Chapter 1241

Bo Jiu was just about to approach when the subtle twist of the door lock sounded behind her. In that instant, she turned off the computer screen and leaned against the table, pressing the main unit with one hand and using her phone with the other.

That was the scene Li Jin saw when he entered the room. The youngster had her head lowered, her fingers moving slightly while her dark hair was covering her lids. She seemed to be playing aggressively, with the soft background music playing.

It was the hottest new game. The people around Li Jin were playing it. He lifted his gaze towards Bo Jiu before turning towards his bookshelf, trying to look for traces of any movement. He seemed to be waiting for Bo Jiu to expose him.

Li Jin had a gentle appearance, his skin white and clean. He wasn't tall and judging by the dark circles under his eyes, he seemed to have poor quality of sleep. His eyes were deep but soulless, like a malnourished child who often stayed up late. He fell silent, so quiet he seemed like someone that was easily bullied.

Bo Jiu glanced up, a lollipop in her mouth. When she saw someone enter, she straightened, looking as though she was caught off guard. "Li Jin? Err, Auntie let me in since it is raining."

Li Jin remained silent, keeping her uneasiness in mind. He glanced down, shielding his emotions.

Bo Jiu glanced out the window. "Is it still raining outside? I'll be going if it isn't."

"It's still raining," Li Jin replied.

Bo Jiu laughed. "I guess I'll have to seek shelter here then." He was lying. The sound of the rain had stopped, so how could it still be raining?

Bo Jiu leaned back to her original position, her fingers moving across the screen. She continued to maneuver her character. "Are you playing? Want to set up a team?"

"Not playing." Li Jin sat in front of the computer. He seemed to be moving at random but in reality, he was checking.

Bo Jiu saw everything. She kept up her pretense as a gaming addict and had even turned up the voice command. "Retreat on the order, don't go that way, turn back..."

Li Jin closed the hanging calendar on the wall silently and turned back towards Bo Jiu but since she was still gaming, he didn't say much.

Just then, the sound of plates crashing was heard from below. Bo Jiu suddenly raised her head, just like a normal guest would. She walked towards the door. "Where is the kitchen?"

Li Jin remained silent as though it was a common occurrence. Bo Jiu was starting to suspect he was incapable of showing emotion on his face. He did nothing but standing there stationary. There wasn't a hint of emotion on his face even though the noise became louder.

The quarrel became clearer. "Don't you even know how to serve plates? What else do you know? It's fine that you are useless but why did you have to bring that money wasting thing back?"

"Stop it, there are guests..." The woman lowered her voice.

The man inhaled deeply, turning to take a good look at Bo Jiu and Li Jin. He arranged his collar, probably not willing to embarrass himself in front of others. Drenched in the smell of alcohol, he made his way upstairs.

Bo Jiu felt awkward standing there. Hence, she stopped playing her game. Li Jin, however, walked towards the woman, his voice as emotionless as before. "He hit you again."

"Little Jin, what are you saying?" The woman eyed Li Jin, seemingly reminding him that they had a guest. "Your dad just has a bad temper and had some drinks."

Li Jin watched her with a blank stare. "He is drunk 24 days a month, which means you would be beaten during that 24 days."

The woman hurriedly added, "It's only when he drinks, when he doesn't drink..."

"He isn't bad when he isn't drinking," Li Jin interrupted. "But he will pick on me sarcastically over dinner."

The woman held onto her son's sleeves, wanting him to stop.

Li Jin lowered her lids, watching her. "You still aren't going to divorce?"

The woman remained silent. She wanted to divorce but there were too many considerations. Moreover, he was really not bad when he didn't drink.

"It seems like you enjoy being beaten," Li Jin replied, a whirl of emotions pouring out from his eyes. There was hatred, pity, fear, intolerance, and a hidden darkness.

With a slam, the door was shut. Bo Jiu and the woman were the only ones left in the living room, the air silent and still. Fragments of the broken plates could still be seen on the ground.

"I must seem very useless." The woman reached out to cover her face. No mother would want her son to hate her and she knew her son saw her as someone useless.

Bo Jiu wanted to tell her that she wasn't useless. She was selfish and weak. Her unwillingness to divorce was selfish as she was afraid of losing her current lifestyle. With a man around, she could use her child as an excuse, which was the most hurtful. She wasn't doing it for anyone else but herself.

But everyone dealt with it differently. If she was Li Jin, she would beat her father into submission whenever he took action.

When he had been young, he might not have the ability to retaliate. But now, even as a high school student, there was still fear in his eyes. He didn't have the courage to stand up against his father and would speak harshly towards his mother.

It seemed very contradictory as he seemed to hold danger but yet, he was weak and useless. It was probably due to his environment.

Bo Jiu had a bad feeling. His mother's answer seemed to have affected his decision. What sort of decision would it be?

As Bo Jiu's gaze dimmed, the woman wiped her tears. "Look at what I'm saying. I'm really sorry you had to see that."

Bo Jiu shook her head hurriedly. "The rain has stopped. Auntie, I'll go off now, you shouldn't think too much into it..."

Behind the door, inside his room. Li Jin's hatred deepened when he heard the noise outside, his thick fringe covered his eyes, which held a faint glow. The next second, he pulled out his phone and sent a message over. "What's up with the new transfer student?"

Chapter 1242

Soon, his phone vibrated.

"The transfer student? He seems rather approachable and is already in the class's chat group."

Li Jin read the reply and replied with three words. "Is that so?"

"Wang suspects him?" The few girls in the class regarded Li Jin as Wang but they didn't know his true identity.

Li Jin glanced over at the computer and his typing slowed down. "He seems overzealous?"

"He's alright. Just now when the teacher instructed him to pass the information to Li Jin, he agreed."

When Li Jin saw his name appear on the screen, he grew cold. "If that's the case, he can become the new joker."

He hated when others saw him in a bad state. Li Jin would never forget how they had bullied him, banging his head against the wall. Thereafter, he had realized that humans were social creatures, blindly copying others.

As long as there was someone they could bully, they would all swarm over.

Li Jin still remembered the time he had handed the teacher the footage he had recorded. Back then, his teacher had called the parents from both sides. But because the bully's father was an official in his county, his stepfather gave him a slap and his mother had to apologize to the bully.

After that exposure, the bullying had intensified. They had even pulled off his pants. Since then. Li Jin had never gone to school again. Instead, he had approached them with another identity.

All of them wanted attention. Hence, that was what he gave them. Gradually, they started to make comparisons, twist facts, and lie. They had to wear branded clothes regardless of their family background and claimed ownership over anything they liked. If someone else came to ask for it, they were considered petty and as having loose morals. Such people were easy to control.

Until this moment, Li Jin had managed to control their behavior, which was where the term joker came from. The joker would be the next victim ostracized by the entire class.

Li Jin chose the clown according to their wishes; the people they had always wanted to deal with but couldn't because of their status. He would send out the joker card.

Everyone avoided getting the joker card but none of them thought about leaving the group chat because they enjoyed the feeling of being in a group.

Choosing the transfer student was a last-minute decision.

Even if there wasn't anything wrong with him and nothing in his room had been moved, he hated when someone's appearance broke the balance...

Since he was a sensitive person, Bo Jiu had a feeling she was targeted but she didn't panic. She was just targeted and hadn't been exposed. Li Jin hadn't suspected her yet.

The people from the police probably wouldn't have thought to investigate a high school student. Even if they looked into him, it would probably be from a victim's point of view, which would give Li Jin sufficient time to execute his plans. But how did Li Jin get to know Kawang? And how did he contact Kawang?

This information was essential because the moment she uncovered the two points, perhaps, she could uncover Kawang's identity...

Bo Jiu held the steering wheel with one hand, her face tilted. She toyed with her lips as she processed the situation, a habit of hers. Suddenly, Bo Jiu stilled, remembering the words Li Jin's mother had said...

Chapter 1243

"My husband and I are usually too busy to take care of him, which may have affected his growth and his physical health. He is always in the school clinic and has skipped the morning run entirely. I'm worried he's keeping things to himself and might end up doing something silly."

The school clinic. Bo Jiu straightened and turned the steering wheel suddenly.

She finally realized the familiar smell on the school doctor when he had approached her. It was a chemical that was only used when soaking corpses. He wasn't an ordinary school doctor! Everything made sense now. This was the reason she had felt sleepy during their chat.

Kawang specialized in hypnosis. The short duration and the interruption had probably caused his attempt to fail.

He disguised himself as the school doctor. On the outside, he pretended to treat the students. A student was less guarded when they are sick. With Kawang's skills, it would be a piece of cake for him to execute his hypnosis. He should be well versed with the dynamics of the students, choosing an intelligent one to set up the group. Thereafter, he wouldn't need to do anything else, watching from afar as the students started to change.

Dealing with such brainwashing techniques was tricky because it would be difficult to determine which one of them isn't affected.

Time was crucial. It wouldn't be long before someone was influenced by the people around them. Gradually, aggression would become a habit followed by vanity. They would twist facts against anyone who affected their vanity.

When all the students were brainwashed, the school would be unsalvageable. Those that were defected from the roots would be radical, a terror to society. The extent of their impact would always remain a mystery.

Bo Jiu sped through the streets. The passersby watched as the beautifully curved black Lamborghini sped into the campus. The school guard watched in shock since there was no way he could stop a car driving at that speed.

Bo Jiu pressed her earpiece. "I found Kawang."

"Kawang?" Young Master Tang stilled, catching on quickly. "He's on campus?"

"Mmh." Bo Jiu added, "It's totally unexpected, he disguises himself as the school doctor."

"It is indeed unexpected, explains why there wasn't any issue with any of the teachers." Young Master Tang continued, "Don't act on your own, wait for reinforcements..."

Du... du... du...

The youngster had ended the call and the man reached out to caress his temples. Without wasting any more time, he immediately contacted his local men.

There were too many people on campus. If they were alerted about a dangerous fugitive, there would definitely be panic and distress. If controlled poorly, it might make things worse than it already was.

Kawang's biggest threat was his psychological hypnosis. He had plotted his scheme unknowingly, without anyone noticing, and there was no way to find out who was affected.

If she was too obvious, it would be easily noticed by the other party. When the time came, all the students on campus would turn into his hostage. Hence, she had to keep a low profile in order to catch Kawang!

Bo Jiu moved swiftly under the light rain, droplets smashing onto her uniform but it didn't affect her. Her hair was damp, attracting the attention of the passing students since she was indeed blindingly handsome. Moreover, they found her familiar but couldn't seem to figure out where exactly they had seen her before.

