Call from Matthew's office to Blaire

Blaire
"Yes, Mr. Decuesta?"
Matthew
"You did good sa meeting
today, Ms. Dreviosa. "
Blaire
"Thank you. "
Matthew
"You're doing something right now?"
Blaire
"Uh, yes. Draft for the proposal
you asked me to handle."
Matthew
"Oh? Samahan mo muna ako."
Blaire
"Uuuh, wheeere?"
Matthew
"You sound suspicious."
Blaire
"Because you sound sus."
Matthew
"Ano?"
Blaire
(In a much louder voice)
"I said 'cause you sound sus."
Matthew
(Silence)
Blaire
"Sus? Suspicious."
Matthew
(Murmurs: Tangina kung ano ano mga kabataan)
"And why do I sound...sus?"
Blaire
"Because you want me to go with you."
Matthew
"Just wanna ask your opinion."
Blaire
"About what?"
Matthew
"We'll go to my other office at Narileoma Mod Furniture. I'll look into new collection of our furniture."
Blaire
"Okay?"
Matthew
"At para na rin mas malawak ang
pag intern mo and not be cooped
up here."
Blaire
"I'm fine here din naman. Or because your secretary's not here. How many days sya leave?
Matthew
"Leave for 3 days.
Visiting her parents."
Blaire
"Ba't 'di ka sumama?"
Matthew
"Ba't ako sasama?"
Blaire
"She invited you, 'no?
Tapos you rejected her 'cause
maybe she wanted you to meet
her parents. Correct?"
Matthew
"Manghuhula ka ba?"
Blaire
"Was I correct?"
Matthew
"Yes."
Blaire
"Oh! Ang galing ko!"
(Laughs)
Blaire
"I'm pretty sure she's just
waiting for you to make
her your girlfriend."
Matthew
"Is that what you think?"
Blaire
"What I think doesn't matter
for it is not my business."
Matthew
"Then what's your opinion
about it?"
Blaire
(Silence)
Blaire
"I don't like her."
Matthew
"I already know that."
Blaire
"I know it is very wrong of me to cast
judgement. And she's kinda nakakaawa
din ng very light because it's sorta obvious
na she's making asa that you'll be serious
about her. I don't like her, yes.
But I don't hate her either."
Matthew
"I see."
Blaire
"Gosh. Don't ask me na about her."
Matthew
"Why not? Dati parang ayaw mo papigil
mag-salita tungkol sa kanya."
Blaire
"Yes. But I realized I shouldn't care
about it 'cause it's no one else's business
naman talaga."
Matthew
(Silence)
Blaire
"And, I guess, you're both
consenting adult. So you're both
free to sleep with each other.
And why did she have to tell me you
had sex with her last night is beyond me.
Did she think maiinggit ako? Weird."
Matthew
(In a bit louder voice)
"What?"
Blaire
"I said..."
Matthew
"I heard what you said,
Ms. Dreviosa."
Blaire
"Okay?"
Matthew
"What did she tell you exactly?"
Blaire
"Ummm, let me think."
Blaire
"She called this morning to remind
me about the things I need to finish.
She said pupunta sana sya dito before
her flight pero sabi nya she's tired.
Then, she said, she's tired kase pinagod mo sya kagabi? And she giggled, like parang shunga. And I didn't ask her naman kung bakit sya pagod. She wanted to imply you had sex with her. What do I care if you guys had sex?"
Matthew
"I.. Wha.. Did you..."
Blaire
"Huh? Are you okay?"
Matthew
"Ano sabi mo sa kanya?"
Blaire
"Wala. I let her talk. I didn't know
if she's telling the truth or not.
Mukha kasi sya liar.
And don't tell her I made kwento."
Blaire
"Was she telling the truth?"
Blaire
"You had sex with her last night?"
Matthew
"Will you please stop saying sex?"
Blaire
"Huh? Why? "
Matthew
"Basta."
Matthew
"And yes. She was..."
(Clears throat)
Matthew
"She was telling the truth."
Blaire
"Ahh. Okay.
So it wasn't your car that
I saw last night."
Matthew
"Ano?"
Blaire
"I thought I saw your car eh.
I was in the lobby that time."
Matthew
"Why did you think it was me?"
Blaire
"I... I actually don't know. I thought
you wanted to eat the dinner I prepared."
(awkward laugh)
Blaire
"But yeah. Wasn't you
naman pala."
Matthew
"You think I'm an asshole?"
Blaire
"I don't know what to think of you.
But I do hope, if you were to have a
serious girlfriend, she'd be understanding."
Matthew
"I don't want to be in any serious
relationship."
Blaire
(Laughs)
"'Di mo sure."
Matthew
(Whispers)
"Uh-huh
'Di ko na sure."
Blaire
"Before I forget pala. I need to go
to Uni lang ng mga 1:30pm 'cause
may ipapasa lang ako sa one
of my subjects."
Matthew
"Sure. Pahatid na din kita.
Kumain ka na ba?"
Blaire
"Yep. had my cereal."
Matthew
"You on a diet or something?"
Blaire
"No. Male-late kase ako
if I cook pa eh."
Matthew
"Be ready in 5."
Blaire
"Kk."
