Harold Pope is in a boring, dead end job as a mail room worker in a large fashion house. An acquaintance introduces him to a friend, who offers Harold a way to make some easy money by, as it was casually explained, servicing bad debts.
Certainly more exciting than delivering office mail, Harold agrees, only to see the excitement become danger, when his new career has him accidentally killing a man. Taking advantage of that incident, he crafts a successful, financially beneficial career as a contract killer – until through another accident – becomes his own contract.
