No one P.O.V - The Past
In the center of the ritual circle, a child was surrounded by maroon color flames and laughing evilly. Three warriors tried their hardest on not losing focus. The great monk Tripitaka kept his feet to ground and making sure not to lose focus
"For the Samadhi Fire to split in three, you must harmonize your energies!" Great Monk Tripitaka said
"I shall help you all as well. I shall share my energy" Konohana said as she pulled out three cherry blossom flowers. She was about blow them, when baby Red Son's power grew stronger once again. Once the power settled down, Great Monk Tripitaka let out a breath and his eyes glowed golden, surrounding the area with a golden color and Konohana blew her flowers towards Sun Wukong, Nezha and Demon Bull King and the flowers landed on their backs, and they can feel the energy flowing into them
Sun Wukong looked at his hands in front of him and saw a golden ring was being formed, along with Nezha and Demon Bull King
"You know, this is kind of easier than I thought it would be" Sun Wukong said, but a sudden urge of energy appeared around the child, meaning they must not lose focus, not even for a minute
"Wukong, you must stay focused! We're almost done with the ritual! So, everyone, please bear with it a little longer!" Konohana said as she focused giving her energy to them using the cherry blossom flowers
Then, suddenly, Sun Wukong lost his footing and fell on the ground, making everyone gasp. Baby Red Son laughed evilly again as pieces of the fire came out and headed towards the rings, but there was one lingering flame heading towards the great Monk, the Dragon of West covered the great Monk bracing himself. When Konohana went in front of the dragon and took the hit of the fire
Finally, the Samadhi Fire was no longer in the child. Baby Red Son is sleeping soundly in the goddess' arms, she looked up and saw Demon Bull King approaching her
"Here you go, Demon Bull King" Konohana carefully handed DBK his son without waking up the sleeping child
"Thank you for saving him. But are you alright?" DBK asked
"I'll be alright, don't worry" Konohana reassured him and DBK left the ritual site
After DBK left, she heard Sun Wukong groan in pain, she turned to see what's happening, and she saw Sun Wukong holding his head like he was hit with something
"Great job, Wukong. Way to almost get us all killed!" Nezha yelled at Wukong
"Chill out Nezha, and all worked out in the end. Fire split, no harm done" Wukong said
"Please, don't hurt each other" Konohana said as she walked towards them
"Milady! Are you alright!?" Nezha asked while checking for any injuries
"I'm fine, Nezha. I just need some rest and I'll be fine" Konohana said, but she knew she wasn't
Present time
The fake mayor is holding Sakura by her throat, struggling to free herself, MK stayed where he is, while Kyubi, Pigsy and Sandy were almost covered in ice. Tang looked at his with a look of fear
"Go on and finish the ritual scholar!" The fake mayor demanded
Tang started to cry, and he saw a golden cicada on the map. He was surprised to see a cicada out in the cold, the golden cicada flown up into the air and disappeared
"All right. You win" Tang said as he took a deep breath, once he let out a breath, his eyes glowed a golden color, and the area surrounding them changed into golden color
With Monkey King, Macaque and Nezha
"No! They were supposed to wait!" Monkey King said as he tried to free himself from the ice
"What's happening over there Wukong?" Macaque asked
"The fake mayor has Sakura by her throat, we need to get over there now!" Monkey King said and Nezha looked at Monkey King
"Are you absolutely sure the Samadhi Fire is the only way to stop the Lady Bone Demon?" Nezha asked
"Only if we move right now" Monkey King answered, Nezha grit his teeth
"You better be right" Nezha said and his spear started to glow a pink color and the spear became lotus petals, but sharper "Let's hope my aim is as good as it used to be" Making both Monkey King and Macaque confused. The lotus petals hit the ice surrounding them and finally they were free from the ice. Without a moment to spare, they all left quickly to the ritual site
Sakura P.O.V
While the fake mayor has me in his grasp, the rings started to reveal the maroon flames, I looked at one of the rings, and suddenly I remembered the visions
"Please, stop!" I pleaded, and a golden light popped out of my chest, making the fake mayor laugh
"Excellent!" The fake mayor said
"Stop!" I heard Monkey King say as he and Macaque came rushing towards us, but it was too late. Next thing that happened was me being covered in the same maroon flames and I screamed in pain, the powerful flames burned the fake mayor alive, leaving nothing behind. I even felt my hair getting long too
"We're too late" Monkey King said as he and Macaque got up from the ground
"Huh? What?" MK was in a bit of daze for moment, and he looked at me "Sakura! What's happening?! Don't worry! I'll find something to cool you down!" MK grabbed an arm full of snow and threw towards me, but the snow quickly evaporated. So, MK decided to rush towards me, but he was immediately tackled away from me by Monkey King
"Mere water cannot extinguish the Samadhi Fire" I looked up and saw Nezha "Nothing can. The fire will destroy... Sakura and burn everything in its path" Nezha said as he freed my uncles and Kyubi from the ice
"What!?" Mei looked at Nezha with disbelief
