Chapter 961: The Topic Boyfriend

The thought dimmed his entire being, sending him into darkness.

It was a stab to his heart.

Regardless of how strong he appeared in front of that person, he couldn't stop the helplessness and despair from spreading when he sat out like that.

Swoosh!!

Lin Feng probably made up his mind as he bolted out from the bathroom.

He had mustered up enough courage to tell Yun Hu that he couldn't turn gay and for them to stay brothers.

But the moment he saw Yun Hu sitting outside, his face paled, his throat constricted, and the words wouldn't leave him.

Since this was the first time he had seen Yun Hu in such a state, he seems almost pitiful.

He had never seen this expression on his face before. This made sense because even if Yun Hu was gay, he should be the dominant.

But now, a straight man had ruined him. He was probably feeling horrible at this moment.

When Yun Hu heard something, he glanced over. Lin Feng seemed to have calmed down and there wasn't any turbulence visible on his face.

But Lin Feng saw more meaning to that gaze.

Besides, with Yun Hu's current position, it seemed as though he had been rubbing his waist since a while ago.

Even though Lin Feng was an amateur, he was an amateur who had watched porn.

The submissive would always end up the same as Yun Hu was looking at this moment; with a sore waist and an expression which was unlike their normal self.

So last night... he really... really... did that to Yun Hu?

Lin Feng inhaled as he glanced down at himself before looking over at Yun Hu, his expression firm and solemn. "Hu, don't worry, I will take responsibility."

"Responsibility?" Yun Hu was caught off guard by the sudden turn of events. He never knew helping him relief himself was worth any responsibility or perhaps... Did he misunderstand something?

Lin Feng bent over, his stance rather clumsy. But fortunately, he still had his good looks. "Even though the alcohol played a part in my impulse act, it is now a done deal and I will take responsibility for my actions. But you need to give me an adjustment period since I'm straight after all. I really can't wrap my head around how you gays think. However, I will still take responsibility."

"It is a done deal?" Yun Hu grasped the root of the problem.

Lin Feng reached out to point at his waist, his face flushed. "That, are you alright now? Do you need me to buy some ointment? It must be your first time as well. Does it still hurt? If it hurts, don't hold it in and let me know about it."

It seemed like this silly boy forgot everything that had happened yesterday night. The struggle to bring him home caused him to sprain his waist. Yun Hu had no idea how the idea had been planted in his mind, but... Yun Hu had no intention of clarifying things. He didn't agree nor object but his gaze cleared up.

Even until this day, he still couldn't understand a certain someone's train of thought.

Lin Feng watched as Yun Hu tilted his head. He was sure he was ignoring him.

That didn't seem unreasonable as there wouldn't be anyone who would be in a good mood after such an incident.

If it had been him, he would have beaten the person to death!

However, he didn't think of the lack of response from Yun Hu which was a first since they had been young.

Today was the first time he kept so quiet.

Lin Feng was starting to panic. He wrecked his brain to think it through."That, give me a minute, I need to make another call."

"You're going to the toilet seat again?" Yun Hu glanced up, eyeing him. "Dressed like that?"

Lin Feng glanced down. Indeed, it didn't seem very appropriate. He looked down at the clothes which were scattered on the ground. They were all crumpled and couldn't be worn anymore.

It had been a passionate night indeed; their clothes were everywhere.

Lin Feng shielded his eyes.

Yun Hu didn't have to look to know what he was thinking about.

It seemed as if he had forgotten everything from yesterday. He removed his clothes and swung it in his hand before tossing it onto the ground.

"I'm dressed now." He haphazardly tossed a pair of pants on and turned to Yun Hu. "Wait for me."

Yun Hu reached out and held onto his arm. "Are you going to call Little Spade again? You can talk to me directly. Why do you always call Little Spade?"

"He has experience. I was going to ask him how to deal with this matter. Besides, you weren't willing to answer me just now." Lin Feng grabbed a wad of hair.

Yun Hu glanced at him. "Go ahead then."

"Mmh." Lin Feng flew into the bathroom like a bird which had been released from captivity. He repeated everything that had happened before asking, "Do you think I should show him more care and concern? This is the first time someone has bedded him after all and he might not be able to handle the pressure."

Bo Jiu didn't respond. The Almighty, who sat directly in front of her, was holding his phone towards her, signaling her to read the front page.

Yun Hu had just sent him a message. "Regardless of what Lin Feng says, get Little Spade to say yes."

Such a deeply thought out plan... Would Lin Feng even know what to do?

Bo Jiu replied lazily, "Where are you now?"

"In the bathroom." Lin Feng glanced up at the ceiling. "Do you know this feeling? It feels as though I suddenly turned into a father."

Bo Jiu wanted to tell him how she had always tried her best to be a sugar daddy to the Almighty and what you should know when you just became a daddy. "Why do you keep going into the bathroom?"

"I'm afraid Yun Hu would feel my conversation." Lin Feng sighed. "You don't understand how confused I feel right now."

You are the one who doesn't understand, Almighty Yun has already predicted what you are going to say. Is there a need to eavesdrop? A naive youngster indeed...

"If you are able to turn gay for Almighty Yun, you should act according to how you feel. If you can't turn gay for him, you won't have to take responsibility since you are both of age. At the end of the day, it depends on how you feel. Some things can't be forced."

Bo Jiu provided a practical advice as she treated the both of them as friends.

A relationship built solely on misunderstandings wouldn't last long because when the time came, the feelings would be deeper. However, if Lin Feng didn't mind, it could turn into a beautiful misunderstanding.

It was obvious though that Qin Mo wasn't pleased with her advice because it seemed as though she treated everything lightly.

This in turn meant that even though he had with slept her, it didn't mean she was his.

Qin Mo felt his heart constricting and his gaze was sinking.

He had never been anyone's boyfriend and would never be.

However, it seemed like Bo Jiu had never seen him as boyfriend either.

With that, Qin Mo reached out and lifted her chin, lowering himself to plant a kiss on her lips.

Chen Xiaodong, who stood at the side: ... He never expected to witness such a scene! How could it happen just like this! This was the Fu family house! What if Madam had walked in on this?!

Bo Jiu was startled when the cooling sensation spread across her lips.

It was a short kiss, but somehow, his intense gaze made her heart skip a beat...

Chapter 962: Filming an Advertisement

Bo Jiu would never have expected his sudden kiss.

She held onto the phone, her clean and fair skin stiffening. She had forgotten what she wanted to tell Lin Feng.

She looked straight at the sharp and defined features in front of her. His lips lingered on hers after the kiss, leaving a numbing and cooling sensation.

After Yun Hu had sent the WeChat message, he stuffed the phone back into his pocket and glanced at the bathroom door. He pretended to be casual about it. "You don't have to feel pressured, we are both guys, sleeping for a night isn't a big deal, It's good enough you don't find me disgusting."

If Yun Hu hadn't said that, Lin Feng wouldn't have felt compassion, especially since he looked so delicate from the side.

Qin Mo glanced at the certain someone who had watched them.

Chen Xiaodong: ... Mamamia, I don't want to see two guys kissing in front of me anymore, I'm a straight guy, not gay! Didn't Almighty Qin see him at all?!

It was obvious that he didn't care.

Sometimes, a kiss was used to mark his territory. It wasn't just for others to know, it was also for a certain someone to be reminded of his presence and not to take him for granted.

Bo Jiu blinked. The Almighty's deep gaze seemed to be telling her something; it seemed to say that he liked her very much and yet, it also felt as though he wanted to toss her into a trash bin. This...

"Hey, Little Spade! Hey! Why aren't you saying anything, did you lose signal?" On the other end, Lin Feng was looking at his phone and thought that the bathroom was cutting off his signal. "Forget it, I have decided. I'm going to go all in!"

Lin Feng kept his phone and opened the wooden bathroom door immediately.

His gaze was heavier than usual. "I have to take responsibility."

Yun Hu glanced at a certain someone, who had clearly taken the bait. Hence, he asked a practical question. "How do you intend to take responsibility?"

"I'm going to marry you." Lin Feng added, "I will try to marry you."

"Oh." Yun Hu didn't seem to know how to react.

This guy was definitely a straight man. He had to marry someone after sleeping him.

"You should understand how I feel about you." Yun Hu continued down his train of thoughts. "I won't agree to any sort of contract marriage or a marriage for show."

In this moment, Lin Feng thought to himself, "Of course I know how you feel about me, f*ck, if you dare to bring up how you relieved yourself to my photo, I'm going to kill you."

However, he had to be gentle since he had slept with him. "You can tell me."

Yun Hu replied faintly, "I want to kiss you every time I see you. So we should start practicing with a kiss."

"Ki-kiss?" Lin Feng's eyes shot wide open. This wasn't within his consideration at all.

Yun Hu continued to tease him. "You weren't even this agitated when you hugged me yesterday."

Lin Fen had hugged onto him as he had vomited, unwilling to let go.

However, the moment Lin Feng heard those words, images started to float into his mind. He blushed, fidgeting in his seat. "Alright!"

Yun Hu arched his brows. "What do you mean by alright?"

"We can start practicing with a kiss!" Lin Feng inched over in a manly manner as though it didn't mean anything.

Yun Hu asked leisurely, "Are you going to take the lead or am I going to do it?"

"Of course I will take the lead, I'm the dominant one after all." Lin Feng was firm in this area.

The moment he uttered those words, Yun Hu arched his brows but remained expressionless overall. Only his gaze was filled with emotion as he glanced at the person he had been waiting for. Even though it was only an illusion...

Lin Feng inched closer and closer. When he was about the right distance, he felt his ears heating up. He glanced at Yun Hu and took a moment before instructing, "Close your eyes."

"I have to close my eyes?" Yun Hu arched a brow. He thought about his kissing experience and replied, "Back when you were kissing your little girlfriend, was it also with your eyes closed?"

Lin Feng recalled the time he had lied to Yun Hu in order to save his face and his gaze faltered. "Of course! Couples kiss with their eyes closed in romance dramas all the time."

"Alright." Yun Hu wasn't very willing, but his unwillingness was coming from the fact that his first kiss had been taken by someone else.

Lin Feng continued to inch forward. This time, his ears started to burn. Why was the sensation so intense even though Brother Hu had shut his eyes? It must be because he was too handsome.

Lin Feng watched the increasingly amplified nose bridge. He had always envied Yun Hu's appearance because he looked very much like a straight man and didn't have any hint of femininity ━ unlike him, who had been born looking so feminine.

Once he was close enough, Lin Feng glanced at his lips. Somehow, his heart started to race. He still couldn't seem to wrap his head around it.

Who would kiss a brother of more than twenty years?

They had fought and played together occasionally but never like this because they were both guys.

Lin Feng inhaled deeply. "Can I kiss your face?"

Yun Hu opened his eyes und studied Lin Feng's expression. Even though he had tried to mask it, he had always worn his expression on his face and even the least bit of unwillingness could be seen very clearly.

Yun Hu felt his heart sink. "Is kissing that difficult?"

"Ah? That, it is rather hard to..."

Before he could finish his sentence, his lips were sealed.

Yun Hu always drank tea and thus when he kissed Lin Feng, his breath was filled with a unique tea scent. There was also a hint of something else.

Lin Feng froze, his eyes wide open.

Yun Hu managed to break through his teeth, his tongue moving further in, not giving him a chance to gasp for air.

Lin Feng had never been a match for him in this area.

When he wanted to protest, Yun Hu deepened the kiss and the sensation from his tongue sending shivers through him.

His entire mind went blank.

Lin Feng pushed him aside!

The back of his hand rubbed his lips instinctively but the fiery sensation continued to linger on.

After being pushed aside, Yun Hu sat up and swept him a glance, his fingers caressing the sore area Lin Feng had bit.

Lin Feng wanted to explain as Yun Hu had tried his best but he still couldn't open up his heart.

He hadn't expected Yun Hu to beat him to it by saying, "It's no problem. You might not be able to accept it now but we can take it slow. There will be a day you can accept this."

With that, he stood up, his fringe falling across his eyes. "I'm going to take a shower."

"...." Lin Feng opened his mouth but nothing came out. He then sat on the bed and grabbed a wad of hair.

Meanwhile, the shower was turned on by Yun Hu, who then stood beneath the shower. The water was trickling down his back. Those words weren't really for Lin Feng but more for himself.

He had had this crush for a very long time.

It had been so long, he was afraid that Lin Feng would marry someone else while his presence at the wedding would signify the life he was missing out on...

Meanwhile in the Fu family's house, Bo Jiu was still guessing the Almighty's thoughts.

Qin Mo reached out his arm to glance at his watch and said with a calm voice, "We'll leave after breakfast. We have to meet the advertising company."

"Advertising company?" Bo Jiu arched a brow. "I have to go as well?"

Qin Mo had a handsome profile. "Isn't it good to film advertisements? You will be able to earn yourself some pocket money."

"That isn't bad, it means I depend on my appearance for a living." Bo Jiu broke into a smile; her love for money was a well known fact.

Qin Mo glanced at the money-minded youngster and couldn't seem to admit that this was the youngster he had fallen for, a feeling he couldn't seem to get rid of.

If she liked money, wouldn't it be good to have him as a boyfriend?

He had never seen anyone so ignorant.

Qin Mo lowered his gaze and glanced at his phone. He had received a message from Feng Yi, who was informing him that the car had arrived...

At 10 am, they had arrived at the filming location. It was owned by a big company with a sizeable number of celebrities within the filming location.

Yi Sihuo, the person who had tried to embarrass Bo Jiu just two days ago, was also in that group. The past few days, Yi Sihuo's popularity had experienced a boom. A rather popular idol drama managed to garner him many new fans but that wasn't the reason behind his increased popularity.

The real reason behind his heightened popularity was because he had appeared in the name list of a world-renowned director.

It was common knowledge that just showing his face in a movie of that scale would be monumental to someone in his industry.

However, it wasn't easy to communicate with Yi Sihuo.

The advertisers had already given him a persona but he didn't find it outstanding enough and wanted to add another two more scenes.

This advertisement wasn't like the others out there because the Chinese director wanted to turn it into a mini film. It was an electronic product after all.

Who would have known that he was just a flower pot? No one would believe he had acted before. Thus with two added scenes, the beauty of the advertisement would be destroyed.

Neither of them could continue. Yi Sihuo acted as though he was a big shot. If they didn't cajole him, he wasn't willing to carry on. The Chinese director, however, had the same temperament. She shifted the cameras aside and smiled as she took a call. "Teacher? You are coming over? It would be great if you could come over and help me with this mess."

After she hung up, the big shot who had been spoiled rotten by his fans looked high and mighty with his shades.

The Chinese Director thought to herself, "All those rumors about how a certain fresh meat was both looks and abilities and treats the staff with respect were all bullsh*t."

"We have another request, our Sihuo's face can't just flash across the screen." His manager had her considerations as well. Since her artist was no longer the same popularity level as before, she had more demands.

Seeing how they weren't being reasonable, the Chinese director wanted to walk over and say something.

Right at this moment, a commotion was heard from the other end.

"So handsome!"

"Why are Young Master Qin and Big Spade here? I would never have expected this! Gosh, I'm satisfied!"

"Big Spade?"

"The professional esports player, the silver-haired pretty boy."

"I thought he was cosplaying. Is her really that handsome in real life?"

There was a lot of talk surrounding after the two of them walked in and even the Chinese director had glanced over in curiosity. The moment she caught sight of them, her eyes lit up! They were the perfect candidates!

The theme of the laptop advertisement was mystery and beauty.

She wanted to use the images to portray a short story. Hence, she got the advertisers to source of a couple. Even if the two people weren't really a couple, they needed to be a young and handsome pair.

She didn't want those standard handsome features but a unique sort of charm and it would be best to find someone who was good with computers.

Now that she had caught sight of the two of them, the Chinese director had other plans. It didn't matter if they couldn't play computer games, they just had to be in the correct position and show their faces with a hint of expression for it to be perfect.

"Who are they?" The Chinese director asked a staff member as she had just come back from abroad and wasn't up to date.

The staff looked at her in disbelief. "Young Master Qin and Spade Z. They are the professional esport players that are replacing the couple from before. They were recruited by the manager over from the advertiser. They only agreed to show their faces."

The Chinese director felt herself lit up. Since they were the perfect actors, she would have to grasp onto this opportunity. "Arrange for their clothes and makeup to be done."

Makeup was fine but Qin Mo would never allow anyone to dress a certain someone.

Fortunately they were in a filming location with better facilities.

After obtaining her clothes from the staff, Bo Jiu thanked them with a faint smile, telling them she could change herself.

The staff member didn't play esports and didn't watch esports competition but the moment she saw the youngster's handsome face and him thanking her with that smile, she couldn't help the flush creeping up her face.

She finally understood the craze over the youngster because even though he was from the esports industry, he had an incredible exposure and popularity. He was indeed handsome.

He wasn't just handsome but also had a gentle gaze.

There was an abundance of handsome guys and beautiful girls in the industry but there weren't many with the same dignified vibe that the youngster carried.

From afar, Yi Sihuo watched with narrowed eyes. Even his face had darkened. "What is that useless Fu guy doing here?"

The manager wasn't sure as well. "I'll go ask."

"You don't have to." Yi Sihuo didn't look pleased. "With Qin Mo at his side, he wouldn't be looked at weirdly, regardless of where he went. Ask the director when she is filming."

"Alright." The manager didn't wish to offend Young Master Qin either as he wasn't someone they could take lightly.

Yi Sihuo was still watching them. Why were the staff passing clothes to him? Was he here to film an advertisement?

With that, Yi Sihuo's eyes sank.

The staff was still standing outside the two dressing rooms.

Bo Jiu had gone into one while Qin Mo had entered the other.

The dressing room staff paced about, waiting to see the youngster after he had gotten dressed.

After about three minutes, Bo Jiu walked out from the dressing room.

She was dressed like how she often did back at the Fifth Avenue; a white shirt and black trench coat fastened with a long belt. She wore a black face mask to lower her presence.

She had never expected the advertisement outfit to look the same.

Bo Jiu arched her brow before she reached out and loosen the belt casually.

However, that tiny action was enough to mesmerize both the Chinese director and the dressing room staff.

He was a perfect match!

Chapter 963: Let's Talk It Out

The Chinese director watched Bo Jiu with glowing eyes. She wanted to snap the shot right at that instant.

He was her perfect male lead! How could anyone look this perfect?

Even with the face mask on, it still wasn't enough to mask his overwhelming celebrity aura.

When she had first chanced upon the youngster, she had found his image too clean-cut and that he might not express the mysterious aura she was looking for.

However, as opposed to the youngster's previous outfit, the black trench coat and mask seemed a much better fit!

The moment Bo Jiu came out of the dressing room, there were two girls staring at her. On a normal day, she had a high tolerance for such incidents but today, the staring seemed to have gone on far too long. She paused for a moment and asked, "Erm, what's the genre for the advertisement we are filming?"

"Ah?" The staff was knocked back to her senses and was about to reply but at that moment, Qin Mo walked out, causing silence to fall over the film set once again.

There were some people with strong individuality and charm regardless of the clothes they wore.

Aristocratic, clean, and porcelain-like fair skin were the first impressions Qin Mo gave off.

At this moment, Qin Mo wore a white shirt and was holding on to a can of beer of unknown origins while his collar was half opened.