Bo Jiu didn't stop moving, her hands moving to the side, a military knife hidden in her sleeve. When she reached the clinic, she slowed down.

Being with the Almighty made her understand a lot about psychology. Psychologists didn't just analyze one's mental state, even one's breathing would be taken into account.

Bo Jiu waited outside for three seconds before entering. At this hour, there weren't many people in the clinic, especially during such a gloomy and rainy day. There wasn't anyone else other than the school doctor.

Today, it seemed quieter than usual. Other than the hospital beds and a pen on the table, the entire clinic was empty.

Bo Jiu slowed, she turned and stuck her back to the wall, pulling open a curtain. There wasn't anyone in the lounge area either.

She strolled the clinic twice before returning to her original position. Just as she was about to reach for an application form, a light laugh came from behind her. "Which class are you from? Why are you here at this hour? How are you feeling?"

Bo Jiu stilled, turning back. "Headache, I probably caught a cold."

"It's you?" he asked as he sat down, a thermometer in his hand. "Seems like our new school hunk is rather weak. Let's take your temperature first."

Bo Jiu watched his gentle face. He brought the thermometer over naturally, placing it in her mouth.

The thermometers nowadays were more advanced and didn't have to be placed under her armpits, a narrow escape from being exposed.

"How did you catch the cold?" He glanced down at his phone, a message coming up. It was about the youngster in front of him. A member of Supreme Alliance?

He stilled slightly, breaking into a smile. When he glanced up, the curve of his lips twisted. This was the person Fan Jia had told her about, the person Qin Mo couldn't let go? Could he considered to be lucky or not?

Although the hair color wasn't the same and there were slight modifications to her face, Kawang never saw someone for her appearance, which was the reason he got someone to look into her. He hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise.

Since she was here, he wouldn't let her go.

Kawang lowered his stethoscope, breaking into a wide smile. He glanced down at his watch. "It's about time, pass me the thermometer."

Bo Jiu passed it over with one hand, her face calm and quiet.

Kawang smiled. She was indeed an expert in disguise. If he hadn't had a faint impression of her, he would have been deceived. It was impressive for a girl to disguise as a male so perfectly. What a pity she met him.

Kawang glanced down, his voice warm and soothing. "You have a slight fever, 37.9 degrees. I'll get you some medicine."

37.9? Bo Jiu pulled her military knife over without him detecting. He was indeed a born liar.

"Thank you, Sir." Bo Jiu sat down without hesitation.

Kawang laughed lightly. "No worries."

Cold medicine would make her drowsy, making it easier for him to hypnotize her. Since she was Qin Mo's beloved, she would definitely be given preferential treatment. Being betrayed by his beloved was definitely more painful than finishing off Qin Mo.

Kawang lifted his hand, swirling the cup in his palms before passing it over to Bo Jiu.

Drink, drink it all and you will turn into my puppet.

Fan Jia had managed to uncover her identity. Hence, Kawang saw her as a little kid that overestimated herself. He could use his usual tactic on her.

The next series of actions caught him off guard. The instant she reached for the cup, she turned, splashing all the water in his eyes. Everything happened in a flash. Bo Jiu stood up, pressing against Kawang's neck.

When Kawang detected the pain, he narrowed his eyes, a hint of shock flashing through. But very quickly, he masked the emotion, breaking into a light smile. "Not bad, with that speed, you must have already suspected me but none of it was seen in your behavior. Qin Mo may be useless but seems like he still knows a thing about psychology. Even the people around him seem smarter than usual. But do you think you can capture me so easily? Hehe, seems like Qin Mo hasn't told you not to expose your back..."

Bo Jiu couldn't help turning. The next second, someone smashed a chair at her head. She flew into action, pressing the military knife. With a large step, she kicked.

With a thud, the person fell to the ground. Kawang made use of the opportunity to escape. The person on the ground curled up in pain but still shouted, "Sir, run!"

It was the girl that was bullied, Sun Jianing. She held onto Bo Jiu's ankles, hatred and malice seeping from her eyes. "I'll take the lead tomorrow. You're the new joker. Do you know how important this is to me? I was appointed by Wang. I created that group and those who bullied me will pay. Everyone will start worshipping me again, giving me attention! But you chose this moment to break the rules! You deserve to die, you deserve it!"

Bo Jiu looked into her eyes. She was no longer human. In order to fulfil her own vanity, she had started to rot when she caused harm with love as an excuse. It had nothing to do with age. Her selfishness triumphed over everything else.

Bo Jiu grabbed her, a smirk on her face. "I'm not like the Almighty, I can beat women."

Peng!

Another sound pierced through the air. Bo Jiu pushed her aside, running towards Kawang without a second glance. But it was too late. There wasn't anyone in sight.

Kawang was gone but the psychological suggestion was still there. That made the entire situation more dangerous. It was just like a ticking time bomb; no one knew when it would go off...

Chapter 1244

Bo Jiu wore her Bluetooth earpiece, setting up the equipment she had prepared beforehand. Her first reaction was to locate Li Jin. He hadn't moved and was still at home.

The listening device she had stealthily planted on his computer remained silent. Kawang hadn't contacted him? Had she made a mistake?

Bo Jiu shut her eyes, Li Jin's hanging calendar coming to mind. That red circle. No, there wasn't anything wrong with her deductions but there had to be something she had missed. What exactly was it?

Bo Jiu tightened the grip on her phone. Since her identity had been exposed, there wouldn't be any reason to remain in disguise. She tapped into the information, a glint flashing through her eyes.

A teacher walked over, asking which class she belonged to and why she wasn't at night study during this hour.

Bo Jiu held onto the railing and jumped into the field. The railing was about a meter high, her uniform floating upwards when she jumped.

The teacher: ...

Bo Jiu didn't turn back, bolting into the classroom. At this moment, everyone had received Li Jin's message. The new transfer student was the next joker. Some were surprised, some frowned, some weren't willing to participate, and some were extremely excited. Regardless of how they felt, they had to follow the rules.

A few of the insecure boys were ecstatic since the youngster was so cool and handsome and they couldn't wait to see her fall from glory. It was also a good chance for him to know their school culture. Everyone was thinking of ways to prank Bo Jiu. When they saw Bo Jiu coming over, they eyed each other, one of them reaching his leg out, hoping to trip her.

No one expected the youngster to raise her leg and kick the chair, sending the boy and his chair toppling over.

Everyone watched with wide eyes. A girl took the opportunity to splash water at Bo Jiu but was pressed down onto the classroom desk. In that instant, the classroom fell silent. Everyone watched as droplets dripped from her hair, trailing down her chin.

The youngster reached out, holding onto the wrist of another attacker who was about to hit her with a baseball racket. She kicked, sending the person flying. The baseball racket landed in her hands.

Bo Jiu didn't bother restraining herself. She raised the baseball racket, pointing at the crowd. In an indifferent tone, she asked, "Anyone else wants to fight?"

No one dared to move. Even if they were hypnotized, the five of them in the room were afraid. One of them was crippled, the other four's condition wasn't clear. What was this youngster's identity, why could he fight so well? From the information they had received, Bo Jiu was just an ordinary student.

"Not fighting anymore?" Bo Jiu held the baseball racket, her lips lifting into a smile. "I don't really like fighting either."

The three defeated students on the floor: ...

"Since you aren't fighting, let's have a chat." Bo Jiu stood on the stage since having a wall behind her back was safer. "I heard you have a Wang?"

When they remained silent, Bo Jiu toyed the baseball racket. "Does being bullied and controlled by someone else make you that happy? That makes you really stupid. After you enter the society, MLM organizations will probably like you very much since you'll be duped rather willingly."

"What did you say!" The girl hated when people spoke to her in such a manner. Her face was flushed with anger as she spat, "Who do you think you are?"

Bo Jiu replied very slowly, "I'm nobody. I'm not your parent nor your teacher. I don't have a responsibility to teach you how to behave, which has its perks since I'm allowed to beat you."

The girl was stumped, unable to say another word. Someone stood up. It was the class president. "What kind of guy bullies a girl?"

Bo Jiu laughed lightly. "To me, bast*rds aren't differentiated by gender."

"You can leave if you don't like our class." The class president pushed his spectacles, smirking.

Bo Jiu glanced up towards the hanging clock. "You're probably the one leaving."

"What do you mean..." Before he could finish his sentence, the classroom door was kicked open, masked special force students barging on.

The class president wanted to hold someone hostage but the special force soldier wouldn't give him the chance.

The other four students were also pointed out by Bo Jiu. "Take them." That was right, Bo Jiu's actions had been in order to buy time and divert their attention so that they couldn't do anything else. At the same time, Li Jin and Sun Jianing were also arrested.

The others were harder to take down even though there were some still involved in the bullying. If none of the victims spoke up, it was a tricky situation.

Their operations had been swift. The students hadn't even processed the situation when it had ended.

"Your Wang will disappear as well." Bo Jiu didn't leave, she was still on the stage, half seated on the baseball racket. Her eyes glowed. "Let me ask one more question, do you really enjoy being used?"

The girl seated at the back row clenched her fists. "How dare you say that Wang made use of us!"

"Because all the things you did brought harm to others. Would a good person allow you to do this?" Bo Jiu raised her eyes, her gaze deep. "Everyone is selfish, it is in our nature but don't be so stupid. You are a student. Don't you know what a student is supposed to do? Read more books, at least that will give you some intelligence. Your parents spent money for you to study, not to flaunt or bully others. Do you know what your parents are worried about? They are worried that you don't have enough pocket money, that you would be embarrassed in front of your peers and that you would be bullied. In order to gain attention, you stab others in the back, acting without a conscience. If you don't find yourself particularly intelligent, you can study harder to improve, to become more outstanding. Make a few genuine friends when you're still in school and play games with your parents when you're lonely. There are many entertainment options but you choose to gather with such negativity. Hasn't your Wang ever told you? Only a dirty, stinky rat behaves in such a manner."

"You, you!" The girl was so angry her shoulders were trembling.

Bo Jiu remained indifferent, interrupting her. "You can't outtalk me."

The girl: ...

Chapter 1245

Some of the students below wanted to laugh at her last sentence because there weren't many people like her around.

"Hahahaha." One of the round-faced girls burst into laughter, her laughter growing louder and louder. When she stopped, she stood up. "I didn't want to but I don't have a choice. I wanted to stop the bullying every single time but do you know what's the consequence? I would end up being the next victim. I was afraid and I believe anyone else would be as well since we aren't like you, we aren't strong."

The girl assumed the youngster would be filled with resent, talking back as she had previously.

