Ugh, that bed wasn't comfy, I had to wear my clothes I used today for bed, their going to get dirty now....
Sitting up I rub my eyes as my pink hair falls down onto my shoulders before letting out a nice big yawn to start the day, though I'm glad I can take my Shield off to sleep
I don't think I could even sleep a tiny bit if I couldn't though my room looks a mess, was it like that earlier?
Slowly getting up I tie my hair back up into its normal style before looking around, everything was a mess, was someone trying to rob me? If so I'm glad I put the money in my Bank Shield last night
*Knock Knock*
Who's there?
Answering the door I see some knights who looked kinda serious
Knight- come with us Shield Hero, the King has summoned you
Madoka- ok just give me a moment to put my shoes on
Turning back around I walk to my bed and put on my shoes which looked dirty from yesterday but there wasn't anything I could do about that
But as I followed the knights to the castle I was given a lot of dirty looks, was something wrong?
Maybe I can ask when I get to the castle
Later
As we reached the castle and the throne room doors opened I was suddenly shoved to the ground harshly by those knights before they pointed their tridents at me
What's going on?
Wait why is everyone here and why are they looking at me with those bad looks, did I do something wrong by accident
Oh Myne's here maybe she knows
Madoka- Myne, you ok
Myne suddenly hid behind Motoyasu as if she was scared of me, but I did nothing to her? Wait is my lucky plush attached to Motoyasu's waist? It was with me last night, how didn't I notice that it was gone?
Madoka- please can someone explain what's going on?
King Aultcray- silent scumbag!
Huh, why did he call me that, it's really mean
King Aultcray- Myne you poor adventurer could you please testify once more for us
Myne- th-the Shield Hero barged into my room drunk and pinned me down he said "the night is still young" and tore my clothes off
What? I never did that and I'm not allowed to drink, I'm too young
Myne- I barely escaped and ran into Sir Motoyasu who happened to be staying in the same Inn for help
Motoyasu- if she hadn't asked me to wait for the knights I would of asked you about it myself, but I admit something, I know Myne is lying
Almost everyone- what?!
Myne- S-sit Motoyasu how could you say that?!
Motoyasu- because Madoka is a Girl, you've been calling her sir and you thought she was a boy even though she has a girl's name and a girls voice, what you said happened just isn't possible
Madoka- Motoyasu, thanks
King Aultcray- is there sufficient evidence for proving that the Shield Hero is indeed a woman?
Itsuki- well to us it's obvious, now Myne why would you lie about this?
Ren- he has a point, why lie about rape?
Myne- I-I uh....
King Aultcray- Myne, is this true did you lie about this?
She's panicking now, but why would she lie about this? Does she hate me for some reason and off so why join me?
King Aultcray- no, I won't hear it, knights please take Myne out of the room, I'll speak with her later
The Knights roughly took her out of the room before the tension started to get lighter, I'm glad but I feel betrayed by her, why would someone do this?
Motoyasu- well what now? Oh Madoka is this yours
He walked over to me before holding out my lucky plush which I took back with a smile while thanking him, I made sure it was clipped to my waist Where it belongs
King Aultcray- Miss Shield Hero, I am deeply sorry about this, but since your in need to new companions I recommend you visit the Guild to try and recruit however with possible rumours about you supposed assault spreading it will be tough, I will send out new information about your innocence
Madoka- thank you, your majesty is it alright if I go now? I feel a bit sick after all of this
King Aultcray- of course, here as an apology I will give you 100 Silver to assist in recruiting
As random serverent suddenly walked towards me with a bag full of silver which I took before standing back up before bowing in respect before leaving while everyone else began to leave the room
Motoyasu- hey, wait for me I want to help!
Madoka- oh Motoyasu thanks for helping back there
Motoyasu- no problem, I still can't believe that Myne would do something like that, good thing we now Japanese names better than them right?
Madoka- yeah, do you know where the guild is?
Motoyasu- yup! Plus we need to get you registered there and at the Dragon Hourglass if you didn't do that yesterday
Madoka- what's that?
Motoyasu- oh she didn't tell you, it's what tells us when the wave comes, let's go!
He gently grabbed my hand before we ran towards a strange building which reminded me of some of the more fancy buildings in Mitakihara, it makes me miss home more
When we went in I realised it was a church as there was a lot of nuns and such around but a random nun stopped us before asking
Nun- Sir Spear Hero what are you doing with that rapist?
Motoyasu- she's innocent, Madoka's name was cleared earlier and were here to register her with the Hourglass is that ok?
Nun- oh not at all, follow me
The nun who I didn't really like lead us to a different room where I got a lot of stares before I saw it, it was a giant hourglass with a golden design with red gems, it was beautiful
But how do I register with it?
With no warning a sudden beam shot from the Hourglass towards the gem of my Shield before a sudden timer was shown on my HUD, there was just over a month left
Motoyasu- there we are now let's go to the guild!
Later at the Guild
As we reached the Guild building and it looked like one from some games I've played with Sayaka and Hitomi, the inside was just as I imagined
Tables full of adventurers doing all sorts with a board full of missions and reception area with someone waiting to help anyone who asks
Motoyasu- right if I remember we talk to the receptionist like I did yesterday, it should take too long but after that getting money will be easier, plus I'm sure you'll make new friends here
Madoka- I hope so
Waking to the receptionist we ask to register me which she was happy to and it dodnt take long, just a few questions and it was all god, I got a card which lets me take the Requests if I want to but as Motoyasu said he needed to use the toilet quickly I asked the receptionist if she knew anywhere or anyone that could help me get companions
Receptionist- sadly with the false rumours about you going around miss the best I can recommend isn't something most Hero's would accept
Madoka- it's ok, if I can get help then I'll try it
Receptionist- are you sure? Ok then, I'm not sure of his name but he's a Slave Merchant who sells to anyone, if worst comes to worst try to buy one off him, I'm sorry but that's all I can say
Madoka- no no I asked but if I do then I'll make sure to treat them right, I don't care if I'm not supposed to
Receptionist- then I hope you do well in the future, here's the location and good luck Lady Shield Hero
Thanking her I turn to find Motoyasu who's staring at the Request Board struggling to read it so I walk over and take a look to see it's a different language, I guess i have to learn to read it, I'm sure it will be fun
Motoyasu- can you read this?
