Ruby's POV
1st day in our relationship
Ernest and me were in the motorcycle shop after school. Ava and Molly we're taking hot motorcycle pictures. Flint and Jade we're taking photos of them. Georgia was wondering around the shop looking at anything that would be cool. I was next to Ernest as he was putting parts on a new motorcycle.
I was handing Ernest tools that he had to point at. I didn't know what any of this stuff was but it was interesting. I am okay with helping him so this wasn't a problem. The best thing about working with Ernest is getting to know him. I just mostly stare at him the whole time. I do image a lot of things and trial off. Ernest really is the best boyfriend.
Earlier Ernest made us matching jewelry that connects to one another. I was surprised he found a magnet in this place but they do have a lot of metal here. This was one of the best days I had and we both never took them off. Ernest really adored being with me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
"We look amazing" said Molly happily. "Aww you guys rocked it" said Georgia as she saw the photos from Jade. "Not too bad" said Flintas he looked at the photos he took. I looked over and he took pictures of himself the whole time. "Let me see" said the girls. I watched as they took it from his hands.
"Dude this is all photos of you" said Georgia. "Really" said Molly as she sounded upset. "Do you have them all Jade" asked Ava. "Yeah" said Jade as she nodded her head. "Thank you" said Ava and Molly happily. They we're so thankful for her taking her photos. It was actually very sweet.
Flint walked towards us with a smile on his face. "These look good right" asked Flint as he showed me and Ernest his pictures. "Nah put that shit away bro" said Ernest jokingly. Flint pretend to be sad. "No you look sweet" I said trying to help him feel better. "Thank you" said Flint with puppy dog eyes.
Ernest started laughing and I joined in. "What" asked Flint. "That face" said Ernest as he pretended to do the same thing. "Oh come on man" said Flint as he grabbed a grease rag. He put it over his shoulder and walked away with a smile. He knew we were joking with him. I turned to Ernest and he gave me a wink. I couldn't help but like this side of him.
2nd day in our relationship
Ernest really wanted to have dinner with my family and I was so happy he got to get to know them better. Ernest gave me roses and I went to go microwave them. People may ask why but it's because one day these rose petals will be thrown down the aisle of our wedding.
My parents already like Ernest so them talking made it better. My father approved about us being together and that's all I ever wanted. My mom really liked Ernest and she probably knew there was something between us whenever he showed up to my house just for us to hangout in my room.
My mom thought he was sweet and kind. I was happy that they got along first. My dad I knew was going to take some time but I always told him the good that Ernest has done for me and my friends. My dad couldn't be any happier with Ernest being the guy I'm dating now.
I do tell my family about every guy that talks to me and they have always told me pick the guy who cares and who wants something with me in the future instead of for fun. I sat there at dinner just smiling about what my parents and Ernest are talking about. I just wanted dinner to be like this every night.
"You guys are so cute" said my mom. I couldn't help but blush. I saw my dad give her a look. We sat down and started eating. All you heard was the forks clanging onto the plates. "This is delicious" said Ernest as he looked at my mom. "Thank you" she said to him. She gave him a light smile.
We had Caesar salad, breadsticks, and tortellini. This was the best meal I love. My mom even had jam for the breadsticks. My mom made strawberry tarts for dessert. She even added extra strawberries for me. This is still my favorite. My mom even let us drink wine with our dinner tonight. They had this be our double date. This is technically our first date.
We happily ate our food and after we all just talked. "You really love black olives" asked my dad. "Yeah they are really good" said Ernest. "My mom used to eat green olives" said my dad. He was mentioning to Teliah. This has been the most he have ever talked about her. I watched his face become sad from talking about her. It is still weird that we live in her house. I looked at my family lovingly.
"I mean she liked them because of her martinis" my dad went on. "Those aren't good" joked my mom as she drank cheap wine. My mom only likes beer so her drinking this was to make the night classier. My father drinks that more expensive stuff but beer is something he had a long time to try out.
I was thinking about how they got together. Me and Ernest are just like them. Ernest and my dad came from a rich family who wants them to be part of the family business. My mom and me are the ones who changed their lives. I hardly have done anything to be honest. I guess I am the only one who listens to him. I think that's all he really needed.
His family is the ones who won't let him. I heard this story before about my parents and I don't want Ernest to go against his family. This is why I wouldn't want him to go through the same thing my dad did. I heard this lesson and I believe I can make it easier for Ernest. I smiled at my family as the night continued on to a swirling comfort.
