No One P.O.V - Forest Area
Smashing sounds can be heard outside of the van, the trembling Tang held onto Pigsy's arm, while Macaque and Kyubi have been trying to wake up Wukong who was back in his meditation state. They tried yelling, banging pots and pans together, they even poured ice water on him, but nothing worked.
And I bet you're wondering, where are Sakura, MK, Mei and Sandy. Let's head back to this morning
Few hours earlier - Sakura P.O.V
After eating some breakfast, I helped Uncle Pigsy pack the equipment and chairs
"Hey, Sakura. Where's MK? He was supposed to help us with the packing" Uncle Pigsy asked, and he sounds like he's starting to get agitated
"He's practicing on his powers, I know Mei and Uncle Sandy are with him to give him support, even Macaque is with him since we all know that Monkey King isn't gonna help MK" I said and sighed at Monkey King
'Why can't Monkey King try and help MK on regaining his powers? I know Monkey King is still recovering his powers from his fight against the Lotus Prince Nezha, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't dodge his responsibilities as a mentor. Speaking of Nezha, I hope he's okay. I haven't seen him for a while, so I hope he's alright' I thought, and I heard Mei calling me. I went towards where MK and the others are, I saw Macaque teaching MK how to transform into an animal while Mei and Uncle Sandy were watching in the sidelines, cheering him on
"Okay, kid. Now try transforming into a bird, and remember to visualize it" Macaque said, MK nodded. MK took a couple of deep breaths and started to concentrate. After a few minutes, MK was later surrounded by golden smoke, and something flew up, we looked up and saw MK as a bird
"Aha! I did it! Check it out you, guys!" MK flew towards us excitedly
"That's awesome MK!" Mei said
"You did it little man!" Uncle Sandy said
"Proud of you, kiddo" Macaque said with a small smile and started to walk back to the van "We'll work on your training next, blossom" Macaque whispered in my ear and continued to walk back to the van
"That monkey really needs to stop teasing you like that, my lady" Kyubi said as he jumped on my shoulder
"He really should, but I don't think he would stop even if I asked him." I sighed "Kyubi, can you let Uncle Pigsy and Uncle Tang know we'll be coming back in a minute?" Kyubi nodded and left to the van to tell my uncles'
I walked towards MK who was still flying around and called out his name
"MK! C'mon, we need to go back on the road!" I shouted, he flew back down and changed back to normal
"Alright! Now I have 2 powers back! I just need to work on a few thousand more!" MK said and we started walking back to the van.
Once we got into the van, Uncle Pigsy started driving, but why was he going into a different direction?
"Uh... Uncle Pigsy? Why are we heading towards the different direction?" I asked but received no answer
"Pigsy? Tang? Macaque? Kyubi?" MK called out their names, but no one replied, we opened the curtain to the front, and no one was driving the van
"What the?! Where did everyone go?!" Mei shouted as Uncle Sandy, MK and I huddled towards Mei, and we heard laughter
Macaque P.O.V
When everyone got inside the van, Pigsy started driving and Tang was looking at the map as usual. For the fox, he was sleeping on blossom's bed, but something doesn't feel right. I looked around and noticed the kid, dragon girl, the big blue guy, or blossom are nowhere to be seen
"Hey, fox. Where's the others?" I asked and the fox started to wake up
"What do you mean? They're here, aren't they?" Then, I started to panic a little
"Hey, Pigsy! We need to go back! The kid, dragon girl, the big blue guy or blossom are not here!" I said and he hit the brakes
"What?!" Pigsy turned the van around and started heading back to the forest
Forest area
"Kid!"
"Mei!"
"Sandy!"
"Sakura!"
We call out their names, but we received no response, while we were looking for them, I heard something coming
"We need to get back inside the van. Now" I said and Tang wasted no time rushing into the van, Pigsy was about to ask why, but I pulled him inside of the van and locked the doors. Then, we heard a demon growl and smashing sounds from the outside
(Which brings us to now)
I went to Wukong who was still in his meditation state, now it's time for him to wake up!
"Hey, fox! Help me wake up Wukong!" I said and the fox changed into his true form, and we begin on trying to wake Wukong
I slapped his face a couple of times, then the fox also begins to slap Wukong. When slapping didn't work, we tried yelling in ears, and we pulled out pots and pans and started banging them together
'Geez! Why is he so hard to wake up?!' I was about to punch Wukong in the face, but I saw Pigsy pulling something out from his pocket and shoving what looks like a very spicy pepper 'Wait, is that a Chaos Ghost Pepper?! Where on earth did he get that and why was it in pocket?!'
After the pepper was shoved into Wukong's mouth, his eyes glowed golden and he stood in front of the backdoor
"Stand back master! Sun Wukong will handle this demon!" Wukong said
'Oh no...' I felt my face turn pale
Wukong kicked the door off the hinges and jumped outside, he looked around for the demon
"Looks like I scared it off. Master, it's safe to come out now. You too piglet" Wukong said
"Master" Tang said stars in eyes
"Piglet?!" Pigsy said full of anger
"Ugh, fine. Zhu Bajie. Better?"
