James, a tall, handsome, raven haired boy whose hair stuck up at the back, was starting his second year, and Robin, a pretty, waist-length shining black haired girl who looked nothing like her parents, starting her first year and Hogwarts.
“Bye Mum! Bye Dad!” James and Robin said to her parents.
“Don’t forget to send letters to us Robin!” My mum, Regina Potter said, happy tears leaking from her stunning blue eyes.
“Quick! Or we’ll miss your first year Robin!” James yelled urgently as he dragged his trunk towards the Hogwarts express, who was moving at a fast pace.
“Okay, coming!” Robin said pushing her trunk instead, panting. “Whoa... so heavy...”
“do you want me to help? You seem tired.” A handsome voice said.
I look up to see a boy with elbow-length straight black hair that cascaded around his handsome face.
“If you’re alright with it, you know... You don’t have to...” Robin mumbled, wondering why such a handsome boy would go to help her of all people.
“But Alas! I have never found a prettier girl yet! My dear, I am pleased to help a... Damsel in distress! You may call me! Wait for pause please” He said dramatically, withdrawing an imaginary sword. “SIR. SIRIUS ORION BLACK!”
“Sirius! Step away from the girl!” yelled a voice.
James was walking closer and closer. Sirius’s face broke into an even bigger grin at the sight of James.
“ahh! My dear James! And in what relation is this beauty to you?” Sirius said, quizzically, placing his forefinger and thumb into an ‘L’ shape and placing it beneath his chin. She could feel her cheeks burning. She wasn’t really; she was exactly like James, except for a body built for a female, waist length, black hair with light streaks of red tied loosely to the side and stunning blue eyes with flecks of gold.
“I’m his sister.” Robin said quietly.
Sirius jumped in surprise. He evidently forgot about her.
“S-sister?” He whispered.
“Yes Sir Sirius Orion Black? Can you hear. Ssss. Eeee. Ssss. Turrrr. Can you say that?” Robin said, my confidence being its usual height, with my brother there.
“STOP FLIRTING AND GET ON THE DAMN TRAIN YOU IDIOTS!” James yelled, half frustrated half amused.
“Righto Jamsie. Now, if you don’t mind, I’ll take that!” He said, picking up my trunk.
“Flirting? What in Godrics name are you talking about? I hardly know this knight!” Robin yelled back.
“Glad you think I'm a knight gorgeous.” Sirius winked. “Now, let’s hurry up before Jamsie here accuses us again.”
After running back and forth trying to find an empty compartment, James and Sirius finally stopped to a halt, forcing Robin to crash into a very hard back, belonging to Sirius.
“I see you just can’t stay away from me hey Gorgeous?” Sirius said, giving her a cheeky smile.
“As much of a chance of James fixing his eyesight.” Robin said, returning a sly smirk.
“A fifty-fifty chance then I suppose. Sirius said.
“Good lord! Weren’t you his friend since first sight?! You realise him getting his eyesight back is a definite negative?” Robin said, arranging my face into what looked like pure shock.
“if you two love-birds finished talking about me...” James said loudly.
“One more word James. Dad did teach me the bat-bogey hex and I’ve just about perfected it...” Robin lied.
“Whatever” James mumbled, while sliding open the compartment door.
The compartment consisting of one mousy brown haired boy reading a thick leather-bound book.
“My dear Remus! How was your holiday?” James and Sirius said, stepping forward and giving Remus a hug.
“Watch it you.” Robin growled. “I’d prefer not seeing my brother and his friend get sassy and gay to another friend.”
Remus looked up with a shocked look on his face. Why is everyone shocked to see me? He pulled himself free from James and Sirius and stuck out a hand.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Remus John-“ Remus started.
“You never told us you had a middle name Remus!” James said, faking a hurt face.
“Yeah! And we were your good friends!” Sirius piped in, pulling a puppy face.
“Sirius my good man, the only think that face would work on is your mother.” Robin said, poking my tongue out.
