your parents had let you go off by yourself for a little while while they took care of your siblings.
you were wearing some loose-fitting, baggy blue jeans that went down just below your ankle, a white top with a growing pink heart on it, your now slightly-growing breasts showing a bit, and a soft pink cardigan on top, you were also wearing some chunky white shoes which made you a little taller.
you also had a mcdonalds sprite in your hands which you were happily sipping away at, enjoying the fizz from the bubbles.
duck sits in your cardigan pocket, his head slightly poking out.
at first glance, he just looked like a teddy, but nobody cared to ask either way.
obanai had insisted on staying home. in fact, he had been out a lot lately, and you were unsure why. you know cats often go out at night to hunt and stuff, but you were worried for him. you often swore you could see something slithering behind him, but you often dismissed it.
shaking your head, your pink to green hair bouncing a bit, it not being tied in plaits today and instead hanging loose over your shoulders.
your eyes shine widely as you see a sweets store up ahead, you grin excitedly, hurrying over to it.
the doors were already open, you step inside, immediately being greeted with the scent of various sweets.
you moan in delight, grabbing one of the brown baggies you could fill with as many sweets as you could and going around the store, carefully picking out a large variety of treats.
you quickly go up and weigh your treats before paying and rushing out of the store.
you take a seat on a nearby park bench, taking out a little lolly wrapped in plastic.
you unwrap it popping it in your mouth and humming happily,
mm! yummy!!!
you pass a little gummy snake to duck in your pocket, who munched happily on it.
in no time, over half the treats were gone, and now there was a couple left for each of your siblings and your parents.
you roll the bag up and put it in your empty cardigan pocket.
wait..
your.. empty cardigan pocket..?
your eyes go wide and you look down at your cardigan pocket, seeing nothing but the brown baggie, no duck.
you gasp loudly and panickedly, luckily nobody around to see.
you jump up from the seat, looking around panickedly.
your chest fills with relief as you see duck by a park bench not far, climbing up the leg and onto the seat.
you run over, but in no time, duck had gone running, too, a shining diamond necklace in his grip.
you shriek, holding your cheeks in your hands and running after him, not caring about the weird looks you got from people on the streets.
"wah! duck!" you whisper cry after the little running fella, who managed to snatch a few other pieces of jewellery on his run.
your eyes go wide in fear as duck runs into a leg,
oh no! duck is going to get caughtt! kyaa!
your eyes slowly drag up, green meeting hazel.
you gulp, eyes moving from duck up to the man who looked unfazed, other than a small shiver of shock.
you scan the man's features hurriedly, he had brown hair, though multiple greys were peeking through, a chiselled face, hazel eyes and was wearing a white button up with a yellow sleeveless vest, a black bowtie and a long navy-ish coat. he was wearing similar coloured navy pants and was carrying a large briefcase in his hand.
he looked almost.. familiar? you could swear you've seen him somewhere before.
you gulp, trying to think up a quick lie, "u-uhmmmm.. it's-it's, uh.. uhm, it's my t-toy! it can mo-move on i-it's own" you liee horribly, face bright red and sweating furiously.
the man smiles a bit, eyes glancing over to the brown stick with a pink gem at the end poking out from your pocket.
he crouches down at picks up your little niffler, you freeze up, hurrying and running over to him, prepared to snatch duck.
the man smile and grabs duck by his foot, putting him upside down and tickling his stomach, the contents of his pouch falling out.
your eyes go lightly wide and your eyebrows raise,
eh?
he smiles at you, "never thought i'd see another niffler in my days. quite rare, they are" he whispers, your eyes go even more wide and your lips part.
he moves his coat slightly, revealing his own wand.
your lips form an 'o' and he chuckles softly, holding out his hand with a smile.
you stare at him for a moment before extending your own hand, "u-uhm.. i'm [name] kanroji!" you say, gaining your enthusiasm back.
he smiles warmly, "newt scamander"
your eyes go wide and your jaw drops.
the grip of his hand on yours is soon gone, you rub your eyes in shock, trying to see if you were dreaming or not.
but when you opened your eyes again, he was gone.
you breathe out,
oh my.. was i dreaming? ehh! how crazy!
but when you looked down at your hand, you could tell you weren't dreaming. there was a small piece of paper, written on it 'it was lovely meeting you. it's always nice to see someone who cares for magical creatures as i do. please, contact me again, my owl is always around. - newt :)'
he had even drawn the little smiley face.
you grin broadly, jumping up and down.
KYAAAHHHH! NEWT SCAMMANDER THE AUTHOR OF THE BEST MAGICAL CREATURES BOOK!!!! EEE!
you squeal, hugging duck who looked defeated.