I carefully stepped out of the van hoping not to gain any attention, especially from Wukong
"Hey, monkey, why are you being silent for?" Kyubi asked and I went stiff, resulting everyone especially Wukong to know I'm here
"Mac!" Wukong rushed towards me and gave me a tight hug
'Why are his hugs always so tight?!' I thought as I tried to free myself
"Mac! I'm so happy to see you!" Wukong said finally releasing from his death hug and he turned his gazed towards the fox "Kyubi! What are you doing here? You're usually with Konohana, wait is she here?! Konohana! Where are you? I want to give you a hug and introduce you to my best friend Mac!"
"Uh... Wukong, why don't you look for your staff?" I said as I tried to catch my breath
"Good idea!" Wukong started to look for his staff, and I turned towards Pigsy and Tang
"I know what you guys are thinking because of the Chaos Ghost Pepper, Wukong thinks we're thousands of years in the past meaning this is when he was on the journey with his companions to the West, and based on how he mentioned Konohana's name meaning she also joined him on the journey" I explained, and we saw Wukong coming back with a stick thinking it's his staff
"So, this is like amnesia rules? We just bonk him on his dumb head and boom, back to normal" Pigsy said
"What did you say, piglet?" Wukong asked with a glare
"Piglet?! That's it!" Pigsy said as he started to glare back, Wukong asked Tang to say the word and he'll make Pigsy into a steamed ham and I sighed
Tang tried to calm them down, but he was taken by an unknown demon
"Master!/Tang!" Both Wukong and Pigsy shouted
"The demon took our master!" Wukong said
"We gotta do something!" Pigsy said, Wukong put the stick behind his back, picked up Mo, grabbed my arm, I also had the fox in my arms, and he grabbed Pigsy with his tail and we took off
Mountain area
Wukong dragged us to a field full of tall grass, once he let us go, he started looking around and pulling out pieces of long grass from the ground, while Pigsy is getting agitated
"What does this have to do with getting Tang back?" Pigsy asked but Wukong didn't answer "Is this the same type of garbage you tell MK? Instead of talking to him straight?"
"MK? Huh?" Wukong looked at Pigsy with a confused look
"Of course, you don't remember the kid. One day, you're gonna grow up to be a terrible mentor!" Pigsy shouted and Wukong laughed
"Ha! Zhu Bajie, can you imagine me teaching someone? Ha!" Wukong laughed again
'You have no idea' I sweat drop on the thought
"C'mon Mac! Help me find Tu-Dee!" Wukong said and I turned pale again
'No, anything but Tu-Dee'
"Who?" Pigsy asked and Wukong started calling out the spirit's name
"Tu-Dee! Tu-Dee! Tu-Dee! Tu-Dee!"
I sighed and I noticed the ground started to lift up where Pigsy is standing, then the dirt pile started to move on its own, resulting both Pigsy and Mo to fall off. Wukong pulled out his stick and pointed at the dirt, and popped out from the pile was the mountain spirit Tu-Dee
"Ah, there you are!"
"Uh... He lives in a hole?" Pigsy asked
"Of course, he does. Mountain Spirits can live anywhere in nature like the trees, the waters, even in the ground" Kyubi answered
'I honestly forgot he was here' I thought
"Oh, great Tu-Dee. A demon has captured our master and we fear for his safety. So, you heard of anything like that?" Wukong asked and Tu-Dee begins to tell him, but knowing the spirit he'll also tell his stories as well
"Might as well get comfy, this is gonna take a while" I told Pigsy as I sat down on the floor and Pigsy did the same
The next morning No one P.O.V
Monkey King was still listening to Tu-Dee's very long explanation about the demon's whereabouts, while Macaque, Kyubi, Pigsy and Mo were sleeping, and were awakened with Monkey King thanking Tu-Dee for his knowledge
"What did he say?" Pigsy asked as he started to wake up
"The demon we seek... Is in that castle!" Monkey King pointed at the castle that was literally next to us and boy was Pigsy angry
"Finding all that out took all night?!" Pigsy yelled with fire in his eyes and mouth that burned the butterfly that was flying by
"No, of course not. This guy is just awesome! So many great stories" Monkey King said as he started to pull both Pigsy and Macaque while Mo and Kyubi jumped on their shoulers, and started heading towards the castle
When they got to the castle, Pigsy asked Monkey King on how they can get inside
"It's simple" Monkey King picked up Pigsy with his tail and crashed through the castle's wall with Macaque following behind holding both Kyubi and Mo in his arms, when they landed on the floor except for Pigsy who landed on his face from the fall, Monkey King looked at the woman with purple eyes and dark green hair
"Unhand my master evil demon! I am Sun Wukong, and the monk is under my protection!" Monkey King said as he pointed his stick at the demon woman
"Protection from what? A beautiful queen?" The demon woman laughed a little
"Look! We are not gonna let you eat my friend!" Pigsy said and the demon woman looked offended
"I would never!"