The style for the advertisement required his hair to be damp. Thus his black hair was scattered on his forehead and the water droplets slid down the straight bridge of his nose.

"So handsome!" Someone inhaled deeply.

Bo Jiu turned towards the person and collided right with a pair of deep eyes.

The moment Qin Mo saw her, the color of his eyes seemed to have darkened.

They were separated by almost half the filming set as they stared into each other's eyes.

Bo Jiu was still wearing her face mask.

In that moment, her heart slowed.

Because Bo Jiu suddenly remembered that the Almighty had seen her back then at the Fifth Avenue.

Even though they had passed each other, back then, she had worn a hooded black trench coat and had a black face mask on. Other than the color of her hair, she now looked exactly the same as she had been at that moment.

Bo Jiu couldn't be sure if the Almighty remembered the time they had brushed past each other.

She turned her head away from the guilt while she silently prayed for him to not remember.

Just as she was praying internally, a figure appeared in front of her. Although he engulfed her, it was more accurate to say that she fell right into his arms.

The moment her nose collided with his white shirt, she inhaled deeply. He didn't seem to have fully recognized her.

"You can't even walk properly?" His smooth voice asked from above her head.

Bo Jiu glanced up and caressed her nose.

Qin Mo looked down at her face. When his gaze swept across face covered by the mask, his voice was calm with a hint of indifference. "Back when I was in America, I once bumped into someone that looks a little like you."

Bo Jiu stilled slightly. When she smiled, her eyes were sincere. "There's someone that looks as handsome as me? That I would want to have a look."

"Z."

At the sound of that codename, Bo Jiu tilted her head, asking through her face mask, "What did you say?"

"The person I bumped into was Z." There wasn't a hint of emotion on his face.

Bo Jiu paused and her eyes widened. With the help of her face mask, her entire face appeared innocent. "Brother Mo, you mean me and Z look alike?"

Qin Mo's lips curved upwards. He paused and straightened, whispering into her ear, "It's a pity you didn't go into acting."

Bo Jiu felt her heart sink but the corners of her eyes lifted with a hint of slyness. "Not going into acting is indeed a waste of my good looks."

In such a public location, there would definitely be many people looking in their direction.

Bo Jiu could hear the commotion from around them but that probably didn't affect the Almighty.

However, for the sake of Feng Yi, who was going to arrive, she decided to remind the Almighty. "Brother Mo, this is a filming set." Her intentions were clear, for him to restrain himself or Manager Feng would have to hold more drinking sessions to explain on their behalf.

With that, Qin Mo pinched her chin. He didn't lean forward for a kiss but from his stance, there wasn't much difference. "I guess we need another talk tonight."

Because of Qin Mo's tyranny action, the Chinese director had a new inspiration. Her eyes were so bright it was comparable to a car's headlight.

It was so bright that Bo Jiu pushed Qin Mo aside. "Brother Mo, there's someone looking."

At this moment, Manager Feng was so moved by her actions that he was almost in tears. Little Spade, you are indeed worthy of my care. I can always count on you to control Young Master Qin when he goes overboard with his intimate acts!

"Come, come, come." Feng Yi tugged on her arm firmly, pulling her to the corner.

He fought the shame as he did that, mainly due to the chilliness that was emitting from Qin Mo's gaze. His presence was simply overpowering. Feng Yi had no idea how Little Spade managed to tolerate this overwhelming aura. At the end of the day, Little Spade was probably just shameless.

The Chinese director was feeling joyous. "I just thought of a great idea! Hurry, move all the props over."

After being dismissed so easily, Yi Sihuo's face darkened immensely. He was a popular star at the moment. Did she know what she was doing? Did she really think an esports player could compete with his popularity?

Yi Sihuo had to admit that if Young Master Qin participated, the situation would change.

Hence, even if they had to film, he should be the one filming with Young Master Qin because the useless boy from the Fu family would just drag down the entire class of the advertisement.

Moreover, even if that useless boy could play the piano, he would always be beneath him as filming an advertisement wasn't an easy feat. Flexibility and the ability to position themselves was essential and the person being filmed would also have to possess a certain level of acting skill. Could that useless boy do all those?

"We are running out of time, everyone be on your guard." The Chinese director glanced over at Yi Sihuo, who was still seated.

Yi Sihuo wasn't that dumb, he knew that it wouldn't be good to drag it out any longer. Thus he stood up and spoke to his manager.

His manager nodded and walked towards Feng Yi. Coincidentally, the Chinese director was there as well. Yi Sihuo's manager had an entirely different attitude from before, he smiled before speaking, "Had we known of Young Master Qin's participation in this ad, Yi Sihuo would have agreed instantly but I guess this is all fate. Director Li, when can we start filming?"

Even though the Chinese director just came back from abroad, she was still part of this industry and knew that he had realized the position and background of Young Master Qin.

She handed over the script that had just been rewritten, her voice indifferent. "Change out of your outfit first before reading it."

Yi Sihuo was there too, irked by her attitude. Wasn't this little director aware of how small the industry was?

The manager was well aware of Yi Sihuos's frustration. Thus when he walked over, he whispered a few words into his ear. The gist was for him to restrain himself now that Young Master Qin was here as well.

"Of course I'm aware, don't worry." Yi Sihuo licked his lips, his eyes sinking. "I'll deal with this little director next time. As for the other one who wouldn't play his game obediently and has come over to film the same advert as me, I will let him know the difference between the both of us."

The manager was still worried. "That person came together with Young Master Qin, you..."

"I won't do it out in the open." Yi Sihuo laughed sinisterly. "Don't forget the storyline behind this advert, there are three main characters involved. Since someone is in such a rush to justify himself, I will let him know how difficult it is to be the main character."

The manager's pupils widened. "You intend to steal his scene?"

Stealing someone's scene was a commonly used term in the industry.

At the beginning, experienced actors would often utilize this tactic to teach rookies a lesson since there were some who didn't do their job well by not memorizing their lines and taking frequent breaks from filming to participate in variety programs, dragging the overall progress.

Thereafter, those experienced actors decided to steal their scenes as a form of retaliation.

It was especially common among actors of a similar popularity level. In order to appear more prominent, they would utilize this tactic.

But Yi Sihuo's manager would never have expected him to use this tactic on someone who had never acted before.

"What is it? You don't think it's a good idea?" Yi Sihuo glanced at him, his words pressuring. "Don't forget, there are three characters in this advert. The best way to show that I'm the ambassador is to appear more prominent."

The manager had the same thoughts, raising his thumb to show his approval.

On the other end, Bo Jiu was seated in the makeup room and was flipping through the newly edited script as she pondered how to escape the conversation with the Almighty later tonight.

The makeup artist was finding it difficult to start because Bo Jiu had long and thick lashes, which didn't need additional help. She could use a touch of eyeliner to emphasize her overall features though.

That would make her image the best fit for the character in the script.

But anything more... The makeup artist caressed her tender skin and exclaimed, "You have great skin, there won't be a need to use foundation."

With her face, anything more would just mask the original beauty.

With just a hint of eyeliner, she looked exactly like the male lead of a korean drama.

The Chinese director could barely wait and asked Bo Jiu, "Have you found the feeling?"

After Bo Jiu had seen the script, she was speechless since it was about a hacker.

For that... She didn't have to find the feeling.

Seeing the lack of response, the Chinese director assumed that she had never been in touch with that profession and was feeling anxious. She softened her tone and advised, "Don't worry, you just have to be natural. Even if you can't capture the feeling, your face itself is the perfect fit."

"Come, stand a little to the back." The Chinese director stood to the side and instructed for everyone else to leave the set. She raised the speaker, her eyes glowing when she shouted, "Everyone, prepare! First scene, first set, action!"

Swoosh!

The lighting behind the camera dimmed.

It was a billiard hall and a dim light shone down on her.

Then a tall and slender figure appeared beside the billiard table. He wasn't the least bit dark.

Instead, when the light fell on him, he looked almost as though he was glowing.

He stood there effortlessly, his gaze focused on a notebook. He raised his fingers as though he was bored, pulling open a can. His lips were curved into a smile.

The girls at the side were going crazy.

"I finally understand why everyone calls Young Master Qin the perfect beauty of Jiang City. He is just too handsome, Young Master Qin's future girlfriend sure is a lucky girl to be able to see such a face every single day."

"And that figure, Young Master Qin is practically a walking clothes hanger."

"Ah, ah, ah, I can't take it anymore, my nose is going to start bleeding."

When Qin Mo lifted his head to take a sip of the icy cold beer, his gaze shifted to the direction of the door when he sensed someone.

The cameras shifted in the direction of his gaze.

A youngster walked out of the door, wearing a black trench coat. He was slender and had a face mask over his face and his exposed eyes were extremely dark. His entire image seemed right out of a comic book, the whites and blacks clearly defined, being captured by the camera almost instantly.

At that moment, Yi Sihuo was there as well. He was also a character in the scene as he was playing on his black laptop, his gaze moving towards the approaching youngster. He was supposed to act as an aloof person but in order to appear more prominent, Yi Sihuo blocked Bo Jiu, speaking coldly, "I heard your skills aren't bad, how about a round?"

It was an impromptu additional which fit the scene hence, the Chinese director didn't call for a stop.

The moment she saw Bo Jiu walk out, she seemed to have forgotten that he wasn't an actor and had continued to film.

Bo Jiu still had the face mask on. She stuffed both hands into the pockets of her trench coat. Without even glancing at Yi Sihuo, she spoke through her face mask, "Not interested." The Chinese director was thoroughly impressed by her response and her current performance, which was exemplary. She was a perfect match to the character. It seemed as though the character had been brought alive!

Yi Sihuo hadn't expected such a response. He had wanted to use his acting ability to catch him off guard and increase the number of NGs. But with the current situation and with his response, the cameras glided past him to focus on Bo Jiu.

Anyone with acting skills would know that Yi Sihuo's scene had been stolen and with a vengeance but Bo Jiu couldn't be blamed. She wasn't very interested in him anyways.

Besides, he changed the script so abruptly and Bo Jiu was just responding as she naturally would since she was clear that the person she wanted to face was standing besides the billiard table—the Almighty.

From the screen, Bo Jiu had walked past Yi Sihuo. She placed the laptop which was fastened at the shoulder onto the table and started to type.

Bo Jiu had always typed fast but the Chinese director was still startled. She had wanted to include a backend typing voiceover since there weren't many people with a speed she was satisfied with. But now, that was completely unnecessary...

Chapter 964

How could anyone type at that speed?

Moreover, the youngster was born to be on the screen as her every move had caught the film crew off guard.

Even though it was just an advert, they were intrigued and wanted to see how the story would unfold.

It wasn't just because of the storyline, it was more due to the magnetizing draw between the youngster and Young Master Qin.

The Chinese director was so impressed that she forgot her own task. She moved the lens towards the youngster who was typing on her laptop and zoomed in, giving her a close-up shot on the silver symbol that had lit up. It was a stark contrast to the youngster's silver hair.

It was three seconds of screen time. The next second, the scene changed.

Someone reached over towards the youngster from across the billiard table, his tall and slender figure lowered. With a sharp nose, thin lips, and the deep color of his pupils, he definitely attracted many chicks.

He hadn't so much as glanced at the pretty girls in the background. Instead, he was focused on the youngster, his sexy lips upturned into an ambiguous smile.

This was Qin Mo.

Bo Jiu glanced up, their eyes colliding. In that moment, the laptop's shell was extremely prominent.

The magnetizing pull between the both of them amplified.

Even though their gaze appeared guarded as they approached each other, there seemed to be a hint of intimacy.

Were they really not a couple?

That was the question everyone had when they watched the scene while some of them were impressed with the director for crafting the scene.

This advertisement was going to be big!

With just that scene alone, no one could neglect the laptop between them.

Yi Sihuo had another second of airtime, but no one paid attention to him.

Instead, the moment Qin Mo spoke, everyone was drawn in.

"Who are you?"

That was his line, a short three words but because of his actions, and the way he looked at the youngster's thin lips, it was extremely alluring.

Bo Jiu stood up before she walked around the billiard time and casually grabbed onto a cue.

When she moved, her trench coat inched upwards. She removed it with one hand and pushed the cue downwards, leaning forward and aiming at one of the colored balls on the table.

With a sharp swoosh, the colored ball curved around the silver laptop into the net. The sharp sound alone was enough to show it had been a perfect shot.

At that moment, a commotion erupted. To prevent affecting the filming, they hurriedly covered their mouths and turned to Bo Jiu.

He was simply ravishing!

Once again, the Chinese director was struck. She hurriedly shifted the camera lens to capture the scene!

When the youngster was in action, her shirt unraveled slightly, exposing her fair skin. The angle was perfect.

Qin Mo's gaze paused there, the color of his pupils darkening.

The youngster kept the cue and grabbed her trench coat from the billiard table. She swung it over her shoulder casually, glancing over at Qin Mo with a devilish smile. "Why should I tell you?"

With that, she turned around with a carefree vibe.

While Qin Mo stood there, watching her back view like a devil, he placed his fingers on the laptop and shut it lightly, the corner of his thin lips upturned, a hint of a smile lingering. "Heh."

The advert ended with the shutting of the laptop, other than the logo of the laptop was a line. "To be continued..."

Ka-cha!

That indicated the end of filming.

The Chinese director stood up and applauded.

The others could no longer keep their agitation. Previously, they were afraid to disrupt the filming but now, all of them stood up and cheered since it was rare even for seasoned actors to end with just one take.

More importantly, filming the advert didn't just require fast typing speed, it also required that billiard shot, which tested the actor's billiard playing skills.

The crew had intended to do some adjustments after the filming.

Who knew Spade Z didn't just accomplish both actions, more importantly, she managed to do it so suavely, turning the advert into a movie? It surely wasn't an easy feat.

The atmosphere at the filming set was more than enthusiastic.

When Bo Jiu walked back, all of the crew had a fangirl-like expression.

As for Yi Sihuo, no one bothered about his whereabouts anymore. His face sunk entirely. He wanted to make a fuss but didn't have the courage hence, he swallowed his frustration. He had no desire to watch the end product because the stolen scene from before was the useless boy's attempt to humiliate him. Yi Sihuo wasn't pleased with his crushed personality, he tossed his jacket and walked out with his manager.

Everyone on set could tell he wasn't pleased.

But so, what if they did? With his attempt to steal the scene, everyone could tell he had something on his sleeve.

A professional actor was trying to bully someone who had never acted before but it ended up backfiring – that was indeed a humiliation.

Yi Sihuo was still hoping someone from the set would stop him. After he left, he asked his manager, "Did anyone follow us?"

As the manager shook his head, Yi Sihuo raised his feet and slammed it at the trash bin at the side. "What the f*ck."

The manager immediately tried to placate him. "It's just an advertisement and the director is new after all, even with Young Master Qin there, there won't be much commercial value in it. You are a candidate for the movie Director William is filming, this is nothing compared to that."

With that, he was instantly appeased. "Look into that little director and see what she has accomplished. With such an attitude, she should stop directing."

"I understand, I'll look into right now." The manager took out his phone and dialed a familiar number. "Manager Li? Look at what you're saying, it isn't anything explosive this time but there's someone I need help looking into, the director of the ad."

After listening to the manager's words, Manager Li replied faintly. With that, the manager's face fell.

Yi Sihuo couldn't hear the content and could only see his manager's face. He frowned impatiently and asked, "What did he say? Where did that little director come from?"

The manager's hand fell as he muttered, "Director William..."

Yi Sihuo replied, "I'm asking you where that little director came from, why are you telling me about Director William?"

His manager was pale, he raised his lids towards Yi Sihuo. "She came over with Director William, she is the only disciple he has ever acknowledged."

With that, Yi Sihuo's expression changed instantly, even his lips had frozen. He wanted to go back in but there wasn't any way he could do it. Since he had caused a fit before he left, going back in would be embarrassing.

How could that little director be Director William's disciple?!

Yi Sihuo was about to go crazy, his anger and humiliation went up a notch.

His manager dragged him to the nanny van, afraid he would cause trouble. The manager knew they didn't just lose an advert this time, it was so much more...

The film set was as boisterous as before. No one noticed the tiny corner of the set. There was a foreigner who had been watching, his assistant beside him. He had been sitting there since the start of filming and was focused on Bo Jiu's every move.

He had a thought. Even if this person had a horrible reputation, he had to act as the hacker in his movie!

"Did you see that, did you see the expression on that youngster when he typed and when he played billiards? He is the one I am looking for!" Old William couldn't be blamed for his agitation because he had seen too many profiles but not one of them was like the youngster, who could stun him every single time. "He is perfect, both his appearance and personality are the right fit, he has to take the role, he has to do it!" Old William could barely control his excitement, bolting upright as he spoke.

Bo Jiu had already changed into her own clothes and was walking out of the set.

Qin Mo hadn't left as there were still details that needed to be ironed out.

Bo Jiu came out to buy medicine. She would be fine as long as she took the medicine within 24 hours.

On her way out, Bo Jiu took the black face mask with her. She covered her face and was prepared to cross the road.

"Wait a minute!"

The person's Chinese wasn't very fluent because the three words he uttered carried a heavy overseas accent.

Bo Jiu turned in the direction of the voice.

It was an old foreigner, wearing a vintage looking Chinese tunic suit, which made him look refined and cultured. For a foreigner to look that way, he properly had a certain level of experience.

"I saw you film the advert just now and would like to ask if you are interested in participating in a movie?" Old William asked the question straight, he didn't care about any of the ignorant demands the youngster would eventually give in order to become famous. He would agree to anything as long as Bo Jiu maintained the same aura he had shown in the advert. The perfection of the movie was of utmost importance after all.

However, the response caught him off guard because the youngster replied with a simple word. "No."

She replied in an indifferent tone and seemed to be in a rush as she took another step forward.

Old William froze for a second before adding, "Perhaps you don't know who I am but you must have heard of Hollywood."

The youngster paused, raising a brow. "I don't care who you are and I am not interested in filming."

Old William never expected such a response. Wasn't he always trying to find ways to become famous?

"Filming movies can give you more exposure than playing esports." Old William took a second and decided to add, "That wasn't what I meant, I meant to say that you are a natural actor, don't you wish to try it out?"

"I don't." Bo Jiu was intent on getting her medicine because by the time the Almighty was done discussing his matters, she wouldn't get the chance.

Once again, Old William was stumped as this was the first time someone he wanted didn't want to act in his movie.

"But you did so well just now, is there a reason you don't wish to act?"

Seeing how persistent he was, she decided to just cross the road. "There isn't a reason."

Even the assistant was caught off guard. All these years, there hadn't been anyone who had rejected an offer by Director William.

He was a director that created stars. If someone acted as the main lead of his movie, they would immediately become a common face with world class status despite their previous situation since the director's world class status was a fact widely acknowledged and the films he directed always carried the same stunning effect.

Many Chinese celebrities were hoping to be chosen after they received the news that he was casting someone here. But this youngster...

The assistant walked over and whispered to Bo Jiu.

Bo Jiu arched her brow again.

The assistant chuckled. "Introductions are necessary before any discussion, Director William was just too excited seeing how you are the perfect fit to the movie. Would you like to reconsider?"

"No," Bo Jiu replied without hesitation and with a devilish charm unique to her, she added, "I'm busy and since you are a world class director, you should stop following me or someone might get a shot."

