Early in the morning Dustin had visited the lynx factory again to spy some more
"That keycard opens the door, but unfortunately, the Russian with this keycard also has a massive gun. Whatever's in this room, whatever's in those boxes, they really don't want anyone finding it" said Dustin
"But there's gotta be a way in" Alex said
"Well you know, I can just take him out" Steve told the other three
"Take who out" Robin asked
"The Russian guard" Steve said nonchalantly
"What? I sneak up behind him, I knock him out and I take his keycard" Steve said as if it was obvious
"Did you not hear the part about the massive gun" Dustin asked questioning Steve's stupidity
"Do you not remember Steve that I can turn invisible, wipe memories and have telekinesis" Alex told him forgetting that Robin doesn't know
"Wait what?!" Robin shouted
"We'll explain everything later" he responded
"Also Steve be honest have you actually ever won a fight" Dustin added going back to the conversation latter
"Okay, that was one time-
"Twice. Jonathan. Year prior?" Dustin reminded him
"Listen that doesn't count"
"Why would it? Because it looks like he beat the shit out off you"
"Can we not argue about this right now?" Alex stated clearly tired of the stupid bickering
Robin just stared at the air ducts
"That might just work" she said smiling and rushed out of the room
"Robin" Alex asked her from the window Dustin and Steve's argument over
"Hey Robin! Hey, what- what are you doing?" Steve asked now also interested
"I need cash" was all she said
"We'll half of that's mine." He said looking at the cash from the tip jar in her hands
"Where are you going?"
"To find a way into that room a safe way and in the meantime sling ice cream, behave and don't get beat up"
"Yes mom" Alex told her sarcastically while Dustin was just licking ice cream off Steve's scooper
"Come man, not my scooper"
After slinging ice cream for 45 minutes Robin came back with the blueprints of starcourt mall.
"I don't really see a way in?" Steve said looking at the blueprints
"Yes, that's if your talking about doors" Robin responded as she brought out another blueprint
"Air ducts" Alex and Dustin said simultaneously
"Exactly. Turns out this secret room needs air just like any old room. And these air ducts lead all the way here." Robin stated proudly
Dustin had tried to fit himself seeing as he had no collarbones but they needed someone small to fit in there.
So they brought Erica
"Yeah, I don't know" she said
"You don't know if you can fit?" Alex asked her
"Oh I can fit. I just don't know if I want to."
"Are you claustrophobic?" Robin asked her
She just chuckled and said " I don't have phobias. The problem is I still haven't heard what's in this. for. Erica.
Steve just sighed tiredly
After several several ice cream sundaes and Erica roasting them several times she agreed only with a life supply of free ice cream
We all waited until it was dark and the mall was close to shutting down.
"Hey Alex I never got to thank you for checking up on me when the others all ditched." Dustin told him
"Hey, your my family alright and just because they didn't stay with you at the hill doesn't mean we don't care we missed you man." Alex told him. And Dustin smiled back appreciated because Alex never normally shows his sentimental side.
"Erica do you copy?" Robin asked her
"Mm-hmm I copy, you nerds in position or what?"
"Yeah, we're in position."
"It's all quiet here so you got the green light." Robin whispered
"Green light tiger that, commence operation child endangerment." Said Erica as she climbed into the vent
"Can't we maybe not call it that"
"See you on the other side, nerds"

"Alright nerds I'm there"
"Do you- do you wee anything?" Robin asked her
"Yeah i see those boring boxes you're so excited about" said Erica
"Any guards?" Alex asked her
"Negative." She replied
"Booby traps?" Steve asked
Now frustrated with the questioning she said
"If I could see them they'd be pretty shit traps, wouldn't they?"
"Thank you for that" Dustin told her
"Anytime" she said sarcastically
Alex ran his hand through his hair Erica was a piece of work. She pressed the blue button and the door opened.
The four of them on the rooftop smiled
"Remember free ice cream for life"
They four all rushed into the room and opened one of the boxes
"That's definitely not Chinese food" Steve told them lol I'm st the cold air hissing around the metal
"Maybe you guys should, you know, stand back"
Alex and Dustin stood firm in there positions next to Steve while Erica and Robin moved back.
Steve rolled his eyes at the two boys and proceeded to open the box knowing they wouldn't budge.
In one of the cylinder containers was a green sparky substance. It looked like it was moving
"What is that?" Robin asked confused
Suddenly a jolt was heard around them the room shaking
"Is it just me or did the room move?" Alex asked them all
"Booby traps" Erica whispered
Robin snatched the cylinder out of Steve's hand "let's just grab this and go" she said not wanting to stay here any longer
"Uh Erica which button should I press?" Dustin asked worriedly spamming the open button
"Just press the damn button, nerd"
But nothing was working Alex began to shout at the incompetent boys who were continuously spamming the open door button
Robin and Erica began to argue as well and then the room began to drop.
"Guys u think this is an elevator!" Alex shouted to them all
The room began to rumble as well
"We're gonna die" Dustin screamed at the top of his lungs also hyperventilating
Erica was telling him to shut up while Steve was still spamming the button.
"Guys shut up someone may here us!" Alex scolded them and they all began to quiet down
All of a sudden the elevator came to a halt
"Where the fuck are we?" Alex asked
