The excitement that Gildarts had brought over when he came had started to get blown over by now. I hadn't gone on Jobs yet, still enjoying the little break I had given myself since last week. I received some mail from Samara recently talking to me about the problems that Kingstrail family had given her own family had finally resolve itself and that Mui had stayed with her for a few days…
I smiled thinking about them so far and I made my way toward the guild this late morning, finding Gajeel there. The Dragon Slayer seems to be searching for something by the dumpsters, so I made my way toward where he, wanted to see what he was up to.
"Hey, Gajeel,"
The surprised him causing the guy to jump in shock smacking his head against the wall he was leaning toward and the Dragon Slayer tuned his attention toward me.
"What's the big idea…sneaking upon me like that?"
I blinked in surprised.
"I didn't sneak up on you," I told him, "You were the one that weren't paying attention."
Gajeel let out a sigh massing his head and as I observed him, I noticed scratchs upon his face. I leaned closer, recongnizing them as cat claw marks. How did this happen to him?
"Er…Gajeel, why is your face all scatched up like that?" I asked him.
"None of your business," he snapped before walking away leaving me staring at his back.
I blinked at his retreating back, raising an eyebrow. That was strange of him to have scratch upon his face and even stranger that he was digging out in this old parts. What could he have been looking for anyway?
Out of curiosity, I made my way toward where I have seen him looking and took in a few felines that were moving about. Streets cats, and from the look of it, they were quite a lot of them probably six or seven…
He got cat stracthes upon his face…what was he searching…?
I frowned to myself, trying to think about it but I couldn't come up for a reason as to why Gajeel would be digging out in the dumpsters so I simply shrugged my shoulders and continued my treck up toward the guild.
Then the sun started to get blocked out, drawing my attention toward the sky and I can see the dark clouds appearing above. They had been a few showers in the past week and now that it's mid November by now, I would have expected a few numbers of them. In Canada, it tends to rain a lot around this month before the snow moved in…
I wonder if Earth Land is similar in a way.
They were a few sound of thunder echoing above.
From the way that sounds, there is a huge storm coming, I thought, And here I was thinking of going on a Job today...
When I reached the guild it had started to pour, and I was almost drenched in a minutes. I made my way inside running a hand through my hair as I glanced at how the guild was. Everyone was still lazing about, probably having some changes of plans considering how hard it suddenly had started to rain.
I glanced around finding Lucy looking out of a window along with the rest of the gang, though all that was missing was Erza. I made my way toward them and took a seat before stretching out.
"Hey," the blonde greeted, "I didn't think you'd come in today with the rain and all."
"I was thinking of going out for a Job," I told her, "But the rain caught me when I was half way there."
Lucy smirked.
"That's explain the sword on your back eh?"
I patted the handle of RuneSave.
"Yeah."
Then I caught sight of something.
"Gray, what are you doing?"
The Ice wizard was holding what look likes a marker and was now drawing upon Natsu's snoring face and when he moved back, whiskers had been drawn on either side of the Dragon Slayer's face. I could feel myself chuckling a little. Drawing on people's face while they were asleep. Classic Prank.
"I thought someone with your talent will go for something more creative than cat whisker," Lucy said from where she sat down beside me.
Gray took that on as a challenge.
"Okay then, if it's fine arts you want," he said adding more upon Natsu's face.
When he pulled back, Natsu's face now sported two black round top upon his closed eyelids…similar to a panda, and he even had beard drawing around his jaws.
"How could he possibly sleep through that?" Lucy asked, surprised at how dead the young man was to the world.
I smirked to myself before thanking a waitress for bringing me a drink.
"Hey Natsu, there is food over there for you," I said, taking a sip.
The Dragon Slayer suddenly stood up in attention, startling Lucy who had been standing right in front of him..
"WHERE IS THE FOOD?" he yelled, "I'll fight you for it if I have to."
Lucy shook her head.
"Shocker, I should have known the only way to wake you up will either be food or fighting," she said, sounding not too shocked at all.
