Kara, Lena, Morgan and Alura are currently at home finishing up eating their dinner, while they sit in the living room watching a movie. It is just one of those nice evenings that the family is sharing together, which is made all the more important due to the fact that Lena has missed several dinners with her family over the last few weeks. Eliza is still in National City, and has been continuing to help Lena and Kara out taking care of Alura and Morgan, but right now Eliza is actually out for the evening, and will be staying over at one of her friend's places; a friend that she and Jeremiah met over 30 years ago.
For Kara and Lena, Eliza has been such a big help to them, as they know they really wouldn't have managed on their own, with Kara still going to work, and being Supergirl, without someone else there. But thankfully things are starting to get back to normal now. Lillian is at The Tower, along with Elizabeth, so the CEO is a lot less tense about things, and is spending less time visiting Lillian, and more time getting back to her life, which includes getting back to doing her work at L-Corp. This, in turn, has also meant that Lena is getting back to doing things like what they are doing right now, spending the evening with her family. Frankly, Kara and Lena are pretty sure that they are in a good enough place currently that Eliza can head back home to Midvale, but both Kara and Lena are pretty sure that Eliza has been treasuring every moment that she has been spending with both Alura and Morgan, as she obviously doesn't get to see them too often. Then, at the same time, Eliza clearly has been making a point to bond with her new granddaughter, Morgan, who has very much taken to Eliza, already calling her grandma and everything, which is very nice to see.
As Kara, Lena, Alura and Morgan sit in the living room, watching a movie, they are soon interrupted by an alert from the penthouse's security system. In response to this, Lena grabs the security system tablet, and that is when she sees that Alex is in the elevator, making her way up to the penthouse, and clearly has a worried and upset look on her face.
"It's Alex." Lena says to Kara.
"Oh, I had no idea she was coming over." Kara says.
"Me neither. But she doesn't look too good." Lena says.
Kara then focuses her super hearing, and that is when she notices that Alex's heartbeat is off, and is beating in a way that it does when Alex is upset or stressed out.
"Yeah.... something's not right." Kara says.
Lena nods her head, and then walks over to the penthouse front door, opening it and waiting for the elevator doors to open at the end of the hallway, and for Alex to appear. Soon, this exactly happens, with Alex walking out of the elevator, and Lena can clearly see that the redhead has been crying.
"Alex?" Lena says, in a confused voice, as she quickly approaches the redhead, and takes her in for a hug, "What's wrong?"
Alex hugs Lena back for a few moments, out in the hallway, outside of Kara and Lena's penthouse, before they finally part.
"It's Sam...." Alex says, "I.... I know you're her best friend.... but.... she just said some awful things to me.... I..... It hurt my feelings.... Can I stay here tonight?"
"Of course." Lena says, and now wonders what Sam could have possibly said to Alex.
Meanwhile, on the inside of the penthouse, Kara has been listening to Lena and Alex talking with her super hearing, and she can now tell that Alex very much won't want Alura or Morgan to see her upset and crying. So, Kara decides that she'll need to send Morgan and Alura up off to bed.
"Okay, girls." Kara says, "I think we should all head upstairs."
"Oowwwww.... why?" Alura pouts, "It's not bedtime yet. It's too early!"
"Yeah, it is. How about, you two both get changed, and you can have a sleepover in one of your rooms tonight, and watch the rest of this movie on a tablet? How does that sound?" Kara asks.
Alura looks at Morgan for a few moments, before turning back to Kara and nodding her head.
"Yes, okay." Alura says.
"Morgan?" Kara asks.
"Yes. Can we sleep in my room?" Morgan asks, cutely.
"Yes." Alura smiles, happily.
"Great." Kara smiles, "You two go run along and get changed into your pyjamas, and I'll be upstairs in a bit to set the tablet up for you both, and tuck you in."
"Okay, mommy." Alura smiles, "Come on Morgan."
Alura then takes Morgan's hand, and the two sisters quickly make their way out of the living room, and upstairs towards their bedrooms. Thankfully, they do this just in time, as Alex and Lena walk into the penthouse.