"Oh yeah? Then, why all the illusions?" Monkey King said as he snapped his fingers, and everything surrounding them changed into broken pieces of the wall, the other women turned into scorpions, the food turned into scorpions and the demon woman changed into her true form, the top half of her body is human except for her arms were scorpion claws while the second half was of a scorpion
"Okay, fine, fine! I'm a demon! Okay! You happy?! I just wanted to be a beautiful queen, but fine I'm a demon!" The scorpion demon said while Pigsy tried to remove the scorpions off of him, so Macaque decided to help Pigsy remove the insects and Monkey King was eating a piece of meat with scorpions on him
"I'm surprised you can eat with all of the scorpions on you" Kyubi said
"Well, it's kinda obvious that I'm gonna win the upcoming fight, so might as well eat something" Monkey King said as he continued to eat the meat
Tang tried crawling away from the scorpion demon, but the demon blocked his path with her tail and lifted him up
"Hey, uh, just to be clear, eating me won't make you immortal" Tang said, Monkey King was gonna say it will, but Macaque covered his mouth
"Listen, we don't want to cause any trouble. Just give us back our friend and we'll leav-" Macaque was cut off with a hit in the stomach, making him crash into the wall
"No! He can't leave! He must stay! Forever!" The scorpion demon said
"Don't worry, master! Here comes Monkey King!" Monkey King used the stick to attack the demon, but it was sliced into pieces. Monkey King looked sad for a minute and looked at the scorpion demon with anger in his eyes, thus the battle between them began.
Pigsy went to Tang to check to see if he's alright, and later realized that she gave Tang food, Tang held up a bowl, saying he should get the recipe for the noodles. The battle was getting intense, so Macaque got up from the ground after the crash and walked towards Tang
"Tang, maybe you stop the fight between them?" Macaque suggested, Tang agreed and rushed between the two
"Wait!" Monkey King and the scorpion demon stopped fighting "I get that you're alone, but lying about who you are, forcing people to be your companions, it's not the answer"
"I've been here by myself for so long. I heard Monkey King talk about you being his companions, well that's all I ever wanted... Friendship"
"You can't steal friendship. It's something that's earned" Tang said
"He's right. The five of us are friends because we chose to be" Monkey King said, making both Tang and Pigsy surprised
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. We're friends?" Pigsy asked
"Of course, we are! Everyone needs friends. Can you imagine what I'd be like without friends? I'll probably turn into a really manipulative jerk or something" Monkey King said and laughed, while Pigsy, Tang, Macaque and Kyubi gave him the look
'You have no idea' They all thought
"Anyway, you need to find someone that wants to stay here with you in this lovely... home... forever" Tang said
"Yeah, yeah. But where am I gonna find someone like that?" The scorpion demon asked and an idea popped into Pigsy's head
"Oh! I just had the best idea" Pigsy said with a grin
Back at the van
Once they got back to the van, Monkey King was going through the bushes to find his staff, Macaque sat down on the ground, feeling exhausted
"We can't leave him like this. I think he's getting worse" Tang said to Pigsy as they saw Monkey King pull out another stick from the bushes saying he found his staff. Tang looked up at the cliff and saw a big boulder, he told Pigsy that he's gonna find something to bonk Monkey King's head with and left. Pigsy sighed and noticed the book on the ground, once he opened the book, he looked through a few chapters about Monkey King's journey with his companions from a thousand years ago, then Monkey King popped from behind and took the book out of Pigsy's hands
"You know, they really got your face just right. Super on model!" Monkey King said as he looked through the pages of the book
"Yeah, so, hey listen, I guess I just wanted to say before you turn back to... Maybe you ain't so bad for the kid after all. Just do me a favor, keep him safe, all right? I mean when we get the tree rings of Samadhi..." Then Monkey King corrected him
"You mean four rings, Zhu Bajie" Monkey King said, making Pigsy, Macaque and Kyubi surprised with the new information
"Four rings?! Wukong, what do you mean four rings?!" Macaque asked
"Well..." Monkey King was about to explain when a big boulder fell on top of him
"Did it work?!" Tang yelled from the top of the hill
"Tang! What are you doing?!" Pigsy shouted and Tang rushed back down from the mountain
"What? You're the one who said to hit him in the head" Tang said as he catches his breath
"Yeah, but I didn't say kill him!" Pigsy shouted again
"Relax, it'll take a lot more than that to kill him" Macaque said as he dusted off some dirt off of himself
"He's right about that" Kyubi said as he walked towards the small group, and the boulder started to creak and once the boulder was fully destroyed, showed Monkey King who went into his battle stance, but later breathed out the fire from the Chaos Ghost Pepper
"Hey, why is my mouth so hot?" Monkey King asked and Tang ran towards him and hugged him "Hey, why are you hugging me?"
Tang started to explain about everything that happened, and once Tang finished, they all went inside the van, and Pigsy started driving again. But Macaque and Kyubi couldn't stop thinking about what Monkey King said
'Four rings? What are you hiding Wukong?' Macaque thought as he glanced at Monkey King and glared at him
"I know what you are thinking, and I understand the feeling. So, for now, let's keep our guard up and hope my lady and her friends are alright" Kyubi said, Macaque nodded and looked away from Monkey King
