Back again with another one!! Been wanting to do this for a while now, and here I am. She-Hulk is a great show!! A few things are bit off, but I still love it.
Quick notice: this is JenXJohnny fic. Based on episode six of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. Jen deserves a good man in her life, so I'm gonna give it to her. 😎

***Jennifer Walter's Home, Living Room***
Jennifer Walters paced back and forth in her living room, nervously tapping her hand with her phone.
Today had come with a fair share of good and worry. She had received a package in the mail from an old high school friend, Lulu, with an invitation to her wedding. That was sweet. But more than that, she had also asked Jen to be one of her bridesmaids. That was.....okay? Truthfully, Jen felt a bit off about it seeing as how the two weren't CLOSE close friends like her and Nikki were, and also, she hadn't talked to Lulu in years. But she didn't want to hurt Lulu's feelings. Plus, who would say no to being a bridesmaid?
But that wasn't the only thing eating her. No, the other was that she was supposed to bring a plus one as well. That was a problem.
Aside from the fact that Jen wasn't dating anyone, she didn't really have anyone to turn to for help on this. Bruce: off world. Chet: already going as the wedding DJ(plus, it'd be too embarrassing. Bless his heart. She loved her cousin...despite how weird and loud he was.). Pug: already had plans with Nikki for that day.
She had no one!...or so she thought. There was one person she could possibly ask. He was an old friend of Jen's that she helped out him and his family one time, and they became pretty close after that. Sure, it had been a month or so since they talked, but she figured if she could count on anyone to help her, it was this man.
"Okay, okay. I'm gonna do it," she said as she sat down on her couch, opened up her phone and went to his contact.
In it, there was a picture of a young but handsome blonde with one cute smile for the contact photo. Under the name: Johnny Storm.
[Jen looks to the reader: "Yes, that Johnny Storm. Flaming member of the Fantastic Four. Great guy. Bit of a loose cannon and a flirt, but he is kinda cute. And plus he's a good friend of mine and he's always saying he's willing to help me out. I just never thought I'd be asking him something like this.....God help me."]
After much hyperventilating and procrastination, she hit the 'Call' icon and it began to ring. With each ring, the more nervous Jen became. It's funny, when it came to fighting Titania, or those bozos attacking her, she was fine. No fear. But with this, she was shaky as a leaf.
Four rings had passed, making her feel she should hang up.
'Maybe he won't pick up,' she said to herself, 'then I won't have to-'
[Split screen. Jen on the left, Johnny on the right.]
"Hello?" A voice from her phone said.
Crap.
"Hey! Hey Johnny!" She replied, nerves still shaking, but she played it off with a smile even though he couldn't see her, "it's-it's me, Jen."
"Oh, hey, Jen! Good to hear from you!" Johnny immediately smiled as he replied.
'Cutie!' She thought to herself.
"Good to hear from you too. Uh, how have you been?"
It was the best she could come up with. She figured it wouldn't be best to just jump right in and ask him. She wanted to break the ice first....and procrastinate a little more.
"Oh, ya know," Johnny replied coolly, "another day, another bad guy. That sort of thing."
"Haha, yeah. I hear ya there. I'm learning that more and more now that I'm a Hulk."
"Yeah, that's right! And hey, you're getting better and better at it too! I saw that video yesterday how you stopped that robbery. Stopping that car and grabbing that one runner. Well played, Shulkie!"
At that, Jennifer blushed. She didn't know which was better; the fact that Johnny was praising her acts as a new superhero, or that he just called her a cute nickname.
"Thank you," she said, smiling from ear to ear.
Though she would have loved to have kept this sweet interchange going, she remembered that she did call Johnny for a reason. "Oh, by the way, Johnny, uh....do you think you could help me out with something?"
"Of course! You know I'm always willing to help a woman in need."
"Well, good. Because I'm in a bit of a bind her and I could really use your help."
"What's up?"
"Well, there's this girl I knew back in high school and we haven't talked in years. But she just invited me to her wedding."
"Wow, that's nice!"
"Yeah!...as a bridesmaid."
"Oh....well, I've seen this movie before." Johnny joked.
"Haha, right!" Jen laughed, "But there's something else..."
