Chapter Cover: Natsu standing there with fire growing around him and beside him was Eve with golden feathers dancing around her.
We stayed in the water for a few more minutes before leaving it. With the many people in the area, I went and seat down where our stuff was taking the towel there and starting wiping my face. I turned my gaze toward the redhead that was beside me and she was using her own towel to wipe her form. I just keep staring at her. I let out a soft smile before turning my gaze toward the numerous peoples that were around us.
It was great that we can relax like this despite the Games happening, and I was really glad that Sakura had suggested we come here. It was a great way to relieve the tension that had been growing on the Arena. I stood up and wrapped the towel around my hips.
"Where are you going?" Erza asked, curious.
"I'm going to get us something to drink," I told her with a light smile.
"That sound great," she said as she lied down upon the small bed that, "Something cool should do the trick don't you think."
"You just like ordering me around aren't you," I told her with a light smile.
Erza simply smiled at me. I simply blew a kiss her way causing her to laugh but then I made my way out of the pool area so that I could find where the food courts where. I was humming a light tune under my breath as I made my way forward, glancing around myself taking notice of a few peoples that were enjoying themselves and I can eve see a family walking together.
One of the boy was holding a large ball that size of a beach ball and was laughing as his little sister was in her mother's arm. I smiled lightly noticing them before turning my gaze toward the direction where the food court was. I searched for a few moments, glancing around to at least find something that I could get and one of them drew my attention.
They weren't many people in front of it so that mean it will be a quick way to get to the drinks I am going to buy and even quicker to get back to where Erza was. With a light humming tone, I ran straight toward where the stand was and approached it.
It was a young man dressed in the blue shirt with the RL logo upon his breast pocket. He had bleach blond hair which were pulled back and an easy going smile upon his features. He had sunglasses seating upon his head similar to how people wear them on the beach and his eyes seems to light up when he saw me approaching him.
"Hello there," he greeted with what he thought was a charming smile, "What can I get a pretty girl like you?"
I chuckled lightly.
"How about a Vernilion Soda apple-flavored and a shake, strawberry flavor," I asked.
"Coming right up," he said with a light wink.
He turned toward his things and pulled a soda out and placed it on the counter in front of me. I stared at the drink in front of me and smiled lightly when I noticed the apple design on the side of the can. I took hold of the can.
"You're Eve Sky right?"
I blinked, glancing toward the young man as he was working on the shake. I was a little surprised that he knew my name.
"You know who I am?" I asked.
"I saw your face in the Games today," the young man said with a light smile upon his face, "And I was blown away by what you did in the MPF. Your guild pretty much dominated today's competition."
"Well, Fairy Tail was the best guild in the country seven years ago," I told him, "We're only doing what we can so we can take back the spot that belong to us."
He gave a light smile.
"So…are you here alone?" he asked as he placed the shake cup upon the counter in front of me, "I get off in half an hour."
"Sorry," I told him, "But I'd rather spend time with my friends and enjoy this day. I don't have time for it, after all, I already have someone."
He blushed lightly, probably in embarrassment. I placed the bills for the drinks before turning away from him and walking off. I guess that's one of the parts of being a pretty teenage girl. Guys will always hit on you no matter what. It reminded me a little of Law little flirting when I was with the Samurai.
"You already have someone you say?" a familiar voice said from beside me, "It's the first I've heard about it."
I glanced at the voice that appeared beside me. I let my mouth drop as I was staring at my old friend Mui. He was wearing a shirt upon his form as well as shorts. He had this little smirk upon his face as he was staring at me. His long hair was falling upon his shoulder and I noticed that the bear he had the last time I saw him had been shaved.
"Mui," I said shocked, "How…What are you doing here?"
"I took over Jellal's place for today," he said with a light grin, "With what had happened earlier today with the Magic Council, he seems to have followed your advice to stay undercover."
"It's great to see you," I told him, "I'd hug you but my hands are a little busy at the moment."
"So I can see," Mui said staring at the drinks I was holding, "Your conversation back there…you said you already have someone. Where you just saying that so he could back off or were you serious?"
I stared at him in confusion.
"What does it matter?"
"Well," Mui said, crossing his arms, "Whoever the guy is, I can have a few choice words with him…"
I laughed at that.
"Oh stop it," I said, "If an asshole is going to try something…well, you know what I am capable of after what I did to the MPF today."