"Alex!" Kara says, and quickly rushes over to her sister and takes her in for a hug.
Alex hugs Kara back, wrapping her arms around her sister's body, and holding her tight.
"Alex, what happened?" Kara asks.
Lena and Kara then move Alex over to their couch, and take a seat either side of her, letting the redhead explain everything that happened, and everything that Sam said. Throughout it, Alex cries, which Kara and Lena both feel awkward over, because they have rarely seen Alex cry before. Kara then heads upstairs to sort Alura and Morgan out, while Lena gets Alex some water, before they both re-join her on the couch.
"Look.... Lena.... I.... I know you're in a weird position..... and.... I'm not expecting you to be on my side... or pick a side or anything.... I just..... I can't stay there tonight." Alex says.
"It's okay, Alex." Lena says, placing a hand on one of Alex's arms, "I'm not taking sides. You are clearly upset, that is what matters right now."
Alex nods her head in response, and Kara then takes her sister in for another hug.
The trio then sit there in silence for several minutes, just giving Alex the comfort she needs, but they are soon interrupted by Lena's phone ringing. Lena picks up her phone and sees that Sam is the one calling her, so she decides to take the call elsewhere, upstairs where Alex can't hear her.
"I need to take this." Lena says, and quickly gets up and makes her way upstairs, before answering her phone.
"Lena!" Sam answers, in a worried voice, "Alex isn't answering her phone!"
"Calm down, Sam." Lena replies, "Alex is here with Kara and I."
"Oh, is she okay?" Sam asks, still in a worried voice.
"She's just very upset." Lena replies, "She told us that you had a bit of an argument over money, and she said that some of the things you said to her upset her very much."
"I..... yeah...." Sam says, "I..... I don't know what happened. Alex came in.... and we started to talk about the shares in L-Corp I have.... but..... then I don't know.... the next thing I remember..... Alex had left the house. Ruby then came down and asked if Alex and I had an argument.... but.... I couldn't even remember having the argument."
Upon hearing Sam say this, Lena gets very worried.
"Alright. I'm coming over, I'll be there in a bit." Lena says.
"Are you sure? You don't have to." Sam says.
"Yes, I do." Lena says, "What you just described, a mood swing like that, where you can't even remember your argument, you could be having mini strokes or something. So, I want to come over and do some tests to make sure."
"Alright. What about Alex?" Sam asks.
"I think it's best if Alex spends the night here with us tonight. Let her clear her head, and settle a bit." Lena says.
"Okay. I'll see you in a bit." Sam says.
"Yeah." Lena replies, and then ends the phone call.
Lena then walks back into the living room, where she explains to Alex and Kara that she was just talking to Sam, and is going to go see her. Admittedly, Lena did think about lying, and pretending she has to leave because of something L-Corp related, but she doesn't want to lie to Alex.
"I'll be back in a little while." Lena says.
"Okay." Kara nods.
Kara then watches as Lena leaves the penthouse.
"Alex... I.... I hope all this isn't my fault." Kara says, "When I mentioned the shares..... I.... I never meant to stir up any trouble.... I just.... I only found out today.... how many shares Lena has.... and how much her net worth is..... as it's much bigger than I thought..... I just.... I thought you would have mentioned something to me."
"It's not your fault, Kara." Alex says, with a sniffle, "I don't think you were trying to stir up trouble at all. You were just asking me a question."
"Okay. Good." Kara nods, letting out a relieved breath.

Lena arrives at Sam's house about 15 minutes after leaving her and Kara's penthouse, and once she does, she quickly begins to run some tests on Sam. Thankfully, though, she doesn't find anything.
"Okay." Lena sighs, "So.... it doesn't look like you are having mini-strokes or anything like that. But tomorrow I would like to do an MRI of your head at The Tower. We can do it quietly. We won't tell Alex or anyone."
"Yes, okay." Sam nods, "I just.... it's weird.... not remembering."
"I know." Lena says, "There is a possibility that this has been all brought on by stress. I... I guess that would kind of make it my fault."