Here it was, the moment she was shaking about. Apparently, she took quite a bit to respond thanks to her nerves and getting the courage that Johnny became worried.
"You alright, Jen?" He asked her.
"Jen, what's wrong?" There was genuine concern in his voice.
Hearing that concern, Jen too a deep breath and hoped for the best.
"I'm supposed to bring a plus one. And I don't really have anyone I can turn to...except you."
Johnny's eyes were wide as saucers as she said that last part. There was a moment of silence between them, one that made Jen even more nervous.
"Wow, that is a situation." He said with a nervous laugh.
"Yeah, it is. You know what, its alright. Don't worry about it. I'll just tell them I couldn't find anyone, or-"
"Whoa, wait a sec, Jen. Don't turn me down too quick."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I think you should see me in a tux before you try and cancel our date."
"Wait, you mean...you mean you'll do it?"
"Of course I will. What did I tell you? Anything you need, I'll be there for you."
Jen felt her heart beat faster and a smile made its way to her lips. She even felt little tears coming up, but fought them back. "Johnny Storm, you are a lifesaver. Literally."
"I am pretty amazing," the blonde cockily replied, before they both laughed.
"Yes, you are." Jen giggled in agreement.
Johnny smiled at the sound of her giggling. It was such a wonderful sound. It hit him so much that his cheeks began to heat up with blush...maybe a little more than just blush.
"Seriously, though, thank you so much, Johnny!" she thanked him with glee, "You have no idea how much I appreciate this. I owe you big time."
"Hey, forget about it. I'm more than happy to, Jen. Uh, when do you need me there?"
"Well, it's next week on Thursday, so-"
"Wait, hang on." Johnny jumped in, "The wedding is on a Thursday? Who does that?"
He couldn't help but laugh at that, to which Jen shared the humor.
"I know, right!"
The two laughed a little more before the conversation went back to it's seriousness.
"Okay, so since it's on Thursday and we have to be there a day before, how about you come early Wednesday morning? That way we can ride there together."
"Sounds good to me! What time should I be there?"
Jen thought for a moment, then answered, "Maybe seven o'clock-ish."
"Wow, that's pretty early. I don't even get out of bed until at least nine." There was a bit of humor in his voice that Jen picked up on. This caused her to smile again. He had that effect on her.
"Awww, Johnny, please?" She begged teasingly, "Do it for me?"
Now, it was Johnny's turn to smile and blush. This woman was something else, but he loved everything about her. Her jokes, her getting his jokes and dealing with him, all of it. That's how they were able to joke like this.
"For you, milady, I will be there at six forty-five."
'Milady?' Jen squeaked to herself.
She couldn't help another giggle. "My hero."
"Yes, ma'am!" Not that she could see it, but Johnny did a little bow and chuckled after. "Okay, Johnny. I'll see you Wednesday."
"Sounds like a date!" Johnny smiled. "Can't wait for it."
That caught Jen off guard for a second. A date, was this a date? And then it hit her; she had just inadvertently, asked Johnny Storm on a date. To a wedding, of all places! And he accepted it happily! Maybe, just maybe there was hope for her after all.
"Me too, Johnny. Me too," she smiled sweetly.
Johnny was smiling on his end too, and even felt his heart beating faster. Why, because he was happy. Why? Because of her.
"Bye, Jen." He said.
"Bye, Johnny," she replied.
And with that, the two hung up.
[Back to single screen with Jen.]
Having set her phone down, she smiled even more, grabbed a couch pillow and hugged it to herself happily.
[Jen to the reader: "Didn't I tell you he was a great guy?"]
With that, she kicked her feet up on the coffee table and laid back on the couch, still holding her smile.

Phew! First chapter done and the plan is now in motion! Yes, I ship Jennifer and Johnny. Mostly bc I have never really seen Johnny with anyone(aside from the soldier woman in Rise Of the Silver Surfer), but also thanks to the series Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes where She-Hulk joined the team for a bit. And during that time, there were some flirtatious moments between them, and I made me think how cute it would be to try and act on some of that.
Also, you guys know I'm a fancaster, so for Johnny Storm in this MCU story, I've fancasted....Glen Powell!! I have spoken(Hope you like it, hehehe).