Instead, she chuckled. "There is nothing wrong with your considerations, which is when you need the collective effort of the entire class. Don't forget that you are a class. In my impression, no one is allowed to bully people from my class regardless of their grade or their size. If I can't beat them, there is still strength from the entire class behind me. We are not together to bully anyone but to tell others they aren't allowed to bully us. The class has to be friendly to each other, the boys should protect the girls, standing up for them. What's with bullying one person? If you stood up for the person, they might end up liking you. Yes, aren't you students a fan of heroes saving a damsel in distress? If you actually tried it, you might actually get attached."

"What do you mean by 'you students', you're acting as though you aren't one." A boy caressed his nose, before asking, "Is it really useful?"

Bo Jiu said slowly, "You can ask the blushing young lady beside you. If you really have no idea, you can read more romance novels to understand a young girl's heart. But of course, a young girl generally looks at appearance."

The students couldn't help it, bursting into laughter once more.

The few special force soldiers exchanged glances, before finally turning towards a man wearing a suit. "Captain, he..."

"Psychological counselling, what we have detected is a psychological case. It's clear that these students are mentally ill. Some of the students in this class may be incurable but there are also some who weren't willing to turn into a monster. Haven't you realized that the atmosphere in the class seems lighter than before?" The figure walked steadily, a smile on his face. "It's just so strange, I never expected to see the cold-hearted and ruthless Z counselling a group of students. She wouldn't have said that in the past. Seems like Qin Mo's existence has softened her edges. "

The special force soldiers: ...

That youngster crippled three students and was teaching them to date while they were young? Captain, are you sure she had softened and was not causing trouble for the school?

Perhaps, only that figure understood the intentions behind Bo Jiu's words. She had managed to temporarily avert the crisis breakout.

In psychology, there was a golden period for treatment. Of course, there would still be a certain type of existence amongst the students. Those that harmed others even though they were well aware of the effects. Their expressions gave them away.

Kawang left with such ease probably because he knew the time was right. He just needed a little hypnosis for the seedling to be planted in their hearts. Thereafter, he could kidnap them easily, taking them as hostages.

They had to figure out the source of his hypnosis. If they didn't solve it, everything before would have been in vain as there were so many students in the school. Even if just one of them was hypnotized, the consequences would be beyond their imagination.

That was indeed Kawang's plan. But what he hadn't expected was for his identity to be exposed by a high school student prematurely. If someone hadn't arrived in time, he would have been caught. This made Kawang, who was already on the off-road vehicle, squint. His fingers slipped across the screen once more, the pain in his legs prompting a smile as if he enjoyed the feeling. "If you die in that school, Qin Mo won't be what he is now. It's such a waste of her intelligence, destined to perish in that school."

Until this moment, Kawang still wasn't aware Li Jin had been caught. But to him, it didn't matter even if every one of his chess pieces were caught since the key to the hypnosis wasn't in their hands. Whatever was meant to happen would happen. No one would realize anything and no one could stop it, unless Qin Mo went over. But it was too late.

He enjoyed such a feeling.

The sky was completely dark. It was early in the morning and the sun would raise in a few hours. Kawang leaned back, darkness creeping into his gentle looking face.

Meanwhile in a special interrogation room, the big lights were jarring. Li Jin glanced over at the youngster, his eyes wavering slightly before he asked, "How did you do it?"

Bo Jiu arched a brow. "What?"

"You must have moved something in my room. How did you make everything seem untouched?" Li Jin had a pale complexion which made him look malnourished. "No, perhaps I should be asking, why did my mom allow you into my room and for you to stay for such a long time?"

Bo Jiu lowered the files. At this juncture, Li Jin was still concerned over such questions. Kawang was indeed skilled at choosing his victims. "It's simple, if there was someone outside, your stepfather wouldn't be able to touch your mom."

Li Jin paled, his fingers tightening around the cup.

The soldiers outside the interrogation room watched with curiosity since they had interrogated Li Jin for seven hours and yet, he hadn't answered any question. There hadn't been any change to his emotions and he had claimed he wasn't sure of anything they asked.

He was the scariest sort of criminal to be interrogated, the kind that wouldn't let on anything, even the tiniest detail. He was so small but yet, he managed to make them feel suffocated. They had their hands tied.

But just a few words from the youngster were enough to invoke some sort of emotion. It was a good sign in the interrogation room since his resistance was also a message.

Li Jin looked over and laughed, shouting at the air above, "I can tell you that I'll give you the information you need if you release me now."

Chapter 1246

The officers in the station exchanged glances. It was obviously not a fair exchange but even if it wasn't fair, they couldn't just reject him because he held the key to the safety of the entire campus. This might just be a small city but even if it was elsewhere, none of them could take on the responsibility if something really happened. They needed to hold an emergency meeting.

"The criminal investigation managed to find some evidence. Li Jin may hold some key information, no one can be sure what would happen if we don't accede to his request. I won't be able to imagine the consequence if the incident from three years ago were to happen again."

"But if we let him out, it's akin to releasing a lion into the mountain."

"Can we get someone to follow him?"

"The criminal investigation side had thought about it but Li Jin is evil and scheming. He isn't just looking to be released. This boy is extremely crafty, he might be requesting to be sent across the borders. Only then would he be willing to tell us by text what exactly Kawang left behind."

"Which means we might not get the information."

"Yes. "

The person in the middle caressed his temples. "Let's take a vote. How many of you agree to let him go and how many aren't willing?"

No one moved, none of them willing to make a decision since it wasn't something that could be treated so lightly.

Time trickled by.

Li Jin broke into a wider smile than before when he was first arrested. This smile matched against his pale complexion was an uneasy sight. The more he behaved in such a manner, the more worried they became because they weren't certain how many students like Li Jin were there on campus.

There were too many they couldn't find, or maybe there were some who concealed themselves. For the first time, they felt helpless. It was an indescribable feeling.

One of the inspectors leaned against the wall. He was probably exhausted. He tilted his head and lit a cigarette. "How did the students nowadays end up like this?"

"It's probably due to the environment they were brought up in. Eat something, we still have two hours before the sun rises. I'll be watching." The police had sent out their men to watch the campus to prevent anything unexpected from happening.

Li Jin remained indifferent and could even smile at this moment. "Our teacher told us about the way you guys deal with cases. You would always try to prevent things from happening but it's useless. Regardless of how many arrangements you make, you can never win our teacher. If you don't wish for a large-scale suicide, you better do as I say. Release me and I will give you the news you want." Li Jin's voice could be heard from the meeting room.

Everyone's face fell, anxiety spreading through them. More importantly, they weren't sure who released the news online. Claiming they were trying to save a group of mentally ill students and would even release a criminal for their sake. It didn't take long for the comment section to fill up.

"This isn't the first time it happened to this school. I can't imagine such a school exists. Are the students there normal? Such students would probably cause harm when they enter society. I don't think it's right to release a criminal to save such students."

"It's better if they just die off, I don't understand the need to be concerned."

"That's right, he deserves to go to hell."

The comments section exploded, with many commenters voicing their frustration. The investigation team was at a loss, facing immense pressure from both the people and their bosses.

Just then, the person seated in the middle made a decision. "Inform the officers to release..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a voice came through the speakers. It was from the interrogation room, the voice even toned. "Li Jin, stop this, you have no idea what Kawang plotted."

"Is that so?" The officers in the meeting room started to move.

One of them, a man dressed in a suit who hadn't spoken the entire time stood up. "Doesn't hurt to listen."

One of them wanted to criticize his impudence but the moment he saw the man's face, he swallowed his words. Wha-what was Young Master Tang doing here?

Inside the interrogation room, Li Jin was caught off guard. He tightened his hands. "Why don't I know? I'm the person Wang trusts the most. He entrusted me with everything and had even allowed me access to the spies he had planted in class. If you don't release me, just tell me straight, it doesn't matter to me anyways."

"Li Jin, there's a limit to your lies." Bo Jiu walked over, her eyes gleaming. "I took another trip to your room just now and you don't seem to know much about hypnosis or you wouldn't be reading about the basics. We both know, if your Wang really cares for you as much as you claimed, he wouldn't have left by himself. You are indeed more useful than the others since you are smart but regardless of how useful the chess piece is, you are still a chess piece. Someone like Kawang would keep his secrets to himself, why would he tell a chess piece anything? I'm afraid the only thing you know is that something would happen today. Other than that, you are clueless. Since you know your teacher so well, do you know where he comes from, what he has experienced and what business he is meddling in?"

Li Jin laughed, his expression starting to look tight and forced. "Why should I tell you?"

"You don't know," Bo Jiu replied slowly. "If you really knew, you wouldn't be acting in such a manner. You are just trying to buy time so that everyone's attention is on you and that they can neglect other messages, allowing the hypnosis to take place without obstruction. There was something you were truthful about. It doesn't matter if you can leave this place because your greatest wish is for those that bullied you to be sent to hell. You hate your mother. You find her weak and useless and you have been trying to escape her influence. You should have been happy in the past since you became the decision maker, holding other people's fate in your hands. The students who once looked down on you are now afraid. You enjoy the fear you brought upon them. It is everything you ever wanted."

Chapter 1247

The entire meeting room fell silent. They wanted to take action when Li Jin's sudden laughter broke the silence. He was on the verge of insanity, his hands pressed down on the table, the greenish tint beneath his eyes appearing more obvious than before. "You are right, I want them to be afraid, they are useless alive. What do you even know? They ruined everything. Don't they deserve to die? All I wanted was to study in peace but what did they do? They kept mocking and ostracizing me. Isn't it because I was easy to bully? They can all die! And you, aren't you the same as I am? Don't deny it, your thoughts aren't any lesser than anyone's else. You don't seem to have any intention to save those people. According to Sun Jianing, you almost kicked her to death. It seems like you aren't any different from I am. We both don't see any reason to save them so why hide your inner desires?"

The entire meeting room fell silent, with some walking to stand.

Bo Jiu continued, "Indeed, they aren't worth saving. For instance, Sun Jianing. Whether she dies or not has nothing to do with me. But there are so many people on campus who remained silent because they weren't sure how to react in such a circumstance. They wanted to help you but weren't strong enough. You have to understand and accept their need to protect themselves. We have the same views but our actions and principles differ. I would never inflict harm on so many other innocent lives just to punish a few garbage people."

Li Jin watched the youngster, sitting back slowly. His voice quietened as he said, "No one wanted to help me. Even my mother had kept my bullying under wraps to please her current husband. A young master like you with both parents would never understand how I feel."

