i contemplated jumping as i looked over the sleeping city, adorned with a myriad of lights.

it seemed like the perfect way to exit this rugged, treacherous, yet sometimes painstakingly beautiful world.

for unlike my birth, when i entered the world's inviting light from the darkness of my mother's womb;

i would leave the darkness of this cruel world and dive instead towards death's peaceful light,

having spent my last moments with a breathtaking view and the knowledge that people too can fly -

even without wings,
if only for a few moments.
