"Hey, Madge Marie?" I stare at his face. What did I do? I care now. I'm only supposed to love...him. Not this guy! What happened to my plan? "You in there?"

"Yeah," I say, staring at the ground. I don't understand. Seriously, what happened. "Yeah." I say once more for reassurance.

"Are you sure?" He questions, but I look to the left, away from his face. Avoiding his worried stare. What's happened to me? I thought I was going to do this, and come out the same. Come back still completely loving him. I had this plan. The plan that could save- no. We're NOT bringing that topic up. No asking, questioning or pressuring. This is a secret. And I'm dying to tell. You seem okay. Just, don't tell anyone? This is confidential. Let me start over. So it makes sense. So you don't think I'm crazy. But I highly doubt your gonna change your mind. Here. This is a once in a million story. So listen up. There's no going back.

3 MONTHS EARLIER

I bite my lip, as my leg bobs up and down. I chew off what is left of the nail on my thumb. I can't stand this! The worrying, the waiting, but mainly, just living.

My name, is Madge Marie Anna Louise. I am an 18 year old senior attending at Meadow High School. My talents, well, I have, none really. Endangering people is a habit, I guess. But, I have no friends. I'm the girl who sits on the back of your classroom staring off into space, and never being caught sleeping on her desk. I'm the girl who's books are knocked out of her hands and onto the floor, scattered. But you don't notice me crawling around picking them up, and you just walk around the mess of pages.

I, was noticed by one person. My dad was working on a project for work with one of his co-workers. She was lovely. Nichole Giana Holton. Once, she had brought her son. Daniel Andrew Holton. He was mainly quiet and sketched on his large note pad. I once glanced over his shoulder to see what in the world could capture his attention so well. As I peered, I saw that the picture... well, was of me. I gasped and he threw the note pad away from him, almost jumping out of his chair. I had giggled, and complimented his drawing.

"The drawing looked just like me," I stated, awed.

"I observe a lot," he explained.

"Everyone or just me?" I asked.

"Maybe," he answered. I shake my head playfully, at his confusing answer.

"I love the drawing," I didn't want our conversation to end. "Its beautiful."

"Just like the person whom the picture is of," he smiled sheepishly at me. My face gets warm, and I smile slightly.

I guess you could say that that was the start of a relationship, and if you do, you're wrong. I've had a huge crush on him forever, but he's made it pretty clear he doesn't like me like that. He has a girlfriend anyways. My worst enemy, Macie Maggee. We started out as friends, but when I found out she was dating Daniel, we immediately stopped hanging out. That was about in the eleventh grade. And also when my life was turned around by a text.

'Hey. This is going to be fast. I need money. And you're the key to be getting it. Meet me at the café downtown, and we'll talk.'

My heart had skipped, and made me frightened. I told Daniel about it, and he said not to go. But I felt the urge to, something about it made me want to. To this day, I'm not sure why. But another one sent.

'You know me. I'm not going to hurt you. I just need your help. If you don't believe me, don't come. But I swear if you don't.'

So, I went.

"Madge Marie," he greeted.

"Who are you?" I asked keeping my distance.

"Someone from your past," he said grinning.

"Who are you?" I asked again.

He laughed, and choked out, "You can call me Blue."

"Why?" I asked, thinking he was joking. What a ridiculous name.

"Eh, why not is the real question," Blue shrugged.

"Whatever," I waved my hand in the air, as if dismissing him.

"But, about the money," he said, placing his hands down, onto a table.

"I won't steal," I blurted out.

"Shut up, so I can speak," Blue said, and then whispers, "Someone from your school stole something of mine. I need to sell it to get some cash. A man can't survive without his meth, honey. So I need you to get it for me."

"How?" I said, I didn't really think this was a great idea. Getting something for a drug addict? No wonder he looked so scraggly.

"By becoming 'BFF's' with them, or whatever," he must have been joking. There's no way I'm becoming friends with anybody.

"Why?"

"Well what do you think?" Blue throws his hands into the air. "How do you expect me to get into their houses? They have top notch security! I couldn't drop a pin on their driveway without an alarm going off."

"Oh," I replied.

"I wouldn't be smart with me," I really wasn't being smart, all I said was oh, but I got he was being serious. I gulped as he continued. He explained that I would become best friends with Liana Anderson, and Molly Mander. What he wants will be in one of the girl's houses. He wouldn't tell me what it is that he wants, which I thought was extremely ridiculous. Once found return the item to him, and carry on with my life.

"How the hell do I take something, if I have no clue what the something is?"

"Not the point," Blue replied.

"Very much the point."

"Fine," Blue said. "I'll tell you once you're in the house. It's in one of them so, I'll tell you once you're in the second house."

"But what if I can only get in the first house the first time?"

"Damn it," Blue rubbed his chin. "I'll tell you once you're in the first house."

"Fine," I said rolling my eyes.

I left the café confused. I had so much on my mind. But I knew, that I must find these girls, Molly Mander, and Liana Anderson.

~

I slowly walked down the school hallway, glancing every so often at two girls chatting at the lockers a few down from where I was then. All I had to do was ask them if they'd like to hang sometime. That I've seen them around school, and-yeah. I can't do this. It's-too awkward. I mean, someone whom you've never talked to before, let alone seen, comes up to you asking if you'd like to 'hangout sometime.' It was-and still is-just weird. I sighed deeply, and loud enough to get a few glances or stares from the people around me. Liana, and Molly, huh? Why two popular girls? Why not some nerd from math class, or a towel boy, or I guess, even a compete out-cast like me.

I passed Liana and Molly, continuing to my own locker. I heaved my backpack farther onto my shoulder, so it wouldn't slide off when I reached my hand up to unlock my locker. I twisted the dial to the right, left then back right.

I pulled out my books, and folders, and placed them into my pale blue, book bag. My phone beeped quietly, so I pulled it out.

Hey, just checking up. You ok?-Daniel

Yes, Danny. Aren't you in class?

Yes, I'm ignoring my Mechanics teacher

Bad boy, pay attention.

Damn it this class sucks

Doesn't every class?

I guess. Ok well, wyd?

Bye, Daniel.

No! Don't leave! I'm bored out of my mind!!

Too bad

You're rude. Bye.

I look up from my phone, and see my least favorite person standing in front of me.

Macie Maggee.

She stares at me, creasing her brows. Her two minions coming up from behind her, hands on hips.

"Who are you texting, Loise," Macie said, calling me by my last name. I squeaked slightly as she snatched my phone out of my hands. She scrolled on the screen, her eyes moved side to side, reading my private messages. She puts the phone in my face, and when I try to take it, she pulls it out of reach. "You're texting my boyfriend? Jealous much? Honey, he doesn't like you, let it go."

"I don't like him," I mumbled.

"Oh, it's so obvious," she laughed. "You even love him, don't you?"

"No, Macie," I glared at her. "I don't."

"Yeah, well," she said. "I think you do. And you'd better back off dear. I'm no where near kidding."

I snatched the phone from her hands, and slammed my locker. I walked down the hallway quickly.

I put my phone in a pocket.
I walked into my first class, which is Social Studies. On the chalk board, in big white letters, it says:
CHOOSE 2 PARTNERS. WE ARE DOING PARTNER WORK WITH GROUPS OF THREE.
Yes, perfect. Because I can pick my partners. And I know exactly who they're going to be. And what a surprise they're in my class. Well, here I come Molly Mander, and Liana Anderson. I am going to become friends with you I guess.
