The entire camp was somewhat silent. Most of the lights turned off as usual. Only a faint light everywhere.
" You still believe him ? " Sara asked Samuel
" No, not entirely. But what if it's true ? That means we are in danger. " Samuel replied
" I feel the same." Said Caitlin
" But don't let him know that we know that he is lying. If he does, then he may escape. " Said Sara
" I don't think he is lying. And he can't escape, his spaceship is damaged. It won't fly." Said Samuel
" What if it's another lie ? What if its what he wants us to believe ? " Sara asked
" I don't think so. I was there, I've seen the ship. It's really damaged. And if he wanted to escape, he should have done it already. " Samuel replied.
" So you want us to pretend to be stupid and believe every crap he says ? " Sara asked Samuel
" I'm afraid so." Said Samuel
" I understand your frustration, but we don't have a choice. Our life is in his hands now. You saw him, you saw him killing that thing. He did what we thought was impossible. Think about the camp. Think about each and every one in here. Think about Ray. We must do this. It's the only way. " Said Caitlin
Sara didn't say anything for a moment. She stood there and looked at the faces of the two " I understand. " She then left the room.
" Caitlin is looking for you. " a guy in a red shirt told Wayne
" She is in the room. " he pointed to a door.
" Ok " Wayne walked into that room
He entered the room, Caitlin and Samuel were already there. Few minutes later sara joined them
" So what's the plan, how can we escape from here ? " asked Caitlin
" Help me fix my ship. " Wayne replied
" You sure it's gonna work ? It seems pretty bad. " Samuel looked at Wayne
" Yeah, there are supplies on board for repairing the ship. " Wayne replied
" How long it will take ? " Asked Caitlin
" I don't know. With enough people , five or six days. " Wayne replied
" But what if we encounter more of those things ? " Asked Samuel
" No problem. I can handle a few at a time. I will also scout the area with drones. We can go in if they see any movement. The ship will keep you safe. " Wayne replied
" What is the number of people required to complete the work in five days ? " Asked Caitlin
" The more the merrier. " Said Wayne
" Alright. " said Caitlin
" It's getting late, we need rest. It's been a crazy day. " Said Samuel
" Yeah, you all need rest. We will sort everything tomorrow. " said Caitlin.
All of them went to sleep after leaving the room. Caitlin went to bed. " Good night " she said as she took the photo from her pocket and kissed it.
It was so early in the morning, Wayne was still sleeping. A voice woke him up suddenly, " Hey, it's time, wake up. "
It was Samuel. " Be prepared in 30 minutes. We have a lot to do. "
30 minutes later...
" Everybody listen " Shouted Samuel. Wayne was still eating. 30 minutes were not enough time for him. So Samuel started without him
" We have an announcement to make. Fortunately, we found a safe house. It's far away, but Wayne can get us there. In order to accomplish this, he needs our help. He needs our help to repair that ship. As you know, he crash landed here. By fixing his ship, he can take us to a safer location. To fix the ship, we need volunteers. We need people who can help. There is no pressure on anyone to do anything. However, if you would like to help, please come to the west entrance at 8:00 am. "
As a result, people began to talk to each other. The silence wore off. Everyone was engaged in conversation with someone else.
7.50 A.M
It's time to leave, Samuel went to the door. Sara was already there. It turned out that more people came to help him than he expected.
" What is he doing here ? " Wayne asked Samuel while he walking towards them.
He was pointing to an old man.
" How old are you ? " Wayne asked him
" I'm 72 " the old man replied
" You should go back. when I said help I meant 'Help' help. If I ever look for some wisdom or pep talk from a old wise guy, I will consider you. But not today " said Wayne
" I can help you. I'm old but I used to work for AISR " he replied
"What ??" Wayne looked at him
" Association Of International Space Research ! I'm an engineer. I can help you with your shuttle. " He replied
" Never heard of it. And again NO !! The technology of my ship is far beyond anything you ever seen. And what if one we encounter one of those things ? You can't even run !! " Wayne looked at him
" Well we will find a way." said Sara. " If he wants to come, let him. I will take responsibility. "
" Yeah !! Have you forgotten what happened the last time ? You almost killed a kid. " said Wayne
" If you say one more word I will pull out your fucking tongue. " she pointed her gun at him
Wayne laughed sarcastically, Samuel pulled Sara away.
" Don't do anything stupid or anything you regret. " Samuel told Sara
" But I...." Sara was about to say something
" I said stop. That's an order." Said Samuel
She put the gun down and took a deep breath
" I think he is right, Christopher is too old. Do you think it's a good idea to bring him ?He is gonna slow us down. " He looked at Sara
" I know he's old, but that doesn't mean he's weak, he have experience. I think he should come with us. " Said Sara
Samuel stood there for a minute then went to Wayne " He is coming with us "
" Yeah... Ok..... But if something happens to him that on you. " Wayne pointed his finger towards Sara
She didn't reply, she ignored him and started to walk.
