"The night for me"

<<When I am alone I dream, I think; but in the end the night, my bitter enemy but also the truest part of me, brings me back to reality by reminding me of problems, broken dreams and disappointments. Sometimes I hate her but it's only thanks to her that I can keep my feet on the ground and remember who I really am. She is the one who in the end shows how much I really illuminate, she highlights all the parts of me both beautiful and ugly and brings them to the surface; but it is the same one that listens to me in my torments and consoles me. Because in the end she and I are similar; we hide in the sunlight and reveal ourselves when everything is dark, when the eyes close, the artificial lights go out while the natural and spiritual ones go on. That's why I can't stand it but I understand it and that's why we are so distant but at the same time closer than we think.>>
