Chapter one hundred seventeen: "Good"
When I was little I always think that I would be beautiful in a wedding dress, styled hair, pretty makeup, and importantly a nice body to enhance the dress' design
But that's not the case right now
I sighed as I stare myself at the mirror
My stomach grew a lot
I'm 6 months pregnant now so the baby bump was seen, it was huge, to say the least. With a pout, I checked myself at the reflection in front of the full body mirror after trying on a wedding dress that mom, Aunt Laborè, and Sophia suggested
The dress hugged my body and embraced the baby bump since mom said it looked very beautiful to see it
The bell rang after someone opened the door in front of the shop, the scent of food hits my nostrils and I turned my head to find my fiancè holding a paper bag
I smell hotdog
A huge grin formed on my face as he handed it to me "Thank you, I was starving"
Well I'm not the only one starving to be exact, the baby also demands food
Cloud watched me eat the hotdog as we sat on one of the benches inside the shop, the manager of the store showed Cloud the dresses Sophia suggested would be perfect for me
Yes, we were inside the shops that belonged to Sophia
"Why don't we let the bride choose?" Cloud then handed me the selected wedding dresses, the tip of my index finger pointed to a pretty long-sleeved dress
"That one" I glad say after swallowing a hotdog piece
"Then it's settled, we choose this" he spoke then gave the paper back to the manager "Mom is gonna add more details to customize it for you" he added when he turned his head to face me
I finished the hotdog then looked down at my stomach "But maybe I should choose something to hide it, I think I gained some weight with this pregnancy" I mumbled to myself
He has sharp ears, so it's no surprise he gave me a reaction to my mumbling "You're carrying our baby, besides the dress should suppose to fit you not you forcing yourself to fit into the dress" he kissed my temple before answering the phone call when it buzzed in his coat pocket
Daisy stuck her tongue out at me at the other end of the shop "Stop being too lovey-dovey, I almost puked out my breakfast bitch" she jokingly say to me
Wyett could only smile awkwardly at all the strange stares the few people giving them strange stares
Dustin kept checking out one of the female employees of the shop which earns him a smack at the back of the head by Noah "Don't be a pervert or else Mom would hear about this" he warned his younger brother
Benjamin was playing a game on his game console beside me "I just wanna get out of here, there is a ballet recital at my school right now"
Nick turned his head "You're going to see a girl are you?" then started wiggling his brows
The youngest Marshall brothers' ears turned red then cleared his throat "I just wanna see her fail"
"I see how you gave her your precious bracelet at the diner last week" Nikki then started making kissy faces at him
Benjamin stood up "I'm gonna go, I think I'm surrounded by monkeys. Not you though Penelope" he waved goodbye to me then stepped out

"Daphne I would be caught dead looking like that!" Granny Rita exclaimed when she saw Mamita Daphne's outfit for the wedding
Mamita Daphne rolled her eyes at her "Good. Then die" before proceeding to put on some jade earrings by the vanity mirror
Sometimes it surprises me how my 2 grandmas get along so well like sisters
I snorted which made both of my grandmas turn to look at me, with one hand on her waist she gave Grany Rita the look "Now look! Penelope is laughing"
"Well it's good for the baby" Granny Rita retorted
My bedroom changed a whole lot, the decor is no longer those cute hearts or all pink theme anymore. The things inside my bedroom changed including the walk-in closet
With a sad smile, I watch them both
Both of my Grandpas are long gone during my college years, they only got each other now
They only tease or mock each other to ease the grief they're having
A knock interrupted their bickering, Ava came to my home for a visit "May I come in?" she politely asked me, and I nodded
As I try standing up she stopped me immediately "Don't worry I'm still capable of walking" she laughed wholeheartedly at herself and then sat down beside me on the bed
"So what are you two girls fighting on about?" she sets her cane down on one of the chairs
Granny Rita pointed at the dress that Mamita Daphne is wearing "Great! Please tell her that the design is so old fashion"
Mamita Daphne's left eye twitched "WE ARE OLD RITA!"
Welp, looks like I should get out
I wanted for the right moment so I could get out of their heated argument and found myself accidentally hitting my head slightly at someone's chest, my head tilted back to find Aiden
He took a peek at the bedroom "What's going on? You're in a hurry" he chuckled
"The grandmas are at each other's throats, I should step out"
We became silent for a moment
The last time he saw me was at the party where I announced my pregnancy
His honey brown eyes saw the huge baby bump "Woah! Didn't expect for it to become that big" he said in surprise
I patted my stomach carefully "It's getting bigger, I even have to find clothes that look nice and pretty since maternity clothes don't suit much to my taste"
The abomination of maternity clothes I saw at the shop downtown has a ridiculous price for a weirdly printed tiger face in the middle of the dress
"So uh, how are you?" I asked him so this wouldn't be an awkward conversation
Aiden scratched the back of his neck "Things are doing well, I got into the top list of nominees for song of the year and Ruth persuaded me to take an acting role at one of the films" he shrugged
I smiled up at him "I'm glad things are doing well for you"
Even though he loved me before he stayed within his boundaries and watched me from afar
"If it's a girl I'm sure it would become pretty as you did" he patted my head
"Nah I'm more worried the baby would become an idiot like I once did" I honestly say to him and we both laughed
After we finished laughing, he added "I think that would be the least of your problems, after all, Cloud is the father"
I didn't need a huge sign on top of his head to know that there was a hint of sadness behind his tone of voice
"So how's the wedding planning coming about?" we walked together out of my house while he asked ms
"It's tiring but thankfully our families are willing to lend a hand from time to time"
I can't say the same about the wedding venue though, Cloud's brothers and my sisters almost started a huge fight about whether the wedding should be held at the manor or a hotel
In the end, I said that I wanted to have a wedding at the hotel in Alberta. The one where my family reunion was once held before the place where the misunderstanding started
Cloud was confused and asked me why, I told him because that's where we started to act on our feelings. It's the place where our feelings are started being recognized
Soon the wedding came