The assistant assumed his world class status would solve the issue. But from the looks of things... This youngster didn't seem to have any intentions on acting.

The assistant turned towards his boss. "The information we received previously doesn't seem very accurate. If he is really that determined to be famous, he would never reject such an opportunity."

Director William had also realized that. But he had seen his attitude as well, he couldn't be moved by anything. He started to turn anxious. "Think about it, what would attract a youngster like him, didn't he film this advert today?"

The assistant took a moment and replied, "We will have to ask Movie Queen An."

Director William replied, "Hurry, it would be best if we have a meal to talk about it."

"Mmh."

Neither of them had expected to be rejected. If the media knew about this, it would definitely cause a stir. William wasn't bothered about someone finding out as long as he could invite the youngster to act in his film...

Qin Mo had already finished talking about his matters. He glanced over at the staff and asked, "Where is Young Master Jiu?"

The staff member took a while before she realized he was referring to Big Spade. Watching Almighty Qin from such a short distant made her blush. "Ah? Big Spade asked me where the nearest pharmacy was, he should be out getting medicine."

"Buying medicine?" Qin Mo frowned.

The staff replied, "Yeah, he should be getting flu medicine, he might have caught a cold from the weather."

"Where is the pharmacy?" Qin Mo had always been indifferent yet polite towards outsiders.

But even so, the female staff couldn't help blabbering from the extended conversation they were having. "It's right beside the filming set after the traffic light. It is very recognizable."

"Thank you." With that, Qin Mo took his phone and walked in the direction she had given him...

Chapter 965

Little Jiu wasn't very knowledgeable about oral contraceptives but she knew had to do it under the radar.

There weren't many patrons in the pharmacy, just a few scattered around the store and fortunately, they were all middle-aged women. It would be horrible if it had been younger girls and they had recognized her. Although she personally didn't really mind but Manager Feng would definitely go crazy. It would be best if news of an esports player buying contraceptive didn't spread.

Bo Jiu fastened her face mask in place and scanned the store but couldn't locate the pills she was searching for. Such pills were probably restricted pills that couldn't be placed on the racks. It seemed like she had to consult the pharmacist.

Bo Jiu sighed internally, heading towards the counter. "Hello, I need a pack of oral contraceptive."

The pharmacist behind the counter glanced up at Bo Jiu. "Which brand are you looking for?"

There were brands?

This was the first time she felt ignorant thus she decided to go for the most conservative reply. "The brand with the best result."

The pharmacist shook his head, muttering under his breath. "The youngsters these days..."

She wasn't really that young but in her past life, she had never experienced such things before.

If it had been a better time, she would have wanted to bring the Almighty's child back to the Fifth Avenue with her. But now... Bo Jiu tightened her grip over her phone. She had no choice.

"$25. Cash or Alipay?" the pharmacist asked as he scanned the barcode.

As Bo Jiu didn't think it was a good time to use her phone, she reached for her pocket. But she realized she didn't have cash. In the end, she inhaled deeply. She could only use her phone. "WeChat pay?"

"Okay," the pharmacist replied expressionless.

Bo Jiu swiped open her phone and received a message from the Almighty with three words. "Where are you?"

Guilt washed through her as she glanced at his profile picture. Her fingers hesitated slightly but she did not reply. Instead, she tapped on the payment app.

After the pharmacist scanned the barcode, she passed the box of pills over to Bo Jiu.

Bo Jiu glanced down, her silver hair falling forward as she reached for the medicine.

At that moment, a familiar, deep voice came from above her head. "Shouldn't you be explaining your actions?"

Bo Jiu felt a chill run through her back. She had only one wish at that moment, for the Almighty to be as clueless as she was in a certain area.

The outreached arm stiffened and she hurriedly stuffed the pills into her pocket. She moved at a speed faster than when she gamed. After she had kept the pills, Bo Jiu glanced over to face the hostile cold stare.

She had never seen the Almighty wear such an expression. His gaze was so deep it was almost hollow.

Before she could say anything, he reached his hand out to pull the hand she had stuffed into her pocket. His voice was as calm as the sea before a thunderstorm. "What is this?"

Bo Jiu opened her mouth, her throat moving. "Medicine."

"What medicine?" There wasn't a hint of emotion on his handsome face but the chilliness that radiated from him was enough to freeze the surroundings.

Bo Jiu didn't reply as she didn't know how to explain.

Qin Mo glanced over at the word 'contraception'. He wanted to tear her into bits and swallow her whole. That way, she would know who exactly she was. That way, she wouldn't be here buying these pills. That way, she wouldn't be thinking of leaving even at this moment.

Qin Mo lowered himself, grabbing the pills in her palms.

Bo Jiu watched as the box of pills started to disfigure in his palm. He used the kind of strength that could destroy someone. But there wasn't a change in his expression. And that was how Bo Jiu knew he was really angry.

Bo Jiu glanced down to look at the box of pills. He used a tone she had never heard before. "I asked you to wait at your original spot but you never did. Before I sleep, I would wonder what that arrogant Little Jiu is doing and that thought would keep me awake till the next morning and that way, I would be less time away from her. It was the first time I had the desire to kiss someone and yet, I restrained myself. You must not understand how that feels, which is why you are buying such pills."

"I..." Bo Jiu wanted to say something but the Almighty didn't seem willing to hear it. "Do you think I'm illiterate or that I don't know this brand? If you don't wish to be together, let's break up."

With that, the Almighty turned, leaving her to face a distant and untouchable silhouette.

Bo Jiu had seen that silhouette many times before she had gotten close to him. But it had never been like this, leaving her breathless.

Unknowingly, it had started to rain.

When Bo Jiu came out, the Almighty was no longer in sight. He must have left in the Qin family's car.

Bo Jiu toyed with her fingers, her gaze sinking. She stood under the rain, her hair dampening.

She stood upright but had never been as listless as she was right now. She was like a soaked little tiger, who didn't know how to warm herself up.

Or perhaps, the person who could bring her warmth had left, which was the reason she didn't seem bothered.

That was her state when Feng Yi had rushed over. He had never seen the devilish youngster in such a state before.

Had the two of them fought? That was Feng Yi's first reaction.

Where was Boss Qin?

He glanced around in search of him. As he couldn't find him, Feng Yi was sure they had indeed gotten into a fight.

He reached out to caress his temples. He felt an impending headache.

If even Little Spade was acting this way, he could only imagine how Young Master Qin was feeling. This was going to be a bad day. It seemed like the various department managers weren't going to have a good time.

But what could have caused a quarrel of this extent?

With Young Master Qin's personality, even if he was angry, he would punish Little Spade in private. How could he have just left him here?

Feng Yi frowned. He brought Bo Jiu to the car since she was getting soaked from the rain. Then he tried to communicate with her. "Wasn't everything alright just a moment ago? How did buying medicine end up like that?"

Bo Jiu replied with a "Mmh." She glanced out of the window, water droplets trailing down the ends of her silver hair but she didn't seem to care. She turned her head to the side, not letting anyone see her expression.

All she could think about was his last words. "If you don't want to be together, let's break up."

Leaving was only a matter of time. Even if she was unwilling, there wasn't any other option.

She had overestimated her tolerance because just a sentence could affect her so much.

If she waited until the Almighty found out about her identity, she probably couldn't tolerate the reaction she was going to be faced with.

Bo Jiu reached out to comb her fringe down. When her phone started to ring again, her voice was slightly raspy.

It was a call from the school, her dorm application was ready and the school wanted her to send her luggage over. She would have to follow the normal protocol even if she still participated in the National League.

In reality, Bo Jiu wasn't in the mood to hear anything but it was best to be kept occupied so that her thoughts could be diverted.

If she stayed in school, it wouldn't be that abrupt when she left.

Bo Jiu kept prolonging the process. She knew the sudden disappearance of someone would never be great for anyone. But if everyone knew that a wanted criminal had been amongst them, He Honghua would definitely be shocked and she didn't wish to see that.

This time, she had used her identity, meaning there were people who knew she was back. That included those that wanted her dead. If her identity was exposed, He Honghua might be in danger. Hence, she had to leave.

Just like back then when she had to leave her pet regardless of how unwilling she had been.

Bo Jiu could still remember that night, after climbing the wall, she had used a huge amount of strength to enter his room. In order to prevent an ambush from her in the middle of the night, he would keep plants around on his balcony.

At that time, she had completely disregarded the plants. After she had entered his room and seen his sleeping figure, she had stepped forward to plant a kiss on his face.

Kidnapping him had crossed her mind since she had enough strength. But Bo Jiu had known that her pet wouldn't have wanted to go with her because he had things he wanted to do and his own family members. It would be a bore to watch her type every day.

Besides, he would be faced with danger.

Her father had once mentioned that the Young Master of the Hacker World wasn't suited to have friends...

It was still raining. The raindrops were trickling down the car window.

The Land Rover had great water protection, especially those used by the army. The sound of raindrops hitting the car could barely be heard.

But because of that, the driver didn't dare to utter a word. Ever since his young master boarded the car, he hadn't said a word.

Young Master had never liked rainy days and wouldn't go out during such weather. This time, he probably made the exception because of Young Master Jiu.

But where was Young Master Jiu?

The driver didn't ask aloud because of the chilliness that erupted from his young master.

Qin Mo didn't feel much. Ever since the beginning, his hands hadn't loosened because of the box of pills within his palm.

The box was so crushed up, the words could barely be read. But Qin Mo's fingers remained firm as ever, not a hint of softening.

If it hadn't been for the box of pills, perhaps he could tell himself that he meant something to her.

Even though she carried so many secrets, in front of him, she was sincere and wasn't against towards their relationship.

But now, he was the only one that wanted to be with her. He was practically forcing her.

In her heart, perhaps, he wasn't that different.

He had misunderstood, he had assumed they were special to each other.

It was like he had taken a step confidently only to realize there wasn't a step in front. He crashed and smashed his head, blood pouring out. The overwhelming pain was clouding his senses.

Qin Mo released his left hand and glanced out of the car window.

When the car entered the military courtyard, he was still in the same position as before.

Movie Queen An had just finished shopping with He Honghua and had wanted to have a chat with Jiu, she hadn't expected him to not be there when she opened the car door.

This?

Movie Queen An raised her brows and studied her son's face.

Qin Mo walked out of the car, he didn't care if rain was splattering onto him as he left a faint line. "I'm tired, I'll head up now."

The smart Movie Queen An instantly detected a problem and had wanted to probe but on second thought, she concluded that a parent shouldn't be meddling in her son's relationship.

After entering his room, Qin Mo acted as though nothing had happened. He unbuttoned his shirt and tossed his shirt aside before entering the shower.

He stood under the shower, allowing the water to smash down his head, to clear his mind.

He was indeed much clearer than before, at least he knew how a certain someone really felt.

On deeper thought, there wasn't anything good about her. She never listened to him and had never really cared about him.

When did he have to relegate to such a state?

Qin Mo chuckled, but the laughter didn't reach his eyes.

The chilliness that radiated from him didn't seem to be lessening, instead, it thickened after he left the shower.

He sat there and watched the opened laptop, his neck stretching back. "Enough." Indeed, it was enough.

Even though that was what he said, after he had gone down, Movie Queen An noticed the difference in her son.

He kept glancing at his phone as though he was waiting for something. But every time he saw the screen, his gaze dimmed. When there was finally a message, it was from his secretary.

"I'm going to the office."

Qin Mo stood up. This was the first time he wanted to be kept busy.

As time trickled by, in No.1 Middle School dormitory, as the last student to register, the dorm caretaker wasn't very pleased but she didn't make things difficult for Bo Jiu.

The news of her entering the school dorm spread across the entire school almost instantly. Of course, there was a crowd waiting.

Those that stayed in the dorm paused to sweep her a glance.

Since having the school hunk stay here wasn't something they could be happy about. Moreover, their school hunk was an esports celebrity which was more reason for the girls to be attracted.

There wasn't any more hope for them.

But some had a more positive view. With Bo Jiu's arrival, some things were going to be much easier, for instance, $5 for a photo of the school hunk.

No one knew that Bo Jiu chose to move on this day entirely because she wanted to keep herself busy.

Chapter 966

The environment in the male dormitory was common knowledge to any student that stayed in and could be described with three words, "Dirty, messy and bad."

Bo Jiu walked in with her leather case.

The person who was using the kettle to cook instant noodles hurriedly pulled the plug. He turned towards the others, his expression in disbelief that the school hunk was staying in their dorm room.

With Bo Jiu, there were a total of six occupants and among them was the thorn-headed kid from No.1 Middle School.

The thorn-headed kid smirked, not at all pleased to see Bo Jiu. He turned a stinky eye to his side and was planning on walking over in an impressive manner.

Bo Jiu tossed her leather case aside and stuffed her hands into her pocket. The school uniform she was wearing was half unbuttoned as she stood there tall and upright. It was more imposing than when she had entered the school as even her eyes were cold and frosty. "I'm not in a good mood today, you better not mess with me."

The thorn-headed kid was even more displeased. Didn't this new guy know about the dormitory rules? How could he act so arrogantly in his territory? What was the meaning of this!

"Are you tired of living..." Before the thorn-headed kid could finish his sentence, the hand that reached towards the youngster was twisted into a beautiful and sharp move.

Bang!

The thorn-headed kid was slightly giddy from the smash. He looked up the ceiling lights and shook his head. F*ck, why didn't anyone tell him what a good fighter he was!

Bo Jiu glanced down. "First, I'm in a bad mood and second, you were trying to pick a fight and I don't have a high tolerance."

The thorn-headed kid was still nursing his wound.

One of the other occupants, the one who was cooking instant noodles, had always been a fan of Bo Jiu, and with her current display, he sighed. The gaming master was actually a master in real life as well.

The thorn-headed kid was satisfied with the punishment. His attitude took a 180 degree turn after he stood up. He made a space for Bo Jiu and brought her refreshments.

Bo Jiu sat on the only wooden chair in the dorm and was starting to get a headache. She hadn't expected to be such a tyrant but the persona she had created could no longer be altered.

"Boss, don't worry, no one dares to offend our room." The thorn-headed kid directed a tiny electric fan towards Bo Jiu while continuing to update her on the latest gossip. "But, Boss, why did you suddenly decide to stay in school? Shouldn't hardworking students be studying at home?"

Bo Jiu glanced at him. "According to what you just said, those that stay in school aren't hard working students? I'm here to experience life."

Experience life? The thorn-headed kid sighed deeply, he would never understand the mind of an intellectual.

Bo Jiu didn't forget to scrutinize the surrounding. "I have a condition."

A condition? The other five occupants eyed each other.

"Even though I don't do my homework, I can still solve some questions. I can help with school work but similarly, I don't wish to see these in the room." Bo Jiu pointed to the dirty socks that were tossed everywhere. "And this, we are all hunks with knowledge of basic respect, it would be alright to go topless in this weather but it would be too much to work around in just your brief. Those with good figures can flaunt but those without would just be flaunting your bottom line."

Those in just their boxer shorts felt as though they were targeted but all of them were agreeable about the hunks part.

"Most importantly, there might be girls coming to visit in the future." Bo Jiu stood at the window and glanced down at the girls who were patrolling on the ground floor. She wasn't the least bit doubtful of their attacking ability. "Some of them might even take photos, I'm sure none of us wants to have bad photo being taken since that would affect chances of getting a girlfriend."

With the last sentence, those wearing just their boxer shorts hid under their blankets.

Those that have never cared about their appearance changed into another set of clothes and arranged themselves in front of the mirror. With the school hunk as a roommate, their appearance would have to match up.

In the past, girls barely gave them a glance but from today onwards, girls would come in queues hence, they had to start on basic self-care!

The atmosphere was rather harmonious.

But someone suddenly remarked, "With Young Master Jiu here, does that mean Young Master Qin will come as well? And also my favorite Almighty Lin Feng?"

Towards the end, Bo Jiu was no longer listening. The words 'Young Master Jiu' seemed to have struck a nerve. It was not painful but the memory of it made her mood dip.

"Think about it, how will it look if the entire Supreme Alliance team appeared in our dorm! Just Young Master Qin alone would cause a huge stir." The person had completely sunk into his imagination.

Bo Jiu glanced up, her voice faint. "He won't come."

"Ah?" Her roommates showed a confused face. Why did Young Master Jiu's expression look a little like... he had broken up? No, no, they couldn't make such wild guesses.

In the past, they definitely believed the rumors that Young Master Jiu was gay.

But from the looks of it, which gay was this strong?

Indeed, the rumors couldn't be trusted.

But why did Young Master Jiu suddenly stay in school? That was still a mystery they hadn't solved.

"Do you have cigarettes?" the youngster asked abruptly, interrupting their thoughts. "Give me one."

He smoked too? That was totally unlike the intellectual school hunk persona in their heart!

"Lao Er, watch the corridor, shout when you see the caregiver."

With a command from the thorn-headed kid, the one wearing boxer shorts went straight into action. Their team work was on point. It seemed as if they had done this several times in the past.

Smoking had always been a group event. It was common for everyone to have a stick in a high school dorm but it was hard for them to believe that the school hunk smoked.

Bo Jiu didn't bother looking at the surprise expression they had, she tilted her head to light a stick and stood by the window, not willing to move.

"Hey, don't you think the school hunk seems to be in a daze?"

"He seems completely different from the time he slammed me onto the ground."

"He's probably thinking about the competition. Didn't you see his teamwork with Young Master Qin? It was amazing!"

When she heard the words Young Master Qin again, she turned. "Did I forget to mention that I was in a bad mood?"

She made her stand the moment she entered the dorm room, it was obvious to anyone of them she wasn't in a good mood. But why?

"You want to know the reason?" Bo Jiu tapped her cigarette, her gaze deepening.

The five roommates glanced up at the youngster, nodding in unison.

Bo Jiu glanced up, her voice chilly. "I was dumped by Young Master Qin."

Everyone: ... Weren't you straight!?

With that, the room was finally peaceful again and no one mentioned Young Master Qin's name.

Bo Jiu extinguished the cigarette butt before she glanced down at her phone and hesitated for a long while but didn't send the message out.

Her roommates didn't dare to spread information about her since Young Master Jiu had such formidable martial art skills.

But Young Master Jiu was probably the only one who could look so handsome after breaking up.

She smoked two cigarettes continuously but there wasn't any change to her emotions, Bo Jiu leaned against the wall, she wasn't really that suave but the smoke filled the entire room, casting a cloud over them.

Her roommates felt a need to celebrate the arrival of a new boss. "Let's have a meal together, the Dapanji at the school entrance is a must-eat!"

Bo Jiu glanced towards them. Going out seemed like a good idea, she would be moodier if she continued to stay.

"Let's go." Bo Jiu reached out to extinguish her cigarette butt before walking through the door.

Today, No.1 Middle School had a different atmosphere.

The other five walked in front while the youngster trailed behind with hands stuffed in her pocket. She still wore her black face mask and was looking down at her phone.

The girls passing them felt their heart race. Ever since Bo Jiu participated in the National League, she hadn't been to school much. Thus, living in school like she was right now was a benefit for the school girls.

The legendary Dapanji was directly in front of the school gate, they could see it after crossing a road.

The summer vacation hadn't started yet and the heat hadn't reached an excruciating level. Opening a table outside the store and having a meal with the natural wind was considered a luxury for the male students. Beer was definitely a must. Besides, she didn't have classes and was mainly here to check in.