"I studied in a high school overseas." Bo Jiu shared her childhood, her voice even toned. "At that time, foreigners would discriminate against Chinese. Moreover, I didn't have parents. Many people tried to find trouble. In China, we were at least of the same height and fights wouldn't be as violent. I was the same as you were, I didn't have friends and there wasn't anyone who stood up for me since I was the only one with black eyes and black hair. But so, what? Were you going to call their parents after getting beaten? Or are you going to cower in fear whenever you see someone stronger than you are, failing to even protect your own mother. It isn't hard to deal with being ostracized. If they weren't going to talk to you, don't talk to them. You don't have to force yourself to join a group you don't belong in, being at their beck and call. That would just make them despise you even more. If no one cherishes you, can't you cherish yourself? How old are you? Do you still think the world is as peaceful and perfect as a fairytale? The rule for survival is simple, here." Bo Jiu reached out and tapped his spine. "Regardless of what happens, keep it tall and straight."

Li Jin couldn't describe his emotions. He felt a shock run through him, he reached out his arm and shield his eyes, his shoulders trembling. In a hoarse voice, he spoke, "I know you want my words as evidence. You are right, I'm just a clueless chess piece but it's too late."

Chapter 1248

Li Jin's words made everyone's heart sink. Bo Jiu was probably the calmest out of everyone because Li Jin was right, they had the same views. Those who had never experienced those things would never understand what it meant to be helpless. When faced with injustice, law would seem too far away and violence the quickest solution. They had thought about retaliating but their voices would be drowned out.

Those who committed evil had one common trait: their love for vanity and their ability to twist facts. This had nothing to do with age or influence, it was how they originally are. Those who pushed the blame to others were just looking for an excuse.

The reaction to such despicable people was the key. Those bast*rds didn't deserve to be forgiven. Likewise, one should not be blinded by hatred.

You could strive to be stronger and could even look into the mirror, asking yourself in what areas you could improve. It might be a change in personality, the way you spoke, or your weak mental health.

Environment shouldn't always be the first excuse in times of difficulty. A person's living environment depended on the amount of hard work that was put in.

The students in the campus probably didn't think they were doing much but there were many others who weren't aware of the impacts of their action.

For a very long time, she wasn't sure either and had even forgotten her father's words. She believed there would be someone giving her a hand when she reached the lowest and darkness point in her life. If no one had come to reach out, what would have happened to her?

Bo Jiu was familiar with darkness but when she gradually came through, she understood what she had to do. Even if the kindness landed onto someone undeserving.

"I never believed that the world is filled with light but I believe I can create light." Before she left, she gave him some parting advice. "And everyone else is the same."

Time was tight in the interrogation room and there wasn't any useful information from Li Jin. The only lead they had was from Bo Jiu. She believed the hypnosis would activate today but the source had yet to be uncovered. Moreover, it wasn't very convincing since it arose from Li Jin's intuition. None of the others understood why the youngster was believing a criminal's gut.

"Alright, even if we believe, what can we do next? Tell the parents to look after their kids?" Someone caressed his temples. "It's not realistic, there are too many students in the school. Some of their parents aren't even in town and even if they were, we have no idea how Kawang intends to spread the source. It would just cause negativity and fear, making the students feel uneasy and their mental state more unstable. When the time comes, the situation would just worsen. Who is going to take the responsibility?"

Bo Jiu laughed, a hint of mockery in her words. "At the end, you're just worried about taking responsibility?"

"You!" That man's face changed instantly.

"I will." The man in the middle spoke up. "I'll take all the responsibility as long as we can save the students. But it isn't the right time to inflict any more pressure on the kids, you should know that releasing the information isn't a good idea."

Indeed, it would just cause the danger to spiral out of control.

Bo Jiu stood up. "I'll look for other clues." That was their only option.

It was 6am and none of them had slept, flipping through the files repeatedly while some of them were watching the students to look for any differences. Everything seemed normal and even the psychiatrist hadn't been able to detect anything.

From 6am to 7am, all the students staying on campus had finished their meals and those that had classes were already in school. Of course, there were latecomers. But regardless, everything seemed to be going smoothly. What could happen?

"Did he get it wrong, is it perhaps not today?" One of the officers in disguise tapped his colleague, asking in a hushed voice. He signaled for him to watch the youngster, who was seated beside the driver seat.

The youngster held an iPad, two footages playing. One was of Li Jin during his interview and the other of students who were looking at the school doctor. Kawang had been careful, his face barely appearing, all of which were far shots.

Students were playing outside the car. Indeed, there wasn't anything amiss. Was she thinking too much into it?

Bo Jiu shut her eyes. Probably due to her lack of sleep, her nose felt blocked and her head was heavy. She felt sleepy and her emotions were heavy. Suddenly, she dreamt about the past when she had been at home and the Almighty had explained a physics question. "With some minor adjustments, any question can be solved using the same formula."

"Oh," she had replied lazily since she had never been a fan of physics and was more interested in him. "There are so many points, it's giving me a headache."

He had held his face, tapping her forehead. "Regardless of how complex the question is, you just have to remember, find out his true intentions. Everything else is a distraction, you dummy."

Di, di, di, di!

A piercing sound interrupted her thoughts and Bo Jiu opened her eyes. "We seem to be blocking someone's car."

"It's 8.10am, all the students should have arrived, let's move the car."

Bo Jiu's head still felt heavy, her breathing becoming painful. She lifted her head and drank a mouthful of water. That was when she remembered, this body wasn't very healthy. Fortunately, she could deal with it. The water passed through her throat, soothing the uneasiness.

Bo Jiu glanced out the window, the previously boisterous school gate was now empty. The guard began to shut the gates. The dream from before seemed to have invoked a thought.

Bo Jiu tapped into Li Jin's recording once more, the words from before repeating in her mind. "Find his true intentions."

Suddenly, Bo Jiu paused the video on the moment Li Jin mentioned "Large-scale suicide."

No, that wasn't right, this wasn't Kawang's real intention. Kawang wanted hostages who came to him so that he had a guarantee.

Large scale...

Large scale!

Chapter 1249

With a swoosh, Bo Jiu pushed the car door open and leaped out. "Follow me."

Her sudden movement startled the driver, his head covered in cold sweat. He had just wanted to move the car.

The people seated behind eyed each other, pulling the door open to chase after her.

The meeting room could hear their operations and when they heard her voice, they couldn't help straightening. "What happened?"

"We're not sure, he just suddenly jumped out of the car." The police were thoroughly confused by her actions.

At this moment, the school gates were already closed but Bo Jiu leaped over without hesitation. She was still wearing the school uniform.

The guards came running over when they heard the commotion, watching the youngster and two other men jumping over the gates. The guards froze in confusion when the two men showed their police identification. What was happening?

The pre-screening announcements were being made, instructing the students to grab their chairs and to find a seat in the area allocated for their class.

It wasn't loud and it seemed as though the arrangements were almost complete.

Bo Jiu continued to speed up because of the words large scale. Even though hypnosis could be done at any time but if it was large scale, it would be during the screening today whereby the entire school would gather together.

Kawang had never intended to hypnotize them individually. If that had been his intention, he could have done it anytime.

They would lose their value the moment they were gone because during such a large-scale chaos and trampling incidents, even the police wouldn't be able to make sure the hypnotized students didn't just run off amidst the mess. It was a massive scale and if everyone went in the same direction towards a criminal, the police wouldn't be able to shoot.

That was what he had planned. He wanted everyone to know he had control over these hostages from outside the borders. He wanted everyone to know that regardless of who embarked on the mission, they would have to save the hostages first because they were still children. And the only way to stop everything was to stop the contents from showing!

Bo Jiu ran towards the source of the sound. At this moment, the sound had started to play along with the images shown.

From afar, the teacher playing the video wasn't sure why there was a student running in his direction. He frowned, taking her for a late student.

Bo Jiu glanced over, regardless of how fast she was, she would need at least a minute before she could reach the room the video was airing from. There wasn't enough time if she ran.

Moreover, the teachers around making sure everything was in order were walking towards her. Because of this, they didn't even notice some small movements made by the students as they watched the images being played.

It was an ordinary movement and there wasn't anything bad with the movie being played but all these reminded Bo Jiu of that famous hypnosis case.

At the beginning, the audience felt excited from the drumming. They would start making small movements but as the drumming continued, they started losing the ability to control themselves. Some of them would be overwhelmed by frustration and restlessness. Eventually, they felt a pressing need to leave the grounds, which led to a massive stampede. It was an exact re-enactment of that case!

Chapter 1250

"Student..."

The physical education teacher had walked over with both hands on his waist, probably about to instruct Bo Jiu back to her seat. There wasn't much ventilation in crowded places. Unexpectedly, Bo Jiu paused to wear a mask.

She glanced up, tossing her military knife onto a pillar beside the screen. It was the main power source. The volume from the film was very loud, which distracted the students. None of the students had seen her, with only a handful of teachers witnessing her actions.

With a loud "Pa!", the screens went blank, the entire field falling silent. The students felt as though their thoughts had been yanked back. The students blinked, glancing over to their friends.

"What happened?"

"Is it a power outage?"

"I'm not sure, did the power trip?"

The entire field broke into a noisy chatter. Some of the students stood up, trying to find out what happened, some were playing games on their phones with their heads lowered, and there were some asking their friends for snacks. Even though discipline wasn't enforced, they still remained in their seats. Perhaps some of them questioned the anger and frustration they felt just seconds ago. They rubbed their chest in confusion as the restlessness had disappeared.

Over at the side, the physical education teacher was on the verge of explosion. He shouted, "You rascal! Do you know what you just did?"

It wasn't easy for him to have gotten the chance to lead the film event but he had actually allowed such a blunder to happen. His probation period was most likely going to increase... Geez!

The physical education teacher raised his arm, grabbing his hair in frustration. Bo Jiu laughed. Such a teacher was undoubtedly adorable. Regardless of their profession, there would definitely be people of various natures. Some education professionals were willing to do anything for the sake of money.

Similarly, there were some who chose the profession in hopes of becoming a good mentor. They would often find ways to get along with the students of this generation, hoping to lead them in the right direction.

The Almighty had been right. Everyone had the same look in their eyes. It was about what you were looking for.

But cutting off the electricity in front of everyone was a challenge against the school's prestige. The discipline master walked over.

Just then, the police officers dressed in civilian attire ran over, one hand on his knees, and another hand showing their police badges. Both of them were breathing heavily. "H-he is our colleague."

The discipline master widened his eyes, glancing over at Bo Jiu. This child was wearing their school uniform and he looked so young. Was he really part of the police force?

"There is something wrong with the movie you are screening, how many of such films are there in your school? Destroy every single one of them and never play it again. I'll take the sample." From certain angles, Bo Jiu wasn't willing to be associated with the force. She belonged to the triad and it wasn't good to be on such terms with her natural enemy.