"Congratulation on that by the way," Mui said with a light nod, "I didn't know you have recovered your magic already."
I stayed silent for a few moments, thinking about it.
"It had been a recent development," I answered him, "But tell me Mui, why are you really here in this place? I doubt it's for the scenery."
Mui got a frown upon his face.
"I was following a trace of the magic you and Jellal sensed today," he said, "And it lead me here…while I am puzzled as to why, I don't think Zeref is one for crowds."
I frowned thinking back to the hooded figure I have seen.
"I really hope that you're right," I told him.
He gave me a pat on the back.
"Enjoy your night alright Eve," he said, "and I wish you luck on the Games tomorrow."
"We're going to need it," I told him.
The young man gave a small smile before walking away. I made my way back to Erza with a light smile upon my face. It had been nice to see Mui again after how our last meeting had gone well. I approached toward where I knew Erza was and I came to a stop, staring at the young woman lying down upon the bed like thing where I left her…
But she wasn't alone now.
The Blue Pegasus three-man were standing around her and I had to raise my eyebrow noticing how bandaged that Eve Telm was. I'm surprised they even let him out of the hospital.
"What the hell are you guys doing?" I called out.
Erza glanced at me.
"You took your time," she said ignoring the people around her.
I smiled at her.
"I ran into someone I knew," I told her with a small smile, "These guys are annoying you?"
"A new delectable perfume had just arrived," a male voice called.
A little figure appeared right beside me, filled with large locks of hair. His face was completely blocky and he was really short. He looked like he had glitters coming from his face as he was spinning around me almost like he was a ballet dancer. I stared at the little man, eyes wide.
"The perfume of beauty," he said.
"Man," the tall dark one said, appearing on my other side, "Why do you have to be so hot? Don't think I'm going to be falling for you or anything."
I stared at him, completely taken aback.
"What?"
"Man your beauty is going to blind me," Hibiki smiled, glitter seemingly shining around his face, "I think I need some sunglasses to be able to stare at you."
"Would you like me to be your pet?" the bandaged Eve said.
"Why are you even here?" I asked him surprised, "With all these wounds, I'm surprised you're even out of the hospital."
"Well, the pool is a place to see beautiful creatures like you in all their bikini glory," Eve Telm said, "I couldn't stay away…no matter how injured I am."
I would have done a face palm if I wasn't holding the drinks in my hand. Erza approached where I was standing, standing right in between me and the Three men and pushed Ichiya away from where I was.
"You guys get off of her," she said, her tone changing, "You Hibiki, what the hell was that today with the MPF?"
The young man had the decency to blush at being reminded what he did.
"And you Ren, don't you have already have Sherry?" the redhead said staring at the dark skinned young man.
Ren simply looked away, a light blush on his cheeks.
"And you should be in bed, not fooling around at the pool," Erza yelled at Telm.
She then turned toward Ichiya who seemingly was waiting for her to yell at him with a small confident smirk upon his face. Erza stared at him for a few moments before turning away taking the drink that I was holding.
"Let's get out of here Eve," she said.
"O…Okay," I said.
Ichiya dove for her and took hold of the swimsuit she was wearing drawing Erza's attention toward him.
"Please scold me too," he yelled.
"Don't you dare take hold of my legendary swimsuit," Erza yelled kicking him away.
"Legendary swimsuit?" I repeated, staring at the three men who went after the flying Ichiya.
Erza smiled.
"Of course," she said, "It's quite something isn't it? It's in a very good condition as well and it stays on when I am in a fight. I always have it with me just in case an occasion like this comes up."
I stared at her confused.
"Do you usually get into fights at the pool?" I asked her.
"Depends on the job," the redhead answered as we walked together, "They are some jobs I have taken in the past that I was at sea fighting a large monster."
"S-Class Jobs right?" I told her.
Erza gave a light smile.
"Yes," she said, "Before I started working with Natsu and Lucy as a team….what about you really? You had gone on many jobs too?"
I nodded and then took a sip upon the drink I was holding in my hand.
"Well, I was always working in a team," I told her, "With Gajeel and Juvia and sometimes I worked with Totomaru when I was young and I usually spend the time hunting monsters with Gajeel mostly."