The thorn-headed kid brought beer bottles over. Just as he was about to pour Bo Jiu some, he realized she had already taken a bottle for herself. Bo Jiu pulled the cap with her teeth before downing it.

The five roommates were left in shock once again. They watched as the youngster downed the beer so nonchalantly and wondered what sort of person the school hunk of No.1 Middle School really was.

Seeing how Bo Jiu kept looking at his phone, one of them couldn't help asking, "Young Master Jiu, what are you looking at so intently?"

"Nothing." Bo Jiu shut her WeChat and downed another mouthful of beer.

He didn't think there was anything great about the phone either and wasn't sure Young Master Jiu was staring at the blank WeChat page.

Throughout the meal, Bo Jiu didn't eat much as she continued to drink in silence. They ate by the roadside, with cars driving by. While she was biting open the fourth beer bottle, Bo Jiu paused as there was a familiar looking military Land Rover driving in their direction. It had a special car plate, the only one in the entire Jiang City.

Bo Jiu recognized the car, her roommates did as well. One of them asked, "Isn't that Young Master Qin's car?" When he caught on to the situation, he immediately shut his mouth.

It was indeed the car he frequently drove. As the windows weren't shut, his perfect side profile was in full view.

The driver seemed to have noticed them, he stopped the car and called out, „Young Master, it's Young Master Jiu."

Qin Mo glanced over in her direction before instruction emotionlessly, "Go."

The driver was confused. Whenever they had been in such a situation, Young Master would get Young Master Jiu to board the car but today...

The roommates eating their chicken turned over in his direction. The very next second, the Land Rover drove off. They turned to watch the youngster's expression.

Bo Jiu remained silent. She retracted her gaze and ordered another dozen beer.

Her roommates were startled. If she continued drinking, the one who had broken up would remain fine while the others fell.

Honestly, the school hunk was a little terrifying when he broke up...

On the other end, the Land Rover was still driving forward but it didn't go fast. Firstly, because the driver was still in shock and secondly, because his Young Master was staring at the rear-view mirror and hadn't rushed him to speed him.

Instead, he seemed to be waiting for someone.

Qin Mo was indeed waiting. He watched the rear mirror, hoping to see the youngster chasing after him. But she didn't. Just like the countless times he looked at his phone, telling himself that if she sent a text, regardless of his position in her heart, he would try not to be so overbearing.

Reality was telling him yet again that that person didn't care about him at all. Feelings were akin to multiplication, as long as one party had zero of them, the result would end with a zero.

Qin Mo glanced over, his gaze dim.

The driver wasn't sure what was on his mind. Qin Mo kept looking out of the car window and when they finally left that road, his gaze started to change, turning more listless than before.

It was how he had been before he had met Young Master Jiu. He hadn't been interested in anything. There wasn't much change to his emotions, his gaze hollow.

That version of him was worrying...

The scenery outside the window flew past as time trickled by.

Bo Jiu didn't continue to drink. Instead, she took out her wallet and footed the bill. She glanced over, her roommate was still vomiting in a corner.

She lit another cigarette. She had never smoked so many cigarettes. She had only smoked half a cigarette when she wanted to stop her period cramps but she couldn't seem to stop now. Perhaps she had never imagined that person treating her as an ordinary passerby, brushing past her so nonchalantly.

Her heart clenched. If she thought about it, it was probably the lightest punishment. After the Almighty found out about her real identity, would he treat her with a hostility that was a hundred times harsher?

No one could tell.

It was best to keep herself occupied as she might be able to loosen up that way. It was so they could act naturally the next time they met, during the Finals for the National League.

Bo Jiu knew she hadn't handled the matter well, but the Almighty didn't know that his feelings were directed to her exterior, the school student that wasn't her true self. In reality, the real her wasn't that innocent. Underneath that exterior was an international criminal.

He once said he would arrest Z personally and send her to prison. Bo Jiu didn't regret her path but sometimes, she would yearn for a partner to work alongside her. Bo Jiu was more than aware though that they walked on different paths.

Their solutions wouldn't be the same. The Almighty used the law while she dealt with matters with her own methods. If she could, she wished to be someone he broke up with and not a wanted criminal...

At the Qin Group's clubhouse, several laptops were switched on at the same time.

There was a meeting in progress. Anyone with eyes could tell that Boss Qin wasn't in a good mood. He was in such a horrible mood that he wasn't paying attention to the meeting. But that wasn't a bad thing as it was less torturous for the managers. Other than the trepidation, everything else seemed to be fine.

As the words "Meeting adjourned" were announced, all the managers fled the room.

Feng Yi wanted to bring up the matter with Little Spade but from the look of things, nothing good would come to anyone who mentioned that name.

Qin Mo stood up. He moved his fingers and seemed to have felt something. He turned to look over and there laid a silver USB lighter...

Chapter 967

Qin Mo could still remember the time he received the lighter. He had held it in his palm and couldn't seem to get enough of it, his entire spirit lifted. He didn't allow anyone but himself to touch it. Hence, it had always been by his side.

Qin Mo knew that she didn't know what day it was. He could tell from her faltering gaze, the guilt from forgetting. He had given her this the very next day. He couldn't bear to let go of it because it was a gift from her. At the end of the day, he had used tricks in order to obtain this gift.

Qin Mo tightened his grip, his gaze sinking.

"Captain..." Coco had just completed a livestream and was still dressed in the battle attire. He wanted to use the break time for some rest and seek out comfort from his captain. As the public relations representative of the team, Coco ran into problems frequently and since he hadn't met Manager Feng yet, he hadn't been warned of Qin Mo's bad mood.

Qin Mo glanced over when he heard his voice.

Coco leaned back, his two front teeth exposed. He reached out and tugged his battle attire. "Captain, could you and Little Spade attend the next Q&A segment of the livestream? About 80 percent of the questions were seeking clarification about your relationship with Little Spade. I told them the both of you are friends but they wouldn't believe me and since I'm not a good liar, I almost fell into their trap."

After such a long stretch of complain, his captain hadn't bothered to even glance at him. Coco wasn't willing to let it go so easily. He leaped over as he sipped on a yogurt drink, his eyes staring straight at Qin Mo.

His captain, however, didn't bother looking at him as he toyed with something.

Coco studied it for a moment but couldn't understand the fascination of that little thing.

After he was done with his yogurt, Coco threw the packet and asked, "Captain, what is that?"

Coco's question seemed to have finally caught Qin Mo's attention.

"Lighter," Qin Mo replied faintly as though there wasn't anything special with it.

Coco widened his eyes. "This is a lighter? Why is it shaped like this? It looks good, where did you buy it?"

Qin Mo didn't reply.

Even then, Coco didn't sense his foul mood. Instead, he continued to eye the pure silver lighter, growing fonder. "Can I try lighting a cigarette?"

"What cigarette." Qin Mo arched a brow, tossing the lighter to the side. "It's such a hideous thing."

"Hideous?" Coco watched his captain's face. There didn't seem to be any emotion hence, the naive Coco assumed he just didn't like the design. "Captain, if you find it ugly, give it to me. I'm quite fond of the design."

Qin Mo glanced over at Coco. His gaze was so cold Coco felt his hair stand. He thought he had said something wrong, the outstretched arm freezing.

What did Captain mean? He had already said it was ugly. Didn't that mean he didn't like it? But from his gaze, it seemed as though he wanted to chop off his arm.

Just as Coco thought his captain was going to say something mean, a faint voice replied, "Up to you"

Up to me? Did Captain mean he could take the lighter? But that wasn't what his gaze meant...

Coco reconfirmed once again. "Can I really take it with me?"

"Didn't I say it is up to you?" Qin Mo sat on the lambskin leather chair, his long fair fingers flipping the document at his side, not a hint of warmth in his voice. He was practically an iceberg.

Seeing his hostile expression, Coco decided to keep his mouth shut. He reached out gingerly to touch the electronic lighter. When there wasn't much reaction from his captain, he became bolder, placing the lighter in his pocket. He turned and was prepared to leave.

Right at that moment, the fingers on the document paused. When he regained his senses, he had already spoken, "Put it back."

Coco turned back towards his captain. His gaze was filled with shock since this was the first time his captain had ever gotten back on his words.

When Qin Mo caught sight of his gaze, his voice dimmed. "You can choose something else, haven't you always been fond of my mouse?"

That immediately caught Coco's attention. He placed the lighter back on the table, leaping over excitedly. "Captain, do you mean I can take that mouse?"

"Mmh," Qin Mo replied, placing the lighter back into his palm.

Obviously, Coco had caught his actions as well. He couldn't understand his captain's actions.

He cherished it so much even though he said it wasn't important. Captain's mouse was a limited edition, both the feel of it and the exterior were all top notch. Captain wasn't even willing to let him touch it in the past but now, he was willing to sacrifice his mouse in order to take the lighter back. But it didn't seem important either since his captain seemed to have wanted to toss it away. What was he thinking?

Coco was still trying to figure it out when Feng Yi pulled him off for more work. Coco told Manager Feng everything that had happened, so that he could help analyze the situation.

But after Manager Feng had heard what had happened, his frown deepened. It seemed like he would have to intervene.

After Coco left the CEO office, everything was peaceful again.

Qin Mo looked down at the lighter in his palm and swiped his phone once more. There weren't any new notifications in his WeChat.

That was what Feng Yi saw when he entered the room. "Why don't you just call Little Spade if you want to talk to him?"

Qin Mo glanced up, his voice cold and distant. "Do you have too much leisure time?"

"How is that possible, I'm more than busy." As a manager, Feng Yi still had the courage to say certain things. "How are you going to compete with such a stale relationship? Besides, Little Spade has always been obedient. Is there any misunderstanding?"

When Qin Mo didn't reply, Feng Yi continued, "Some things have to be said in a relationship, nothing will change if you don't do anything to rectify the problem."

Qin Mo slide his chair back, tugging his neck tie. "The door is behind." He was chasing him out.

Feng Yi shut his mouth but felt a need to clarify the situation. "What exactly are you mad about?"

There wasn't an answer to that question. The man in front of him was still holding the contract, his face cold and taut. Feng Yi knew he wouldn't get anything here.

He glanced over at the lighter Coco had mentioned. It was clearly something important, which was why he didn't toss it even though he was angry. It was probably a gift from Little Spade.

It seemed like he would have to spend more effort on this matter. As the club manager, he couldn't just guard against the members dating outsiders, he still had to guard against the members dating within the club.

"You don't have to worry about my condition." When Qin Mo finally replied, it still wasn't the reason he was looking for. Qin Mo added faintly, "There won't be any problem during the competition."

With that, it wouldn't be good for Feng Yi to persist anymore. He could only deal with the issue from another angle. And that was to seek out the other party involved.

After he left the office, the first thing Feng Yi did was calling Bo Jiu. The call went through but no one picked up.

Feng Yi caressed his temples, not knowing that Bo Jiu had gone drinking in the afternoon.

Bo Jiu drank about ten bottles of Budweiser and when she was done, she went straight to the bed in her dorm room.

She slept on the upper bed, which was quieter than the lower bed.

Her lessons started in the afternoon but Bo Jiu wasn't in the mood for lessons. She climbed onto her bed, pulled off the sheets, and hid her head underneath as she listened to the rain.

The scene from before was repeating in her head. That person had sat in the car far away and even though he had seen her, he hadn't seemed affected as though she really was a stranger.

Bo Jiu paused. She felt as though someone had stabbed her heart.

At the start, she couldn't fall asleep. But when the alcohol finally struck her, she started feeling more and more sleepy. She couldn't seem to control her heart, it felt hollow and empty as though she had just lost something.

Fortunately, alcohol came in handy in such situations, helping her to sleep. Fast asleep, Bo Jiu did not hear the vibrations from her phone.

Her roommates didn't dare to wake her up but the continuous running probably meant it was urgent. The thorn-headed kid acted as their representative and walked forward to check the caller ID. The words 'Fox Manager Feng' appeared on the screen. But since it was the school hunk's phone, they didn't dare to leave a message, waiting for the call to end.

Bo Jiu was having a dream. It was a scene from her childhood.

When she woke up, there wasn't anyone in the dorm room. They had probably all went for class.

Bo Jiu laid on the bed, staring up at the ceiling.

Bo Jiu had been with Qin Mo for a long while and suddenly, she felt odd not seeing him when she opened her eyes. Every time she woke up, there would be someone by her side. It seemed like she wouldn't be able to enjoy that treatment any longer.

Bo Jiu tilted her head over. In her dazed state, her moves weren't as sharp.

At that moment, a teacher came over with representatives from the student council to conduct a check on the dorms. Lessons has started but there were still students asleep in the dorm rooms.

Regardless of who it was, the teacher wouldn't be too pleased. But because it was Bo Jiu, the punishment couldn't be that harsh. "Do frog jumps on the field and once you are done with a hundred of them, go back to your lesson." He wasn't a bad teacher and treated the student very strictly but that was all for their own good.

Even though Bo Jiu didn't attend school much, she still couldn't help but treat him with respect. Moreover, she intended to keep busy. She walked down to the field, placed her hands on her ears and started to leap.

Many students came down when she started jumping.

"Quick, come and look. Isn't that the top student?"

"He got punished on the first day of his stay?"

"He was caught by the demon himself, His Highness Jiu sure is unlucky. But look at him jump, isn't it both handsome and adorable?" Some of the students from the normal classes started to discuss openly.

The teacher standing at the front knocked the blackboard. "Pay attention."

It seemed like she would have to discuss with the teacher in charge for him to punish his students elsewhere; the field was way too open.

With Bo Jiu's silver hair and that face leaping in the large field, it was indeed striking. That explained why the other students were all interested. No.1 Middle School was situated near No.2 Middle School. The field of No.2 Middle School wasn't as big as the one in No.1 Middle School but they were beside each other and only separated by a net.

It was common for the youths from No.2 Middle School to be punished. But when No.2 Middle School's boss saw Bo Jiu being punished at the field, he couldn't help the sudden excitement. He wasn't even irritated when his head master hit him with a book. He ran over and asked Bo Jiu, "Hey, why are you punished? This is a miracle indeed."

When Bo Jiu remained silent, the youth from No.2 Middle School continued, "Let me tell you how unfair the punishment is this time. Do you still remember the time you helped me play? It was when I confirmed my relationship. All I did was deliver lunch for my girlfriend in No. 1 Middle School, I plucked one of the roses from your school to confess as well and when your had master saw me, he flew into a rage. I was punished twice."

Bo Jiu paused, glancing over at him as she replied with deliberate casualness, "You deserve it. At this moment, I hate people who flaunt their love."

The youngster from No.2 Middle School: ...

Frog jumps would take a while. The school hunk from No.1 Middle School and the big boss from No.2 Middle School were being punished at the same time. It was definitely a sight although it was a contrasting one. One of them was clean and handsome the entire time while the other kept having his head knocked by the teacher.

Xue Yaoyao saw it as well. She positioned her pen to the side but her focus was focused on the youngster the entire time.

Students would have to pass every subject before they could qualify for the National League. Bo Jiu had always been cooperative in this aspect. Thus, the teacher was pleased with her sincere attitude and hadn't called her parents.

Bo Jiu was glad he didn't since Qin Mo was listed as 'parent' in her contacts list.

But this time, even if he was notified, he wouldn't come.

Bo Jiu sat at the side of the field. She used the back of her hand to wipe the sweat that was dripping down her defined jaw.

The schoolgirls were mesmerized.

The teacher was well aware that no one was listening since all their attention had been direction towards the field.

Bo Jiu's attention was on her phone but she didn't act to blatantly in front of the teacher. She moved to a discrete location and was about to call Manager Feng.

The moment Bo Jiu lifted her hand, an incoming call from Feng Yi came through. "Little Spade, you finally picked up the call. Come back to the clubhouse, the previous World Champions, the Japanese are here. They would like to observe us before the match against them in the National League."

Chapter 968

The Japanese? The team Hoshino belonged to?

"Alright, I'll be there in a while." Bo Jiu stood up. After doing a hundred frog jumps, her legs weren't as nimble as before. She massaged her legs. Instead of agreeing, she asked, "Is Brother Mo there?"

Feng Yi glanced up at Qin Mo.

Bo Jiu paused when she heard a faint voice asking from the other end of the call, "Who are you talking to?"

She immediately hung up from guilt.

When Feng Yi heard the line going dead, he turned to look Qin Mo in the eyes. They were so deep they didn't seem to have an end.

With Boss Qin's intelligence, he must have guessed who it was. But somehow...

Boss Qin lowered his head to adjust his sleeve.

Feng Yi coughed lightly. "It's Little Spade, we have to gather everyone since the Japanese are here."

Qin Mo didn't comment.

As a manager that was well aware of his team members, Feng Yi added, "Little Spade said he would be here in a while."

Qin Mo stuffed a hand into his pocket, arching his brows. "Oh?" There didn't seem to be much emotion on his face. "He was so afraid he hung up. Are you sure he will be coming?"

Feng Yi coughed again. This time, he had really choked. He replied in a deep voice, "You have been waiting for his news the entire day but wouldn't take the initiative to contact him. Boss Qin, what's the point of this misery?"

Qin Mo glanced at him: The next time he spoke, his voice was hoarse and raspy. "I wanted to know my position in his heart but now it's clear."

Feng Yi opened his mouth but his throat closed up and nothing came out. This was the first time he had seen him in such a state. Qin Mo was standing but when he looked out of the window, the loneliness that reflected was enough. Little Spade was the only one who could unravel his knot.

"Let's go." Qin Mo took the lighter from his table. He was dressed in his pure black battle uniform with the collars up, amplifying his defined face and aloof expression.

Feng Yi exhaled deeply and caressed his head.

On the other end, Bo Jiu had just finished her frog jumps. She wanted to take the day off but it didn't seem very convenient after her punishment.

Fortunately, sister Yaoyao was there to testify and proof that there was indeed something on at the club.

The suspicious glance that the teacher in charge directed at her made it hard for her to leave.

As there wasn't enough time to change into their battle uniform, they hailed a cab and went over in their school uniform.

The clubhouse wasn't far from the school.

Bo Jiu glanced down at her phone. She knew the problem wasn't the medicine. Actually, every time they had sex, the Almighty would restrain himself, worried he would hurt her. She knew what the problem was but some things couldn't be said. Besides, she was going to leave soon.

Bo Jiu swiped across her phone screen.

Xue Yaoyao noticed her obvious abnormality and called out lightly, "Your Highness Jiu."

Bo Jiu glanced over. "What is it?"

"Is there something bothering you?" Xue Yaoyao went straight to the point.

Bo Jiu paused, chuckling. "It's nothing, I am reaping what I've sown."

Reaping what she had sown by staring at her phone? Xue Yaoyao was thoroughly confused.

Bo Jiu glanced at the front page of her WeChat, thinking about the person she would see soon. Would he treat her as a stranger? Her eyes dimmed as her silver hair fell across them.

Xue Yaoyao paused, Her Highness Jiu didn't look alright.

But Bo Jiu was probably like that, none of the laziness or flippant behavior could conceal the darkness.

When she reached the club, a doll-faced child pointed towards her. "It's this guy, let's have a match."

Bo Jiu glanced at him, her voice nonchalant. "Who are you?"