To my surprise, Sirius didn’t laugh. Or show any positive reaction at all. Instead, he pulled an angry face and said:
“Pfft! My mother? Why would she like my puppy face if she hates my face as it is now?”
“Sorry... I just...” Robin mumbled.
“’sokay. Lets just forget this.” He mumbled in return.
“Well, from the beginning. Nice to meet you, I’m Remus John Lupin and I am a second year Gryffindor.” He said, once again pulling out his hand.
“To you too, I’m Robin Lynx Potter, first year at Hogwarts.” Robin replied smartly, grasping his hand and shook it lightly.
“FIRST YEAR?! GORGEOUS IS IN FIRST YEAR!” Sirius yelled, jumping out of his seat as though a pin pricked him.
“Yes, first year was what I said, your knightliness.” Robin said sarcastically.
The trolley lady appeared and I bought 10 chocolate frogs, 2 Bertie Botts Every Flavour Bean, and 6 cauldron cakes, with Sirius buying twice the amount of mine. I laid all the food down on the floor and sat leaning against the door.
“Well? What are you waiting for? Dig in!” Robin said, picking up a cauldron cake.
10 minutes later, soon after they finished all their food, Remus announced that they should change.
“Do you, you know, wanna change in different room or something?” Remus asked politely after making his announcement.
“I'm fine in here, if you guys are okay with it” Robin said without shame, why does she need to be ashamed about herself?
The boys looked uneasy but all agreed on it.
So they changed. But Robin had a feeling someone was watching the back of me. I was facing the door, so I didn’t know who, but I'm sure I felt it.
When we sat down again, Sirius seemed slightly subdued. Odd.
This isn’t right, spying on my best mate’s sister! No, I have to stop! Sirius thought angrily.
Soon enough, the train came to a halt, and they heard a voice telling them to leave their trunks behind and exit the train.
“First years over ‘ere! First years!” came a deep grunt near the lake.
“seeya” Robin said and trotted off to the grunting.
The grunting came from a very large man with a tangle of hair and beard named Rubeus Hagrid.
Robin shared the boat with Molly Prewitt, Arthur Weasley and Amanda Bones.
We sailed over to Hogwarts and stopped at a gigantic door. Hagrid raised a giant fist and knocked three times, and the door swung open, revealing a black haired, strict looking, woman.
This must be the McGonagall James was talking about in the Summer Robin thought to myself.
McGongall ushered them into a small room near the entrance.
“I am professor McGonagall and I will be your transfiguration teacher.” She said swiftly.
She explained about the houses, and things like that.
The first years entered the ‘Great Hall’, or so that’s what James called it, and the sorting hat was already placed there.
Here’s where everyone was placed:
Bones, Amelia Ravenclaw
Black, Andromeda Slytherin
Black, Bellatrix Slytherin
Black, Narcissa Slytherin
Black, Regulus Slytherin
Chang, Ni Ravenclaw
Jorkins, Bertha Ravenclaw
Kennedy, Karl Hufflepuff
Potter, Robin Gryffindor
Prewitt, Molly Gryffindor
Prewitt, Fabian Ravenclaw
Prewitt, Gideon Gryffindor
Shacklebolt, Jacob Hufflepuff
Smith, Marcus Slytherin
Weasley, Arthur Gryffindor
Zabini, Donatello Slytherin
When the feast started, Sirius, James, Remus and Robin started talking.
“It considered me into all houses, but it said I was most like Gryffindor” Robin said, before falling into a small trance about someone’s name she heard.
“I remember last year, it sent me to Gryffindor because I was rebellious but also had the aspects of a Slytherin.” Sirius said, pulling his face in disgust when he said Slytherin.
“I was put straight to Gryffindor, no hesitations” James said proudly.
“It considered me into Ravenclaw, but when I saw Sirius was a Gryffindor, I told the hat I wanted to be a Gryffindor.” Said Remus, while reading A Beginners book of Spells Grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk.
When the four walked back to the common room (the password was: Phoenix Fortis) Robin asked James if she could sleep in the second year boys room as her permanent room and he said fine.
So Robin slept.
