Aiah was excited.
She put her red plushie on her desk and attached an old blue butterfly key chain. The one she got with Mikha.
"There," she smiled wide. "Cute."
Tonight, they were going to have a dinner. Mikha and her with friends. Colet, Sheena, and Gwen will be there and were the only ones available.
The couple reserved a table at a restaurant they frequented. Aiah was already dressed and was just waiting for a few minutes before going out to pick Mikha up.
She typed on her phone to message Mikha that she's on her way. Aiah then grabbed her bag and walked out of her house.
When she arrived on Mikha's street, Aiah saw the girl standing on the side walk just across from her.
She grinned and raised her hand up to wave. "Mikhs!"
Mikha looked up and noticed her. A big smile formed on the younger girl's lips. Also waving back at Aiah.
Aiah looked left and right first before crossing and giving Mikha a hug. "You look beautiful!"
"As always." She continued and stopped to stare at the girl.
The latter blushed a little as she shook her head. "No, you look way more dashing tonight. Anong kinain mo bat ang ganda?"
Aiah laughed out loud, "Ano to? Bolahan lang tayo ngayon? Tara na nga."
Their hands intertwined together, as they waited for their grab and went to the restaurant.
Colet and Sheena were already there at the same time they had arrived. Gwen followed suit when all of them were already seated at their table.
And the night started.
Colet, Aiah, and Mikha sat together on one side, and Sheena and Gwen on the other.
As they were eating, Aiah was busy attending to Mikha. Giving her water, reaching the sauce for her, and putting the food closer to the girl's plate.
"Love." Aiah called and grabbed Mikha's chin with her thumb. She wiped off the messy sauce near the latter's mouth.
Mikha smiled at her in acknowledgement and continued eating.
"Aiahkins."
She turned to Colet, "Hmm?"
"Rice pa?"
"Ah yup konti lang."
Colet put more rice on Aiah's plate. "Masarap ung food noh? Lagi kayo dito ni Mikha?"
Aiah nodded as she glanced at Mikha who was talking with Sheena and Gwen.
"Oo, minsan pag may time mag celebrate ng monthsary? Dito kami."
"Dito ko nga rin dalin jowa ko." She heard Colet mumbled.
"Hoy!?" Aiah whispered shouted. "May jowa ka ba? Buang to di nag sasabi!"
She nudged Colet's side, giving her a teasing look.
"Hindi, ibig ko sabihin ung future jowa ko. Advance ka masyado." Colet said as she was peeling the shrimp's skin then giving it to Aiah.
She immediately ate it with a happy expression while moving her brows up and down, still teasing Colet. "For all I know, baka may someone ka na pala."
"Wala, sarili ko nga di ko maalagaan iba pa kaya." Colet sneered. Her face in disgust.
"Si Aiah nga naaalagaan mo eh." Mikha suddenly joined their conversation.
Both were surprised, and stopped eating. Aiah was still processing what Mikha said, while Colet has that slightly annoyed expression.
Then Sheena coughed out loud. "Ehem ehem! Si ate Colet naman, maalaga yang tao talaga. Pero pag nagkaroon siguro ng jowa hindi niya papansinin sa kilig." The youngest laughed.
Gwen joined and laughed as well, "Oonga, oonga!"
But other than the two, no one followed suit in laughing. Mikha continued eating while Aiah has a spaced out look in her face.
Colet still frowned but continued eating as well.
"Ah okay, sabi ko nga tayo lang natawa." Sheena said to Gwen.
"What's wrong?" Aiah whispered to Mikha.
The girl shrugged, "Nothing."
"Hmmm."
"Do you want water?" Mikha asked.
Aiah looked at her glass which was still full. "Ahh, uhmm meron pa eh."
"Okay."
Then Mikha turned to Gwen, "How's school?" And they started talking again, leaving Aiah confused.
"Okayyy, weird." Aiah said to herself.
"Nanganganib ata buhay ko dito." Colet suddenly mumbled.
"Oa, bakit naman?"
Colet looked at her and frowned. "Tara CR, samahan mo ko."
"Huh?"
But the girl already stood up and grabbed Aiah's elbow.
So, she immediately said to Mikha, "Love wait lang mag cr lang kami."
Inside the comfort room, Colet let's go of her hand and went to the sink to wash her hands.
"Mamamatay talaga ako sa tinginan ni Mikha kanina."
Aiah gave her a questioning gaze. "What are you talking about?"
"Nagseselos jowa mo."
"Huh?" She couldn't believe it. "I don't think so? I could ask her what's wrong naman pag uwi."
"Hindi ka ba nakakapansin? Kanina pa siya nakatingin sakin na parang aagawin kita sakaniya eh."
"Hirap tuloy kumain kanina." Colet shook her head as she dried her hands by the sink.
"Ang impossible naman kasi, bakit naman siya magseselos? Ako unang nag selos, tapos na un. Resolved na."
"Dapat hindi na lang pala ako sumama eh." Colet turned to Aiah.
"Bakit nga siya magseselos, kaibigan naman kita?"
"Parang kelsey lang, kaibigan din un ni Mikhs diba?"
"Oo pero magkaiba kayo ni Kelsey. Si Kelsey may crush kay Mikh-"
"Base sa nakita mo sa twitter?" Colet cut her off.
Aiah put a hand in front of Colet to stop her from talking, "wait! patapusin mo muna ako."
"Si Kelsey may crush kay Mikha. Ikaw wala ka namang crush sakin, may crush ka ba sakin?"
"Wala! Eme neto di tayo talo!" Colet exclaimed, looking offended by what Aiah said.
"Exactly!"
Her friend rolled her eyes. "Eh pano pag nag seselos naman talaga?"
"Then I'll reassure her just like what she did for me. I'll do the same for her."
Colet sighed but nodded nonetheless. "Galing niyo talaga magjowa."
She hit Colet's shoulder and stuck her tongue out. "Bleh."
"Puntahan mo na siya, dali na baka di kita matantsa." The shorter girl said.
"Ay grabe naman po si ate mo Cole- Eto na nga eh! Wag mo na ako samaan ng tingin."
Aiah went out of the comfort room to go back to their table. She saw Sheena there still having a conversation with Gwen but Mikha was no where to be found.
"Girls, si Mikha?" She asked.
"Umalis saglit si Mikhs, may tumawag sakaniya na friend?" Gwen said.
"Ah okay, nasa labas lang?"
"Yup!"
She changed her path and went out of the area, passing the garden to the lobby. Then she could see Mikha's back just outside the front door of the restaurant, looks like she was talking with someone. 'Probably her friend.'
Aiah squinted her eyes just to take a closer look. 'Is that Kelsey?'
Then suddenly, what she saw made her frozen in her place.
'She kissed her.'