The doll-faced child widened his eyes in shock. "How can you not know who I am?"

"Are you very handsome? Why should I know you?" Bo Jiu took another step forward, looking over the uniform worn by the child and arched her brow.

The doll-faced child noticed her expression and straightened. "You should know now. I just defeated one of your teammates. How is it? Care for a match?"

Bo Jiu paused, an enigmatic smile on her face. "I'm the first member of the official team here, is it that proud for a leading member of the Japanese team to defeat one of our backups?"

When Bo Jiu wasn't in a good mood, her words were sharper and more hurtful than normal.

After spending so much time with the Almighty, she must have learned at least 80 percent of his vicious tongue ability.

The doll-faced person fumed and his face turning red from anger. However, he had indeed defeated a back-up player and hadn't met anyone from the official team. He could feel the pent-up anger suffocating his chest.

At this moment, a laughter pierced through the air. "Isn't that easy? Have a match against an official team member to test out Supreme Alliance's skills." It was Watanabe and he glanced over at You Sixin. "Captain, am I right?"

Even though You Sixin had long hair, he was handsome without a hint of feminism air. When he turned over to look at Bo Jiu, his gaze was deep.

Then he sneezed, replying lazily, "Watanabe, how many times do you need me to tell you? Coming over is the club's decision. We are here to get to know each other and not to compete."

Watanabe had more to say.

The pretty looking man glanced over with his deep gaze, speaking in lazy tone, "In China, only the champions are worthy enough to compete with us."

Bo Jiu glanced over at him.

The pretty looking man smiled, brushing past her. "I'm curious. What exactly is your relationship with Hoshino for him to care so much?"

Bo Jiu glance up, her lips lifted.

You Sixin waited for the youngster to reply.

Just then, a familiar voice came from behind. "You can ask me if you were curious. Captain, why did you become a fan of gossip?"

You Sixin turned towards the voice. He wore the same battle uniform as him, his appearance clean and sharp, a warning glint in his gaze.

You Sixin chuckled. "Alright, you tell me, what's so special about this person?"

"I admire his playing style." Hoshino looked at him. "This isn't the first time I told you about it."

You Sixin could sense his displeasure and didn't wish to push him any further. He stuffed his hand into his pocket. "It was a joke. Why so serious?"

"It's probably because the joke has gone too far, Mr You."

It was another voice. Faint, cold, and different from the others.

Bo Jiu didn't turn but she felt a warmth spreading through her palms. A familiar, faint tobacco scent entered her senses as the warmth enveloped her. The next second, she saw the beautifully curved jaw.

"My teammate doesn't know your teammate," Qin Mo continued as he glanced down at Bo Jiu. "Some jokes shouldn't be made, don't you agree?"

Bo Jiu could see something else within his gaze but before she could get a clearer view, the Almighty averted his gaze.

With that, he released her hand, his face just as she had expected, faint and without warmth.

Lin Feng came over, completely oblivious to her feelings. He turned towards Bo Jiu. "Little Spade, what's wrong with you and Captain? Why is he treating you so differently? Has he grown tired of you and is neglecting you? Don't worry, if Captain isn't going to be faithful, I will stand on your side even if it gets dangerous," Lin Feng whispered, his volume loud enough only for the both of them.

Bo Jiu remained silent.

Lin Feng felt a need to interfere and resolve their knot. "Look at me, I took responsibility after sleeping with Yun Hu by telling everyone around me to stop messing with me since I am taken. You should let Captain do the same to get power in the relationship."

Bo Jiu had mentioned earlier that she hated those that flaunt their love.

She tilted over, her tone faint. "You are the one with power? It doesn't seem very convincing with your broken lips. I wouldn't mock you if Almighty Yun had kissed you till you were weak."

Lin Feng exploded. He took his phone to look at his lips. F*ck, his lips were really broken from the kiss, didn't that guy know how to restrain himself! How was he supposed to brag like this!

"Is that how you are in bed?" Bo Jiu struck with the final blow, successfully fossilizing Lin Feng.

The next time he reacted, Lin Feng glanced over at the youngster, feeling stuffy inside. Why were some people like this when they weren't happy?

Little Bo Jiu didn't perk up even after the tiny victory because a certain someone hadn't glanced at her ever since he had entered.

Qin Mo walked in front, his hands inside his pocket. They tightened and loosened repeatedly. His calm gaze fell right onto Hoshino's face.

They stood at opposite sides, their gaze brushing past each other.

Feng Yi sensed something wrong and decided to take on his smiling prince persona. "Since it's just a get to know each other session and not a competition, both teams can sit and talk. The media caught wind of the Japanese visiting and have been anticipating this moment."

You Sixin paused, breaking into a smile. "We aren't used to having too many reporters."

Feng Yi predicted his concern, his lips curved into a big smile. "Mr You, don't worry, the Qin Group dabbles into the media industry as well. This will be a small exchange session, not a large-scale press event."

You Sixin narrowed his eyes. He had used this exchange as an excuse to find out the unique areas of Supreme Alliance that Hoshino admired. He hadn't expected them to make use of it. That explained the team's strong financial status. Supreme Alliance's manager was definitely a shrewd businessman.

In reality, that wasn't Feng Yi's only purpose, it was mainly because of Qin Mo's condition. With the media around, it would serve as a reminder for Boss Qin not to show any troubles they had internally to the other teams.

Both of them maintained their composure and exactly because they could hold it together so well, Feng Yi was starting to worry about the impending explosion since he could never guess what was in Young Master Qin's mind.

The meeting between the two teams, with one of them being the Japanese, was indeed a newsworthy event.

Even though not the entire team was present, with Hoshino and You Sixin around, it was enough to represent the entire team.

The captain and vice-captain were both world class players who rarely appeared in public. Every word they said would make headlines in the esports industry.

Even though doll-faced person really wanted to compete with Bo Jiu, he couldn't act rashly.

Both teams had outstanding visuals. Even though they were rivals, they didn't let any of that show.

They were both teams with manners and respect. Hence, it was worth an exchange.

Bo Jiu wasn't interested in the exchange, she was seated extremely near Hoshino, with him in her peripheral vision.

Hoshino could guess what she wanted to say hence, he sent a text over. "I have news about Rao Rong, the details will be sent over later."

Bo Jiu replied simply, "Okay."

The servers walked over with a fruit platter and tea, both arranged by Feng Yi to show their hospitality. The moment the servers placed the platter in front of Bo Jiu, Hoshino remarked, "He doesn't like peaches."

All of a sudden, it wasn't just the servers who paused. Even Lin Feng turned towards Hoshino. How did he know Little Spade didn't eat peaches? They had known Little Spade for such a long time and yet, even they weren't aware of that since Little Spade had never been picky with his food.

Hoshino seemed familiar about things they weren't aware about.

Lin Feng was considered naive and gullible but was rather sensitive in such matters.

Did they perhaps know each other?

That was his first reaction.

Qin Mo stiffened slightly, he glanced up and swept the youngster a glance.

Bo Jiu couldn't allow herself to be exposed in such a moment hence, she reached out and stuck a peach into her mouth.

Her previous self had indeed been allergic to peaches and would break into rashes but this body wasn't the same.

Bo Jiu lowered her lids, swallowing the peach before taking a sip of tea.

Hoshino reacted swiftly, breaking into a natural smile before adding, "Watanabe, don't you remember telling me that peaches aren't good for you?"

Watanabe pointed to himself confused. What was going on? It seemed right. He nodded.

With that, the attention was passed on to Watanabe. But hadn't he said Little Spade just now? A misunderstanding indeed.

Qin Mo kept his gaze but his tightened grip didn't loosen. He knew it wasn't a misunderstanding. Someone new her better than him. Or perhaps, she was willing to lower her guard just now to him...

Chapter 969

Qin Mo's gaze turn cold and the air around him changed noticeably. His dark brows lifted, his face cold and taunt.

But right at that moment, the least sensitive member, Lin Feng, was seated beside him. He tilted his head, looking at Hoshino. "Judging by your previous words, you must really admire our Little Spade."

Hoshino didn't avoid the question, instead, he turned towards Bo Jiu and smiled faintly, his face ravishing. "Yes."

The moment he replied, Qin Mo's eyes darkened.

Lin Feng had more to say but could sense the coldness that was radiating from his captain. He sat back and hid his head.

But even if Lin Feng hadn't asked, it didn't mean the conversation had ended. Hoshino's words seemed to be directed towards his own fans since the press was around. "I watch all of Spade Z's matches and regardless of both his skills and personality, he is worthy enough of having a match with the Japanese. Likewise, I wish that Supreme Alliance can win the National League. The reason I am here visiting Supreme Alliance is for a match with him."

For the vice-captain of the Japanese to hold Little Spade with such respect was an honor. Once the interview video was released, it would definitely help to reduce the number of anti-fans.

With Hoshino's declaration, his fans would start to treat Spade Z as a worthy opponent.

More importantly, it was time for some people to restrain themselves as even Hoshino approved of Spade Z's ability.

Those that defamed her, claiming she attained her fame through the CP pairing, would start to reassess their allegations, albeit unwillingly.

The Japanese held a substantial amount of power within the esports industry.

They were the strongest in Asia and had never lost a battle.

The video of Hoshino facing off against the Xiangnan team in a 1v3 was still available on the net.

As everyone knew how private he was, for him to compliment Spade Z so publicly, would dismiss all the unfounded gossip.

When the reporters realized how newsworthy this piece of information was, they immediately started a livestream.

They never expected Hoshino to admire a newcomer to such an extent.

Feng Yi sensed the danger of the topic. After a glance at his own boss, he diverted the topic in another direction. "We appreciate Mr Hoshino's blessings and will continue to do well on the upcoming finals."

"It seems like Supreme Alliance is rather confident," You Sixin commented. Even though he was laughing, he gave off a dangerous panther-like vibe.

While he spoke, his eyes turned towards Qin Mo's direction.

Hoshino was looking for a match against Spade Z while he was looking to face off against the legendary Three Thousand Knife Cutting skill and to experience exactly how amazing it was.

Watching other people compete could only give him the outsiders point of view, he would never understand its impact unless he had firsthand experience.

Qin Mo maintained a straight face under such an intense gaze. It seemed as though nothing You Sixin said could affect him.

You Sixin arched a brow, anticipating the match against the team Hoshino admired so much.

On one side, he wanted to know to fascination had towards them. On the other end, Qin Mo's personal winning rate was higher than his.

Qin Mo was once a legend within the esports world.

He had expected a faceoff with him that year but somehow, Supreme Alliance didn't even make it to the finals.

Hence, it had been an easy match for the Japanese.

Some of the seniors were even glad that Supreme Alliance hadn't made it but, in You Sixin's eyes, Hoshino was the one he was most interested in. As for Qin Mo, he was more suited as a rival.

You Sixin smiled. The reporters captured the moment before pulling the conversation back to Hoshino. "Almighty Hoshino, it seems like you haven't interacted with Spade before despite all the admiration."

Hoshino smiled. He held up his phone and showed them the screen. "I have been following him but Spade doesn't follow me back. I'm still waiting."

He had followed Spade? Why weren't they aware?

The reporters started to doubt their abilities.

Unbeknownst to them, Hoshino only followed her before coming to the clubhouse so that her plans could unravel smoothly.

Bo Jiu was more than familiar with his style and immediately understood his thoughts. Even though they didn't verbally communicate, their thoughts were well received with just a gaze.

Bo Jiu chuckled. "I don't use Weibo often but I'll follow you back right now."

With that, she took out her phone, her long slender fingers tapping on the follow button.

And that simple exchange blew up the internet comment section, especially fans of Hoshino.

"My Almighty Hoshino followed someone that isn't from his team, that isn't logical!"

"Who is Spade Z? I have never heard of him before, is he from our country?"

"Let me search the net, he is the new player king in Zone C from China, the strongest newcomer from the Supreme Alliance team. Is Almighty Hoshino interested?"

"The one below, stop having weird thoughts, he probably did it out of courtesy."

"When has Almighty Hoshino followed anyone out of courtesy? He didn't even do it at the previous National League."

"Look at the interview online, Almighty Hoshino says he wants to have a match with Spade Z."

"He actually managed to pique Almighty Hoshino's interest, this guy must have some skills... I'm going to look into this Chinese player!"

Spade fans were startled by the sudden attention directed at their idol but they didn't mind since it was a friendly gesture.

In that instant, Bo Jiu's negative reports started to dwindle. Since Hoshino was the one who took notice of Bo Jiu and with the interview segment, the topic blew up. The media grasped onto this topic and tried to increase interaction between Bo Jiu and Hoshino.

On the other side, Lin Feng, who was seated beside Qin Mo, was starting to feel cold everywhere. Even his scalp was trembling from a numbing chilliness. It wasn't because of the temperature, it was his because of captain. He had a death grip on the teacup in his palm, his gaze robbed off every shred of warmth. Lin Feng watched as a layer of frost clouded that handsome face.

Qin Mo turned towards the two of them, his aristocratic face wiped off all emotions, his gaze deep and still...

Lin Feng could understand his captain.

Hoshino seemed to be favoring Little Spade, but based on Little Spade's words, shouldn't Captain be ignoring him? Why would he be bothered?

At this moment, a homosexual relationship seemed far more complex than a heterosexual one. It was too much for him to handle. Lin Feng cowered down low, trying to protect himself from his fear of his captain.

Fortunately, the interview didn't last long. Lin Feng was starting to worry for the safety of the tea cup in his captain's palm.

You Sixin was the first to stand up. He stuffed a hand into his pocket and turned towards Qin Mo. "I hope the next time we meet would be in the arena. There's something I'm curious about. Mr Qin, have you decided on how to deal with the Xiangnan team? Your team doesn't seem very seasoned.

"A competition is a test of skills and not whether the team is seasoned," Qin Mo replied indifferently.

Just one line was enough to shut him up. You Sixin chuckled. He turned to call for Hoshino when he caught sight of a shaky tripod that seemed about to fall. And right below the tripod stood Bo Jiu and Hoshino.

Qin Mo had noticed it before You Sixin. Just as You Sixin was still gaping at the tripod, he had already taken action.

But right at the moment he moved, the youngster moved as well, her reflexes swift and fluid as though she had done the action multiple times. She reached out and grabbed hold of his arm, pulling him backwards, the tripod falling onto her back.

Qin Mo saw her every move and, in that moment, thoughts ran through him. Ever since the start of their cold war, he had not taken the initiative to look for her and had not called or even texted her. When he saw her, he would brush past her as though she were a stranger. But she definitely was not aware how hard it was for him because to her, there was someone more important.

With a loud thud, Qin Mo's shoulders cushioned the impact of the falling tripod.

Sharp inhales could be heard from the crowd, including the camera crew who was clearly startled since no one expected anything to have gone wrong!

Their faces were pale as a sheet as they covered their mouth in shock.

Bo Jiu turned. The Almighty faced her with his back to the falling tripod. His brows were slightly furrowed and his eyes thick with pain. Even then, his aura was intense and fiery. His gaze was as clear as the sea, the darkness enough to drown one in his gaze. Beneath the bright light, the color started to drain from his face. The paler he turned, the more irresistible he looked. She was captivated.

His complexion seemed to mirror his thoughts.

Just then, the situation struck her. Bo Jiu released Hoshino. She bolted upright and opened her mouth, prepared to explain.

Qin Mo kicked the tripod aside before he turned and walked out the door. The entire time, he hadn't given her a second glance. This time, however, Bo Jiu ran after him without hesitation.

Hoshino smiled. He straightened and turned to the crowd that were still gaping in shock. "I never expected Spade Z to be as skilled in real life as in the games."

Fortunately, Hoshino managed to turn the situation around or Feng Yi would be in trouble.

If news of the Japanese being injured in their territory was released, it would cause an uproar.

Right now, Feng Yi was grateful for Little Spade's instinctive action. If it had been the other way around and Hoshino protected Little Spade, Supreme Alliance would have to face the fury of their fans. That would cause an uproar as well...

You Sixin's mood shifted. He dashed over and pulled Hoshino, his voice grave. "How is it? Are you hurt?"

"It's nothing." Hoshino turned and directed a faint smile towards Feng Yi. "Fortunately, Spade is here, please send my gratitude."

You Sixin's eyes sank. He swept the cameras a glance, his face dark and taut. But with the series of events, the media reported it as an accident, with Spade Z coming forth to save Hoshino.

It was easier for Feng Yi to clear up the situation but Young Master Qin's health was going to be an issue.

He took in the bulk of the impact. Even if the impact hadn't been massive, his shoulders would have started to bruise. But that wasn't the main point. What was important was Young Master Qin's expression when he turned, which seemed to be stripped off even the slightest bit of warmth.

What caught him off guard was that he managed to remain rational. No, that wasn't right, it shouldn't be rationality he held onto but he was rather suppressing the impulse.

The next phone call he received was cold and hostile. "Find out who touched that tripod."

"I'm going to the surveillance cameras now." As a manager, it was his fault to have allowed such an accident to happen. But he never expected anyone to have the guts to mess with the Qin family.

Feng Yi wasn't sure if this accident was directed against Supreme Alliance or Little Spade. But regardless of who it was directed at, it was considered unforgivable to Young Master Qin.

Other than Qin Mo, both Hoshino and You Sixin seemed to have sensed something as well because of the previous string of events, the former was worried the accident came for Z. The latter grew up in darkness with evil all around him and hence was associating the accident to darker and more sinister plans.

But You Sixin was sure such a low-level accident was probably not because of his background.

The position the accident occurred was targeted at either Hoshino or Spade Z, which might potentially cause them to be unqualified for the competition. From the angle it happened, it was more likely to be directed at Spade Z. If Spade Z and Qin Mo hadn't blocked the tripod, You Sixin would have suspected Supreme Alliance. But if he thought through it, Supreme Alliance would be the greatest losers if any of his team members were injured in their territory. Hence, this attack was definitely directed at Spade Z.

You Sixin arched his brows, based on the youngster's moves, he was perfectly capable of avoiding the tripod but instead, he used his back to block it so that Hoshino wouldn't be hurt...

Was that really a decision made after considering the pros and cons or had it been instinct?

If it had been instinctive, Hoshino and Spade Z... You Sixin narrowed his eyes, he had never expected Hoshino to be hiding something from him.

As time trickled by, Bo Jiu watched as the person from afar ended a call without a backward glance. She held onto the railing single handedly, leaping over. But he had entered his car and had no intentions of waiting for her.

Bo Jiu dashed over. She used her long legs to block the car door, her actions clean and sharp. With a dark gaze, she was about to speak.

At that moment, a deep voice interrupted her, filled with the polite and aloof air he directed at strangers. "I'm tired and need to rest, move away."

Chapter 970

She wasn't going to let him go after the effort it took to stop him. She started, "Brother Mo, I..."

"Your instinctive moves were rather remarkable." Qin Mo continued, his gaze hollow and voice icy cold, "Should I be asking you how you know Hoshino? I can't even be sure if you can eat peaches. You hide so many things from me. Do you want me to list them all out? You wouldn't make the effort to contact me when I don't contact you, you just do everything as you please without a concern. But I'm different, throughout my meeting, I was wondering about what you were doing or why you weren't trying to pacify me. If you had sent me a word or given me just one call, everything would be different. At the end of the day, you just don't want to be with me, right?"