I chuckled shaking my head at his simplemindness. I sighed, leaning back into my seat, noticing how lazy everyone was being which was no brainer considering it was freaking raining…So bored…thought, Eflman seems to be tearing into Droy and Jet with a lecture about men…
"Okay, who is the moron who is dumb enough to draw on my face," Natsu growled, "Was it you Eve?"
I gave him a glare.
"Considering that I am not a moron," I said a small smirk growing upon my lips, "Then I couldn't possibly have drawn upon your face Natsu, but I'll give you a hint. He is as dumb as you."
"What the…That's uncalled for Eve," Gray said, glancing at me.
His reaction caused Natsu to zero on him like a missile targeted at something.
"Hope you're hungry Snowflakes," Natsu said, his fist lightening up with his fire magic.
"Listen up Panda Boy," Gray snarled, "If you don't like the graffitties, you shouldn't have harassed my eardrums with your obnoxious bear snore."
"You're going to wish I'd stay asleep," Natsu yelled back.
And they're at it again.
"That was mean Eve," Lucy said.
"That's what he get for calling me a moron," I told her taking a sip from my drink.
Lucy chuckled shaking her head. The rain outside wans't letting up thought but at the same time…I could feel something pressing upon the back of my head. I couldn't understand what it was so I ignored it.
Lucy turned away from the fighting duo and went to talk to Levy and I continued to watch them fight until they stopped tired and Gray walked away from him rubbing his face of the bruises he was wearing now.
"SHeesh, how much pent up energy does he have?" he asked.
But Natsu was already asleep, completely out of it.
"I wonder why he is so tired?"
When I finished my drink I stood up and walked away from where the guys were seating and ran into Erza.
"Hey Eve…I thought you'd left for the Job already," she said.
"Got here a little too late," I told her, "The weather just sprung up and now I am stuck inside of the guild and I am so bored."
Erza smiled.
"Why don't you sing a song," she said, "You could always give the guild some encouragement."
Erza had been urging me to sing in front of the guild ever since I gave her that little private concert a few weeks aback. I let out a pout, looking away from her.
"I told you already that I am not a good singer," I said.
"You were good when you sang to me," Erza told me, "Why don't you let the guild be the judge on whether if you're good or not."
I looked away from her, pouting.
"I don't wanna."
Erza chuckled.
"Hey Erza, come over here for a moment,"
It was Master Makarov. The man had a lot of papers all over his desks as he waved her over. The redhead gives him a nod.
"Well, I have to talk to the Master, so we'll continue this conversation later tonight," she said.
I smirked.
"Whatever you say Titania," I told her.
The young woman smiled before walking away from where I was. I shook my head at her and at the same time, I felt a sudden pressure upon my head causing me to falter a little leaning against a nearby pillar.
What the hell is going on? I thought, I've got a nasty headache...and it's not…
Then the pressure suddenly disappeared. I was surprised for a moment notice wondering that the heck just happened for a few seconds and then a soft glow came from behind me, drawing my attention. It was RuneSave from how it was glowing and then before I could even think about what was happening to it, the entire world turned white.
When I came around, I was lying down upon something soft. I opened my eyes slowly taking notice of something in goldlike color around me and I slowly seated up noticing that I was seating within a small version of my Heaven's Shell spell but it had music symbol upon the magic circle underneath me.
"Music symbol…," I whispered.
This magic…it feels like…but that's impossible…
Then it disappeared from around me and the magic circle benath me disappeared. I glanced back toward RuneSave on my back, noticing that it was still glowing with gold lights seeping from it and then it disappeared into the normal form it usually is.
Then, my attention was drawn toward the area around me and I felt my eyes widen. Bubbles were floating around me and where the entire city of Magnolia was nothing more than a flat unused place with clouds of dust blowing through the area similar to clouds.
"What the hell…," I whispered.
I glanced up toward the sky noticing the darkness above had taken a strange almost round like appearance along with the clouds.
