Vampire Ray!
I was walking around the dark forest with a flashlight in hand.
My friends told me to get drunk and find the old cemetery on Halloween night to prove them that I'm not a scaredy-cat.
So here I am all alone, drunk and tired in the forest at night.
I heard a branch snap behind me and I turned around.
I tripped on a gravestone and fell.
"Fuck. Who's there?!" I yelled.
I heard footsteps in another direction and pointed my flashlight into the darkness.
I saw no one there and got up.
"Show yourself!" I yelled, looking around frantically. "Whoever you are!"
"Stop yelling it's giving me a headache" someone said. "And calm down"
"Who's there?"
"I'm Ray" I felt a hand being placed onto my shoulder. "Who are you?"
"I'm Y/N"
I turned around and pointed my flashlight into the person's face.
He was tall with strong arms and curly hair.
"What's a human like you doing out here at this time of night" he asked.
"Human? What do you mean?"
He smiled, showing off his fangs.
A vampire?! In this forest?
I backed away from him in terror. "Stay away from me"
I grabbed a broken branch and pointed the sharp end at him. "Don't come any closer"
My feet hit the stone again and I tripped.
"Be careful, you might hurt yourself" Ray said, holding me up. "Try to calm down, your heart's going really fast. Just trust me, I won't hurt you"
"Why are you here?" I snapped. "You're a vampire"
"I'm just bored, okay?"
I pressed the sharp branch against his chest and he let go of me.
"Why are you here?" He asked.
"My friends dared me to find the old cemetery while drunk and here we are" I said. "I guess they were hoping I'd die"
"They knew we're here"
"We?"
"My friends"
"You're not alone?"
"Ray!?" A voice yelled.
"Why didn't y-" I snapped but he put his hand over my mouth and shushed me.
"There you are Toro, we've been looking all over for you"
"Oh hi Gerard" Ray said, turning around.
"What are you doing all the way out here? This is too close to the humans" the other person, Gerard, said. "Mikey was worried that they'd see you"
"They didn't see me! No one saw me!"
I peeked out from behind him and Gerard's eyes shot to mine.
"Is that a human?"
Ray tensed up and grabbed my hand. "Uhm"
"Why are you hiding a human?" Gerard's voice was darker. "How many times have I told you what you're supposed to do to humans?"
"Kill them" Ray sighed. "I know but-"
"But what?"
"But I don't want to! I don't want them to fear us!"
"If you're not gonna kill him then I will!"
Gerard charged at me and Ray blocked his way.
"Y/N go!" Ray yelled. "Go home!"
"I can't leave you to fight him" I said. "He'll kill you!"
Ray smiled sadly and pushed me away.
I grabbed the broken branch and stepped in between the 2 with the sharp end to Gerard's chest. "He's your friend so calm the fuck down"
Gerard's face softened and his eyes turned from red to hazel. He looked really guilty and stepped away from Ray. "I'm sorry, I haven't eaten in a while and I haven't been myself lately"
"I get it man, you just gotta control it" Ray said.
I backed away from them and Ray glanced at me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Mhm" I hummed, nodding my head.
"Good" he hugged me tightly and I closed my eyes, feeling his warmth around me.
"You know, I always thought vampires' skin was cold"
Gerard chuckled and gave Ray a look. "It usually is"
"Usually?"
"I was born with the ability of changing my body temperature but it can also change with my mood" Ray explained.
"He's happy" Gerard said. "When he's happy he's warm"
He placed a hand on Ray's back and smirked.
"He's REALLY happy, he's basically burning"
Ray let go of me and punched Gerard's arm.
Gerard gave him an amused look and Ray frowned.
"I have to go back home now, it's almost midnight" I mumbled. "I need to find the way back"
I shivered slightly and exhaled slowly.
I could see my own breath in the air.
"I can walk you home, if you don't mind" Ray said. "You look pretty cold"
He put and arm around me and started getting warmer.
I relaxed and rested my head against him, closing my eyes and taking deep breaths.
"I'm tired" I mumbled.
"I can carry you to your house" he said.
Ray picked me up and said bye to Gerard.
I grabbed his shirt gently, wanting his warmth closer to me.
I could feel his heart beating faster.
"Calm down Ray" I traced a heart on his chest with my finger. "I can hear your heartbeat"
"My heart beats faster the more I use my powers. A vampire's heart is a different from a human's"
I hummed quietly, closing my eyes and taking in his warmth.
He held me closer to him and just kept getting warmer.
"Which one is yours?" Ray asked.
"The gray one with the bat decorations" I said.
He took me to my house.
"C'mon in honey, no point in staying outside" I said.
Ray opened the front door and took me to my bedroom.
He put me down onto my bed and I grabbed him, pulling him down with me.
"I really should go ba-" he tried to say but I interrupted him with a chuckle.
"You're burning"
He blushed lightly. "And you're drunk"
"I know you like being around me"
I hugged him carefully and he rested his head against mine. "Mhmm"
"I like being around you too don't worry"
Ray smiled at my words and buried my face into his side.
3 months later...
"Hey Y/N" Ray whispered, hugging me from behind unexpectedly.
"Hi Ray, you're really happy tonight" I smiled.
"Yeah"
"I have to tell you something really important"
"Hit me"
"I'm in love you and I just can't keep it hidden, it's impossible. You're just so sweet and adorable, plus you're fucking beautiful"
I could feel him become colder.
"You don't like me back, do you?" I asked sadly.
"No, I really, really do but I'm not allowed. You're a human and I'm not" Ray said. "We can't be together"
"Bite me"
"What?"
"Turn me into a vampire. I love you and I don't want something like this to get in between us"
He warmed up again, this time almost burning my skin. "Are you sure?"
"100%"
"Okay"
He grabbed my chin and softly and turned my head up.
I closed my eyes and let my body relax.
Soon I felt his sharp fangs pierce my skin.
I let out a quiet whimper and grabbed his hair.
I could feel the venom shoot through my veins, infecting me.
"Are you okay?" Ray asked, pulling away from my neck.
I looked at him and saw the blood dripping from the corners of his mouth.
"Yeah, better than ever"
Then I grabbed his face and kissed him.
He kissed back, his lips getting hot against mine.
"Someone's excited" I chuckled.
"I'm so in love with you, I can't explain it. Let me show you how happy you make me"
We sat down on the bed and I held his hand.
Ray went quiet and closed his eyes.
His hand started getting hotter and hotter until I couldn't hold it anymore.
"That's how much I love you" he said, taking my hand again and cooling it down.
I tackled him onto the bed and kissed him.
"You're so perfect" I mumbled into his shoulder as I hugged him.