Bo Jiu froze. She didn't know how to answer that question, that was the crux of the problem.

Qin Mo watched her, turning his face very slowly. His dark hair was falling over his eyes, shielding his expression. "Since you aren't willing to be close to me, we can break up as you wanted. I don't think we are the sort who like clinging onto others."

Clinging onto others. That drained off all her energy. Qin Mo's words were more for himself than for Bo Jiu.

Sometimes, all the sincerity and effort were used to show that the other party didn't care, especially when he saw that scene...

Qin Mo reached out to shut the car door. He was silent for a while before speaking coldly, "Drive."

The new driver didn't dare to turn when he started the ignition. He could feel the chilling frost than was emitting from Boss Qin.

Bo Jiu watched as the black Land Rover gradually disappeared. After a long while, she started walking out, her legs getting heavier with each step, bringing her back to the past when she had wanted to be alone but yet couldn't avoid leaving with her father. She wanted to hunch, so that the pain would lessen but she wouldn't allow herself.

The burdens she carried didn't allow her to.

Bo Jiu inhaled deeply. She leaned against the wall and itched for a smoke. That was when she found the lollipop in her pocket. It was from the Almighty.

Bo Jiu held it in her palm. She would probably remember this forever. There was someone who always had two lollipops in his jacket just because of her even though he was aloof, noble, and never touched sweet food.

Bo Jiu reached her hand out, pressing onto her silver fringe...

When she opened her eyes, there was a change. She dialed a familiar string of numbers.

Beside You Sixin, Hoshino took a step back. "I'm going to the washroom."

You Sixin arched his brow, looking very much like a mafia boss. "Be careful."

Hoshino swept him a glance. "Alright." He was always treating him like a porcelain doll, which was interesting.

Once he crossed the corridor, Hoshino took out the vibrating phone, holding it to his ear. "Hello, Z."

"Who else knows about your team's visit?" Bo Jiu asked straightforwardly.

Hoshino caught on instantly. "It should only be the staff from Supreme Alliance, the visit was a sudden decision made by the captain. The other members aren't aware yet. The only ones who could take action would definitely be from this side."

"Other than the cameramen themselves, the production crew would also take care of the tripods but from the looks of things, he must have escaped. With a disguise on, it wouldn't be easy to trace him even with the surveillance cameras." Bo Jiu remained calm. "The organization has directed their attention at Supreme Alliance or more specifically at me. But they probably aren't aware I'm Z, which means there is someone out there who wants to harm Supreme Alliance by bringing me down. I'm sure you have found something on your end. What exactly did Qin Mo experience?" Bo Jiu had been curious about her pet's memory loss from the very start. And now, the curiosity had thickened.

Her gut was telling her that the recent terrorist attacks were directed at the Almighty.

Hoshino chuckled lightly. "Z, you're still as sharp as ever. I have indeed gotten something on Qin Mo and the person impersonating you. They seem to be acquainted and almost became lovers."

Lovers? Bo Jiu paused, her gaze faltering.

Hoshino continued, "But something happened, which made Qin Mo treat the person coldly and even with distaste."

Bo Jiu lowered her voice. "There's no surprise there, the Almighty would never accept a criminal."

"It has nothing to do with that." Hoshino paused. "Do you want to hear my take on it?"

"Mmh."

Hoshino sighed internally when he heard the faint reply. He smiled faintly. "Z, you may be intelligent but you don't know a thing about relationships."

Bo Jiu remained silent.

Hoshino continued, "The details about the case have been buried deep, you wouldn't be able to find much even with your identity. Which means we are only seeing the surface, only Qin Mo himself knows what happened back then, which makes the theory on lovers invalid. Z, the crux is that the impersonator was once punished by your Brother Mo. Someone leaked the hackers' private details to people of authority and used the internet to control their thoughts, similar to the Maiden's Sacrifice case. Even though the target audience isn't the same, the theory is identical, for people to lose their morals by manipulating the good. An entire school of students became dangerous and could cause harm unknowingly. Do you remember what you said back then?"

"The scariest things aren't demons, it's the human heart." Bo Jiu glanced up, her gaze deep. "So it's him."

Hoshino paused. "Back then, you and Qin Mo had an unspoken agreement to incarcerate her brother. Now she is back and her new target is Qin Mo."

"Revenge." The light on Bo Jiu's ravishing face dimmed, appearing more defined than usual. "Her brother took many lives back then. It seems like she has inherited his legacy."

Hoshino glanced out of the window. "It isn't just for revenge, she is more vicious than her brother. This time, she wants Qin Mo and to achieve her goals, she is going to destroy everything around him. Human lives are nothing to her. A person's dignity and innocence are tools to help achieve her goals. The Maiden's Sacrifice destroyed too many lives. Her first target wasn't the girl you saved, it was Xue Yaoyao, your teammate. Back then, she created a small forum to discuss about Xue Yaoyao. Her targets were always those who were still fighting and persevering. You should understand what she and her brother are trying to destroy. They want to control the world because that is how humans work. But back then it was just a test. The small test made Xue Yaoyao suffer an injustice for a long while. Thereafter, she took action in Tokyo. When she decided it was about time, she returned to China to kick off the Maiden's Sacrifice. Z, this isn't how the world should be, those that have been gritting their teeth through each passing day couldn't voice their grievances because the moment they did, someone would jump at them. On the other hand, those that had indeed committed evil, stole another person's hard work, and violated someone else's rights were all forgiven..."

"It won't always be like this." Bo Jiu cut him off. "If not, our presence would be meaningless."

"That's right." Hoshino smiled, his teeth white and gleaming. "It won't always be like this. Hence, it is time we take action. What do you intend to do with the person who violated Li Xue? She will never admit her crimes and those that don't care for violation and infringement will use all means to set her free."

Bo Jiu raised her arm, shielding the sun rays from her eyes. "When you weren't around, I hired a really good lawyer, Mr Bai. He has never lost a case. If Li Xue doesn't admit to her crimes, I'll sue till she does. The victim's mother is well aware of the limited compensation even if they win the case but with Li Xue's personality, she might not even apologize and those that have been cursing the victim would continue. But those aren't important, what's important is for those that care about the victim to know there is justice in this world. They helped the person they like protecting her most valuable possession, for her name to be cleared and for her to rest in peace."

"It's a surprise you've gotten a lawyer." Hoshino stuffed a hand into his pocket. "It seems like Qin Mo has influenced you quite a bit, Z. Do you like him?"

Hoshino thought she would hesitate, even for a second but she didn't. There wasn't a hint of hesitation to her firm voice. "Yes, I like him. I like him so much I want to kidnap him back to the Fifth Avenue but fortunately, I am still rational at this moment and haven't taken action. But I don't know how long I will be able to resist before that moment."

She was so honest he was caught off guard. Hoshino's long slender fingers pressed his temples, his lips curved upwards.

That moment, he wasn't sure how he was feeling. That person had always been a lone wolf but now, she finally had someone she liked. But that someone wasn't him. Hoshino inhaled deeply. " Z, stop torturing singles like me."

"But we won't ever be together," Bo Jiu continued, catching him off guard once again. "He belongs to the police while I am a wanted criminal. In movies, princes would always end up with princesses. Which prince would want to be with an evil dragon? The prince would only kill the evil dragon but the Almighty won't kill me since I'm so handsome, he should just be unwilling to see me or perhaps, he will avoid me."

Which was worse than the situation right now.

Bo Jiu didn't tell Hoshino that last line. Instead, she changed the topic. "Do you have a photo of that person?"

Without a need to clarify, Hoshino understood who she was referring to. "There are a few that are blurry. Similar to her brother, she never leaves a trace of herself anywhere but do you remember the location you provided me previously? It's an internet cafe beside the university Qin Mo is attending. She should be living in that area."

"Or perhaps, she lives on campus." A glint flashed past her eyes. "She rents a house but doesn't live there. When there isn't a mission, she would stay in school and when she isn't on a mission, the campus network would be a great help since a public IP is harder to locate."

Hoshino's fingers caressed the screen. "You think she is a student?"

"I'm ninety percent sure." Bo Jiu looked down at the lollipop in her hand. "Being a student is the most convenient disguise. Besides, the university isn't far from No.1 Middle School, which makes it easier for her to find her targets and helpers. More importantly, that is Qin Mo's school, you mentioned that she wanted to obtain him and the best way to do that is to become his schoolmate or perhaps join Supreme Alliance just like me. There are only two females in Supreme Alliance, me and Yaoyao, which eliminates that possibility, leaving the possibility of her being a student."

Hoshino kept his gaze under wrap. "I understand, I will focus the investigation here. Someone is coming, be careful. Bye."

"Mmh." Bo Jiu hung up, she glanced down at the screen, resisting the urge to call Qin Mo.

She continued to stay busy. This time, while she hustled, Hoshino's words kept repeating itself in her mind.

They almost became lovers. This meant that the Almighty definitely recognized her. But it seemed like the Almighty had forgotten that as well.

How had it happened? What had happened back then?

If even Hoshino couldn't find it, it was probably information from a special organization...

Moreover, since that person was so fond of impersonating her, she would use her own way to prove herself.

Once she knew she was targeting the Almighty, there was more reason to put a stop to her actions before she left even if the Almighty no longer cared about her...

As the sun was starting to set, the black Land Rover didn't head home. Instead, it stopped outside a bar. The bar was situated near the school.

Qin Mo didn't check the wound on his back. Instead, he sat at the bar and tugged his collar. He sent his driver off.

There wasn't much emotion on his face even when he drank. His dignified and elegant face was calmer than before.

He drank one cup after another as though it would stop the pain on his back. That youngster was probably not aware of his injury because in that moment, she only had eyes for Hoshino.

Qin Mo smirked, his lips upturned but not a hint of warmth could be seen. Instead, it was desolate and lonely.

Even without his background as an enhancement, just his appearance alone was enough to attract the attention of those in the bar...

Chapter 971

From the deepest corner of the bar where the lights were the dimmest, a girl had been watching Qin Mo from the moment he had entered. She smiled, looking sweet and innocent as she walked towards Qin Mo. Her eyes were glistening and pretty when she spoke, "Senior Qin, I never expected to see you here."

Qin Mo moved his gaze from the alcohol towards her but he didn't reply.

"You must have forgotten my name. Previously, you helped me when I almost fell from the staircase." The girl tilted her head. She wore a mini dress, her fingers long and slender, looking very much like those of pianists. Her eyes curved into smiles as she watched Qin Mo, not the slightest bit affected by his lack of response. "I'm Fen Jia, remember it this time!"

Qin Mo remained silent. He pushed an empty cup forward, signaling the bartender for a refill.

Fen Jia laughed lightly. She stood by his side, her teeth white and sparkly. "Senior Qin, you don't look too happy- Do you want to share your problems? It'll make you feel better."

In that instant, something surged from his brain.

He looked at the girl and actually found her familiar. She had short hair and the same face shape as that certain someone. But they didn't have the same eyes. That certain someone had the darkest eyes that were also as clear as water.

He was starting to miss her again, the Little Bo Jiu that just wouldn't go away. A person that stuck like the multiplication tables. Qin Mo frowned. Even though he should be annoyed, there was a hint of warmth in his eyes from thinking of that certain someone.

"Senior Qin, what's wrong with your back? Are you hurt?" Fen Jia was about to reach out when Qin Mo glanced over, his tone cold and icy. "I don't think it's any of your business."

Fen Jia blushed but she didn't back down. "I'm just showing concern."

Qin Mo stood up. He reached for the jacket he had placed over the wooden chair and made a random call, not knowing who he had called when he spoke, "Come get me, I'm drunk."

Lin Feng was thoroughly confused since he never would have expected his captain to call him. It seemed like he was really drunk!

Lin Feng took a while to process the situation. Today, he had experienced firsthand the obvious animosity between Little Spade and his captain. Little Spade had turned into a listless Spade.

Between being scolded by his captain and being a loyal brother, Lin Feng chose the latter, immediately calling Bo Jiu.

"Hey, Little Spade? I have a good offer for you, it's a chance for you to sleep with captain but you have to muster enough courage for it." Lin Feng raised his legs as he spoke. "Captain is drunk and wants someone to fetch him, his current location at the bar beside A University. Are you going?"

Bo Jiu replied without hesitation, "Yes."

Lin Feng muttered from the other end of the call, "A brave soul indeed, I'm sure you are the only one who dares to prey on Captain."

"I'm near A University. It would be more convenient for me to head over. I'm going to get a cab." Bo Jiu added, "In the future when you have desires to sleep with Almighty Yun, I'll be at your service."

Lin Feng wanted to howl. A straight guy like him would never harbor desires to sleep with his own brother. But the call had gone dead.

The youngsters nowadays were so impatient...

Chapter 972: Kiss

After hanging up, Bo Jiu leaped onto a cab. "Sir, I'm heading to White Night Bar located beside A university."

At this hour, there were increasingly more cars on the street and thus the car wasn't going fast. She didn't understand why the Almighty had called Lin Feng but only that naive boy would pass on the task of fetching the Almighty to her.

When Bo Jiu alighted from the car, she was prepared to face his hostility. He went straight to the bar after leaving the clubhouse, that was enough to show how upset he was. He had acted the same way back when they had been younger.

Whenever he was upset, he would reject anyone who expressed their concern, regardless of her coaxing. He was indeed a troublesome little devil. Back then, she had been shameless. Right now, it seemed like she was still as shameless as before.

Bo Jiu lifted her arm to glance at the time, walking swiftly into the bar. She crossed the cars parked in front of the entrance and as expected, that dignified and cold figure stood beneath the rainbow lights, looking elegant and striking.

Bo Jiu mentally prepared for his resistance before taking another step forward.

She had a good look of him. He still wore his uniform. It was partially unbuttoned though, exposing the white t-shirt underneath. His dark hair and high nose bridge amplified his handsome side profile, which was defined and sharp.

His long slender figures clasped a cigarette, his fringe falling across his forehead to shape his deep-set eyes. He looked like a wild horse.

The Almighty lifted his gaze. He had clearly sensed her presence.

Her heart thumped so loudly she could hear every single beat. There were many things she wanted to say but when she caught sight of the person behind him, she froze.

She had short hair and a sweet appearance and it seemed like she had been there for a while. Her lips curved into a sweet flowery smile. She seemed to be chatting with the Almighty.

Bo Jiu could vaguely hear the word "Senior".

This... Bo Jiu stopped mid step. She wasn't sure how the girl had appeared. Had she been drinking with the Almighty?

Bo Jiu couldn't be blamed for such thoughts since she had never seen anyone so close to the Almighty before. Even though there wasn't any physical interaction, there was an unexplainable feeling.

It seemed like they were acquainted?

Based on her understanding of the Almighty, he would have walked away if he really hated her.

Did the Almighty drink by himself or did he drink with someone?

Bo Jiu wasn't sure if she should be going over.

At this moment, the girl glanced up, shock flashed past her face before she broke into a faint smile, two dimples appearing at the side of her lips.

"Senior, is that Z? He looks more handsome in person."

Qin Mo didn't reply.

Bo Jiu suddenly felt as though she wasn't wanted. Her heart fell as she prepared to walk away.

Just then, a familiar voice asked, "How long are you going to make me stand here by myself?"

Bo Jiu glanced up. She wasn't sure if the words were meant for her and that he was alright with her being here with him.

He tossed the cigarette into a bin and tugged open his uniform as he walked towards her, not allowing her any time to respond.

She felt her vision turn black as a jacket covered her eyes.

Just as Bo Jiu was about to move, she heard a voice, cold and icy. "Don't move, I don't want to see you right now."

Bo Jiu stiffened, not knowing what to do. As expected, being hated by the Almighty was an extremely unpleasant experience. As the Almighty wasn't willing to see her handsome face, she could no longer depend on her face to win favors. When had her face cost her brownie points?

Bo Jiu thought through it, it wasn't easy to keep still. Just as she was about to take a step forward, she saw that person walk to her.

Before she could move, she felt herself being carried.

This... Didn't he just say he didn't want to see her? Why...

"Brother Mo..."

He ignored her. His familiar tobacco and mint scent flooded her senses.

Bo Jiu stopped fidgeting, her nose touching his chest through the thin fabric of his jacket. She couldn't see anything as was carried by Qin Mo the entire journey.

Her fingers clenched the jacket tightly, her heart racing. It was mainly because she didn't know what he was thinking.

Was he going to toss her into a trash bin?

Since he had looked at her with despise, it seemed as though he wanted to get rid of her.

Speaking of which, why wasn't the Almighty surprised when she came instead of the naive Lin Feng?

Bo Jiu was still processing the situation when she felt herself being placed on a car seat. It should be the Land Rover she was familiar with.

Even though she couldn't see anything, the familiar arrangement around her was enough for her to guess where she was.

Just as she was about to say something, someone lifted her chin, separating the jacket covering her. It was a light and chilly kiss.

Bo Jiu widen her eyes as her lips were pried open. A sweetness flooded her senses, the numbing sensation robbing her off all thoughts. Their tongues touched and the long-awaited feeling was sending currents through her.

Bo Jiu could only lean against the chair, completely unaware of the situation. Half her face was still covered by the jacket but yet, she could be kissed so savagely.

The Land Rover was in a drawn parking space outside the bar with many passing by. The sight of Qin Mo in a white t-shirt with his back lowered and lips locked attracted a crowd.

That image seemed right out of a manga. But regardless of how curious they were, they couldn't tell how the youngster looked beneath the jacket.

How did he think of such a kissing method?

They could see her figure but not her face. But just their silhouette itself was enough to know they definitely look good, especially with Qin Mo's long legs and firm upper body. It was an innate natural charisma.

Even a kiss could look so overwhelming and imposing.

There were whistles amongst the crowd.

Qin Mo remained oblivious, he kissed until all his energy was exhausted. He released her briefly, pinching her chin.

Qin Mo bit her lips, continuing to consume that irresistible candy sweetness.

Bo Jiu couldn't tell what was happening, she could only allow him to continue kissing her, depleting all her energy. The commotion from the crowd gradually weakened. Regardless of how loud it was, it became background music to her ears.

It was as though he was the only one in this world.

When he kissed, all she could hear was her own heartbeat.

Everyone saw the kiss, much less to say Fen Jia, who wasn't far. She clasped her fingers so tightly a thick cloud of malice started spreading through her eyes.

After scheming for such a long time, she finally managed to catch him alone but yet, the opportunity seeped through her fingers just like that.

Why was he acting in such a manner even after Spade Z had saved Hoshino so instinctively?

According to the latest news she had gotten, they were clearly having a cold war.

Moreover, when did he start to like boys? That person was clearly attracted to women!

She had always assumed it was the novelty, the thrill given by the youngster. He had probably never met anyone similar in the esports world.

It was hard not to notice the FC King of Zone C. She had watched Young Master Fu game before and immediately understood the fascination. Other than Z, she was most interested in esports. Previously, she had gotten into esports to approach him but the results weren't exemplary.

This Young Master Fu only had the opportunity because he had appeared when he had still been a blank canvas. Luck was definitely on his side.

Fen Jia stood at the side watching them, her gaze dimming with each passing second. She wanted to kill the youngster, for making her sit through such a scene.

It seemed like the impact wasn't exemplary. Fen Jia's gaze dimmed but there wasn't a hint of emotion on her face. It was time to find an accomplice. Fu Zhongyi is the best choice...

