I stared at the girl seating there, shocked. I couldn't believe that it was really her seating here talking to the Master like he was an old friend. When I last saw her at the Grand Ball, I had a feeling that I would be seeing her again, but I didn't expect that to be this soon. The young woman chuckling softly as Makarov was speaking and I couldn't believe that she was actually here in the guild.
But why is she here? I thought.
"You know her?" Cana asked.
I gave her a glance.
"We crossed path during the Grand Ball," I said, "Other than that… I really don't know anything about her."
"She must have been a spectator of the Games," Erza said.
"I want to know what exactly she is doing here," I said walking forward.
As I got closer, Elizabeth's eyes instantly turned in my direction almost as if she had sensed me approaching. Her eyes were a shade of purple that seems almost black as she met my own eyes and her smile seems to widen even more making her look slightly devious as how it was glinting in the natural light that was within the guild.

"And here is the person of honor," she said raising a hand toward me.
The Master and the others glanced at my general direction. Makarov laughed lightly.
"Eve, my girl," he greeted, "You have a visitor from the Grand Magic Games. I heard she is a fan of yours."
I stared at Elizabeth, "A long way to travel just to meet me Elizabeth."
The girl joined her hands together upon her lap, a picture of innocence and yet as I was looking at her features, there was something more hidden beneath those purples eyes. Something about her tugged at me with familiarity, something I couldn't understand. I have never met her before, at least not until that night at the Ball.
"I know," she smiled, her eyes shifting to Erza who was standing a little behind me, "And you must be the legendary Titania Erza sir Makarov was telling me about."
"A pleasure to meet you Elizabeth," the redhead nodded at her, "What exactly brings you here to the guild?"
"Ah yes," Elizabeth said clapping her hands, "I had almost forgotten why I came here. The company here was so lovely that the memory was almost gone. Thank you for reminding me Miss Scarlet. I am here for a simple reason really…I want a bodyguard."
"A bodyguard?" Erza repeated.
Elizabeth nodded.
"Yes," she said, "I have never really needed one before, but hiring a common person is just too much of a hassle and since Fairy Tail is currently the best guild in the entire Kingdom right now, I decided that I must come here to get to it."
The young woman stood up from where she was seating.
"I have come here in hopes of finding someone worthy but I got sidetracked talking with your master," she said giving Master Makarov a small smile, "Considering that I am familiar with Eve the most since our previous meeting, I have decided to chose her as my bodyguard."
I crossed my arms.
"Why would you want a bodyguard?" Master Makarov asked, giving the girl a concerned look, "Is someone targeting you?"
Elizabeth chuckled.
"Well, I wouldn't be surprise if someone isn't targeting me sir Makarov," she said, "As head of the Mable Foundation, having someone attacking you at random is part of the job."
"The Mable Foundation?" Master Makarov said shocked.
"No way…," Elfman said.
"I have heard of that place," Erza said, "You're a member of the Mable Family?"
I gave the redhead a confused glance, "The Mable Family?"
"I see my fame preceded me," Elizabeth chuckled, "Yes my family is quite well known in the world…well, we've fallen into obscurity for the past years. You could say that I am the last surviving member of that infamous family."
"Is that why you want a bodyguard?" Master Makarov asked.
"No my family have nothing to do with that," Elizabeth answered him as her eyes fixed upon me, "It's for another purpose entirely. Since I am already familiar with Eve…I want to choose her as my bodyguard."
Master Makarov hummed lightly before he turned his gaze toward me.
"Well Eve?"
I stared at the girl across me for a few moments thinking. She was up to something, that much I knew and unlike that time at the ball I wasn't going to let my guard down around that girl. She already showed me that she hides behind a mask.
"What's the reward?" I asked.
"Two hundred million jewels," Elizabeth said simply.
There was a collective gasp as everyone stared at the girl in front of them in shock. Even I was surprised at the amount of money that she was going to give just a bodyguard job. Master Makarov had his mouth dropping open in shock.
