I'm in my room lying on the bed with my legs in the air I feel so free
Mom shouts my name from downstairs I wonder what's up now ?
I wear my Yeezy flops and head downstairs these stairs are starting to get annoyed
It's still the June holidays
Mom:"nomzamo"
Me:"I'm here ma "
Mom:"ohhh great take a seat "
Okay I'm officially nervous whatever they are going to tell me I know I'm not going to like it
Me:"what's this about ?"
Dad:"hlala phansi "
I hesitantly obey and sit down on the couch opposite them I know better than to sit next to me I might find myself hating them I say a silent prayer that they are going to tell me good news
Mom:"well as you know it's July "
Me:"yesss?"
Dad:"November is really close now "
Me:"mmmh "
Mom:"the dlamini family is coming today for dinner the plans need to start taking place "
Me:"ma I don't get you all of the sudden you are besties with mam dlamini"
Dad:"that's because they are not that bad they are not cruel people they are rich yes but also not boujee"
Me:"so what's the dinner about?"
Mom:"your marriage duhh ?"
Me:"okay is that all ?"
Dad:"yep you need to be on your best behaviour "
Me:"dad I know that but thanks anyways "
I stand up and go to my room I think it's about time I told my best friend
Nkosenye's POV
I look at my parents I dont know why I was summoned here
But I already know it's not good news
Me:"wassup "
Dad:"tonight we having a dinner with nomzamo's family"
Me:"wow you truly are in a rush if y'all going exclude me I'm not going there "
Mom:"you are it's important that you accept and participate in this "
Dad:"yes your mom is right you are involved in this as much as us even more "
Me:"so what we just going to pretend that this marriage isn't arranged "
Mom:"but difference is not by us we are supporting you and you are going to that dinner "
Me:"uggggghh "
I stand up and retreat to my room my parents are also doing this for their own good ma has been maka nomzamo's bestie

Me:"I'm coming to pick you up "

I wear my Adidas push In's and my Adidas tracksuit it's black
I take my Mercedes car keys and leave I know by the time I come back mom and dad will be long gone
Lisa is just a recent sneaky link we have been vibing shes wild ,fun and cool
I park the car outside her gate and scroll on my phone on pretty sure she is bound to see the car parked her well she lives in pinetown
She comes out of the house wearing a black bum short ,black boots you know the leather ones girls wear and a bomber jacket covering a small cropped tee
She gets into the car ,in the passenger seat
Lisa:"hey"
Me:"hey "
I drive off to my house the drive was rather silent but not awkward I understand tha she's got other people she's seeing and honestly I don't car as long as we have fun
I park the Mercedes in the garage and she starts admiring my house it's the first time she's here
The cars ,view and of course the setting my house is really huge and expensive
I unlock the front door and gosh she's gushing I give no time I just smash my lips on to hers and pick her up leading her to one of th guest bedrooms
I don't like girls being all up in my bedroom it's creepy and so unacceptable
I lay her on the bed and take some rubber from one of the drawers I have no intentions of being a dad anytime soon
And the rest is history ......
I wake her up after the last round we just had we have been at it for like 3 hours it's already 16:00 mom is coming home soon
She groans still enjoying her beauty sleep
Lisa:"whatt?"
Me:"you need to leave"
Lisa:"ohhh come on Nkosenye "
Me:"I get that my sex game is great but that's enough for one day "
Lisa takes a heavy sigh and wears her clothes that are scattered on the floor
I wear my clothes and accompany her to the door
Lisa:"aren't you coming ?"
Me:"nope but here's some Uber money I got plans "
Lisa:"you such a dick you know that "
Me:"and you were Cumming for that dick just minutes ago "
Lisa:"whatever "
Me:"don't worry I requested an Uber for you already might be here in 2 minutes "