Amidst the annoying cheers, Fen Jia disappeared into the night. She believed that if she continued to lay in wait, there would be a day he was hers. That Young Master Fu could have him for a few days as it would only be a matter of time before she snatched him over. Because she knew what exactly could catch his attention...

Inside the Land Rover, Bo Jiu sat there, watching the pair of mesmerizing eyes as he panted faintly. This time, she wasn't sure how she offended him. The jacket came back, covering her face. Beneath the clothes, she could vaguely see the Almighty's approaching lips, his voice as cold as before. "Who allowed you out?"

She wasn't allowed to show her face. Bo Jiu wanted to look but her head was already pressed into his arms. Next, she heard the Almighty make a call. "Come over and drive."

He had a driver? Then why had he asked Lin Feng to get him? It seemed like the Almighty was really drunk.

Bo Jiu arched a brow, it felt like he is looking at her but she couldn't fathom his thoughts.

In reality, his thoughts were simple. He would lose control of everything once he saw her face. Which was why he didn't want to look at her. But because she was in his arms, many things had changed.

The mass that had been weighing down his chest seemed to have disappeared. Even though he couldn't see anything, he could imagine how frustrated she was feeling at this moment. She could stay that way. It would save him the frustration when he saw through her actions.

The thought of how she had protected him so instinctively made his eyes deepen.

It seemed like she could only be obedient when she was depressed.

Brother Mo couldn't see any of it which made her depressed. She heard the car start up and after it moved a certain distance, she asked, "Brother Mo, when can I show my face?"

There wasn't a reply. The Almighty seemed to be still angry at her. The atmosphere seemed even heavier and colder than before...

Chapter 973

But Bo Jiu also knew it was a light punishment. She sat in silence for a while more. When she decided it had been enough time, she asked gingerly, "Brother Mo, I think you would be in a better mood when you see my face since I have such a dashing appearance, it would help to purify the air."

"You aren't needed to purify the air," he replied slowly as his fingers were touching her lips, the thin fabric of the jacket between them. "You better keep quiet, I don't wish to see your face or hear your voice. Understand?"

She understood; there were times he could act like a proud little lady. Bo Jiu nodded, keeping the thought to herself. She knew he wasn't willing to mend their differences anymore.

The driver peaked at the rear mirror several times. Boss Qin could just chase Bo Jiu away if he didn't wish to see him, why did he have to cover him with a jacket and kiss his forehead?

He would never be able to understand his boss's world. Perhaps no one could.

He loved her but yet, his pride didn't allow him to give in. If it had been anyone else, he would never have bothered. But this youngster...

He forced his thoughts away but ended up using Lin Feng to get to her. Qin Mo's call hadn't been a mistake. As the captain of Supreme Alliance, he was well aware of every member's temperament. Lin Feng's first reaction after receiving the call would be to inform the youngster.

Qin Mo lowered his gaze, looking at the youngster in his arms. He was still wondering how to deal with her. Since he didn't have a plan, he decided to bring her back home.

The Land Rover entered the military courtyard.

Bo Jiu had sensitive ears and could hear the sound of the rifles hitting the rocky ground.

When the car had stopped, Qin Mo carried her up and placed her on his bed.

Bo Jiu took a moment to ponder before reaching her hands out. Once again, her lips were covered and this time, the kiss was deeper than before, pushing her head into the pillow. Their breathes were hurried and a mess.

"We aren't just sex partners, understand?" The hoarse and raspy voice landed on her lips along with his pants but it was still as cold as before. "You will have to take responsibility for messing with me."

Bo Jiu muttered, "I have always been taking responsibility."

"Your responsibility is to save Hoshino," Qin Mo replied faintly. It was so faint and nonchalant she was stumped.

Qin Mo glanced at her as he released her and stood up. It was a knot he could no longer spin lies around. He turned, facing his back to her. He only had two words for her, "Forget it."

Bo Jiu froze. She wanted to say something but clearly, it was going to be useless.

The door opened. He was chasing her out. Bo Jiu knew, but she didn't want to move. She maintained the same position on the bed, basking in the last moment...

The sky started to turn dark as Qin Mo sat in the study room beside his room, hearing the sounds coming from the other side as he lit a cigarette.

The silver lighter was clenched in his palm so tightly that a cut formed. He flipped it around and it became a USB.

If it hadn't been for Lin Feng's call, perhaps she would never have thought of looking for him. Things obtained by force would never come easily. This gift was the same.

He sat in silence. She should be prepared to leave.

He finished a stick. It was the only way to suppress the frustration within him. Just when he tilted his head, the study room door was pulled open.

The youngster stood there. "I'll leave after tending to your wounds."

Qin Mo extinguished his cigarette, his voice cold and emotionless. "Someone will be coming."

The only excuse she had was taken away, and that moment, she realized he really didn't want to see her. They had never been so polite to each other before.

The sound from below broke their tense atmosphere. Movie Queen An was back. She walked over when she saw that the lights were on. With just once glance, she could tell there was something wrong between the two of them.

Just as Bo Jiu was about to leave, she held onto her. "Jiu, glad to see you here, I need your opinion on something. Don't leave tonight so that we can have a good talk!"

Bo Jiu glanced at Qin Mo and agreed. "Alright."

Qin Mo's tightened fists loosened with her respond.

Since she was going to stay for the night, she would definitely have dinner. Movie Queen An had plans for them to sit together. But that was secondary. Movie Queen An wasn't dumb, she had never been one to ask the kids bluntly and she really had something to consult Bo Jiu.

"The director for a movie I am acting in asked me for a favor. He would like for me to put in some good words for him." Movie Queen An placed a piece of pork in her plate. "And I agree that the role is perfect for you. If you take up the role, I could tell you a weakness of that emotionless boy of mine."

Bo Jiu had never been good at rejecting Movie Queen An. "It would have to wait till after the competition and I can't be sure of the situation at that time. Besides, I can't act."

Once the competition was over, she would find a reason to leave.

"The situation won't matter." Movie Queen An reached out to pinch her face. "You don't have to act, the director has briefed me about it. You just have to sit in front of the computer and type. It is basically for you to be yourself, you can see it as a favor for me."

With that, it wasn't nice for her to reject her anymore. "Is the director looking for an esports player?"

"No, he's looking for a hacker," Movie Queen An replied excitedly. "You are my son in the movie. I have always wanted a handsome and thoughtful son like you, Jiu. Your Brother Mo is way too cold and not the least bit adorable."

She remained silent, lowering her head to pick at the rice. She turned unconsciously towards the empty seat beside her, knowing very well that the Almighty wasn't having his meal because of her.

Movie Queen An noticed her gaze as well, she turned and consoled, "Your Brother Mo has never known how to interact with others. Back when he was younger, he was the coldest person in the entire military courtyard. Moreover, he is extremely particular about hygiene and when he finds something he is fond of, he would act like a tyrant. The more he likes something, the less he would show. Even though I am his mother, there are times I don't understand him. For a long while, he had trouble sleeping. But after he met you, he told me he was blessed with a bolster that allowed him to sleep peacefully. Honestly, I couldn't really accept it when I first found out he had fallen for a boy. It's going to be a difficult path and both of you are still so young. There was also a time he likes girls but the next time I saw him, he was smiling to his phone because of a message you sent, Jiu. My cold boy really likes you."

Chapter 974

The second she finished her statement, Bo Jiu's phone rang.

That special ringtone made her stiffen. She took her phone and glanced at the screen. Although it wasn't a recorded number, it was an extremely familiar string of numbers.

She knew that if it hadn't been something big, Hoshino would never have called her.

Bo Jiu looked at Movie Queen An. "I'm sorry, I have to take this call." With that, she stood up.

Once she reached the entrance, she seemed to have become a totally different person, especially her eyes, which had taken on a glint of light, making her look like a devil of the night, dangerous and mysterious. "Hello."

"Rao Rong is in trouble." Hoshino continued to operate his computer. "The entire esports industry is saying your match is rigged."

"Rigged?" Bo Jiu arched a brow.

"Mmh."

"The syndicate is going to make Rao Rong the scapegoat to divert the attention." Bo Jiu narrowed her eyes. "A Hero's son shouldn't be treated in such a manner, Rao Rong worked harder than everyone else for this match. If Rao Rong hadn't been threatened, the opponents would have faced a harsher defeat."

Hoshino chuckled, his voice warm as always. "Should we take action?"

"Mmh." Bo Jiu looked up at the sky. "Let's meet outside the police station."

"Seems like you already have a plan." Hoshino reached for the keys on his table. "I'll prepare the disguise and props. Which design are you looking for?"

Bo Jiu thought for a moment. "A wooden guitar, white t-shirt, black trench coat, face mask, hair dye and a motorcycle, preferably a cool looking one."

"What are you planning?" Hoshino glanced down at his information. "Why do you need a guitar?"

Bo Jiu smiled, looking devilish. "Since it's a comeback, the audience would need to testify. Or else, it wouldn't be living up to the impersonator's efforts."

"Z, you're going to break the rules." Even though he seemed to be chiding her, his eyes were brighter than before as though it had regained life. "I understand, see you later."

"See you later." Bo Jiu hung up. She glanced back at Movie Queen An, looking slightly embarrassed. She wanted to see the Almighty again but time was too tight and he wasn't willing to see her. Bo Jiu knew he was still upset and the best solution was to stay but she had a task that was more important than this. "Movie Queen An, I have something urgent to attend to right now."

Movie Queen An could tell from the expression on her face when she received the call. At her age, she had learnt to see things on a wider scale. "Alright, go on ahead. It's time for that aloof boy of mine to worry or he would never understand the sincerity required in relationships."

Bo Jiu paused. She glanced up at Movie Queen An. "Brother Mo is alright, I'm the one with the problem, I'm not sincere enough."

Movie Queen An watched the youngster's serious expression and broke into laughter. Why would anyone take up the blame? Her aloof son must have accumulated all the blessings from his previous life to have met such an understanding person like Jiu.

"You are a stark contrast to your Brother Mo, that boy is stone cold." Movie Queen An chuckled. "Jiu, you are going to be on the losing end if you keep this up. If he ever bullies you, just let me know, I'll definitely be on your side."

Brother Mo glanced at the staircase. "Brother Mo doesn't bully me."

Even back when they had been kids. On the surface, it looks like she is on the losing end. In reality, however, every time something happened, he would be there to protect her.

The An family had high standards in terms of upbringing. Grandpa An as well, he brought the Almighty up like a prince who could play the piano and chess.

When she had still been playing around in the mud, the Almighty had already been meeting foreign guests in his little suits. The An family had been beside theirs. Even though the exterior had been the same, the inside had been extremely clean.

Every time she had climbed the wall and smashed the flower pots, the Almighty would take the blame, claiming he had broken them accidentally.

There was once she had broken the An family's safe. The Almighty had taken the blame and was punished by Grandpa An.

The Almighty would never make such mistakes because to him, this sort of mistakes was considered childish.

That had been the first time Grandpa An had punished him so severely.

Bo Jiu could still remember that her little pet had stood in the middle of the dining room, not a hint of frustration.

But he hadn't been very pleased, his face hard and cold when he had grabbed her arm. "Little Bo Jiu, are you dumb, how can you hurt yourself trying to break the lock? Bring the first aid kit over, if I find even a drip of your blood on my bed sheets, I'm going to toss you out the window."

Bo Jiu had been used to such threats and hadn't thought much of it. Besides, the Almighty probably hadn't found her dirty since he was tending to her wound.

That day, as always, she had hugged her little pet to sleep. Before she had fallen asleep, he had muttered into her ear, "Seems like the safe would have to be changed seeing how dumb you are."

After that day, everything in the An family' house that required locks had been electricized. At that time, Bo Jiu had promised herself to take care of her pet.

That was probably why Bo Jiu never wanted to be met with his gaze full of hatred.

Movie Queen An watched the youngster's lowered gaze. Reaching out to push her, a faint smile was on her face. She was the perfect epitome of a mature and elegant woman. "Alright, go on, I'll deal with your Brother Mo."

Bo Jiu didn't have much time left. Besides, it might be a good thing to leave since the Almighty would finally be willing to have his meal.

After she left the courtyard, Bo Jiu glanced down at the time on her phone as she boarded the cab.

The night sky was lit up by the millions of city lights. The nightlife in the city center came alive, the commercial areas were packed with crowds, and neon lights plastered over the various buildings. The city was bustling.

In the study room of the Qin family's house, Qin Mo sat in his original position. But other than before, the lighter that had been hurting his palms was now placed into his laptop...

Chapter 975

The computer screen lit up and a familiar sound was echoing through the room. It was the opening music for Hero. That was the first special effect used in the video. Characters appeared along with the opening music.

When he caught sight of the familiar ID, his eyes widened in shock.

This... was before the youngster had entered Supreme Alliance, when they fought alongside each other? No. That wasn't right!

Qin Mo watched as the video unfolded, his character playing alongside hers, gliding through the screen like two gusts of wind.

This wasn't just a video of them training. It also included all the footages of them playing together, from their first meeting to the National League, every single step was presented in her own unique manner.

Qin Mo knew exactly how tedious it was to edit the video. Moreover, she had to search for the footages as well...

He assumed that was all but it wasn't. At the end was a photo of them they had uploaded onto the official Weibo.

There was a row of words. "I hope to have someone like you, like the clear wind that blows through the mountain, the warm glow that shines on the ancient city, from dawn till dusk, from the jungles to the valleys, as long as you are there in the end, all is well."

Qin Mo didn't head downstairs because he was watching the video. It wasn't long, around seven to eight minutes.

When he saw that last sentence, Qin Mo forgot how to move, staring at the computer screen blankly. For the very first time, it didn't feel too bad for some things to be beyond his control.

He felt pain in his chest, forcing him upright. He walked downstairs hurriedly, scanning the surroundings in search for someone.

There wasn't anyone on the sofa or the dining table, there wasn't any sight of her in the kitchen either.

Qin Mo wanted to head elsewhere in search for her. Movie Queen An walked over, holding onto him. "You don't have to look any longer, he left."

Qin Mo stiffened, his brows slamming into a knot. "He left?"

"Mmh, there seems to be something urgent, you..." Before Movie Queen An could finish her sentence, her usually polite and well-mannered son grabbed the jacket on the sofa and dashed out without a backward glance.

Movie Queen An rarely saw such impatience in her aloof son. She hurried behind him. "Son, don't blame me for reminding you, Jiu received a call from his friend and it seems like a very close friend of his. You should understand, Jiu isn't lacking suitors. If you continue to treat him with such nonchalance, you might possibly lose him. It is best to be on alert while dating."

Qin Mo didn't need the reminder since this was the outcome of his alertness. Or perhaps, to others, he could get anything he wanted and was in control of the relationship. In reality, she was the one who could leave easily if anything happened. But it was enough.

After he had seen that video, he had told himself that even if she kept secrets, he wouldn't pry. And that included Hoshino.

He wanted to find her this instant, hold her in his arms, and tell her, she belongs to him.

Chapter 976: Handsome Jiu

Early summer night, every city had its own way of life. The northerners enjoyed downing large mouthfuls of beer while eating spicy lobsters and meat skewers. The southerners, on the other hand, didn't take spicy food much but would go shopping with some of their good friends.

Even though their habits weren't the same, there were similarities as well; the commercial areas in the city would be packed full of people.

It was the same for big cities such as Jiang City. Prominent advertisements could be found on tall skyscrapers. They could be clearly seen by the passing cars and the many shoppers in the commercial area. Under normal circumstances, the face of an advertisement would be any of the top-tier celebrities.

At around 7pm, the sky wasn't dark. It was the busiest period of the day.

In the center of the bustling street was the heart of the underground shopping mall and beside it was an iconic architecture of China. Cars that arrived in the area would have to stop and wait, regardless of how unwilling they were. That is due to the traffic jam.

The commercial area spanned across a huge piece of land. There were coffee shops like Starbucks and fast food joints like Burger King. In the middle of the entire commercial street was a mini fountain.

The streets were packed full of people; there were youngsters chatting, elders with their children and even a group of cool looking high school students with their skateboards.

Right at this moment, a black Dodge Tomahawk motorcycle stopped in front of the fountain like a beautiful leopard, attracting everyone's attention.

The crowd watched the slender youngster in front of them, her long legs at the side of the car. With a beautiful and clean turn, she hopped off the Dodge Tomahawk, shaking off the dust from her hair, showing her deep eyes.

The youngster was still wearing a black face mask, shielding her appearance but just her figure was enough to melt hearts.

"So handsome!" one of the girls exclaimed.

The guy at the side arched a brow. "The motorcycle sure is handsome." It was a limited edition as well, how much did that cost?

"I'm talking about the person!" the girl replied before she turned back and took another look at the youngster that brushed past her. "He's really handsome!"

"He is holding a guitar. Do you think he's going to busk?"

"I want to stay and listen!"

"Aish, why is he wearing a face mask! I want to see how handsome he looks underneath."

"It's probably because he isn't that good looking without it, having a face mask on leaves more room for imagination."

"What song is he going to sing?"

"I can't tell but he's starting!"

It was an enthusiastic crowd. Her image of an energetic pretty boy with a half-covered face and guitar was enough to leave the crowd in anticipation.

The youngster was well prepared. She didn't use a handheld microphone that buskers were frequently seen with but an earphone with a tiny microphone curving out in front of her face. That made her look more stylish and suave.

The youngster turned, smiling at the girls who were staring at her. With that, they exploded into cheers. "I can't take it, he's so cool!"

The youngster lowered her head, pulling some wires and plucking them into his laptop. The crowd assumed it was to lessen the ease of choosing music. But in reality, the laptop screen had split into two and the USB that was plucked into the laptop would be infiltrate something. As for the place it infiltrated...

Bo Jiu glanced to the side, her lips upturned. Her original silver hair had been dyed black and the diamond stud on her left ear gleamed, reflecting the lights while looking like a black gem.

Her long slender fingers flew across the keyboard. As the speed was stunningly fast, no one saw the rows of codes and pop-ups that appeared on her screen repeatedly.

It wasn't hard for Bo Jiu to infiltrate a shopping mall since such places had a public network that was used by countless number of shoppers. Such vast access could easily form loopholes.

In just a short thirty seconds, Bo Jiu had broken down the firewall and went straight into the surveillance room, controlling the broadcast rights for the entire mall. At the same time, she set in place numerous numbers of fake IP addresses.

Bo Jiu wasn't the least bit worried the police could find her. There was a simple reason. Anyone in the shopping mall with an electronic device, be it a phone or a computer, would be holding the same IP address. But she would have to hurry. Her biggest worry was still the Almighty. Fortunately, Smith was taking charge in the crime squad.

"It's time to greet an old friend." Bo Jiu smiled faintly, pressing onto the back button and in turn hiding the chat box. She held her guitar and straightened.

This time, Bo Jiu was back to her usual Z style; to tell the police she was here and for them to arrest her if they could.

"Is he going to start?" The girls couldn't wait anymore.

Bo Jiu tilted her head, making the final adjustments as she spoke into the mic, "Hi, hi, hi, testing."

"He's so cute!"

"Anything a hottie does is cute. Wasn't he just testing the volume?"

"Jealous? You can always alter your appearance according to his."