"There is something wrong with the film?" The teacher in charge of the films was startled. Everything seemed fine, there weren't any rated images. What was the issue?

The two police were embarrassed since there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the content. Was the youngster overreacting?

Chapter 1251

The officers tugged onto Bo Jiu's sleeves. "Are you sure there is something wrong with the film?"

"Definitely." Bo Jiu spoke in an even tone. "Disperse the students, send them back to their classes. Separately, send some psychiatrists, those who are better at their job, to run some tests."

The officers didn't persist since their bosses had instructed them to follow her orders. Even though they had no idea where she came from, there was no choice in the current circumstances.

With a little explaining, it wouldn't be hard for the school to cooperate. The students had secrets in their hearts as they could see the news online. They just dealt with it differently. Some of them saw Li Jin as an ingrate. They gave him a chance by bullying him and yet, this was how he treated them. Some were terrified since even those timid ones wanted to join in the fun. It would be better if they just treated others kindly in the future. Some wore their earphones and when they shut their eyes, they told themselves never to discriminate or bully others again. When they came across a chance to stand up for someone, they would be the one taking the lead. But none of them realized that the danger had already been eradicated by someone without them knowing.

The films were brought to the meeting room. Other than Bo Jiu, there were three other famous psychiatrists present. In the end, they had the same conclusion. There wasn't anything wrong with watching the films in the room but once a group of affected students watched it, there would be a huge problem since they were already influenced by a negative environment. Bullying and being bullied. Discrimination, vanity, and obsession to attention.

Those were their past, which was the root of the problem. First, there was footage which stimulated one's psychological perception. It was simple, everyone had varying views. The type of person you were, would influence your thoughts.

When the film was played, it took just three minutes for her to turn extremely violent since she had an aggressive nature and desired attention. Once agitated, there would be a strong backlash. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the sound coming from the film but if it was listened separately, the urgency could be heard, which would easily affect one's emotions.

If the power hadn't been cut off, the consequences were unthinkable. The three psychiatrists were thunderstruck by their conclusion. Anyone who had studied criminal psychology would have heard about that famous case from overseas. But such cases weren't common. How did such a young kid know about it?

Just as the three psychiatrists were about to ask her, they realized the youngster was missing.

The students were finally safe as the hypnosis was lifted. A local mental health organization spoke with the students. The students with signs of aggression, who didn't find any wrong with bullying and humiliating others, were dealt with by the law, being sent to the juvenile detention center.

Some may find it too harsh since the incidents had passed and they were just clueless children. But those over the age of ten who still weren't able to differentiate between right and wrong shouldn't be addressed as children. At the very least, a five-year-old toddler would already be able to express discomfort. Age was never an excuse to inflict harm on others. Besides, they weren't simply immature, they enjoyed ganging up to seize, possess, and bully. It was time they received retribution.

No one was a born murderer. But if no one cared, it would gradually morph into something more deadly. Those who claimed that things had passed probably said it out of kindness but sometimes, those naivety and kindness might become a criminal's accomplice. Those who had done wrong should be punished. It would be fair once they thought about those they had bullied.

When such a big case was resolved, someone would take the credit but that afternoon, the youngster was nowhere to be found.

At this moment, Bo Jiu had pulled off her jacket, tossing her uniform away. She changed into a black suit, her tall and straight figure completely different from before. She turned to the glass window, adjusting her tie. Few wisps of hair fell down her face, emphasizing her good looks.

The reason Bo Jiu had dressed in such a manner was because she had received a voice message from Young Master Tang. "Let me tell you a piece of good news as a reward for your successful case. It's news from the spies in MT. Even if you hadn't appeared, Kawang would still have gone back yesterday because of an extremely wealthy Chinese businessman that had suddenly appeared. I heard that the Chinese businessman is extremely generous with his money. He bought a massive yacht the moment he reached Country T and has purchased a large number of arms to protect himself while he bought the local goods. Of course, we aren't certain of his identity, with an intel claiming he is a wealthy second generation coming from an influential family. He has a capable and shrewd investment consultant working for him. Here comes the problem. Who do you think they are?"

She didn't have to guess. Prince was without a doubt the wealthy second-generation nouveau riche. As for the capable and shrewd investment consultant, he was most probably the Almighty. It was a good match with his calmness and indifference.

Bo Jiu wore her smart watch, her eyes bright when she entered the Lamborghini. She pulled the door behind her and entered a few words into the navigation system.

The navigation system perked up. "The address has been locked in, the entire journey is 800 miles. The petrol is sufficient."

"Let's go." Bo Jiu turned the steering wheel perfectly, completely unlike the student from before. She seemed like a wealthy playboy, with a hint of professional air from her suit.

The smart navigation system took the chance to inspect Bo Jiu's physical condition. "Master, your heart is racing. Hmm, something that made you so happy... Did you perhaps receive news from the devil?"

"Little Blackie, even though your intelligence isn't enough for certain circumstances, you are rather smart this time." Bo Jiu sped up, suppressing her smile. "That's right."

Little Blackie: ... It didn't see it as a compliment at all, it felt as though it was forced to accept her flaunt! Geez! If they really met, would they perhaps, ki-kiss in the car?!

Little Blackie flickered his car lights at the thought. Oh no, this car-hating universe!

Chapter 1252

Inside the yacht, some of the people training stilled when they heard a sudden phone ring. Qin Mo glanced over at his 'boss' and instructed him, "Pick up."

Prince looked at the screen and when everyone wore their earpiece, he picked up.

"Hello." It was Scorpion's number but the voice from the other end had changed. "I heard you wish to meet me for the business dealings."

Prince maintained his usual sloppy persona. "You are?"

"Kawang." Prince visibly stilled when he heard the name, a slight change in his expression.

"What is it? Do you perhaps not know who I am?" Kawang seemed to be studying and dissecting him, which created an invisible pressure.

Prince felt a chill run down his neck. If Boss wasn't seated in front of him, his fingers tapping the table, he probably wouldn't know how to react.

"Of course, I know you." Prince laughed. "I've heard of your name many times in the MT area, but I'm more interested in the quantity of your goods."

Kawang didn't respond. He glanced down, looking at the man that was beaten so severely he was on the verge of handicap. Kawang reached for a handkerchief from the man besides, wiping the bloodstains on his fingers silently. He turned on his back, wagging his finger.

"Ah!" A scream pierced through the air!

It wasn't just Prince, Magician and the others heard the scream and the pain that was seeping through. They froze. Qin Mo was the only one unfazed. It felt as though nothing would affect him.

Kawang chuckled. "Apologies for the noise, I was settling some internal issues. This time, the spy is a special force soldier from China. He actually thought I wouldn't have found out, geez..."

Kawang didn't finish his sentence but the painful shriek that came through the phone was enough to send images of the scene.

Prince clenched his fists, unable to control himself. Magician bit down on his gums. Everyone was enraged, including Wolf, who was usually emotionless. Prince couldn't take it any longer, tilting over, his breathing starting to grow uneven.

Qin Mo took the lead, muting the call. His gaze was dark and deep, just like a reassuring large rock. Prince prepared himself mentally and laughed. "Are they dumb? They have always been like this, we have caught a few from our side as well, tossing them into the deep sea."

Kawang continued, "I never expected to connect with you in this area but our methods differ slightly, I would never throw them into the sea. We would keep the injured soldiers as hostages. Don't you think his comrades would come and save them?"

Prince tightened his grip but he managed to keep up his pretense as a nouveau riche. "Who cares if they save them? That's your consideration, I'm more concerned about earning money."

Kawang laughed. "You're right, it seems like our cooperation will work out well..."

Chapter 1253

"I will send the address to your phone later. At that time, someone will bring you to inspect the goods specially. Please remember to prepare the first down payment." After he finished saying this sentence, Kawang hung up the call. He was still wearing the white gown. His eyes were looking at the screen of the computer and the follow-up stories.

The thing he had planned didn't happen. The important chess piece that should be calling him now seemed to have disappeared without a trace and the large-scale campus stampede was like the floating mist. It didn't even appear at all. What did it imply?

Kawang knew the answer clearly. This meant that none of those hostages he found would appear because those students didn't come to the borders and the off-road vehicle that he had prepared was useless.

At the start, Kawang had still thought that China suppressed the issue and didn't report it because they wanted to reassure their citizens. After that, he got the news and knew that there was someone who had destroyed his entire plan. The person had destroyed the plan that he had carefully prepared for such a long time!

Kawang's gaze slowly turned cold. Behind the pair of glasses, his eyes were like a snake. They gave off a sinister vibe.

The sun in the MT area was always very bright. But no matter how strong the sunlight was, Poison Scorpion could still sense the anger coming from the person in front of him.

With a thud, Kawang took his gun and gave one of his moles a bullet the moment he turned around. Then he smiled. "I didn't expect the person Qin Mo laid his eyes on to be so capable. But it's alright. Because of this person, we managed to get this useful information."

As he spoke, he weighed the communication device in his hand. In this place, anyone that contacted the outside world would leave traces behind.

He had purposely asked Fan Jia to lower her requirements. Surprisingly, he had really found the rat. He didn't know who had sent the message but he was very interested in the content of the message. After all, it mentioned the Chinese merchants. It looked like the other party was very concerned about his business deals. Did this also prove that there was something wrong with this bunch of people?

Kawang was a sensitive person. He immediately asked his men to catch the person who had spread the news for the Chinese merchants.

The moment he saw the person, he understood some things. The person denied that he had colluded with anyone even when he was about to die but Kawang didn't believe him. Of course, he couldn't deny that the Chinese merchants might be real. But if they were fake, Qin Mo must be among them.

Kawang smiled and raised his hand to wipe the traces of blood off the corners of his lips. If Qin Mo was really among them, this was a fair exchange of information.

That was right. When he lost his student hostages, it was the same as losing half of his initiative but there was another point due to which he had a clear advantage. He had already detected the other person's identity but the other party was still immersed in joy. The other party still thought that everything was going smoothly.

Kawang walked slowly to the front of the table and looked at the image on the screen. Suddenly, he smiled. "Compared to those students, you're the most valuable hostage. Unfortunately, I didn't tie you up. However, once Qin Mo comes, any information about you is enough to turn him into a different person. Speaking of which, I still need to thank you for letting me find you in the school."

Fan Jia didn't say anything. She was extremely familiar with this video. The person that she had been looking for such a long time had been found by her master first. This was a slap to her face.

"Go and make a video." Kawang's tone was calm. He seemed to have adjusted his emotions. He wore his white gown and walked slowly to the computer screen. "Edit the content of this video. It's time to let Qin Mo have a taste of what it's like to lose someone again. If the Chinese merchant is really him, the video you make will have its uses."