Madoka- no, we need to learn it I guess but the receptionist told me a place where I can get some companions
Motoyasu- oh where?
Madoka- a Slave Merchant, something I don't want to do but I might have to
Motoyasu- wait they have those here?!
Madoka- it seems so, but I'm going to treat them well, I promise
Motoyasu- I'll trust you, but if you don't treat them well then I'm going to stop you got that?
Madoka- of course, and if I did I'd hope you would, hurting innocent things isn't something I want to do
We decided to check this Slave Merchant out to see how bad it is so following the map we have we soon arrived at a circus tent?
Slave Merchant- oh customers this early? The Shield and Spear Heroes how interesting please come in! I have plenty of stock that might interest you
I looked at Motoyasu before we carefully walked in seeing all of the cages with all sorts of living things inside from monsters to people, even children, how could someone do that?
Slave Merchant- they cannot lie or betray their master so I'm sure you'll want one Shield Hero
As we walked passed some more cages we reached a large one where a large wolf like beast with deep red eyes was inside
Slave Merchant- here, this one is perfect for combat, at Level 75 it will serve you well for only 15 Gold coins
That's way out of my price range
I only have around 500 Silver left after yesterday plus what I was given today
*cough*

Flipping a sheet I see a small girl, smaller than me who had long messy brown hair with Raccoon heads and a tail
I want to help her
Madoka- how much is she?
Slave Merchant- she's almost dead, and sick I don't recommend her but if you want her 50 Silver
Motoyasu- are you going to help her?
Madoka- yeah, I'll take her
Slave Merchant- well just so you know she's diseased and has a mental disorder, her previous owner loves torture
She looked scared at first but as we took her to the Slave Merchant's office to finish the deal she sat away from me in fear but after what the merchant said about her previous owner it makes sense
But he did need some of my blood to make the seal work for me which was a bit painful
As he applied the seal I saw the girl in pain as the sound of burning skin was heard, both me and Motoyasu grew worried for her but before Motoyasu could step in the merchant explained that this was normal for claiming a slave and it would pass after a little while
He was right after a few seconds the girl wasn't in anymore pain and I had a notification that Slave A has joined the Party, I need to see if she has a name and I might need to give her one
Slave Merchant- now that the girl is all your, I require the payment
Madoka- oh here you go
Taking out my Bank Shield I withdrew 50 silver and places it all on the table as he counted it he smiled and asked for another Silver as a commission fee, not wanting to stay here I give it to him and the 3 of us leave
Madoka- what's your name? If you don't have one I can give you one if you want
Raccoon girl- R-raphtalia
Her voice was rough and quiet, she really is in bad shape, plus she has that cough I need to get her medicine
Motoyasu- I can get some medicine if you want, I'll let you deal with the clothes and stuff since you know more about it
Madoka- ok, look for Erhard's blacksmith shop, we'll meet there in an hour ok?
Motoyasu- you got it!
Going our separate ways I ask around for a shop that sells girls clothes for cheap and we soon found one but as we entered the owner seemed, eccentric
I didn't get to say much before both of us were trying on new clothes
Later
We spent 300 Silver on clothes....
But worth it, I got comfy pyjamas and new clothes which suited the world better plus the owner said all of her clothes can be modified with amour
And now Raphtalia is wearing a simple yet cute dress which was red in the middle with dark grey sides along with long grey sleeves, now all that's left is to give her a bath and medicine then she should be close to recovery
Besides she needs a weapon if she will help me fight the Waves, I just hope she can handle it
When we reached Erhard's we saw Motoyasu waiting with a few bottles of what I'm guessing is Medicine
Erhard- kid your here don't worry this guy explained everything so that the girl this guy was talking about?
Madoka- yeah, can you get a weapon she can use for us? We have about 150 Silver
Erhard- sure thing
It didn't take long but he brought out a decent dagger that was 20 silver,
Motoyasu- oh damn, sorry Madoka but I have to go, my Party is meeting back up in a bit, sorry but remember need any help and I'll be there!
As motoyasu ran out of the store I asked Erhard if he could make some armour for us with 100 Silver and thankfully he had some things which would do for now, mostly leather but better than nothing
We soon left after we made sure we had our things ready but I decided to take us to a nearby Inn where they served food, it was a cheaper one but it said it didn't serve Demi-Humans
I ignored that sign and brought Raphtalia in at first the owner was about to kick her out but stopped after seeing my Shield, guess the rumours haven't been cleared up yet
Madoka- 2 kids meals, same as the one that kid is having
Owner- 6 Copper
Passing him a single silver he looked a bit annoyed but didn't say anything before he left and after a while he came back with our food as well as 94 Copper Coins
We are in silence but Raphtalia had no manners at all and she just ate with her hands not caring about a thing in the world and before she knew it she finished her food and had a mess on her face
I couldn't help but giggle a little bit before using a napkin the table provided to wipe the mess away
Next was to start levelling more but we can take it slow after all Raphtalia still needs her medicine