"Yeah! What!?" MK said
"My lady..." Kyubi looked at me with a sad look, and Macaque clenched his hand into a fist and looked at Monkey King
"Wukong! There better a good explanation to why blossom is like this!" Macaque said as he was about to punch Monkey King
"Stop! It was me" Everyone looked at Uncle Tang "I mean yeah the fake mayor forced me to do it and I'm starting to have second thoughts on the whole thing now" Uncle Tang said
"Uncle Tang... It was not your fault" I said trying to reassure my uncle
"B-But I don't know how or why, I just felt like I had to. Like it was destiny" The word destiny echoed throughout the mountain, making Macaque put his fist down
"I hate to interrupt but can someone explain what is going on! What's happening to Sakura!?" MK asked
"I believe it's time for you to start explaining Sun Wukong" Kyubi said while glaring at Monkey King
"Okay. This is gonna sound really bad, but hear me out" Monkey King said and Nezha glared at him
"Wukong... What have you done?" Nezha asked and Monkey King started to explain
"I made a mistake. During the ritual, a piece of the Samadhi Fire got away from me. I don't know what happened, but I guess part of it was sealed in the closest vessel that could contain it. One of my most loyal companions, Konohana" That made everyone gasp
"Sakura's ancestor!" Uncle Sandy exclaimed
"Making Sakura the fourth ring" MK said looking shocked
"You knew" Mei's hand formed a fist "All along, you knew she had that thing inside of her!" Mei yelled at Monkey King
"Mei, hang on a second" While MK was trying to calm Mei down, Monkey King was grabbed by the shirt facing Macaque
"And you hid the fact from all of us! Why? What were you afraid of?! That you were going to have to tear her apart to get your precious Samadhi Fire!?" Macaque yelled
"Stop fighting!" I yelled and a burst of energy came out of me, and the fire formed a giant fox. Nezha was about to protect my uncles, but Uncle Sandy protect them instead and Monkey King protected MK, Mei, Macaque and Kyubi
"This wasn't supposed to happen. I thought if I could somehow get the Samadhi Fire out you without hurting you, of course. Then I could put it inside myself, and I don't know use it to burn up the Lady Bone Demon or something. I was kind of making this up as I went"
"That was your plan!?" Nezha yelled at Monkey King
"That's not a good plan" MK said
"Yeah... To be honest, this is the first time I've said it out loud, so..." Monkey King trailed off
"We trusted you!" Mei yelled from behind "All of us! How could you lead us into a fight without a real plan!?"
"I agree with dragon girl" Macaque said and he moved passed Monkey King and heading towards me
"Macaque! What are you doing?! Go back! I don't want to hurt you or anyone!" I shouted and I felt the power growing again
"No! I'm not gonna leave you!" Macaque continued heading towards me
"Same for me my lady!" Kyubi also followed Macaque
"Why? Just leave me! I'm too unstable to control this power!" I shouted "Please! Leave me!" I begged
"No way, I promised to look after you and I don't plan on breaking it!" Macaque said as the fire started burn his clothes and burning Kyubi's fur
"My lady, you don't need to push us away. Please, let us help you. We'll figure out a way to help control this power" Kyubi said
"Yeah, blossom. Let us help you like how you helped us! You saved me from continuing my vengeance from Wukong and taught me how to just let things go. You let me stay with you, recommended me to go to your uncle's therapy sessions, and you even gave me a chance. I enjoyed hanging out with you and your friends and learning different things I never thought I'll get to do!" Both Macaque and Kyubi were close enough to hold her, making the fire surrounding her to disappear, along with the giant fire fox, and the three rings falling on the ground. Everyone were shocked to see how I managed to control the fire somehow, parts of my clothing was burnt away, but my shirt and skirt were still intact
"She managed to control it..." Nezha looked surprised
I started to cry as I hold returned both Macaque's and Kyubi's embrace, but I pushed them away
"Macaque... Kyubi... Everyone... I know you all want to help me, but... I can't risk hurting all of you" I said as I started to float up "I'm sorry" When I said that, I left the ritual site
"Sakura!" I heard everyone calling out to me, but I ignored them. Then I felt the bracelet that matches Macaque's crown broke apart
'Guess his debt to me is completed... I'm glad' I thought as I landed in a jungle, resulting me creating a crater where a lake used to be, and I started crying again
"Cherry Blossom" I turned around and saw Red Son
"Red Son... What are you doing here?" I asked
"It's obvious, I followed you and everyone. Seeing you now have the power of the Samadhi Fire, looks like your due to some fire training" Red Son said with a grin and I chuckled
"Not alone" We both looked up and saw Kyubi
"Kyubi!" I was surprised
"Of course, I'll follow you, my lady. No matter where you go, I'll always be by your side" Kyubi said and Red Son put his red trench coat on my shoulders
"For now, let's get you something to wear, and fixing your long hair" Red Son said and we started walking "Also, by the way, cherry blossom, you did a magnificent job during the talent show"
"You were there?!" I exclaimed
"Of course, and I must say you looked beautiful in red" Red Son said and I felt my face turn red in embarrassment