He didn't need to say things too clearly. Fan Jia almost instantly understood what her master meant. That year, she had pretended to be his childhood friend to get close to Qin Mo. But unexpectedly, he had seen through her disguise in less than ten days.

Even so, they had managed to understand what his weakness was. They had found the barrier and destroyed it entirely. Thus, they had planted a hypnosis in him.

Now, her master was probably attempting to activate the hypnosis. If that was the case, that person would have a total change in personality and become one of them. Thinking about this, Fan Jia couldn't control her smile anymore. Her eyes shone brightly. "I will prepare it instantly!"

On the cruise, Prince kicked the chair in front of him after he hung up the call. He was suppressing his emotions. All the people here knew what this feeling was. Another comrade of theirs was caught. They didn't need to think to know the kind of torture he would suffer in the hands of Kawang. It was impossible not to feel angry.

Now everyone was thinking about catching Kawang so that he would never have the chance to cause evil in this world anymore.

Only one person was sitting on the chair and listening to the recording of the call just now. He knocked his slender fingers against the table and listened to the recording three times before taking off his earpiece. His posture was tall and straight and his face was handsome. "Kawang is trying to rope you in. Every word he said is testing you. This is a problem... He's suspecting our identity and you almost exposed yourself."

Prince widened his eyes when he heard this. He didn't expect the problem to be so serious. He knew that Kawang seemed to be purposely trying to anger him but he didn't think about the rest too deeply. Now, after listening to Qin Mo, Prince lifted his hand and felt sweat covering his entire forehead. Kawang was harder to guard against than they had expected.

"If Kawang really suspects our identity, Boss, do we still go and exchange the goods?" Magician felt uneasy.

Qin Mo stood up. "Don't forget what our mission is. It's normal that we'll get suspected. Kawang is an over-sensitive person. In addition, no one will believe a Chinese merchant that just came into this circle. Report our situation to the higher-ups first. Fatty, check and see which army the special forces soldier belonged to and check if there's other tourist hostages. We need to see how we can save them."

"Yes."

The few of them split up and started getting busy with their own task.

In China, after receiving Qin Mo's message, the higher-ups called for a meeting immediately. The atmosphere of the meeting was tense. Acting or not; it was a difficult decision. Many times, we needed to make a decision, or rather, we must make the decision.

If they hadn't received this piece of news, they could take it that the Chinese tourists had all been massacred.

Now, they got the piece of news. Kawang had 17 ordinary tourists in his hand and the families of these tourists were all waiting for them to come home. They couldn't ignore their expectations.

But similarly, Kawang had already started to suspect Qin Mo and his team's identity. They couldn't bear to let those children continue this mission either. They were the top-class elite soldiers from the borders in the entire China and none of them was older than 25 years. Everyone knew that this might be a mission they would never come back from.

Not only was General Qin in the meeting, the old general was in the meeting too. It was too difficult for them to make a decision. It was indeed very difficult but all their other spies had died. This was the only team that was still surviving.

They were the closest to Kawang's lair. If ample preparations were made, once they got hold of the situation and located Kawang's exact position along with video evidence, they would have enough reasons to send their border troops out.

But all this could only be achieved if there was someone interacting with Kawang. If not, no one knew whether the 17 tourists, including the special forces soldier that Kawang had caught, were still able to remain alive.

This was the situation that everyone understood.

At the same time, Bo Jiu received two voice messages by Young Master Tang. At this moment, Bo Jiu was 500 kilometers away from the border of the country. She was driving her Lamborghini at a very fast speed and even exceeded the speed limit. Her eyes were extremely black. This was the first time they were so dark.

Bo Jiu knew that even without this meeting that person would make the decision to save those people. He would make the decision because he was wearing that uniform. In addition, he had once said that saving people was what the soldiers of China were born to do.

"Little Blackie." Bo Jiu turned and looked at the navigation board. She gave an order, "Call Hoshino for me."

"Yes, Master." The image on the navigation system changed and the internet connected automatically. It was no longer displaying the route. Instead, an image of a computer appeared. Next, Hoshino's handsome face with a light smile appeared in front of Bo Jiu's eyes.

He seemed to have just finished training as he was wearing the esports uniform and he still had the black colored earpiece wire hung on his ear. Bo Jiu was used to him wearing a woolen sweater so when she saw the sudden change, it felt like the breaking of dawn. "It's rare that you will directly video call me."

"Hoshino, I need you to look up a place for me." Bo Jiu tilted her head. Her eyes were glistering. "Use the entire power of the hacker's world."

Hoshino paused for a moment when he heard this. Then he smiled and said, "I understand. I'm the only person here. There's limited access too. Can I use your account to connect to the local area's network?"

"No problem," Bo Jiu replied directly.

Hoshino's gaze turned warm. When You Sixin pushed the door open and came in, this was the scene he saw. He knew who Hoshino was talking to without thinking. Hoshino even gave him a hand signal to ask him to go out.

You Sixin had tied his hair up behind him. He looked sharp and handsome and gave off a cold aura. Then he slammed the door. He didn't even take the cake he bought before this and instantly sat on his pure black Tomahawk.

The manager, who was following behind You Sixin, asked cautiously, "Young Master, what's the matter? Is Young Master Hoshino not around?"

"How can he not be around? He's being intimate with his beloved. He might not have the time to care about you. Why? Do you want to have a taste of my riding skills?" When You Sixin said this sentence, even the corners of his eyes were icy.

A man like this would really frighten other people. The manager remembered the last person who had tried to touch the young master's vehicle. He had broken this person's rib bone with a kick.

The manager hurriedly shook his hands. "No, no, no need for that. I'm just asking." Who had he provoked? He felt so innocent!

You Sixin didn't say anything else. He looked at the cake box that got thrown away by him. The more he looked at it, the more glaring it felt. Thus, he started his engine and accelerated all the way. His arrogance was like a ball of fire. No one knew who would get scalded by it.

Only Young Master Hoshino was able to make the prince of the mafia reveal his emotions. The manager sighed. He didn't dare to ask anything again.

Upstairs, Hoshino had already opened a laptop. As long as he had the command of the Young Lord of the Hacker World, it was very easy for them to find a location.

But the location they wanted to find this time wasn't simple as it was in the MT area, the ungoverned territory within the Golden Triangle. This place wasn't well-developed and there were dense jungles all around it. That meant that the communication was underdeveloped.

In places where communication was underdeveloped, the internet wasn't popularized either. For a hacker to hack into a place, they required the internet. It would facilitate their task. But here, the internet reception was too weak. If they wanted to hack into this place, they needed to find the right path.

They wouldn't be able to do it with just a few simple hackers. But Bo Jiu said that she wanted to gather the strength of the entire hacker's world. This meant that this hacking wasn't just limited to one path.

As long as there was a route, they would be able to hack into the place. It still required time though and the time was very long too. No one knew if they would be able to find the path before the young lord reached her location.

Hoshino told Bo Jiu about this question. The next second, Bo Jiu gave him a solution. "Try to start from the service provider."

Starting from the service provider meant that as long as there was signal, whether it was a mainstream network or not, it could be detected.

Many people said that hackers relied on their ability to program source codes and their decoding techniques. This was right but there was another point too. This was something that most people ignored. It was the path of invasion. The right path of invasion would save them a lot of time. Time, to a hacker, was the factor that would affect their success.

With the suggestion provided by Bo Jiu, very soon, all the hackers in the world started organizing their information and eliminating their choices. In the end, they found one location.

This location was to the west of the Mekong River. It was the biggest natural jungle. The last message from Kawang was sent out from this area.

Hoshino looked at the image and sent it to Bo Jiu. His voice became lower as he said, "This looks similar to the images in the video uploaded in the past. But you need to take not that the signal we found is on and off. Just a moment ago, all the communication in that area has been blocked. This meant that the other party most probably has signal interference devices installed there. Once you step into their territory, you won't be able to receive signals on all your communication devices. When there's no internet, your ability is limited. Z, you need to think about this carefully. It's not hard to go in but you have to think about how you're getting out. The helicopters from China won't be able to scan this place. Even if there's reinforcements later, they might not be able to land accurately. Unless..."

Chapter 1254

"Unless someone destroys the signal interference equipment." Bo Jiu interrupted him, her eyes dark as the night. "Hoshino, thank you."

The last three words were enough. Hoshino knew she had made her decision and similarly, he knew his duty as an aid: preparing everything she needed.

"I'll get someone to prepare your equipment before you enter the jungle but the security there is tight, our spies won't be able to stay long. You will have to pick up the equipment at a specific location."

Hoshino started entering into the region's map. The Hacker family didn't seem like much but they never lacked manpower. The old butler saw to it.

They could be supplied as long as there were people. It was a long-standing rule. Any organization that required information would turn to the Hacker family. And in turn, they would have to provide a certain form of guarantee. Of course, they would not concern themselves with life and death but they would always have equipment and supplies. It was an unspoken understanding.

In the past, there had been some who saw them as experts in the computer who were useless in reality. They had tried to break the rules and hadn't been willing to provide the necessary preparation, wanting to end their lineage. That organization had ended up perishing in less than a week.

The Hacker family dealt with information but that didn't mean they were weak. Everyone was well aware what sort of person Young Lord of the Hacker was. Unless absolutely unavoidable, no one would offend Z. Cooperation and a harmonious relationship were after all the result everyone wanted. This was the same principle in the MT region.

Just as Bo Jiu entered the forest into the area, the senior management made a decision for the operations to carry on. Qin Mo had taken the initiative because he knew the terrain.

Perhaps every special force soldier had been prepared when they had started off. They had to learn to overcome everything that would await them. They couldn't abandon a mission just because the stakes were high since that would go against the belief they upheld when they wore the military uniform.

Qin Mo glanced up towards his soldiers. These people had no intention of giving up. When they had heard about the Chinese comrades with Kawang, their first reaction had been to save them.

Qin Mo drew a range on the map. "According to the information we have and from Kawang's personality, he will choose his nest as the point of transaction. The most crucial point is that no one knows the specific location of Kawang's nest. We have to buy as much time as possible during the negotiations."

"We won't be able to get signals in that area." Fatty frowned. "How are we going to retreat?"

Qin Mo lowered his pen, his voice toned evenly. "This is the main point. We won't have any reinforcements during this mission. We have to depend on the adaptability and wits of every member. We won't be able to predict or prepare for the unexpected occurrences after entering his nest. My disguise will be thorough since Kawang recognizes me. From today onwards, Prince, follow behind me and show that you are afraid. It isn't surprising for a useless rich second generation to have an intimidating older brother."

