Chapter Four
I'm Sorry I Didn't Trust You
3rd Person POV
iris walked to the stables as they walked in to see mia holding firefly's harness. pin pulled up and made eye contact with iris as she nodded at them . zoe was banned but iris wasn't. iris didn't lie, she didn't tell them she found him. she didn't accuse him of being a horse thief and they were friends
"iris hey you're here" jade said and they walked to the arena as marcus rode his horse and they watched. iris leaned against the fence as she watched with jade and becky
she looked up and noticed zoe and rosie standing at the gate but iris looked at marcus and he smiled at her as she smiled back
"remember, it's all about confidence in yourself and in your horse" he said and he got off as he led him out of the arena. iris looked around before seeing jade and becky walk to the girls
"hey i'm going to talk to pin, i'll be back" iris said and she walked away as she walked away. she walked in and saw ted with pin and she nodded at them as they nodded at her
she knew the sign and walked to bullets stable as she opened the gate and walked in. she walked over and pet him as she handed him a treat and pet his mane
"it's all gone to shambles isn't it?" she said and she laid her head against him as he turned his head and nudged her shoulder. they stood next to each other until someone cleared their throat and iris looked up from him to see pin standing there
"hey" he said and she smiled
"hi" she spoke and then she heard sam
"we need everyone in the paddock, that means you iris. you and bullets bonding time can wait" she stated and she led iris out of the stable and to the paddock where she sat down next to her sisters
" Welcome to bright field stables first ever pony cam. We are going to have fun and as writing is very hungry work, and we are very pleased to hear that our barbecue is up and running. Rosso going to really work on our service" she said and iris turned to see rosie walking over to mia but sam stopped her
"try to have fun r" iris called and she looked up to see marcus walking over to them. zoe made eye contact with iris and iris got up as she walked away and let them talk to each other
"iris you going on the hack?" pin asked and iris nodded as she walked with pin to bullets stable and walked in. she pet him and pin smiled
"you'll ride him one day, truly" he said and iris nodded as she sighed
"i hope so but we need a better level of trust" she stated and he nodded as he pet bullet with her
"however today you will be riding priscilla " he said and he grabbed her hand as he led her to priscillas stable and walked in. he tacked them up as iris pet her and she smiled
"she's beautiful" iris said and pin looked at iris as he nodded
"yeah she is" he retorted and she looked up at him and smiled before she led priscilla out of the stable and got on her with pins help. pin got on his horse and they walked in to see the others
"everyone ready? we're waiting for you" he said and zoe smiled at iris and pin together
"where's marcus?" mia asked and iris sighed under her breathe
"he's with the little kids. sams asked me to take the hack. come on" he exclaimed and he let the stables as iris followed after him and left. they started to ride as they got to the field . iris stayed next to pin as they rode next to each other
priscilla stayed next to elvis and nudged his head as iris looked ahead and stayed with pin. it was silent . pure silence for a while until zoe rode forward and started to talk to him
"becky, you're in charge" he called and he rode off as they all looked at iris
"go" they said and she rode after him as she followed quickly and closely behind. she held the reins as she rode through the trees and the forest. she got to the bedchamber and she looked around but she couldn't see him
"PIN" she called and she looked over the hill to see a house with pin and ted. she rode over as she got off and racked up priscilla
"your sister is very nosey" he said and she jumped before she laughed and nodded
"yeah tell me about it, what's in there?" she asked and she walked forward as she looked into the pen and saw a horse on the ground
"pin what's going on?" she questioned and she looked at the horse
"he's a moor pony. he's lane, i can't take him to the vet. he's the council's responsibility but they've no money to treat the wild horses so they'd put him down" he explained and she nodded
"the sedatives are for him" she stated and he nodded
"yeah, i understand why she didn't trust me but you. iris you have horse you know the pain of leaving it or losing it" he said and she nodded
"i'm sorry i didn't trust you" and he shrugged as he opened the door and walked in
"you trusted your sister iris, there's nothing wrong with that but you should go now. dad doesn't want me talking to you or your sister and now i understand why. just leave" he said and iris nodded as she walked away. she put her hat back on as she untacked priscilla and left
she felt her hair moving but she didn't care as she trotted with priscilla along the fields. she held her close and smiled as she leaned her head on her neck and sighed again
she let priscilla ride along to the stables. she ignored the others far away from the stables as she rode in, marcus looked up at her as she rode in. she jumped off of her and smiled as she walked her back to the stables and removed her equipment
"you're back early" he said and she shrugged as she removed her hat and held it in her hands
"i don't really want to talk about it, i'll see you around marcus" she exclaimed and she walked out as marcus watched her. she heard her mother
"IRIS TAYLOR PHILLIPS, I TOLD YOU THAT YOU CAN NOT RIDE BULLET AND YOU DISOBEYED MY RULES AND NOW , YOUR SISTER IS RIDING WHEN I TOLD YOU BOTH NO. WE ARE LEAVING RIGHT NOW" she yelled and iris sighed as she looked at the ground and zoe looked at her as they both at the ground
"can we not fight mom?" she asked and her mom scoffed
"you are never coming back here, we are leaving. say goodbye you two" she stated and iris wrapped her arm around rosie as they went home
she hated this, she missed kansas. she missed home
she wanted to go home
