i recently watched the movie "Smile" in the theaters and im scared as shit about everything
i cried twice :,)
anyway heres your headcanons

HEADSPACE
OMORI:
- He doesn't talk much to you, but he considers you a close friend
- I mean, it's OMORI we're talking about, of course he isn't going to talk
- probably is as close to you as he is with mari
- considers you a second sibling
- after defeating a boss such as sweetheart, space (ex) boyfriend, or the king crawler (that took me like a week to defeat) you two sometimes high five
- he definitely talks to you more than most people though
-there is a photo in basil's album of you and him with matching flower crowns :D
- he doesn't mind if you give him headpats
- I'll even go as far as to say he likes that
- but you didn't hear that from me
MARI:
- AWH
- she will invite you to sit with her at the picnic if something in an adventure seems too dangerous for you
- like OMORI, she thinks of you as a second sibling
- will do anything to protect youuu
- sometimes HERO get's jealous because of how much attention you get from her
- there is a photo in basil's photo album of you sleeping on her shoulder, she thinks it's adorable
- she claims she doesn't have a favorite out of the group, but besides her brother you are secretly her favorite ;)
BASIL:
- AAAA
- will randomly give you flowers that he found and tells you all about them
- his flower for you (what flower he thinks matches you most) is a violet or a lavender because the represent peace and love
- he lets you put flowers in his hair and you let him put flowers in yours
- takes photos of you and him together and puts it in a special photo album named "Remembrance." because he doesn't wanna forget how great of a friend you are awwwwww
- sometimes if he forgets (which is super rare), you will water his flowers for him
- admires you because you always manage to keep AUBREY and KEL from fighting, even a little bit better than HERO
- when he went missing, you were devastated
- or not, i don't know, I'm not you
- but I'm assuming you'd be sad
- on the search for him, you'd randomly start to cry a little, to which AUBREY, KEL and HERO attempted to comfort you, AUBREY hugging you, KEL giving you HECTOR for a while, and HERO giving logical explanations to why he went missing
- it did not help :(
AUBREY:

- she gives you bows for no reason
- hugs. lots. of. hugs.
- you two have a special attack, she would hit the enemy repeatedly with her weapon (whether it be her plush, her bat or whatever) and you would nag it/mock it to make it angry/sad
- constantly brags about you being her best friend
"oh, y/n my best friend in the whole world, don't listen to KEL! He knows nothing."
- if you get turned to toast, she will cry and beg MARI to give you something, anything to help, no doubt
- when MARI has picnics, she will ask you to twirl with her, she doesn't mind if you decline but you two have a nice time getting dizzy and twirling until you can't walk straight anymore, she thinks its good for your brain
- innocent bean
KEL:
- oh dear
- will give you HECTOR for you to "take care" of because he trusts you with HECTOR
- you two play catch with his basketball a lot
- HERO is confused of why KEL got such a cool best friend (i need to stop bullying hero)
- when BERLY ̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶s̶ asks everyone to play hide and seek, he'll hide with you because he's ✨clingy✨
- you have to explain most things to him cause he's not the smartest
- rambles to you about nothing and everything
- honestly cannot function without you because you are just that important to him :)
HERO:
- ok first off he will bake you anything you want, change my mind
- the king of comfort
- if you have a fear of spiders too, he'll be scared shitless with you
- the unstoppable duo
- in the neighbor's room, he'll purposely let you win at cards (then KEL bullies him for "losing")
- if you are a little bit on the chaotic side, he will attempt to calm you down a lot, most times it works but if it doesn't he'll just let it go and let you be the chaotic lil person you are
- if he thinks a boss is to strong and you're on low health, he'll stand in front of you to protect you awww
- when he turned into bossman HERO, you and aubrey snapped him out of it by crying
- he apologized to you sincerely and you forgave him and you two hugged
- awh :)

REAL WORLD
SUNNY:
- when he became a hikikomori/shut in, you were not happy
- actually, not happy is an understatement
- basically you figured out that MARI's death was NOT a suicide because of your super cool detective skillz (with a z)
- and you were pretty angry with SUNNY
- well, you were still best friends and you didn't hate him
- I mean, there's an explanation for everything, right?
- so you visited his house every 2 weeks to (attempt to) talk to him
- you would help him buy his groceries and make food for him so his mother doesn't have to (which she is very grateful for)
- once he told you the truth, you gave him a hug and told him that you understand
- def lets you give him hugs
- KEL is a little upset because you get more high fives than him (but you make it up to him by high fiving him to which he is happy about)
- overall a great best friend :D
BASIL:
- a shy bby
- he is a little more talkative around you
- bonus points if you water his flowers for him when he forgets
- he opened up to you about what happened on the day of the recital and he cried a whole lot while doing so, saying things like "please don't hate me" and "i know I'm terrible" in between sobs
- the poor thing was shaking so you put a hand on his shoulder and told him that everything was going to be okay
- you helped him a lot with anxiety and spent a lot of time with him
- you protected him from AUBREY
- and you always come over for dinner and help POLLY make dinner
- BASIL thinks that he's not deserving of someone like you, but you deny that
- you have sleepovers a lot and you help him with how he sees SOMETHING and you tell him that it isn't real
- he eventually lets go of the guilt :D
AUBREY
- ever since MARI died, you two have been angry lil bitches
- you were the only one who stayed with her after the friend group broke apart
- you became a part of the HOOLIGANS with AUBREY and you tried to stop them from bullying BASIL
- but eventually you gave in to peer pressure and bullied BASIL with them (meanie)
- when AUBREY pushed BASIL into the late, you came to your senses and kinda yelled at AUBREY
- she realized that you were right and fell to her knees right then and there
- you patted her head and told her that BASIL is okay and that HERO saved him
- you sat on the ground in front of her and gave her a hug, to which she accepted and hugged back
- you two eventually gave up your mean ways and you apologized to BASIL a lot for bullying him
- he gave you a pink flower, but this isn't about him so i wont get into that
KEL:
- you were a lot like KEL when MARI died
- you accepted it and moved on
- sure you were sad, but that wasn't gonna stop you from doing the things you love
- so you and KEL joined the basketball team and made a lot of friends
- unfortunately, you and KEL were put on the opposite team so you had to face each other, but it all turned out fine in the end :)
- well a little
- you were there when HERO yelled at KEL, and he yelled at you too
- you cried while KEL comforted you, because HERO had never yelled at you or anyone for that matter like that before
- it took a while for you to forgive him
- the things he said were super harsh and he had no right to say the things he did
- but eventually you did because he was dealing with a lot of grief
- anyway moving on
- you like to braid KEL's hair with SALLY
- its cute lol
HERO:
- like the last one, you accepted her death and moved on
- only HERO didn't
- so you would visit him with KEL, but it was no use because he was unresponsive
- so you sat on the edge of his bed one day and patted his hair
- "you know, your hair is really matted, would you like for me to brush it?"
- that was when he looked at you
- his tired eyes and his frowning face make your heart sink, but it wasn't long before a small smile appeared on his face
- "I... would like that.. thanks.." he muttered out, his voice quiet
- so KEL got you his brush and you brushed HERO's hair
- the poor thing didn't have enough energy to sit up so he laid in your lap
-once it was done, he cried because it reminded him of how simple life used to be
- that was when he snapped out of it
- he decided to pull himself together and go to college, and his parents are very grateful for your patience with him
- KEL was so happy that he was back to his normal self :)
- when he was back from college, he was always near you when the friend group hung out because you were the one who helped him when he needed it most
- ok why is this actually sad what