Chapter 1255

Show that he was afraid of the devil? That didn't require any effort.

But he would never have expected to have a brother like him.

Prince tried seeing him from Little Black Fellow's angle. Their boss may be fierce and imposing but he had always doted on his younger brother, which meant he could do whatever he wanted.

Prince was still too young and naive.

Just as he was about to hug the devil, expressing a younger brother's love for his older brother, his boss turned to glare at him. A chill ran through him. "No physical contact."

Prince blinked. "Who else can I express my brotherly affection?"

"I will suppress you harshly, which is also a way brothers behave," Qin Mo replied slowly.

Prince: ... Couldn't he dream for a while longer? This wasn't how Boss and Little Black Fellow interacted! He gave him water and even carried candies in his pocket just for Little Black Fellow! And when they disagreed, he would laugh and caress his head! Why was he subjected to suppression and harshness?!

"Reduce your baggage." Qin Mo glanced over, his long fingers tapping the table. "Judging from Kawang's personality, he won't bring us to the destination immediately. According to the map, we have to take a boat. He will blindfold us before that and after we alight from our vehicle. When the time comes, our equipment might be discovered so we have to take special care to convert all internal communication devices into our watch and to use it as the only communication tool. Jackets are a must, especially Prince's jacket. Magician, you'll have a new habit."

Magician was confused. Qin Mo tossed a deck of poker cards he had prepared. "You'll be playing poker cards at every moment. Magic tricks shouldn't be an issue for you."

Magician glanced down at the Ace of Hearts in his hand and immediately knew his boss's intentions. Poker cards could be used as a weapon. If they weren't allowed to bring the conventional arms in, they could bring unexpected items to defend themselves.

"Fatty is in charge of tracking. You won't be able to follow us after we meet up with the man Kawang arranged. You'll track our location and provide the live updates of our location to the camp."

"Yes."

The meeting room could hear Qin Mo's instructions. It was three hours away from their meeting with Kawang. They had to be prepared within the stipulated time frame. Kawang was already suspicious, so if they made adjustments to the time, his suspicion would only grow. This time, luck played a part in their mission. They didn't have to worry about their disguise though because Magician's makeup tactics were comparable to Bo Jiu.

In less than half an hour, Qin Mo turned into a completely different person. He no longer looked the same as before, now bearing slight resemblance to Prince but with a more overwhelming and imposing aura. He had a short stubble and a scar near his eye, making him look more manly. There were no signs of his previous self.

Moreover, Qin Mo had a natural aura, which made him feel more like a triad boss than the real deal. Once again, Prince was convinced he had entered the wrong industry.

The clock showed 3pm. It was time. They prepared to take action. Just then, Prince's phone rang – it was a known number.

Chapter 1256

Prince stilled while Qin Mo glanced up, signaling for him to pick up the call. Prince accepted the call.

Kawang's laughter came through, which seemed gentle and elegant. "I'm really sorry, my side received news that someone leaked our meeting location. I'm still looking into who leaked the news."

Leaked? How was that possible?

Prince wanted to question it but Qin Mo moved before he could react, signaling for him to cancel the meeting. Cancel?

Prince wasn't sure if he had understood the signal correctly but when he saw his boss's face, he understood what he had to say. "Since there's an issue, let's put off the meeting. Find whoever leaked the information and kill him. My connections are still in place. If someone has indeed been informed of the meeting, I'm the unlucky one. My brother definitely won't forgive me. He's beside me right now and was lecturing me just seconds ago, calling me dumb."

"That's harsh. Don't worry, as long as we are dealing in MT, everything will be safe unless your side leaks the information." There was a hidden meaning beneath his words. He laughed, adding, "We won't be able to meet at the previous location, I'll send you a new one."

Prince didn't agree immediately, instead, he pretended to be worried. "Are you sure it's safe?"

"You can inquire around, those who are sincere in doing business with me won't face any issue." Kawang smiled.

Prince was finally reassured. "Alright, send me the address, I'll go over with my brother."

"Sure." Kawang hung up, the smile still on his face.

Scorpion heaved a sigh of relief. He was afraid Kawang would detect something amiss since he had been supportive of the deal and any mistake would look bad on him. No one had reported a leak in the meeting location. The intentions of Kawang's phone call was obvious, he wanted to change the location naturally to catch them off guard so that any issue could be surfaced.

"Thus far, they have been behaving like an ordinary buyer and that includes their worry." Kawang's eyes dimmed. "We will have to take a look after meeting them, I won't be convinced until I meet them face to face."

Yes." Scorpion began the preparations.

On the other side, Prince started to break out in sweat when he finally realized Kawang had been testing him. If he had gone with his instinct to question the leak, it would obviously go against how a buyer would react.

A buyer's concern was straightforward, regarding the safety of the transaction, the quantity of the supply, and the profits.

Kawang's every sentence had a deeper meaning. It seemed like their boss was the only one who could handle it. Prince finally understood why their boss was in charge of the mission because anyone else would fail the psychological test, leading to a team annihilation.

The change in location was another sign of Kawang's suspicion. Qin Mo knew he wanted to catch them off guard and had maintained his cool, adjusting his attitude to ensuring that their plans were still in order.

Just as they had planned before, there were three cars. Fatty's car was much less muted and hadn't started off immediately after the first two cars started off. Since they were in the MT region, Qin Mo had taken into account the spies in the area.

"Boss, there's a car following us on at nine o'clock." Hunter frowned. He turned the steering wheel, tilting his head to look at the reflection in the rear mirror.

Qin Mo appeared to be resting. "It's normal, continue to drive. Fatty, is anyone following you?"

"No, as per Boss's instructions, I started off three minutes later and it is indeed peaceful," Fatty reported while adjusting the rear mirror. He watched at the order of car models on the viaduct.

Qin Mo's car was the first to pass, next was the man that Kawang arranged to watch Qin Mo and behind them all was Fatty. It was an extremely brain intensive method.

There was someone seated in the car. The psychiatrist was probably the only one aware of the reasons behind their boss's accurate prediction. Ever since the call had ended, he had been continuously doing up psychological profiles of Kawang. It might all seem extremely smooth sailing but in reality, their boss had already entered the war zone way before any of them.

The psychiatrist wasn't afraid that their boss would make a mistake. Instead, he was worried about Boss's mental state...

With a swoosh, the car door opened and Scorpion walked over. Sending Scorpion was a sign on Kawang's sincerity.

Scorpion thought that the familiar Prince would be seated at the boss's seat and hadn't expected to see someone else. He arched a brow. "This is?"

Prince glanced at his boss cautiously as though he was afraid. Compared to before, he appeared at a loss. "My brother."

Scorpion lit up in enlightenment. The real boss had arrived.

"Hello I am Scorpion. I have long heard of your great name." Scorpion extended his arm.

Qin Mo appeared entirely at ease, his aura strong and overwhelming. "I heard my consultant mention you."

Scorpion was convinced there wasn't any issue with this business.

"Why isn't your consultant here today?"

"He has some accounts to look over."

"I see." Scorpion didn't probe any further, lifting a piece of black cloth. "I'm afraid you will have to cooperate."

Qin Mo didn't agree immediately, his impatience obvious. He frowned. "What is the meaning of this?"

Sometimes, when they behaved strongly, the other party would soften. And that was how Scorpion was behaving. Since he seemed wealthy and could do business, their future cooperation would definitely rake in massive profits. He couldn't afford to offend him over trivial details.

"The checks have tightened recently, it's the rules of the road. First timers have to enter blindfolded since there are many plants planted inside. It would all be gone if the location is exposed. I hope you will understand."

Scorpion could be ruthless and likewise, he could be eloquent and convincing. He was the sort they had to guard against. Kawang had thought it through when he had sent him down.

Qin Mo turned. "I have always cooperated with my business partners but this is the first and last time I have to be blindfolded."

Chapter 1257

Scorpion could hear the warning in his words and immediately took a stand. "Of course, once we profit, you will be one of us. You have to forgive me this time though."

He remained polite but his grip stiffened. He lifted the black cloth and circled his eyes three times before everyone was sent into pitch darkness.

Nothing could be seen. They didn't even realize when someone ran a detector around them but they could sense it. Especially Qin Mo was aware of what was happening.

The person in charge of scanning them shook his head, reporting that everything was alright. Scorpion remained silent, pointing to his ears. The person understood his intentions, pretending to sweep the detector past Qin Mo when in reality, he was testing for a communication device.

The alarm didn't sound, meaning they were in the clear. Scorpion immediately laughed. "Come, come, the car is here."

The five of them entered the car, Wolf holding onto the capital deposit.

Even though they were blindfolded, Qin Mo's overwhelming aura couldn't be ignored. Scorpion watched with satisfaction, signaling the driver to move but he hadn't noticed something.

Qin Mo tilted to his side, his fingers tapping his watch lightly. Signal activation success.

Fatty flew to the keyboard immediately and started to type aggressively, in order to zero in on their location. Finally!

Fatty heaved a sigh of relief, as the red dot activated. At the beginning, he hadn't thought much of it but after travelling a distance, he realized they were going in circles.

Fatty was starting to worry, thinking of a way to alert Boss but he didn't have to because Qin Mo had noticed they were travelling in circles. Perhaps other special force soldiers weren't this outstanding in this area but Qin Mo was different. As a criminal psychologist, he was extremely sensitive and observant of his surroundings.

It wasn't just through his sight, sometimes, he would make use of his sense of hearing and touch. The same vendor could be heard three times. It wasn't just the shouting from the vendor, the number of times the car turned was the same as well.

Qin Mo glanced over. With his eyes covered, he looked extremely harmless but in reality, both Psychiatrist and Magician were well aware that the moment Boss entered an operation, he would never stop analyzing.

Time was tight since they had a business dealing. Scorpion made another round, a small one this time. Soon after, the car stopped.

"I'm afraid we have to take another transport." Scorpion made sure not to leak any information in his words but it wasn't hard to identify this place as the smell of water was heavy in the air.

Moreover, there was a shake whenever they walked. They were obviously on a boat.

Tu-tu-tu...

The noise was enough for Qin Mo to identify the transport mode, it was the sound produced by a small speedboat. It seemed like they weren't far from their destination.

Qin Mo moved his fingers. When the speedboat moved, droplets fell onto his hair. With his eyes covered, he was so calm he seemed like a guest. Scorpion was thoroughly convinced.

Right at this moment, there was an issue over at Fatty's side. Suddenly, there was a network error!

Just a second ago, Fatty was still tracking their location using the network connection, the red dot following the operations team. But now, everything had disappeared! They couldn't be located no matter how many times he tried to relocate them!