"T…T…Two hundred million jewels?" he gasped.
"T…That's almost as much we made in the Grand Magic Games," Elfman said shocked.
"S…She can thrown out that kind of money just for a bodyguard job?"
"That's insane…,"
Elizabeth gave me that smile again, similar to the ones she gave me that night when were dancing in the Ball.
"Do we have a deal?"
"You're giving me that much money just to do a bodyguard Job?" I asked, raising my eyebrows in skepticism.
"I could give you more if that's what you want," Elizabeth said, "It's not like I'm going to be needing money anyway…might as well put it to good use right."
I stared at her, completely thrown off by her. What the hell was wrong with that girl?
"I can't really deny your request," I told her, "If I do it will make my guild look bad."
Elizabeth clapped her hands again, a smile upon her face.
"Alright," she said, "Let's go then…we have a long to go."
"What exactly are you planning to do here?" Erza asked her, "if you're willing to give up that much money just for one person, wouldn't it be better to have multiple wizards along?"
"If it was anyone else they probably would have," Elizabeth told her patting the redhead on the shoulder, "But I have never done anything the way people expect so…"
She simply shrugged her shoulders before making her way toward the door of the building.
"Sir Makarov," she called out, "The money will be delivered to you in three weeks time as well as a thank you note for letting me takes Eve along with me."
"You hired me for a Job," I said.
"Of course Miss Mable," Master Makarov said bowing his head.
The young woman gave him a light smile again before turning her attention toward me again. She gave me a small smile.
"My airship will be here momentarily," she said, "Pack what you will need and meet me at this location."
She extended a small note at me and I took it. With that, the young woman walked away and out of the guild leaving me to stare at her back. I stared down at what was written upon the note and read what was written upon it.
"That's just outside Magnolia," I murmured.
"You got some crazy fangirl eh Eve," Cana teased.
"You acting like I went looking for that," I yelled at her, turning my gaze toward the drunk girl.
Cana only laughed.
Erza however had her arms crossed.
"I don't like this," she said, "Why would she single you out of everyone here?"
"There is probably something more going on than she let out," I said frowning, "I don't trust her at all."
"Like I said, you have a fangirl," the brown haired girl said.
I only sighed at her, pinching my nose before giving my girlfriend a small smile.
"So much for going on an S-Class Job together."
"Even if that job isn't S-Class," Erza said, "You better be careful."
"I'm always careful," I told her.
The redhead gave me a blank stare.
"Fine…I'll be extra careful then."
"That's more like it."
A few minutes later, I was approaching the intended area where Elizabeth had told me to meet her and as I approached the area I came to a stop staring at the large airship that was seating in the open grassland. It was very extravagant looking, and by just looking at it I could tell that it was expensive and only people with money can buy.
"Good you're here," a familiar voice called out.
There was Elizabeth seating down upon a blanket beneath the shade of large tree with purple leaves. The young woman was seeping on some tea that was in a cup in her hand, with a light smile upon her face. I made my way toward her and come to a stop in front of her. There was a basket seating beside her as well, probably filled up with food.
"A little early for a picnic isn't it?" I asked her.
"Come and seat," she said indicating the empty spot across her, "I brought some food with me."
I stared at her for a few moments before taking a sigh and then taking a seat down across her. Elizabeth picked out a small plastic bag from the basket and handed it toward me. it was filled with different fruits that seemed to be all freshly cut. It looked quite nice and I took hold of it.
"Now then, let's talk about your Job," she said, "As I have told your Master, I am in need of a bodyguard. I want you to guard me for the rest of my life."
My eyes widened in shock.
"WHAT?" I nearly screamed.
Elizabeth smiled for a few moments.
"I have paid for two hundred million jewels to get you," she said, "I expect you to honor your agreement, unless you want to make Fairy Tail look bad as you said before."
