Latrelle and I were sitting in his room watching Black Lightning.
"You know... Brandon lowkey looks like you" I said as I looked between him and the screen.
"We do not..." He paused
"I look better" He smiled then proceeded to kiss my forehead and walk out "I'm grabbing some snacks want anything?"
"Spicy Pickles! Is there any left?" I sat up, pausing the show.
"Mmm.. Nah?" He thinks to himself aloud "I'm pretty sure my momma took the last one"
I let out a dramatic sigh.
"Relax, baby-love. I'll go run to the corner store and get you one, sound good?"
I nodded. I got up from my spot on his bed and kissed his cheek
"Annddd if you really love me... you'll get me an Extra Sweet Tea?"
"That's you assuming I already love you, because to really love you- I'd have to love you a lil bit.. and I don't" He jokes
I shove him to the side a bit, playfully, of course.
"Boy go get my snacks before I trade you for Brandon. At least he seems nice."
He kissed his teeth, grabbing his house keys.
"Love you! I'll be back in a bit"
"Love you too! Be safe" I replied. He walked out, leaving me to his nice and cozy bed.
I bundled up into the blankets and lay my head on his pillow. It smells like his hair and unbeknownst to him, his shampoo is like a lullaby. Sooner rather than later, I'm drifting asleep.

I'm sitting in the car.
"Alright girls, behave... don't forget to show Y/n around alright?"
... Jefferson Pierce?
"Of course dad, She's our favorite cousin, we'll look out for her." JEN??
"No, you'll look out for her" ANISSA-
Okay, what the hell-
"Y/n you ready?"
Soooo I'm their cousin.. which makes him my uncle... "Yes Uncle Jeff"
We all hopped out of the car and next thing I know I'm seeing a tuft of long brown hair
"... Latrelle?" I run up to the boy " 'Trelle!"
He looks at me sideways. "Uh... I'm Brandon... who's Latrelle?"
Fuck Fuck Fuck.. There's no way right? Right. Right???
"Shoot, my bad.."
"No worries" He replied "I can be whoever you want me to be" He sends a wink my way, lifting my hand to kiss it before walking off.
"Don't even think about it" Jennifer smirks
"What?"
"You know what" She retorts. "Brandon is the most sought-after guy here. Don't risk a beat down by one of his groupies"
I kissed my teeth "Aint nobody worried about Brandon OR his GrOUpIes"
"Alright" She throws her hands up in defense and proceeds to show me around.

School's only halfway over and I'm tired. I need a blunt or something.
Perks of a dream? I can get high here and NOT face consequences.
Interestingly enough I smell weed coming from a locker room.
I pick the lock and slide into the room, seeing my cousin and Brandon.
"Wowww and Ya'll didnt invite me?" I teased as I walked toward Jen.
"Goodie Goodie rolls up?" Brandon smirked
"You don't know what I do, Rick James" I smiled as he rolls his eyes at me
"Here come get a hit" He passes me the blunt, I take a hit and pass it back
"Yall grabbed swishers? Gross."
"Well what the hell you use?" Brandon asks
"Regular ass papers... and lavender if I'm trynna sleep good" He doesn't think I hear em, but I could make out a phrase as he muttered under his breath:
"I can help you sleep good" As he takes another hit.
"Nah B. She got a point, I would've settled for Backwoods before you gave me swishers."
"See?" He passes it to Jen who takes about 2 hits.
"I gotta go to class again. I'm a TA I'm not supposed to be out this long." She steps out to change shirts and freshen up her hair.
Meanwhile she leaves me with Brandon.
I'm not high but I can feel a slight buzz
"Brandon how you feeling over there?" I asked
"Fine" He shrugged
"Why, you buzzed?"
I nod
"A little."
I take a seat on a bench
"I know a way to snap you back" I looked at him amused
"How?"
"Close your eyes"
"Yeah no" I replied almost immediately
"No for real trust me!" He put the blunt out
I reluctantly go with it and shut my eyes.
I can feel his hands on my shoulders
So far it just feels like a massage until he leans down near my ear.
He kisses my neck, and it almost feels too real.
"Y/n"
I let out a slight response, almost airy, like a sigh
"Hm?"
He kisses me again, once on the neck then closer to my ear
"Wake up love"
"Huh" I feel myself stir in place
"Wake up"
"What do you mean"
All of a sudden i feel a sharp pinch on my thigh

"OW!" I shot up like it was nothing
"Baby that dream must've been good huh?"
I glared at Latrelle
"What"
I look at him and notice the bag
"Gimme my damn snacks bruh.." I take the bag from him and open up my snacks
"Babe what I do?"
"MEH" I mumble out in frustration.
Dang.. why do people ALWAYS wake you up during the good part of your dream..