"What? How would it be your fault?" Sam asks.
"Sam." Lena says, with a sigh, "You have been doing so much more work at L-Corp recently, to make up for me not being there, and spending time at Lillian's bedside at the hospital. I know that must be so stressful."
"It's extra work... but it's nothing I couldn't handle." Sam replies.
"I know." Lena nods, "But, I want you to take next week off. I want you to spend the week relaxing and everything, okay?"
"But... what about the financial quarter meeting we are supposed to have next week?" Sam asks.
"Don't worry about that. I'll either have it pushed until the week after, or I'll handle it myself." Lena says.
"Okay.... if you're sure." Sam says.
"I am. I want you to get some rest and relax. I mean it." Lena says.
"Alright. But... what about Alex?" Sam asks.
Lena sighs.
"I think that's just really between you and Alex." Lena says, "You'll have to talk things through with her tomorrow, as even IF you can't remember what you said, Alex might believe that a part of you thinks that, so you'll need to work that through with her."
"Yeah." Sam says, in a shaky voice.
Lena and Sam sit there together for a while, until Sam eventually suggests that she go up to bed. Lena then says goodnight to Sam, before heading home herself. Once Lena returns home, she sees that everyone is in bed, including Alex, who is sleeping in one of the spare bedrooms. But Kara is sitting up in bed, waiting for Lena to get back.
"Lee, how did it go?" Kara asks.
Lena sighs.
"I don't know." Lena says, "Sam says she doesn't actually remember the argument where she said those things. She just remembers starting to talk with Alex about the money, and then Ruby coming down after Alex had left and asking if they'd had an argument. I ran some tests on Sam to be sure, and she seems okay. But tomorrow I'm going to do an MRI on her, just to be sure."
"Okay. Are you going to tell Alex?" Kara asks.
"No. Sam didn't want me to." Lena says, "I hope you're okay with not mentioning it?"
"Yeah. That's fine." Kara replies.
Lena then proceeds to get undressed, brush her teeth, and change into her pyjamas, before joining Kara in the bed.
"So.... what do you think is wrong with Sam? If she doesn't remember?" Kara asks, as Lena settles next to her.
Lena sighs.
"Honestly, I think it's stress." Lena admits, "I think I've put her under a lot of stress recently with all the work she has had to do. Too much stress can usually trigger extreme emotions. Usually Alex and Sam might have just had a little argument over the money thing, but because Sam is stressed, she might have blown it out of proportion, and got so angry and mad that she just overwhelmed herself and blacked out a bit."
"Hmmmm... okay." Kara replies, "I hope you are not blaming yourself then?"
Lena huffs.
"You know me so well." Lena replies.
"I do." Kara nods, "And I know a part of you probably feels guilty, because Sam had to do that extra work because you were with Lillian at the hospital. But you can't blame yourself Lee. You were being a good daughter, and being there for Lillian. If something had happened, and you were at work, you would have regretted it for the rest of your life. So, how can anyone blame you? Even yourself."
Lena turns and looks at Kara, offering her a small smile.
"You always know what to say." Lena says, lovingly.
"I do." Kara smiles, "It might be one of my super powers."
Lena chuckles.

It is now a few days later, and over the last couple of days, just like Lena said she would, she did an MRI on Sam, and thankfully found nothing. So, after this, Sam had to have the difficult conversation with Alex where she apologised for what happened, and said that she didn't mean what she said, and does trust her with money and everything, and promised to be more open in the future. Alex, for her part, simply accepted Sam's apology, and the two made up, and went home together.
Presently, it is Sunday afternoon, and Kara, Lena, Alura and Morgan are all preparing to have one last night with Eliza, who will be heading back to Midvale tomorrow. Eliza doesn't really want to leave, as she clearly loves spending time with her granddaughters, Alura, Morgan and Ruby, but she has been called back to work in Midvale, to help with some important research. Eliza does have a very flexible schedule with her work, and that is why she has been able to spend all this time down in National City these last few weeks, but the work she is being called back to do Eliza doesn't want to put off.