We reached a smaller pool and I spied Wendy there as well as that girl she was fighting against. Chelia and the two looked like they were having fun. Wendy noticed us and she waved at us and I returned the wave. She gave that large grin before returning to play with her friend.
"Well, look at that," Erza said, "These two really hit it off."
"Yeah," I smiled, "I'm pretty glad that everything is going on well for them."
Then I felt Erza touching my shoulder drawing my attention toward her. She was touching the light scar that was there and she had this concentrated look upon her features.
"You know…I have seen that scar upon your shoulder before," she said, "How did you get them?"
"After I escaped from the R-System," I told her, "I was lost in a jungle and some monster had tried to have me for lunch…and that scar was the result of it."
I gave her a light smile.
"But…because I promised myself I would see everyone again, I decided that I wasn't going to give up…and there was when I awoken my magic."
Erza stared at me.
"So that's how your magic was awaken," she said, "I always though that you have learned it from someone else or by yourself…to think your magic awaken like mine did. I guess Grandpa Rob was right when he said there was something special about us."
I let out a soft chuckle, placing my drink upon the side of the pool we were seating on. I stared at the girl beside me noticing how she was staring out toward the people that were around us. I smiled gently at her before taking hold of her body.
"Eve…what are you doing?" she said shocked.
"I'm hugging you," I told her with a small chuckle, "Why…you don't like it?"
"It's just curious," she smiled, "You haven't really done that yet…being all touchy-feely."
I smiled at her.
"Well, I'm on the poolside with my beautiful girlfriend and enjoying a nice night out…so why shouldn't I be all touchy feely?"
"Well aren't you sweet," Erza smiled, a light blush upon her cheeks.
As we were seating there a sudden chill overtook us as I felt a wave of magic coming from somewhere. I turned my attention toward where it was coming from finding a bluish glow coming from one of the water slides not too far away from us, the one with the giant heart on top of it.
"What is going on?" Erza said as she glanced at where the area was.
A sudden wave of ice completely overcomes the entire pool and I couldn't help the shiver that came over my form as the ice completely froze the water. I stood up as well as Erza who had a sudden frown upon her features. I could feel Gray's magic at work and it made me wonder exactly why he had frozen everything...but before I could even say anything else, Natsu's magic flared into existence and then the entire inside of Ryuuzetsu Land exploded.
I had to cover my face with the sudden blast of fire magic causing the entire place to break down completely. When the dust had settled, I lowered my arms and turned my attention toward the distance and was met with a sight of disaster. There were broken rubbles everywhere as most of the rides were completely destroyed in all of the destruction that had been happening with numerous people lying about while the pink haired Dragon Slayer himself was standing there with a giant grin upon his face.
"I win," he yelled.
I couldn't help but sigh to myself as I pinched my nose.
"Well, there goes the relaxing time at the pool," I said.
"Natsu," Erza growled and the girl made her way toward where he was.
I had to shake my head as the redhead started to pummel the young man. Trust Natsu to cause destruction whenever he goes. While he was quite something on the battlefield, but releasing all that power just because someone froze the pool?
The boy need to learn some restraint, I thought as I noticed Laxus holding Natsu's bruised form like he was a ragdoll.
We all decided to call it a night because the pool was destroyed. I returned to the locker room and dressed myself up and met the rest of the guys outside. Gajeel was there with Levy and the young man looked a little mad and Juvia was still blushing in the face.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow Eve," Erza said, "And I was enjoying spending time with you."
"After this Tournament," I told her with a small smile, "We're going to have all the time in the world to do so."
The redhead gave a light nod, "I suppose that's true…Say Eve, can you and I go on jobs together…with just the two of us?"
I gave her a glance.
"I'd like that."
She gave that beautiful gentle smile of hers before waving at goodnight and ran to join Lucy and Wendy who were walking into another direction. I shook my head lightly at her before returning to join Laxus and the rest of Team B.
"Today was fun right guys?" I said as I reached them.
"You really need to reanalyze your definition of fun," Laxus answered.
"You didn't swim?" I asked him.
"All I did was look after the First Master," he said.
I frowned, "She was at the pool? Isn't she…you know…a ghost or something?"
Laxus simply shrugged his shoulders.
"Oh…Gray," Juvia was mumbling, "I never thought you and Lyon had this Boy love going on?"
"Stupid fish," Gajeel was grumbling.
I stared at them, confused.
You know what…I'm not even going to ask.