I give her R200 notes and close the door I'm pretty sure the Uber is arriving anytime soon
Nomzamo's POV
I check the time and it's already 18:30 great the family is going arrive any minute now and my nap took longer than expected
I drag myself to the bathroom to take a shower and try fixing myself
After the shower I head to my wardrobe what does one wear when they are meeting their inlaws?
This is literally so annoying and I'm so not in the mood for this
I stare at the pile of clothes neatly stacked on my wardrobe
After minutes of staring I finally decide to wear an avocado thigh high slit with long sleeves it's like a polo neck
I take some pictures obviously and post them on my story instead of my feed
I just let my hair loose you know my afro is dangling nje
The doorbell rings and it's time to pretend I wear my black flops and head downstairs
Mom looks at me one last time and smiles I'm guessing to give me assurance everything is going to be okay
The family comes in olwethu is also here and amahle and of course my so called husband decided to honour the invite I don't get why we are even invited here to this dinner it's adult stuff
I step closer to join them while they are still greeting each other flashing a genuine smile his mother isn't that bad only tha she looks lik she just came out of a magazine man this lady has style
Amahle comes and hugs me ,I love this girl and she's a teen so me and her are going to make great friends
Olwethu gives me a friendly hug ,and whispers in my ears
"It's going to be a long night "
I just playfully hit him to shut up I agree though it's going to be a long night ,well the dude (my husband ) looks at me and nods
I just mize him got no time for him anyways
Mom:"glad that you came "
My dad and Mr dlamini disappear to my dad's study I'm guessing to discuss something wow is everybisy making friends with the dlaminis except me
Mom:"let's go to th dinner table "
My mom cooked a whole buffet for the 'important people'
We sit around the dinner table mom and mrs dlamini on my opposite side along with Amahle
And it's olwethu on my right and Nkosenye on my left I'm basically breathing their fine masculine perfume
It' smells great but nkosenye's is much more over powering
I place my phone on top of the table
We spend sometime talking ,mostly Mrs dlamini asking me stuff about me for a change the atmosphere was good
Amahle is a very busy character and she loves clothes same like me ,olwethu is the best shame I have a feeling we going to have a good relationship with him an innocent one at that he seems nothing like the guy on Instagram
Man this guy has a good sense of humour Nkosenye has been awfully quiet I'm guessing he's not fond of the things happening but I couldn't be bothered one bit
My phone rings on top of the table
"Sabelo❤️🫀" flashes on the screen my heart starts beating fast I know Nkosenye saw the Id caller
He looks at me I don't know if I'm seeing things but there's a bit of sadness but maybe. I'm jus overthinking things and then he's back to being cold and grumpy with a frown
Mom looks at me
Me:"can I pleaseeee answer this I will be right back "
Mom just nods and I take my phone and leave to go stand at the balcony
I answer the call
Me:"hey"
Sabelo:"hey were you busy ?"
Me:"yeah just a family dinner"
Sabelo:"ohh well sorry I just kinda missed you these are the times we used to talk "
Yeah he's right everyday at 7pm we would call each other and talk till maybe 9 or 10 pm
Me:"yea I noticed anyways how are you ?"
Sabelo:"regarding the break up I'm good I guess just been tryna cope without you "
Me:"yea "
I don't want to say me too because I would just find myself back into it again and me doing that is only going to place his life in danger
When I was in the forest I learnt that whoever stands between this marriage with me and Nkosenye is bound to suffer and die or they either become a sacrifice just like our uncles
Sabelo:"do you miss me ?"
Me:"why do you ask that ?"
A lone tear runs down my cheeks
Sabelo:"because I miss you nomzamo and it hurts "
Me:"then maybe we should stop talking "
Sabelo:"why so right now you just going to push me away ?"
Me:"I'm doing this for you "
Sabelo:"no you not "
Me:"I can't keep stringing you along "
Sabelo:"in what ?"
Me:"I can't tell you but goodbye Sabelo please don't call me anymore"
Sabelo:"I can't do that "
Me:"do you love me ?"
Sabelo:"of course I do "
Me:"then if you love me can you please let me go I'm begging you "
Sabelo:"nomzamo I can't --"
Me:"goodbye Sabelo "
With that said I hang up and cry like cry it all out I lost him I pushed my first love away
The first and the last guy I will ever love
I fix myself up I know my eyes are puffy and evident that I have been crying but I don't care
I take my seat and everybody looks at me the dad's are back I ignore their stares and pull a chair out and sit
I can feel nkosenye's eyes on me
Nkosenye's POV
Seeing her eyes puff red just makes my heart shatter I don't know why I dislike this girl but I'm touched when I see her cry and this broken
I know that she still loves Sabelo and for my sake I don't like the effect nomzamo has on me so I'm going to keep to myself because her heart is with someone else and I don't want to be in love with her
I'm not being rude or mean because I hate her I just do that to every girl it's a walk I built around myself all these years being in love just seems so weak
I take out my phone and go on Instagram
Im getting married to her but I don't even have her number great !
I send her a DM we might argue but I don't hate her
'hey are you okay ?'
Her phone beeps on her lap she looks at it and is shocked she looks at me and types something
'im fine "'

'i don't have time for your mixed signals'