So, due to Eliza leaving tomorrow, Kara and Lena have made a decision that their whole family will spend a lot of time with Eliza today, thanking her for everything she has done over the last few weeks. Although, of course, Eliza has continuously claimed that she doesn't need to be thanked, but both Kara and Lena really appreciate everything the Danvers matriarch has done for them.
"You know.... if you wanted to spend more time with your granddaughters.... There may be an open position at L-Corp I could make for you?" Lena suggests to Eliza, with a smile, as they sit in the living room, drinking some alcohol, while they play a board game with the kids.
Eliza chuckles.
"I appreciate the offer, Lena. But..... as much as I love spending time with you all down here. I like the quiet life in Midvale." Eliza says, "I like that it's not in the middle of nowhere, but it's also not chaotic like the city. I'm too old to deal with the city chaos every day."
"Okay." Lena smiles, "Well, if you ever change your mind, my offer will still stand."
"Thank you, Lena. I appreciate that." Eliza smiles.
"Grandma?" Morgan says in a cute voice, turning to look at Eliza.
"Yes, honey?" Eliza smiles, widely.
"Can I sit with you now?" Morgan asks.
"Sure. Come on up." Eliza smiles.
Morgan then proceeds to get up off the floor, and sit in Eliza's lap, snuggling close to her. Kara and Lena just watch the sight, and smile widely, so happy to see how much Morgan is bonding with Eliza.
Kara and Lena have spoken to Morgan previously about Eliza, while being careful not to ask the 4-year-old anything that may alarm her in anyway. From what Kara and Lena have got out from Morgan in these conversations is that even when Morgan was back on her home planet, she didn't have any grandparents, at least not that she remembers. So, she very much likes having a grandparent now.
Kara, Lena, Alura, Morgan and Eliza continue to play a few more board games over the next couple of hours, having lots of fun and laughs. Eventually though, the afternoon turns to evening, and for Eliza's last dinner in National City, Kara and Lena order some take out from a nice fancy restaurant. Of course, usually Kara and Lena might take Eliza out to visit the restaurant in person, but seeing as it's a Sunday, and Alura has school tomorrow, they don't think that's a good idea, so this is the next best alternative.
"Oooooo.... This is absolutely divine." Eliza hums, as she tucks into her pasta dish.
"I'm glad you are enjoying it, Eliza." Lena smiles, as she eats her roast duck dish.
Meanwhile, Kara is eating a lovely steak dish, while Morgan and Alura are both eating multiple mini hamburgers. Kara and Lena did allow both Morgan and Alura to order whatever they wanted, but as soon as Alura chose to order the mini hamburgers, Morgan followed suit.
"This is nice too." Kara says, with her mouth full.
"Kara, don't eat with your mouth full." Eliza says, scolding her daughter.
"Sorry." Kara replies.
"You have no idea how many times I've had to say that to her too." Lena says, smiling at Eliza.
"Oh, I think I might be able to imagine." Eliza says.
"She's setting a bad example for her two daughters. That's what I keep telling her." Lena says.
Eliza chuckles upon hearing that.
"Hey! What is this? Gang up on Kara night?" Kara pouts.
"Yes, don't gang up on mommy!" Alura says.
"Yes, we love jeju!" Morgan ads.
Lena and Eliza both laugh after hearing the two girls say that.
The group all then continue to eat their food for the next while, having nice conversations with each other, before they finally settle down for the evening, and watch a film together.
"Girls, while grandma is still here, we thought we would talk to you about something?" Lena says, after pausing the film half way through.
"What is it momma?" Alura asks, turning to look at Lena, as Morgan is snuggled into Lena's side, while Alura is snuggled with Kara. Eliza is sitting on a chair to the left of Kara.
"Well, you both know that momma and I are going to get married soon, right?" Kara asks.
"Yes." Morgan nods.
"Yeah." Alura says.
"Well, after we do, about a week later, we are going to go on a two-week honeymoon." Lena explains.
"Yes! You are going to Hawaii! I remember!" Alura says, excitedly.
Lena chuckles.