Edolas, I thought, They have been sucked into Edolas…so that feeling I had before must have been the Anima's presence…
I glanced around myself, searching the area when a familiar voice reached my ear. I recognize it immediately and made my way toward where it came from.
"Hey, Lucy,"I called out.
The blonde reacted at my voice turned away from the clock in front of her. She looked scared and worried but there was a sign of relief over her features when she took me in.
"Eve…you're okay," she said taking me into a hug.
I was honestly surprised at that, but I returned it.
"Yeah, I am fine," I told her.
Lucy let go of me, "Do you know what had happened?"
I shook my head.
"I don't think so..," I said softly.
Suddenly I felt a magic presence and I turned toward it. Mystogan was there, the young man walking straight toward us and he wasn't even wearing his signature mask. His features were calm despite of what had happened around us.
"I'm glad that you two made it out alright," he said.
"Mystogan," I said, relaxing.
"Hello again Eve," Mystogan spoke with a light nod of his head, "I hoped that we met again under better circumstances."
"You…You're Mystogan," Lucy whispered observing the man with shock all over her features, "But you look exactly like…"
"I know," Mystogan told her, "But there is no time to explain Lucy, to save our friends, you will need to act quickly."
"Save them?" Lucy questioned, "What are you talking about?"
Mystogan looked up toward the sky drawing our attention towards it.
"All of Magnolia along with the wizards in Fairy Tail," he told us, "Were all taken into another world called Edolas…and probably they are all in mortal danger."
"Wait a second…They were taken into another world!," Lucy exclaimed, "That's the craziest thing I've ever heard."
Considering that this happened to me when I was only a baby, that doesn't sound so crazy to me, I thought.
"What's the plan?" I asked him.
Mysgotan glanced at me.
"I wish I had time to explain some more," he answered us "but we can't afford that luxiury. The entrance to Edolas closes. The two of you need to go to Edolas and find them."
"The two of us?" Lucy said, "You want us to go through this giant hole in the sky to another world?"
"More or less," Mystogan said simply, "While you are doing this, I will remain in Earth Land and try to find some more survivors…but before you go, you need to eat need one of these."
He had pulled out a small glass bottle and inside of it was filled with what looked like gumballs sized snacks….or maybe a tick tack. The man pulled out two of them and then gave one to me and flicked the other one into Lucy's mouth.
"Hey, what are you…"
"I'm sorry," Mystogan said, "But we can't delay any longer…make haste."
"You can't be serious," Lucy argued, "I don't even know where to start looking."
"Don't worry," I told the blonde, eating the thing Mystogan just gave me, "We'll work our way throught it when we get there."
"Good luck, the both of you," Mystogan said, raising one of his many staff toward us, one with a fan for top.
Then a purple glow enveloped both of us and then the next second we were shooting up straight toward the sky, aiming straight toward the giant hole in front of us. Used to flying, I was completely fine thought it was still a fast flight. Lucy, however, was flaling her arms around, yelling out in fear so I instantly grab toward her, taking hold of her arm.
"Calm down Lucy," I told her, "Flaling around isn't going to help much."
"But I am scared," she yelled out.
"Don't be," I smirked, "Remember what I said…you don't have to be scared all you need is confidence."
The blonde glanced at me and she gave me a small smile before nodding.
"Alright," she said, "You're right Eve."
I smiled back and then a sudden flash of line shone around us before it disappeared. It drew our attention and I looked straight toward the hole noticing another flash of light appearing around us.
"What's happening?"
"We're about to cross into Edolas," I told her, "Get ready…"
The light suddenly started to shine again but this time faster and faster before it grew so bright that I had to shield my eyes from it. I can feel Lucy taking hold of my hand and holding it tight and I returned the favor as we were both launched through time and space and into the other world...
Edolas, the world parallel to Earth Land, and the place which had kidnapped our friends.
Eve along with Lucy launches into the world of Edolas to search for their friends...A new adventure begins...
