The next day arrives and the team is trying the mind as one training.
"Now remember. The thing on your mind needs to make you feel connected to your team. And then mentally you will form voltron." Coran announces.
The others sit in silence as they close their eyes to think of those thoughts. It takes a bit but the others seem to have form their thoughts into their lions but Keith still struggles.
"Number four, we need you to focus." Coran tries.
Keith growls in irritation and takes the piece off his head and slams it into the floor. "I'm sick of this exercise!" He exclaims. "I don't need you all in my head!" He begins to storm off.
"What's with mullet?" Lance asks, to shiro.
"I...I actually don't know." Shiro answers, surprised that for once Keith has not told him what is bothering him.
Ulaz watches as Keith storms off. "Continue the exercise, I will speak with the boy." He states to coran and walks off.
Ulaz finds Keith in the hall. He watches as Keith punches one of the walls and then leans against it as he groans, irritated.
"Something on your mind?" Ulaz asks, trying to be a smartass.
"Dont. Just dont." Keith growls.
"Care to share with a fellow galran?"
"No." Keith gets up to walk away.
"If you don't tell them soon they will find out and it might be worse than telling them." Ulaz tries.
"I'm leaving before they find out." Keith states.
"You're leaving voltron?" Ulaz is shocked.
"I don't belong here." Keith states. "Im half galra and they all hate galra. Well except pidge even though she should hate them since they took her family."
"Zarkon did. As you already know, not all galra are bad." Ulaz states.
"Doesn't matter. The others don't want us around then I leave. I'll leave before I can be rejected by them." He begins to walk.
"Maybe try telling them and then see." Ulaz tries.
"How about you stay out of my business?!" Keith snaps.
"Whoa, what's going on out here?" They both turn to see shiro.
"Nothing!" Keith shouts and starts storming away.
"Keith!" Shiro grabs his arm and stops him. "Please tell me what is going on."
"Nothing you need to know." Keith snaps and snatches his arm away.
"Keith!" Shiro grabs Keith's hand this time. "Is it something to do with why Zarkon tortured you?"
The younger male turns around and punches shiro in the face. Sending Shiro loudly into the wall.
"What is going on out here?!" Lance asks as the rest of the team comes running out.
"Nothing." Shiro answers.
"This doesn't seem like nothing." Lance states.
"Dont worry about it. Just go train please." Shiro tries as he gets back to his feet.
"I think the team needs to hear this." Ulaz tries.
"Stay out of it!" Keith growls.
"Keith, man, you have been acting strange alot more lately. Gonna tell us what's going on?" Lance now asks.
"I think it's best we leave it alone." Pidge jumps in.
"You know what's going on?" Hunk asks pidge.
"No. I mean it's just we want to be a team then maybe we need to give Keith space to give him his own time to be comfortable with the team." Pidge tries.
"You know something!" Lance shouts.
"Guys!" Shiro tries.
"Its not mine to tell!" Pidge shouts.
"Can we stop the shouting?" Hunk asks.
"Leave her alone!" Keith shouts.
"Then tell us!" Lance shouts.
"Guys!" Shiro tries again.
"Secrets don't keep or make friends, so spill!" Lance shouts.
"Leave it!" Keith shouts.
"What is going on?!" Allura cones storming into the hall.
"Keith wont tell what's keeping him from doing these exercises." Lance answers her. "And pidge knows but won't say either."
"Keith?" Allura turns to him.
"Dont worry about it." Keith growls and storms away.
"Keith! Keith come back!" Shiro tries but Keith keeps walking.
"What did you do?!" Allura glares at Ulaz.
"I have done nothing." Ulaz answers.
"Obviously you have done something!" Allura shouts.
"Enough! Fighting isn't going to get us anywhere." Shiro jumps in. "When will we be able to take off of this planet?" He now asks.
"Day break." Allura answers.
"Good." Shiro states. "Alright Paladins, let's continue some training."
"What about keith?! Shouldn't he be training to?" Lance starts.
"Best we leave him be." Shiro answers.
Shiro looks to Ulaz, having a feeling he knows what has gotten into Keith lately. Ulaz looks back to Shiro in response and says, "I am not the one who should be answering your questions." Ulaz then walks away.
"Right...well, number 1. Let's return to out training. There's still many more excersis you all must do." Coran starts up.
"Yeah. Okay."
After awhile Shiro arrives at Keith's door. Hesitant to knock. "Keith?" He decides to call out instead. "We need to have a talk."
The door opens and there stands Keith, moody as ever. "Nothing to talk about." He states.
"Then why is something bothering you?" Shiro asks.
"Nothing is bothering me." Keith states.
"Ever since Ulaz showed you've been a bit...moodier." Shiro explains.
"He did nothing wrong." Keith states.
"Then can you at least tell me what's going on?" Shiro asks.
"Not ready to." Keith answers.
"Keith..." Shiro looks Keith's in the eyes and that's when it hits Shiro. "There's something that Zarkon knew about you that intrigued him."
"That's already obvious." Keith growls.
Shiro then sees the sudden change in Keith's eyes. "Wait...Did they inject something into you? Experimented on you like they did me?" He asks, holding up his galra tech arm.
"No." Keith answers.
Shiro then gets a glance at a weapon sitting on Keith's bed. He notices how it has the same symbol as Ulaz's.
"Where did you get that?" Shiro asks.
"I think you need to leave." Keith tries pushing Shiro but Shiro walks pass him. He grabs the blade and looks at it.
"Are you-"
"Dont." Keith closes his door.
"You're galra?" Shiro asks, not looking to Keith.
"Half." Keith states.
"But your father-"
"Human."
"So that means-"
"My mother is galra."
It's silent between the two for what seems like forever. Till Shiro clears his throat and puts the blade back on the bed.
"That's why you can't focus on the mind excersis?" He asks Keith.
"Pretty much." Keith answers.
"I had a feeling but...I didn't want to believe it." Shiro states then looks to Keith. "Who all knows?"
"Pidge and Ulaz." Keith answers. "Please don't tell the others..." Keith begs.
"I wont." Shiro promises.
