Chapter 17
"Is Matt not here?" Olivia asked as she looked around. She starting picking up all the rubbish and put it in the bins
"He got called into work the last minute. Caroline and Tyler also bailed so it's just us" Rebekah sighed
"How am I one of the only ones that come but I didn't even attend the dance?"
"You're a good person" Rebekah chuckled under her breath
"You're probably the only person in the world that think that"
"Well then I'm the only right one" this time Rebekah let out an actual laugh
"You're a good person. And in love with my brother" Olivia's eyes widened and she shook her head
"I-I'm not in love"
"You are. And he is too. It's so obvious"
"We've only known each other 2 months. We're not in love"
"Yeah but that doesn't matter if your his so-" Rebekah cut herself off and the other girl just stared at her confused
"His what?"
"Nothing" Rebekah mumbled with a smile
"I'm going to go start in the gym" Olivia nodded and Rebekah walked out of the room
Olivia walked around taking some ornaments down
"I am" she heard a male voice followed by a thud. Olivia stopped what she was doing and rushed outside to where she saw Alaric holding Rebekah against the wall
She ran over and placed her hand on Alaric's arm which then sent his body on fire. He winced patting it out and whilst he did both Rebekah and Olivia ran
They had gotten to Rebekah's car when Alaric was behind her, his skin burning from the sun. He picked Olivia up making sure her hands didn't touch him and Rebekah rushed over to help but Olivia stopped her
"Don't. Dont. He'll kill you. Get klaus" she halted and frowned listening

"Who else would it be?" Alaric said on the phone to Elena. Olivia was tied up to a chair, a cloth around her mouth that when she breathed in felt like razor blades
"Listen closely. I'm at the school. I have Olivia, and if you wanna keep her alive and make sure that I don't drag any of your other friends into this, then you need to get in your car and come down here right away. If you tell anyone where you are going.. I will kill her" Olivia looked up at Ric who was sitting in front of her and sniffled as tears ran down her cheeks

Olivia writhed and cried in pain as Elena ran through the door and she gasped once she saw the pen that was embedded in her hand
"Olivia. Let her go Alaric" he held out his hands motioning to Olivia
"Free her yourself" Elena walked forward cautiously and kneeled down beside her. She held her hand on the pen and slowly pulled it out but Alaric quickly pushed it back in
"AH!" She screamed. Elena turned to him
"You said that you would let her go!"
"How many times do I have to tell you Elena? Stop trusting vampires"

"No no. I don't want to. Please no more" Olivia cried as Alaric dipped the towel that was around her mouth into some substance
"Alaric stop" Elena said getting up but Alaric just pushed her back
"This is hydrogen peroxide. Like, vervain to elementals. It's like inhaling razor blades with every breath" he wrapped it around Olivia's mouth who was gasping and whimpering as it burned her face and throat
Elena: "Why are you doing this?"
"To make it easier on you when you put her out of her misery"
"What? No"
"Isn't this what you wanted Elena? For me to teach you how to kill a vampire?"
"She's not a vampire"
"She's a vampire sympathiser. Same thing" he held the stake out to Elena
"Kill her"
"This isn't what I want"
"Of course it is. All those hours you spent training, getting stronger. You could be a hunter Elena. But you've never actually staked a vampire through the heart"

"Why are you doing this?" Elena asked once again
"Because you need me. Because you're an 18 year old girl without parents or guidance .. or any sense of right and wrong anymore"
"Look at you. How is this right?" she said motioning towards Olivia
"She loves a murderer. How is that right? Listen Elena, your parents lead the council. It was their life's mission to keep this town safe. They weren't dead six months before you undid it all"
"You don't know anything about them"
"Why, am I wrong? Do you actually think that they'd be proud of you?" Olivia didn't care about anything that had just gone on, she was in too much pain and was slipping in and out of consciousness every second
"Now kill her. Or I'll do it for you, and I'll make it hurt" he grabbed elenas arm and forced her up off the chair and placed the stake in her hand. But instead of using it Olivia she turned and tried to stake alaric who caught her arm
"I thought I taught you better than that"
"You did" she smashed a bottle on his head and he dropped to the floor screaming. Elena rushed over to Olivia and pulled the pencil out of her hand and took the rag off her mouth
"Go now" she got up off the chair and tried her best to run out of the room. She jogged down the halls in pain, whimpering and crying
She turned back checking to see if anyone was behind her but felt hands over her mouth
She gasped sobbing but as she heard klaus' 'Shh' she slowly quietened down. He let go of her
"It's okay. It's me. You're safe" she turned around to him and his eyes toom her state in. He quickly bit into his wrist and urged her to drink it
"Go straight home love. Rebekah's waiting for you there. Stay inside. Love, do you understand me?" She nodded and hugged him tightly, tears still falling from her eyes
"Thank you" Klaus sped off without another word and she took that as her opportunity to go home

When Olivia got home that night Rebekah rushed up to her worried
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" She nodded and hugged Rebekah tightly
"I'm okay- I'm-" Olivia gasped as she clutched her chest
"Olivia!" She looked down at her in shock. For some reason Olivia knew where the pain was from.. more so who it was from
"It's klaus. Something happened to him"

Klaus had been desiccated. And Elijah had negotiated having klaus' body in their care.
Olivia was a mess. She felt like a hole had been placed in her chest now that he was gone, and it didn't feel psychological either. It physically hurt her
Rebekah had dragged her along to retrieve his body so she could say one last goodbye
They walked up in storage rooms
"Damon? Damon where are you?" Rebekah called out as they walked through the halls yet he was no where to be seen
"Damon. This isn't funny" Rebekah shouted. The continued but slowed down once they saw open storages followed by a rattle. They gasped once they felt hands over their mouths and looked to see Damon there.
They went over and grabbed the coffin that was holding Klaus and made their way to the door only for Alaric to stand in their way
He grabbed Rebekah's head and smashed it against the car and then threw her across the floor then punched Olivia and kicked Damon. He lifted up the coffin and took his stake out of his blazer
"No!" They shouted but Alaric stuck the stake in Klaus' chest. Rebekah and Olivia went to run forward but Damon held them back making them watch as Klaus body lit up on fire. He took the stake out and shut the coffin
"Next" he said pointing at Rebekah. She ran off with Alaric following her and Olivia rushed over to his body, placing her hands on his chest to get rid of the fire but it was too late. He was already gone
"No, no. Klaus please" she sobbed as she leaned her head on his chest
"Please wake up. Please I can't- I can't do this without you" she placed her hands up to his cheek and sobbed
"I love you. I love you so much don't leave me"

"I know you're here" Bonnie said as she walked into the caves. Tyler walked out of the shadows with a smile
"I must say, you did that spell brilliantly. I didn't think you had it in you"
"I did it to save my friends, and my mother, klaus, even Olivia. But not you" klaus' eyes softened at the sound of Olivia's name. He couldn't even think about the pain she was most likely going through at that moment because of him. He knew the soulmate bond they shared would effect her in some way
"The spirits won't be happy with you"
"Spirits don't get to tell me what to do anymore. I'm done getting pushed around by all of you. I did it because I wanted to" klaus nodded
