?" She retorted
"The book, you found it. I have it. The chamber, you found it, you just need to tell me. See? You've already helped me get my power I deserve. I've already controlled you before you even knew." He looked into her glassy eyes
"You're a monster, a monster of mankind. I will not tell you where the chamber is. I forbid it!" She returned
"You must. Please" he blurted out
"Why should I? Look at you Tom, begging for my word. Begging for answers, I have more knowledge than you. You beg for me to tell you like I'm some saint. You haven't controlled me, I've controlled you" she smiled
He dropped to his knees in desperation, nobody was around.
"I'll do whatever you may ask. Please tell me the chamber." He pleaded
"Work for it." She demanded
"I've worked enough? I'm still not good enough?" His eyebrows shot up
A part of that question made her rethink, was he really talking about the chamber. Or about them?
"Ask yourself that" she dismissed the boy as she went away leaving him
He was dumbfounded, no girl has ever dismissed him, nor disregard his actions. He was interested why she was the only one to see through him. She doesn't like his personality. But girls like his looks.
She saw right through his charming pretty faced mask. He saw the twisted mind of Tom Riddle. Which got him thinking, he has to pull off a spontaneous event to win her love.
But then, was he like a dog on a leash? He was being ordered around which only the Professors could do. But a fellow classmate. No.
She had the power, and he wanted to give the love.
But whenever he tries to get close, he finds himself getting further away from her as anybody could be.
"I've got to get her. My prophecy and destiny is at fate" he muttered to himself
He found her in the common room, sitting next to Orion, who was sitting next to Irma.
He needed to steal her away from the grasp of them, but his eyes widened when Octavian came over and pecked her on the cheek.
He was always charming, thought he. But he can't steal Tom's chances away from the chamber
He came up to them, Avella didn't meet his gaze
"Nott. Can I do the pleasure of having a word. Alone" Tom put his intimidating mask on
"I-er, sure." Nott looked uneasy as the two boys went down the hall and to their dorms.
"So what did you want to talk about, Tom?" Nott merrily asked
Tom bursted out with rage and pinned Nott to the wall fast than a crack of lighting
"You tamper with my plans to easily you'll have to pay" Tom replied
"What do you mean?" Nott flickered with fear
"Avella. Stay away from her. I need her and I don't need you to get in the way with that" Tom seethed
"Easy, Tom. Her an I are arranged to be married. You can't stop that." Nott answered
"You will not be as long as I am living. You block all ties with my Avella. My Lessie. Or you'll be the one that ends up in a matchbox." Tom stared at Nott in the eye
"You have no authority over me." Not stuttered
"He's you are. You are apart of the Knights of Walpurgis, I am your leader and you must follow my wishes, or die" Tom threatened
"You can't, it's impossible for you to be with your 'Lessie'. She's mine, you had four years to have her. Now it's my turn, Tom" Nott pushed Tom off
"How dare you. She is with me, she is mine. She is my key to power. She is power, and I need power." Tom mumbled to him
"You're inlove with her?" Nott stared wide eyed at the heartless 4th year
"That would be too far. All I'll say is, stay away or die. Easy as that, Nott. I'll get everyone on you, Malfoy, Rosier and Black." Tom spat
"Please Tom. I love her too."
That made him rage more, he put his wand against Octivian's neck.
"Take your love back. I'm warning you, Octivian. Stay away from Avella Lestrange, my ticket to success" Tom raged
"She's my ticket to validation from my family." Nott sadly said
Tom didn't care. I'm his eyes she was his now.
"You act as if I'm an object! I am not a prize and I'm not a damsel in distress. I am Avella, and I'm not any of yours. I am myself. And I'll pick who I am with. You two disgust me"
The two boys looked to the doorframe to see Avella furiously standing there
"Lessie, look" Tom tried to explain
"No. Tom. You think of me like that, and here I was playing into your trap. And Octavian, I thought you'd be better than that. And you won't get validation, I'm calling everything off." Avella fuming slammed the door
Tom and Nott looked at the slammed door in a perplexing way.
"Look like my work is done. She was never yours" Tom took one look at the distraught Nott and walked out smirking
