Summer was the same. Avella in her manor, her parents always sipping on tea in the drawing room. Avella had most of the summer to reflect on what to do with Lucretia and Tom.
She has to do something. But what? They have the book now.
Once Avella got back on the train for her fourth year she had dropped divination and Herbology. She kept up with Dark arts. But when she got back she wanted to see what all the swooning and chuckling was about in the common room.
"Look at how handsome he is." One whispered
"Lucretia is lucky." Another voice was heard
Soon people revealed a tall, handsome boy. Was he new thought she.
"Who are you?" She asked
"Oh darling Avella Lestrange. It is I, Tom Riddle." He smirked down at the girl
His features became more mature. His voice had dropped into a lower octave. His hair slightly parted with a wave like tone to it. His eyes looked at the solemn girl.
They stood like that examining eachother. Both utterly surprised about how they have both changed. Avella developed her mothers features. Fair looks she had. Tom developed his fathers. Stern.
As much as she hated to say it that Tom looked like he'd been blessed by angels.
Soon Dorea came up and eloped Avella in a hug
"Vella! So great to see you!" She smiled
"Get away from me!" Avella pushed her back
"Vella? Are you okay?" She asked
"No I am not. You totally neglected me by going off with Lupin leaving me alone, excluding me. You think I need a friend like that? No." Avella turned and walked to her dorm
Next day had dawned and the only friend Avella had was the library. She looked through the aisles of book and came across an old one, she pulled it out and opened to a random page. A family tree. A woman, who was gaunt and frail. She must of been the heir to Slytherin.
Avella let out a gasp. It couldn't be. That Merope Gaunt had married Tom Riddle sr. A muggle?
That means Tom Marvolo Riddle was the true heir to Salazar Slytherin. She immediately shut the book and ran out. He must of known it himself. She needed to find him. The heir.
Once she did he was along with Lucretia, now she think they are actually inlove, this was by far the most longest relationship Lucretia had.
She ran up to them, their faces turned from bright to dark.
"What do you want Lestrange?" Lucretia folded her arms
"Not you. Your boyfriend because there is some important business that we've got to attend to. Definitely more complex than your whole human complexion, Black." She smirked
Tom nearly laughed but held it in. Lucretia looked at her flushed with deep red.
Tom had pulled out from her grasp and went away with Avella.
"Why do you wish to speak to me?" He walked along with her in the direction of the library
"You never told anyone you are the heir to Slytherin?" She whispered
His face was shocked.
"Why didn't you tell—" but his hand went straight to her mouth before she could spit another word out
"This cannot be told to anyone, understand? I cannot tell anyone. How did you know? How did you find out?" He looked into her eyes
"I'm not as daft as I am portrayed to be." She put down his hand. They looked at eachother in silence when she noticed they were still touching hands. They both pulled away. Looking slightly embarrassed.
"Where is this book by chance?" He asked after the silence
"In order to find the book I need something from you" she stepped forward
"What is it you so desperately desire?" He asked
"Break up with Lucretia." She snakes out
His face went blank
"And why should I do that? I told you I love her."
"Break up with her. I know you never loved her. I see it in your eyes you want to be away and deparated from her love. You do not satisfy her needs and never will. You only want to love for power." She retorted
It was true.
"You cannot get anything out of me easily, Lestrange" he sneered
"Or I'll tell everybody your the rightful heir. So be it." They didn't break the gaze
"Are you blackmailing me?" He asked
Tom had never been blackmailed, he was always the blackmailer. This was peculiar because nobody would ever do this to the Tom Riddle.
"Are you in?" She folded her arms
He has no choice.
"Yes. I'll do whatever you ask of me." He looked at the girl who now possessed all the power of Tom Riddle.
"Tomorrow you are to part with Lucretia Black under my observation." Avella turned around but he spun her back
"What have you done to me? Making me into a puppet when I am the puppeteer. It cannot be. If you have the power over me..you have power over anyone." He leaned in
"You are not one to frighten me, Tom" she replied looking at his face
"Please do not trifle with me so. I found you from the first moment so interesting. You are the essence of life I cannot hold. You are the soul in darkness." His face changing from stern to soft
Avella was alarmed. What in Hogwarts earth is he saying to her
"I am one to trifle with." She smirked
"You are so quick witted, unordinary. Ever since I laid my eyes on you, it's you. The light of all darkness." He smiled
"Stop the nonsense! I do not think you capable of loving, sir. You do not love, only use. In conclusion I cannot accept you." Avella concluded and ran down the hall
Was he spiked by a witch?
"Lessie!" All she heard as she went to her chamber.
