Aincrad- Inside SAO
November 6, 2050
Sudden Teleportation. I was at the Starting City, and I noticed Ace looking around.
“What happened?” I asked.
“Maybe it’s an event.” Says Regie who materialized in front of me. I cant believe he wasn’t even surprised.
“Gen!” shouts Ace.
“Here!” I shout back and he found me immediately.
“What happened?” he asked.
“Sudden teleportation. Maybe it’s an event.” I said.
I can see the group of my classmates who materialized just beside us. They were all confused. I told them everything. Suddenly, the sky went red and a huge WARNING sign hangs above. From the ceiling, thick red liquid flowed and materialized in front of us was the GameMaker himself.
“Good Afternoon, Players. This is my world. Aincrad. The dream of a floating Castle above the sky is finally achieved. Now, Let me tell you the mechanics. You will have to clear all of the floors in order to get out.”
Daymar suddenly blurts out.
“We can Log Out.”
“Nope. You can’t. I removed the Log-out Button. This is the Challenge of the Game. NO ONE GETS OUT.”
All of the girls around panicked. Some screamed, some threw bottles at the sky. It was pathetic though.
“In order for you to get out, you will have to clear all the 100 floors I created. About 4,000 today died because of the violation of the rules. You all can’t remove your NerveGears because it will send Microwaves that will fry your brain, killing you. This means that If you die in this game, VRMMORPG world is Game Over for you, so does the Real World.”
“NOOOOO!!!!” shouted the girls.
Regie, Ace and I are too shocked to speak. Even Regie didn’t bother complaining.
“I have gifts for you in your backpacks.”
We all opened the menu and looked into our inventory boxes. We all found the MIRROR ITEM and the NECKLACE ITEM. When I clicked the Mirror Item, A mirror materializes in my hand and the Necklace materializes on my neck. My eyes widened as I held the necklace in my neck. I looked at the mirror and
our faces changed into our real faces.
“WHAT?!” exclaimed Regie. He really loves the appearance of his Character. So DO I.
We found out that some of the “girls” are not really GIRLS. They’re men. Even Daymar’s character changed into him with a pink gown and red ribbon at the head. I smiled and Regie laughed. Ace is still looking at the mirror, hoping to regain his character face back.
“The Mirror changed you into your real selves so you can be comfortable. About the Necklace…”
Regie, Ace and I both looked at each other’s faces and clung to our necklaces.
“No one shall remove that necklace. It is Water proof, Shock Proof and hack Proof. I designed that necklace for a challenge. If you try to remove it, it explodes.”
Our eyes widened. This is too much for an introduction.
“When you hear a screech, that means game over. No one shall exceed the level limits of the game. I won’t say what the maximum level of the game is so that’s another challenge for you to find out. When you reach the max level of your character, the necklace goes BOOM.”
“WHY?!” asked Peter.
“Because No one shall be higher than the boss located at the top of the floor. You will need to use combined powers of your characters in order for you to get out. So, Slay, Scavenge, Survive! SAO!”
He then vanishes into a pure blood red smoke and we started coughing. When the smoke cleared, I found myself alone in the green meadows. Regie and Ace are nowhere to be found. That’s the day I swore to myself that I will strengthen myself in order to get out of this game.
