Natasha's POV
So today is the day I will meet Kai's parents.
I take out a black knee length dress and a long socks. I put them on and comb my hair neatly then again I tie my hair into a tail.
Later, I put on a black keds and put all my things inside my black leather bag.
I walk out of my room and walk to the parking lot since Kai's here to pick me up.
I get inside and smile to Kai.
"Hi."
"Hey babe. You look cute."
"Awh thankyou." I say as I peck his cheeks.
When we almost arrive, I got nervous and my palm went sweaty.
I smile nervously at Kai while wiping my sweats with tissues.
Eventhough Kai turned on the air-cond, I'm still sweating.
Omo maybe because I'm too nervous.
Kai open the car door for me and pull me out.
I'm standing infront of Kai's parent's house.
I stare in awe at their mansion. It's enormous!
I walk slowly when Kai pull me inside.
I smile and bow and Mrs Kim when Kai suddenly hug a not-so-old-woman.
When we got inside, I sit on the couch as Mrs Kim gestured.
"Who's that?"
"My girlfriend."
"Oh, w- wait. I'll call your appa."
The maids serve some snacks and drinks while I wait for Kai's parents.
Kai sitting beside me and hug my waist. He rested his chin on my shoulder.
When Mr. Kim stepped inside this living room, I feel tense building up as I look at Mr. Kim's face.
I bow and greet him.
Later he gestured me to sit.
"So you're my son's girlfriend?"
"Nae." I smile.
"I'm sorry but I don't agree with your relationship." Mr. Kim said directly.
I told you the tense does built.
"W- wae?"
"We got someone that can replace your place. She's better than you." Mrs Kim said.
"Mi- mianhae... I'll make my move first." I stood up and hold my tears.
This is it. Our relationship will end just like that....
When I'm walking towards the door, I saw Kai was trying to escape from his father's grip. I bow and bid them goodbye.
After I slip into my shoes, I make my way out and quickly run towards the taxi stand.
I let out all of my tears as I got inside a cab.
I can't help it. I cry and cry 'till I reach my apartment.
I pay the driver and run to my unit.
I change into another clothes and tuck myself in bed.
Eventhough it's only 3;30pm, I can't take it anymore. I'm so exhausted out of crying.
I cry and cry again even after I try to forget about what happen just now.
Why this thing happen so soon? I can't be apart from Kai.
He's my half but his parents disagree with our relationship.
After hours of crying, I fell asleep after switching off my phone.
After a few days of crying and stay in bed without doing nothing, I switch on my phone and call Hyojin without bothering about the messages I receive.
"Yah!!!" My tears explode as I heard Hyojin's voice whose in China now.
"Eh wae?!" She sounded worried.
"Th- three d- days ago, Kai brought me to meet his parents....."
"So?"
"But after I sit there and introduce myself, his parents sounded serious and start to state that they have a girl that Kai will be marry to. After that I stood up and run away."
"Omo girl?! Kai is so stupid! How could him?! Just he wait when I'm there! I'll surely teach him a lesson!!" Hyojin sounded like the fiercest teacher in school.
I chuckled tiredly and continue my words. "No Hyojin no. It's not Kai's fault. Kai also didn't know anything. I'm sure of it. It's only that his parents happen to arrange him in a marriage."
"How about you then?"
"Nevermind, I'm okay with it. Even if I want to defend this relationship, I can't. Because his parents surely won't agree." I chuckled tiredly. I am tired. Tired of crying.
"Girl, please stay strong. I'm sorry that I'm not there to be your hugging bear."
I laugh and cough later.
"Omo girl don't laugh."
"Aish it's just a sore throat. Let me be if I want to laugh." I protested.
She laugh and giggle.
"Girl stay strong and sorry now I got to go."
After I end the call, I receive a call from my mom.
"Annyeong eomma."
"Nae annyeong jagiya."
"Eommaaaaaaa~" I start sobbing.
"Nae jagi?"
"Nothing. Why you call?" I hold my tears and try to sound normal.
"Why your voice like that jagi? Are you okay?"
"Sore throat. I laugh too much these past days." I lied.
"Ahh, don't laugh too much. And I call you because I'm telling a very important news."
"Nae what is it?"
"It's about your grandfather's will. I'll meet you up at your apartment later."
I panicked. I can't let eomma see me in this state. She'll surely sad.
"Eomma! I'm at HongKong right now. We can't meet. Mian, eomma. So you need to tell it only on the phone because I'm not coming home soon." I'm sorry eomma, I have to lie because I don't want you to be worried.
"Ahh, nevermind so I'll just continue. Your grandfather, he made a will before he dies."
"Nae so what is it related to me?"
"The will said you need to marry your grandfather's choice when your 23 years old. Since you're 23, and you are ready to have a responsibilty, I think now is the right time to tell you."
WHATDAHELL?!
"Na- nae, eomma." I swallow all her words.
"So who is his choice?"
"The grandson of his bestfriend, the Kim's family."
"Kim's? Ahh, nae. Eomma, I need to go."
She hung up after we bid goodbyes.
I thought about all my grandfather's will.
I think this is the time to forget about Kai.
I need to accept the man grandfather chose for me.
I need to see Kai and end our relationship officially.
I take my phone and call Kai.
I told him where to meet and when.
Later, I slip into a sweatpant, a long big size sweater. I tie my hair and left my fringe straight while I put on the nerdy glasses to cover up my eyebags and swollen eyes.
Minutes later I drive to the place I set up.
I sit at the back of the coffee shop and wait for Kai.
"Hi."
"Nae. So now I have something to tell."
"What is it?"
"Let's end this." Kai entangle our palms.
"Natasha, don't be like this. I'm hurt to see you like this. Let me explain."
"No. We need to end this." I stood up and when I'm about to leave, he pull me.
"I said we need to end this. I'm getting married soon. And you too. We need to go on our own path. We can't be together. And yeah thanks for the great memories all this while. I apologize to you if I did any wrongs back then. I'm getting married soon so don't you contact me anymore. Let's just act like stranger. Everything about us is only a past now. Goodbye Kai." I said bitterly and hug him for the last time then I stormed out of the coffee shop.