"I'm not some sort of object that you can buy just because you have a lot of money," I snapped at her, narrowing my eyes in anger, "And you want me to guard you for the rest of your life. Are you daft, if you want to have something like that then hire an actual bodyguard instead of me…"
"But none of them are like you are they?" Elizabeth said, "None of them have that passion I saw in your eyes that day during the Final day of the Games. That's what I want from you Eve, that same passion that you have when you protect someone."
"How can I protect you when I don't even trust you?" I asked.
"Are you referring to the little flirting I did back during the Ball," Elizabeth said leaning her head to the side, "Might I remind you that you flirted back with me? I mean really, I don't reveal all my cards in one night, you were practically asking me to take you home and have my way with you."
I couldn't help the flush that was brought upon my cheeks at how she had spoken. Elizabeth must have noticed it for she had this saucy smirk upon her lips as her purple eyes were alight with mischief. She then stood back up upon her feet.
"Well come on," she said, picking up the basket, "We have a long way to go. If I stay out any later, James is going to be worried about me."
"James?" I repeated.
Elizabeth gave a small smile.
"He is my butler," she said.
She made her way toward the airship and I followed after her. The inside was even more extravagant than the outside of the ship. It was all lush fully decorated with a red carpeted floor and beautiful designed armchairs. It looked more like a living room than the inside of an airship but then again, this belong to the girl that gave up two hundred million jewels just so she could hire me.
Someone with that kind of money wouldn't need a single wizard as a bodyguard, I thought frowning, Just what is she planning?
Elizabeth came back into the room and I could feel the airship moving.
"I've spoken to the conductor," she said taking a seat into one of the comfy looking armchair, "We will arrive back at my Estate in a few hours…give or take."
I stared at her for a few minutes before taking a seat down upon the chair across her.
"Are you ever going to be honest with me as to why you needed a bodyguard?" I asked.
"Are you ever going to stop asking stupid questions Eve?" Elizabeth retorted, "I told you before that I paid money so that I could hire you as bodyguard and that is what I did. Why do you always want to know everything? Isn't an adventure going into the unknown and go face forward until the end?"
"This isn't an adventure," I told her.
"Well then, I'm going to make it an adventure," Elizabeth smiled before suddenly she started to yawn, "Wow…so the drugs are finally catching up to me…"
I stared at her confused.
"Drugs?" I repeated.
Elizabeth waved me off.
"I'm going to take a nap," she said lying down upon the sofa, "Feel free to help yourself to the food that's in the cabinet at the end of the room."
"You're seriously going to sleep in the middle of our conversation?" I said, feeling a sweat drop at the back of my head.
"We'll talk more in the morning," Elizabeth mumbled.
"It's the middle of the afternoon," I snapped at her.
Elizabeth didn't answer me verbally but I could hear the soft snore that was coming from the now slumbering girl. I let out a groan, feeling annoyance rising through me. Why was I here in this place with this woman when I could have been having a good time with Erza. We were going to take an S-Class Job and having an ordinary day to ourselves but she had to step in and mess everything up.
She said she need a bodyguard but I don't believe that one bit, I thought narrowing my eyes at the sleeping girl from across me, That girl is planning something…anyone with two eyes can see it. What I don't understand however is why she needs me to be here?
I couldn't sense any magic from her meaning that Elizabeth wasn't a wizard. So I might rule that out of her being a wizard and she was part of a Mable Family. I have never heard of them before, but from the reaction that the guild had from her revelation I must say that they were a legit family but then again, the last time I ran into a noble family they turned out to be the benefactor of the Hellfire Dark Guild.
Alright so I'm not going to let my guard down around her, I thought, Not until I learn everything that is going on with her.
So I simply stayed there, listening to the sound of the muffled sounds of the wind outside. Elizabeth did say that it was going to be a while before we get to the place we were going. Her soft breathing were the only sound that filled the ship for the hours that passed.
The new Job had started...Where is this unusual Job is heading now...