Chapter 1258

The signal... went dead?

Fatty wasn't the only one struck by the sudden wave of danger. The others in the meeting room tightened their fists in worry. This time, the operations team was really fighting alone, without reinforcement. Even if the highest order was issued to gather all the forces and the defense side had been activated, they still couldn't reconnect the signal.

Qin Mo noticed the lost signal ten minutes later. Since his eyes were covered and they weren't communicating outright, he wouldn't have noticed it. But previously, his watch would vibrate lightly whenever information was sent out. This time, it didn't.

Qin Mo's eyes sank as he heard the sound of the speedboat gliding through the water. But none of his emotions could be detected.

Psychiatrist was also aware that they had boarded a boat since all special force soldiers were sensitive to the water flow. He was the only one who knew the impact the water had on Qin Mo. Any sound of liquid, especially under such circumstances could easily put Qin Mo under hypnosis. Their boss's lousy mood whenever it rained wasn't without reason. The trauma from that day was still present. Psychiatrist was starting to worry it was linked to the hypnosis...

Time trickled by slowly but there wasn't any progress in the meeting room. Fatty wrecked his brains trying to resolve the connection issue but still couldn't locate them.

Finally, they received news. There was signal obstruction equipment in the area, with a wide radiation range, which was the reason aircrafts would get lost easily once they are near the area. From an aerial view, all they could see were intricate river channels and lush foliage jungles. They couldn't get a clear grasp of the area or send down the reinforcements.

It had been half an hour since the operations team was last contactable and no one could predict what happened in that timespan. At this junction, perhaps no news was good news.

The sun started to sink, with changes to the surroundings. It was undoubtedly a beautiful sight but dangers were hidden beneath.

The river became narrower and there were armed mercenaries around, guarding the area. Some of them were on boats while some were standing ashore. They seemed to be patrolling. Unexpectedly, they were all quite young. One of them was only in his teens.

Perhaps, this was the real Golden Triangle, a no man's land that was never peaceful and where even children were armed. They were not poor and probably wouldn't even blink when piles of money glided past their eyes because poppies grew in abundance here, which was commonly known to be the fastest earning business in the world.

What they lacked was love. They were orphans and even if they had parents, they were probably slaves. They had been brought up under Kawang and were no longer like other children.

Their gaze was colder than anyone else's. That was what Prince saw when his blindfold was removed. He watched in a daze, unable to believe his eyes.

For the first time, Scorpion broke into a real laughter. "Welcome to our paradise. From today onwards, no one would be able to disrupt our cooperation."

Qin Mo shielded his eyes from the light when the blindfold was removed. He knew the meaning behind Scorpion's words but yet, he asked the obvious, "What do you mean?"

Chapter 1259

Scorpion lifted his chin, signaling for him to look at the deeper end of the jungle.

Qin Mo glanced over, looking straight at two metal towers. Every special force soldier would have undergone training regarding such information. Some were slow while others were faster. Qin Mo swept it a glance, and instantly understood what it was – signal obstruction towers.

"Not bad." He stuffed a hand into his pocket, his words slowing deliberately. "It will make our corporation more secure."

Scorpion laughed. "Boss Rong, you are indeed well informed."

Prince was still looking at the children.

Scorpion noticed his stare, tilting over to ask, "What is it? Young Master hasn't seen it before?"

Prince admitted flippantly, "I haven't seen one so young before. Does he know how to shoot?"

"Second Young Master Rong, don't underestimate them." Scorpion broke into a slow smile. "Sometimes, they are the most useful tool against special force soldiers that manage to sneak in."

Prince struggled to appear natural. "Are you serious?"

"Of course." Scorpion sized him up. "Second Young Master Rong, you are looking at them with the same expression as a special force soldier but the difference is that Second Young Master Rong looks nothing like a special force soldier."

Prince froze but Qin Mo interrupted. "That's why I brought him here to see the world. He has been well protected by the family. My younger brother's greatest weakness is his softheartedness." With that, Qin Mo eyed Prince.

That look dispelled the suspicion Scorpion had since the second son from some families were indeed like this and he had plenty of money to fuel his naivety. He laughed. "Boss Rong, please."

Qin Mo didn't speak anymore. He stuffed his hand into his trousers pocket and walked past two boys who were gambling with guns, his aura as strong as ever.

Prince felt a chill run through him. His reaction just now could have caused suspicion. He immediately entered his new character, reaching out to scratch his nose like a disinterested young master.

This scene made their skin crawl, disgust spreading through them. Scorpion called the place paradise but to Prince, this was no different from hell. Even though the sun was shining brightly and the scenery was beautiful, the actions of these children were chilling.

Magician had the same thoughts. It wasn't because of the children but because they understood why their boss had asked Scorpion that question after seeing the two towers. It was to lower his guard and to let them know there was no reception on the island. All their communications would have to be done through other methods. And from now on, they were without reinforcements. It was crucial to stay alive and to keep their identity a secret.

Who would have imagined Kawang would be hidden here in a place without gates or gantries? More importantly, the Chinese border was to the east. This bothered the entire operations team because they could not tolerate any person or organization from amassing their threat so close to China...

On the other side of the river, about 50 kilometers away on a small road, there was a black Lamborghini speeding through. It wasn't strange to see a luxury car in the area but most of them were Land Rovers and not a model like this.

The smart navigation system had raised its alert the third time consecutively. When Little Blackie detected a slope, it sincerely reminded the driver, "Master, slow down. I'm serious. With my handsome looks, it will be humiliating if I get dirty."

Bo Jiu arched a brow, with no intention of slowing down.

Little Blackie activated his self-defense mode when his base came into contact with the mud. At the end, it emitted steam. Fortunately, it wasn't injured inside. Life wasn't easy for a lousy car that relied on his exterior.

Bo Jiu wasn't the least bit concerned about Little Blackie's self-pity. She opened the door and entered the liquid market. Was it probably due to the environment they were brought up in? There were plenty of people with broken limbs. Bo Jiu had a vague idea of how they had ended up in such a state. In this region, those who weren't willing to cultivate drugs would have their limbs broken.

There were no signs of those plants in the area, all of them turned into villages or crops but that didn't weaken the drug sales. It was probably because of the demand of those who took it because of curiosity or other reasons.

There were some who lived on the borders of hell, who weren't willing to compromise because of something deep in their heart.

They knew better than anyone else of the destruction power these things would bring to their family, which was why they weren't willing to touch it even if their limbs were broken. Could anyone understand their feelings?

They weren't soldiers nor from China. They were ordinary civilians, all of them the same, with no intention to inflict harm on others. Sometimes, the Heavens blessed some with the best environment.

But those people around Kawang had no conscience at all. Even though they lived in the lowest level, there was still light in their eyes. Because of that, they had to destroy the hell created by Kawang.

Bo Jiu raised her hands, pulling a black curtain. Over here, what they lacked was medicine. There was usually a Mongolian doctor behind the black curtain. And this time, the Mongolian doctor was the one who provided her with the supplies.

Surprisingly, from the looks of his ears, he had a rather young and tender appearance. He moved back and forth when he saw her enter. "I honestly didn't want to prepare these things for you. You should know, no one here dares to go against Kawang. Offending him would mean you wouldn't be able to live to see the next sunrise. But then, those who went against you Hackers didn't end up well either since..."

The Mongolian doctor paused when he saw her, his eyes lighting up. "Wh-why is it you?"

Bo Jiu paused. "Do I know you?" She would have an impression of such a peculiar fellow. "Besides, did you mix the medicine for flu and stomachache together?"

"Aiaiai, they are both the same," he replied seriously.

Heh, she smirked. She couldn't see the similarity between those two, this Mongolian doctor was better at tricking others than she could imagine.

Chapter 1260

"That's not right! This isn't the time!" The Mongolian doctor still wore his surgical mask as he suddenly lowered the medicine in his hands. "I've seen you play esports before, it's super cool! Why are you playing esports? Why are you here? Don't tell me you aren't intending to participate in the competition! I already bought tickets for the Asian Cup! If you aren't participating, I'll tear the tickets!"

Bo Jiu: ...

The Mongolian doctor paused, before adding shyly, "I'm your fan."

Bo Jiu was still thinking of a response when the Mongolian doctor decided to do a self-introduction this time. "Whenever your name appears on a livestream, I'll be there giving you the most rewards!"

Bo Jiu remained indifferent. "You got the wrong person."

"The wrong person?" The Mongolian doctor removed his face mask. "Don't underestimate the ability of us fans. Wait a minute, you have indeed gotten darker and your nose isn't as sharp as before. Is this how you look in real life? That's not right, you're way too dark. It's a disguise, isn't it? F*ck, how can I be so dumb, it is definitely a disguise! You probably won't need the paint I prepared. It'll save me some costs."

Bo Jiu laughed. "Do you even need to save on these?"

"I'm saving it to reward you during livestreams!" he replied firmly.

It'll be better if you get yourself useful things.

She knocked the table. "Give me the supplies."

The Mongolian doctor seemed trustworthy and they shifted to a more serious topic. "It's all here. I'll give you a little something else. The most important thing is to walk the area twice after you leave so that Kawang won't be able to locate me and I'll be able to leave within the next two days. I'll give you these medicines for free. There are many poisonous snakes in the forest, it'll do you good to have it with you."

Bo Jiu glanced over towards his first aid kit and laughed. "I won't need the Sulphur. Are there any anesthetics? Pass me a dozen needles."

The Mongolian doctor remained cooperative but he hadn't expected his idol to take all of it away. He stiffened for half a second before turning towards Bo Jiu. "Honestly, return to Supreme Alliance. It doesn't matter if you're a girl. When I found out that you are a girl, my first reaction was to marry you but I wasn't sure if you have a boyfriend."

"I do." This was the first time Bo Jiu had answered any of his questions. When she thought about a certain someone, her lips curved into a smile. "He is great, and I'm planning on proposing."

The Mongolian doctor was stunned. He didn't just lose his love, he was also fed a mouthful of her flaunts! Why was a girl proposing!

Bo Jiu couldn't hear his heart screaming. Once everything was done, she sped off.

Regardless of everything, she would find the Almighty and bring him back to Jiang City. Just as the Mongolian doctor had said, they still had the Asian Cup waiting for them. It wasn't for anyone else but for themselves. Being on the esports stage brought him joy.

"We are 20 kilometers away from the destination. There is a river ahead. Are we changing our form?" Little Blackie asked.

"Change."

"Form modification activated, we are entering the program. The front tyres are ready, the glass has been changed. Ten second countdown."

"10."

"9."

"8."

"..."

"1."
