My POV
So Since y'all know there is security there should be pipe workers right? So that's when the hedgehogs come in. The hedgehogs are the pipe workers. They go through labyrinths of mazes and tunnels in order to find out the problems with the pipes.
It is also very dark in there since they're deep underground like the bees are. They like to sleep a lot too, especially when there are no problems with the pipes (aww the hedgehogs are adorable) They also don't t need to wear their flashlight helmets on a lot because in their eye they have light-dark circadian rhythm.
They like to spend time with Masha whenever they can (cuz they love her UwU)