"That's right, darling. But I don't think we have told Morgan." Lena says.
"What's a honeymoon?" Morgan asks, confused.
"It's basically a holiday that two people have, alone, just the two of them, after they get married." Kara explains.
"Oh." Morgan says, sounding sad by the sound of that.
"But momma and I know that you both don't like spending time away from us, so we thought we would make a compromise." Kara says.
"Yeah." Lena says, "We are going to Hawaii for 2 weeks, and on our first week just mommy and I will go on the holiday alone. But on the second week, you both will fly out to Hawaii with grandma. As grandma has offered to look after you during the week we are going to be gone."
"Originally, we did intend for aunt Alex and aunt Sam to look after you during that first week, but we think it might be better if you stay with grandma in Midvale. That way she can fly out to Hawaii with you both, instead of one of us having to come back, just to fly back out to Hawaii." Kara explains.
"But we want to make sure you are both okay with it." Lena says, "We don't want to do anything that you are unsure about."
Alura and Morgan then look at each other, before turning to look at Eliza.
"While you guys are spending a week with me in Midvale, we'll have a bunch of fun together. We'll go outside, and run about. We'll do painting, and drawing, and maybe even cooking. We can do whatever you want. We'll have a fun packed week that will probably go by really fast." Eliza says, "Then once the week is over, we will all drive to the airport, and get on a plan for Hawaii, then meet up with your moms there at the airport."
"Yeah, so how does that sound?" Kara asks, with a smile.
"Okay." Morgan says, in a bit of a timid voice.
"Good." Lena says, and places a kiss on the top of Morgan's head.
"Alura?" Kara asks.
"Yes, okay." Alura agrees.
"That's my girl." Kara smiles, and kisses Alura.
"What are we going to do in Hawaii?" Alura asks.
"Well, there is a bunch of stuff we can do." Lena says, "There are some beautiful sights we can see, including some volcanoes, some beautiful beaches, and even some beautiful hike trails and places that are in famous movies."
"Yeah, we'll be having a lot of fun, and relaxing." Kara says.
"And grandma will be with us the whole time. So, if mommy and I need to go off and do something alone, she'll be watching the two of you." Lena says, "But, we'll make sure to get all the stuff we want to do alone done in the first week."
"Yeah." Kara agrees.
"But I'll make sure we all have a great time together." Eliza smiles, "No matter if we are in Midvale or Hawaii, we'll all have fun."
"Okay." Alura nods.
Morgan nods her head also.
"Great, and now that that is sorted, there is something else Lena and I want to tell you." Kara says.
"Yes." Lena nods, "So, you know we went to visit a few houses about 2 weeks ago?"
"Yes, because you want us to move there, so Alura and I can play in more space." Morgan says.
"Yeah, that's it." Kara nods.
"Well, mommy and I have actually bought a house already. It's a really lovely place, with a lot of space and everything. But we are having it renovated, so a bunch of changes are being made. That means we won't be moving in for a few months. Likely about a month or so after the wedding." Lena explains.
"Does the house have a swimming pool?" Alura asks.
Lena and Kara chuckle.
"It doesn't have a swimming pool at the moment. But that is actually one of the things we are having built. We are building a nice lovely indoor swimming pool, which will also connect to an outdoor swimming pool. Then we are also having a few other things built." Kara says.
"Yeah, and we have a lot of space in the yard, where we can have some other stuff built too, including the jungle gym you requested, Alura." Lena smiles.
"Okay. As long as we have a swimming pool." Alura nods.
Kara chuckles.
"You would live anywhere, just as long as we have a swimming pool, right?" Kara smirks.
"No." Alura nods, "Anywhere as long as I'm living with you, momma and Morgan."
"Awwwww..... isn't that cute?" Lena smiles, lovingly.
"I only want to live with Alura, momma and jeju too!" Morgan exclaims.
"And you are just as cute as your sister." Kara smiles, lovingly, at Morgan.
After this, the family have a really nice rest of their evening, with Alura and Morgan saying their goodbyes to Eliza, seeing as they won't have much time in the morning.