Caitlin walked towards Samuel
" Make sure everyone gets back." She told him
Samuel closed his eyes and shook his head.
Few hours later they reached the crash site.
" Give me a minute. " he told Samuel and opened the door of the ship.
" I'm coming with you. " said Sara
" Yeah whatever.. " Wayne replied without turning back and he went in.
When sara was at the door ,he came back with couple of boxes
" Here... " he gave one box to Samuel.
Sameul opened it and found a device.
" The cameras in the drones are linked to this. Check this for movements. There are two types of drones I call them biggies and tinies. "
" Biggies have a lot of fire power. Every biggie has a tiny inside, they can enter places where Biggies cannot. In order to activate them, you must say 'Activate tiny'. You can use them to search inside buildings or tunnels.. " said Wayne
" Also take a pair." he put the other box down there. " We will communicate through this. " he showed the earpieces to them.
" I will assign jobs for everyone, so make sure you do what I say. Don't do anything else, don't touch anything else." Said Wayne
" I want you to activate it and turn it on. Turn it on and say ' hi NOVA I'm ' then tell your name. Then use it to call anyone else by saying their name.For example, if you have any doubts about the jobs just say ' call captain '. And it will connect you to me. I hope everyone understood "
Eight people were handpicked by Wayne and shown how to install solar panels on the roof.
There were a few other people exploring the ship with Sara. They were amazed by the gigantic ship. It felt like there are in a different world
" If you done site seeing, follow me. I will show you what to do. " Said Wayne
He showed them what to do in different parts of the ship. Each person had their own tasks to complete.
" What about me ? " Asked Sara
" What about you ? " Wayne looked at her
" What should I do ? " She asked
" Why are you asking me ? I didn't ask you to come . Do whatever you want.... Outside. " He replied
She didn't say a word, she went out quickly.
As time passed, the ship's work progressed. The captain was walking around the ship giving directions to everyone. The trio of Sara, Ashton, and Samuel were outside.
" Hey Mr. Wayne, can you hear me..." Suddenly someone called Wayne via the earpiece
" Yeah, who is this ? " Wayne asked
" Hi my name is Jay, I'm inside the ship. You told me to work on the section 4 of the ship. I think there is a problem. " Wayne heard the guy
" Wait there. I'm coming... " Wayne walked towards the section
" What's the problem ? " He asked Jay when he reached there.
" I don't know really, but take a look " said Jay and pointed to something
Wayne looked at there " FUCK...... Get out now." He told Jay and everyone else in there.
The engine was being repaired by Jay and a few others. That's when they saw some sort of liquid leaking from inside. In fact, it was the engine's core. It's completely damaged.
" NOVA why didn't you pick it up ? " Wayne asked while walking towards the door.
" My apologies, captain, the engine was completely damaged and I could not run a clear diagnosis. Flaxer Liquid was sealed in a vacuum chamber. The leakage could not be detected until the reactor is on. " Said NOVA
When he was out, everyone was waiting for him
" What happened ? " Asked Samuel
" Come with me. " said Wayne.
Samuel, Ashton and Sara went with Wayne until no one else can hear them.
" A big problem !! " said Wayne " The ship engine have a core, the heart of the ship, and it's completely damaged."
" We can't fix it ? " Ashton asked Wayne
" No, not really. We don't have the resources. See.. The ship's core was made of something called Y-limeoum and it was encased in a liquid called Flaxer. Y-limeoum is an extremely powerful, it will produce a lot of heat and energy, 100 times that of a nuclear power plant. The only thing that can prevent it from overheating is flaxer liquid. We can't fly without it." Wayne replied
" What will happen if we turn on the engine ? " asked Samuel
" The Y-limeoum will produce a lot of energy without flaxer, so if we try to fly it will overheat and become unstable and it will explode, the entire city will turn into dust. " Wayne replied
" Is there any problem ? " They all turned back. It was Christopher.
" It's nothing. " said Samuel

Wayne explained everything about the core " It's from outer earth. There was a leak. Now we won't be able to fly. " said Wayne
" Can you replace it with plutonium ?" Asked Christopher
" Well.... that's not a bad idea. " Said Wayne
" Does it work ? Can we replace it with Plutonium ?" he looked at Sara
" Why are you asking me ? " Asked Sara
" I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to NOVA, the AI, remember ?" He tapped on the earpiece with his finger
" Success rate is about 63%. " NOVA replied
" What does it say ?" asked Samuel.
" It's possible. " Wayne replied
" So we can make it work ? " Ashton looked at Wayne
" No, not really. It won't be easy. Plutonium is also hard to come by. " said Wayne
" Yeah, Plutonium is not accessible to everyone. The majority of it is held by government agencies. Finding it under these circumstances is very hard. " Said Christopher
" There maybe a way. " Said Samuel
Ashton, Sara and Samuel looked at each other
" That means we have to deal with...... "
" Yeah. " Ashton got interrupted by Samuel