"I'm your boyfriend, not him, what is there to be jealous about?" Even so, there was an obvious sourness in his tone.

The girl chuckled.

As the crowd started to grow, Bo Jiu finally looked up. Looking around, her warm voice was flowing through the microphone. "Taking your Good Mornings to accompany me for dinner, remembering to deposit all my thoughts of you into the piggy bank, I stare at the sky full of glittering stars, listening to the cowherd telling the weaving maid to be brave..." As her voice enveloped their senses, the crowd lit up. Even though the youngster was still wearing her face mask, it couldn't shield the charisma and allure of her voice. But...

"What song is this? It sounds amazing but I've never heard it before."

"That's where the generation gap lies. Come over, let your boyfriend sing the song for you. You were still in elementary school when the song came out."

"Geez, stop interrupting the song."

It was probably her beautiful eyes or perhaps her clear and gentle voice which attracted a crowd around her.

Bo Jiu sang softly, her eyes curved, "Not afraid of seeing your greetings at the ends of the earth, flying on the magic carpet, flying at the speed of light, flying to me. You made me see the Polaris with a cross shaped star accompanying it. Have you gotten used to not having my arm as a pillow? Your telescope can't see my loneliness on the Pacific Ocean in the northern hemisphere. I will wait patiently for the day you land..."

When she reached the word "land", she tilted to the side, towards Hoshino, who was watching her amidst the crowd with a faint smile on his face.

They were both wearing face masks but radiated different vibes. If Bo Jiu was cool and devilish, the quiet Hoshino watching her amidst the crowd was like spring water that flowed down the mountains, a gentleman. With their chemistry, just a look was enough to take action. That instant, Hoshino laughed, glancing up.

A loud swoosh was heard! The large screen that was still showing the advertisement suddenly blacked out, with the letter "Z" in the middle.

No, it wasn't just the advertisement board, it had also appeared at the screens of those around the area. Those that watched technology documentaries instantly linked it to a hacker.

Everyone was swiping their phones but there wasn't any way to get rid of the letter.

Right at this moment, an adjusted voice could be heard from the various screens in the mall. "Before I introduce myself, I would like to greet my old friend, Smith. I heard you specifically came down from the Fifth Avenue just to arrest me. Pssh, you sure are braver than before. Guess you haven't given up after all those failures. But I'm rather perplexed on how you managed to fall for an impersonator."

As soon as this was out, they managed to alert the police. The mall immediately activated their system cleaning process in order to fight off the network intrusion. However, when they reached the customer service counter, the computers were no longer under their control.

The network attack was too sudden but it didn't affect the mall's normal operations and had only taken up the advertisement screen. Even so, this was the first time the mall's manager had encountered such a situation.

It was common to see police cars parked near malls of this size. The police patrolling reacted quickly, informing the station at the first instant.

It was way busier than before. This was a special case with bad press due to their poor handling skills.

Smith sat in the interrogation room, across the table from Rao Rong. He arched his brow. "I finally caught you, Z."

Rao Rong didn't reply, both his hands cuffed. He had the same expression as before, his lips half upturned with mockery and dismal.

The arrest had happened out of the blue and the charges directed at him were outlandish. Honestly, he didn't mind being sent in. He was willing to do anything for his father to receive the justice he deserved. But the moment the crime squad had bolted into the club, he could see that person's eyes dimming. It had probably been disappointment. Because of him and the other teammates.

Rao Rong lowered his gaze, looking at his handcuffed wrists.

Who would know of the love he had for esports?

"Why aren't you saying anything, Z?" Smith chuckled, looking confident and sure of himself. "Are you thinking of an excuse to escape? This is China, not the Fifth Avenue, you won't be able to escape."

Lin Chentao and some other teammates were being interrogated beside Rao Rong when Smith spoke.

"We hope to receive evidence about Rao Rong from Mr Lin," the interrogator asked politely.

Lin Chentao hadn't said a word since the start but as the best witness, they would have to force him to say something. But base on his attitude, that possibility was starting to look bleak.

He was rather good looking and always had a lot to say but at this moment, Lin Chentao was silent.

"Mr Lin..." The interrogator tried a softer approach.

Lin Chentao suddenly spoke, his voice low and deep. "Do you even know that person?"

"What?" The interrogator was caught off guard.

Lin Chentao glanced up, red veins covering his eyes. "What sort of person is Rao Rong?"

The interrogator remained silent, looking straight at him.

Lin Chentao didn't care how others viewed him. "When I first joined the team, I was constantly at the bottom, my fingers weren't fast enough and my skills weren't on par with the others. As such, many of the rookies saw me as a burden and weren't willing to form teams with me. They locked me in the dressing room and forced me to quit the team but Captain protected me and told them off. He told them that hard work was more important than talent and for them to stop forming cliques to ostracize others. In order for the team to win, he would spend nights trying to decipher the best playing tactic for each player. Such a person would show his most radiant smile when the team wins and would comfort us when we lost, telling us it was alright and that we could try again the following year. How can such a person deliberately lose a National League competition for money? That year, when the team had a tense relationship with the club, he spoke for us at the risk of being frozen by the managers. He remained with the team despite all the alluring offers he was given and that was all because of us, the burdens he had to shoulder. But do you have any idea what he was repaid with? The older teammates forced him out of the team, they made him lose out two long and precious esports years. The club kept placing useless relatives into the team. If it hadn't been for Captain, do you have any idea how badly we would have lost to Supreme Alliance?"

The interrogator paused. "Mr Lin, I understand that you have a good relationship with Rao Rong but this isn't the time to be blinded by your emotions. If you could provide us with necessary evidence, it would be a great help to the case."

"I don't have any evidence." Lin Chentao stood firm. "Because I believe Captain isn't such a person."

The interrogator knew this was a dead end, hence, he left the interrogation room. He shook his head at Director Huang. "It's too difficult."

"Is there any progress at Smith's side?" After listening to Lin Chentao's words, Director Huang felt heavy inside. Perhaps such an experience led to his change, just like his father...

"Ever since the beginning, Rao Rong only has said one line, admitting to everything."

"Which means he admitted?"

"Yes..."

Even though it was a successful interrogation, the ease of it made Director Huang suspicious.

But Rao Rong's attitude... Director Huang exhaled deeply.

The person beside him warned, "The higher-ups want the case closed as soon as possible, the Maiden's Sacrifice has brought about too much impact. The reporters have caught wind of his arrest and are still waiting for the outcome."

Director Huang paced around as he glanced down at the time on his watch. "Call for a press meeting."

"Yes."

The second he made the order, an officer ran over with his phone, crashing straight into his shoulder. "Director Huang, look at this!"

Chapter 977: Almighty Qin Is Here

Director Huang diverted his gaze. When he saw the livestream on his phone, his eyes widened in shock. He snatched the phone over, the words Z reflecting in his pupils!

Smith was still looking at Rao Rong, trying to dig something from him when the interrogation room door was pushed open. "I have something you need to see." Director Huang stood by the door.

Smith frowned, a chill ran through him as he bolted upright. "That's impossible."

"The real Z is in the city center right now and judging from the IP address, he should be in the mall." In contrast to Smith's exaggerated reaction, Director Huang was considered much calmer. "We have to take action right now."

Smith listened to the livestream and when he heard the words, a vein popped out from his temples. "It really is him! Dammit!"

"This means we got the wrong guy." Director Huang glanced at Rao Rong before turning over to the crime squad members who were still looking at the phone. "Stop watching, hurry and contact the experienced officers to locate Z."

"Yes, yes!"

The crime squad had never been in such a frenzy before, all of them were moving as fast as they could.

"I found it," one of the tech members declared.

Smith's eyes lit up, as he inched over. "Where is the exact location?"

"Second floor." The moment he replied, he changed his words. "No, it isn't right, it's the sixth floor, no, that's not right either, it's outside."

Smith grabbed a wad of hair. "Where exactly is he?"

The tech team wore their ear phones and watched the screen full of red dots, their voice shaking. "This is impossible, it's impossible! How can there be so many attacking IP address?"

It wasn't possible to identify Z from so many IP address.

Smith clenched his hand into fists. "F*ck, he is doing this again!"

He baited and challenged them, her arrogant declaration the main reason Interpol couldn't stand her. It felt as though they were messing around in front of her.

There were so many people in the mall. Which one was she?

Director Huang was starting to panic as well as the livestream was starting to spread across the internet like wildfire.

Right now, only one person had a plan. Director Huang took out his phone and dialed a familiar number. "Hello, Qin Mo, the real Z has appeared..."

Qin Mo was on the way to the Fu family's house when he received the call. When he heard the last line, his fingers paused and his eyes deepened, turning into the deepest depths of the sea, any emotion buried deep inside away from sight. His handsome face cast a shadow on the car window. He didn't seem the least bit anxious now that Z had appeared because deep in his heart, he had always known that this day would come.

Qin Mo told the driver to turn back while he replied Director Huang calmly, "Brief me on the situation."

The calm reply was enough to reassure Director Huang and he immediately reported the way Z had appeared in the mall.

Qin Mo remained unaffected. He shut his eyes and the next time they reopened, they were shining. "Remove all the IP addresses for the phones and focus only on the laptops, Z would need basic infiltration tools for a network attack."

Chapter 978

Director Huang paused, muttering, "Why didn't that occur to me?"

Qin Mo ignored him, continuing, "Arrange for all the officers to head over. Z hasn't finished whatever she is up to."

"She isn't done?" Director Huang widened his eyes. "What else is she going to do? She's going to humiliate all the police officers in Jiang City."

Qin Mo glanced out the window, his gaze deepening. "You got the wrong person, she's going to seek justice for Rao Rong."

Director Huang paused. "This is our fault but I can't help if Rao Rong confessed."

"Get your men down to the site first." Qin Mo's tone remained the same as before. "Get them to dress as civilians."

Director Huang replied, "Alright," before adding, "What about you?"

Qin Mo glanced at the traffic jam ahead. "I'm heading over now."

"That's great, we need to catch Z. You have no idea how passive I feel from her actions, I still have to answer to the bosses..."

Qin Mo hung up before Director Huang could finish his rant.

Director Huang choked. Why did it seem like this aloof and nonchalant guy hadn't changed a bit? He had never liked hearing anyone badmouth Z.

In reality, unbeknownst to Director Huang, someone else out there was truly feeling both passive and helpless. Seated in her dorm room, Fen Jia stared down at her phone, her left hand tightening bit by bit.

The incident caused an uproar, the entire dormitory had their attention focused on the news. One of the girls exclaimed after she saw the livestream, "Z feels really handsome, how can that be?"

With that, Fen Jia glanced up abruptly.

The girl was caught off guard. Fan Jia's death-like stare was sending a chill down her spine. "Wha-what is it?"

"Nothing." Fen Jia gripped her phone, a sweet smile on her face. "I need some air."

The second she left the room, her face sunk. Z was still alive? How was that possible?!

Even though she had never seen Z before, she had some information.

That year, they had devised a plan to kill that person. How could Z have appeared again? And how could she be in Jiang City? So close to them. F*ck!

Fen Jia smashed her phone against the wall.

Z! Who exactly was she?

It was destined to be a restless night.

The crime squad activated all the available cars, all for the sake of capturing the international criminal.

The voice from the large screens continued, "Since you aren't heading in the right direction for the Maiden's Sacrifice, I can offer you some of the clues I have discovered. Smith, my old friend, the instigator is a female, a student from A University. She is about 23 years old and has a sweet looking appearance, definitely not the person you arrested, Rao Rong. I'll show you the evidence in a moment. Ah, no, I'll be showing everyone. A certain esports player took many wrong paths in order to seek justice for his late father but he has never let anyone down and would never fight a meaningless battle for the sake of money. And the reason behind my appearance? It's to tell the female undergraduate that for impersonating me, your hacking skills just aren't good enough."

The crowd broke into a frenzy when they heard the last line.

The police were starting to intercept the crowd.

Directly in front of the screen was the youngster. Her eyes lit up when she saw the police, her fingers moving along with the sound of her voice. "I once walked through mountains and oceans; I once passed through great crowds; I once had the entire world in my hand only for it to disappear in a blink of an eye. I was once disappointed and lost until I realized an ordinary life was my solution..."

Chapter 979

"Look!"

When the crowd gathered around the youngster heard the raised voice, they turned towards the large screen behind her.

The contents had changed. Rao Rong's face appeared on the screen and his father was there as well, a hero that was silenced when he decided to speak up against a corrupted official. It wasn't a recent photo, Rao Rong seemed younger, clearly unlike his current appearance.

Photos over photos flashed on the screen in the form of a video like a two-minute-long movie.

But the video existed in real life, including the end where Rao Rong returned to the club after being chased out. In order for the team to win, he replaced the horrid player the investors had forced into the team at the risk of offending the club managers. It also included Rao Rong's speech after they had lost the match.

That moment, the shoppers in the commercial area weren't the only ones watching the video, there were also Rong's fans who were on the verge of tears. They had liked that person for a very long time and those that had followed him from the start would know exactly what sort of person he was.

That person was the strongest sorcerer in the esports world. Ever since he had debuted, he had been considered as one of the three pillars of the esports world, together with Almighty Sun and Almighty Qin. He wasn't someone who could go against his belief and lose a match for money. And he would never obliterate humanity.

There was too much unfairness being thrown onto him. It was indeed enough to cause a change.

Perhaps because of his father, he was able to survive he cracks. However, his youth had been stolen. During his most glorious moment, his family had broken up and that had been the situation throughout the entire year.

He was someone that loved esports.

Did you still remember how he looked like when he had just debuted? He had stood amongst his team mates, dressed in his battle gear, a smile on his face.

That had been a long time ago. In fact, it had been so long that when he had reappeared, the flame was no longer in his eyes.

What had he experienced to have undergone such a drastic change?

He was accused of something he didn't do, expelled from his club, betrayed by his teammates and stripped off his deserved glory.

However, even then, he still hadn't gone against his conscious even in the bleakest moment. He wanted to seek justice for his father but in the end, he hadn't been able execute the task assigned by the organization.

It was because he had told himself not to harm the innocent and to only punish those that deserved it. He didn't deny the evidence that pointed to him because the moment he denied anything, his father would live in injustice for the rest of his life.

As the last scene unfolded, it wasn't just the ordinary shoppers, even the police officers who were on duty paused, their eyes red as they fought back tears.

Amongst the crowd were students brought up by Rao Rong's father.

"Boss Qin."

Not far from the plaza, a Land Rover was queueing to enter the parking space. The driver watched the screen from afar and couldn't help turning to his young master.

Qin Mo was looking at the screen as well. Then he pushed the car door open and jumped over the railing single handedly. His black trench coat flew up, forming a curve.

The driver stared on with his mouth wide open since his young master was more suave than normal.

Just as everyone was staring up at the screen, Qin Mo had blended into the crowd. He held onto his phone and dialed Director Huang. "You don't have to go inside the mall, Z is outside."

Director Huang was already inside the shopping mall when he received the call. "Outside? How is she going to type outside?"

"You should ask Z," Qin Mo replied faintly. "There is a better view outside. Moreover, she can detect the police more easily. Get the officers out. They have to hurry because Z is already finishing up."

Director Huang widened his eyes. "Finishing up? How can she be finishing up when the video is still playing?"

"Z's network attack has the ability to slow down the progress." Qin Mo walked through the crowd, studying every single person that passed him while heading in the direction of the fountain. "You can consult Smith on this point."

Director Huang massaged his temples. "Smith has gone crazy."

"Is that so? Was it because of the slap from Z? It is a valid point indeed, and the higher-ups should have done some form of emergency measures. Do you still have the case on Rao Rong's father? I want to take a look." Qin Mo's gaze deepened as he continued walking forward in search of someone.

Director Huang sank into an unusual silence. "It's going to be difficult since more than a year has passed. It will take some effort to source for the evidence but the tricky part will be searching for the judge in charge of the case and the person who manages the folder since they have retired. Some of the information have been misplaced, hence, it would be hard to re-enact the scene."

"Which means someone has tampered with the files." Qin Mo's voice sunk. "Look into who he was trying to convict. If information is misplaced, it is probably an internal issue."

Director Huang had a rough idea on what he was saying; the person they were looking for was most likely someone powerful. How powerful could he be?

Director Huang glanced up at the screen. He must be someone important to be able to conceal and bury such grievances for such a long time. Director Huang felt a shudder run through him. If it wasn't for the video Z was showing, no one would know about this grievance.

Z... The reprehensible hacker deliberately chose to return in such a fashion in this place. Was it for everyone to know the truth?

Director Huang trembled as he glanced up at the screen, his expression changing. This... Were these Z's real intentions?

In that moment, Director Huang seemed to understand why Qin Mo had never believed Z was the one behind the Maiden's Sacrifice. Even though they used similar styles, with at least 90% similarity, their intentions were worlds apart.

Z used her hacking skills to accomplish the same things as them, speaking out for those with grievances. For the truth to be told, for the injustice to be redressed.

Even so, Director Huang believed they walked on different paths because he had much more to consider. That was right, someone like Z would be considered the ideal hero in everyone's heart but the police were required to maintain peace; with their strict discipline and constant hustle, working so hard there were times they had to skip their meals.

In the face of Z, even if Director Huang found it a pity, he still knew that they weren't on the same path and could never be allies.

In the past, Qin Mo had made the wrong judgement on the case with Z. Hence, it was more than accurate for this phrase was best used to describe the both of them. Amongst all the criminals, Z was the only one deserving of Qin Mo's praise. But she was a criminal after all and he believed Qin Mo understood as well. Now that Z had reappeared, he couldn't be sure what sort of method Qin Mo would use against her.

Outside the plaza, endless groups of people walked by while the video continued to play.

Qin Mo suddenly paused, the corners of his eyes arched. Where was that voice coming from? He frowned, walking towards the sound. At this moment, the music paused and Qin Mo's eyes sank. In the middle of the plaza was a youngster, a guitar slung across his body.

Bo Jiu's actions were natural, she seemed like a busker that was heading home due to the unforeseen circumstances. She bent her long legs, shutting the laptop on the ground.

It was still operating as there was a minute delay. A minute was enough for her. She turned, walking away from the car that was parked in the basement.

If she took the car out, it would be an obvious way of notifying the police. Thus, she carried the guitar and entered the crowd. Bo Jiu was still wearing the face mask. The police had started combing the exterior of the mall, two of them were in close proximity, about ten meters from her, one of them even brushing past her but none of them noticed the person they were looking for. Bo Jiu continued forward towards the area with more people.

Bo Jiu didn't walk fast. There was a tense air clouding the solemn crowd, they moved with a heavy heart, their steps draggy. Hence, walking quickly might not be a good thing.

Some of the girls watched on with racing hearts when they saw the busking youngster from before walking alongside them. They never expected the youngster to be heading in the same direction as them. They wanted to ask where she was going, if it was really where they were headed to.

Just as the girls started to blush, the youngster suddenly looked up, catching sight of the tall and upright figure standing amongst the crowd. The Almighty seemed to be waiting for someone.

Bo Jiu stiffened, her pupils widening. She started to analyzes the situation internally. There was still a distance between them. But she couldn't just turn and leave, that would catch the Almighty's attention. Hence, she could only face him straight.

This was an exact replay of their first encounter in the Fifth Avenue. But unlike before, Bo Jiu already knew how strong her rival was. And she had caught sight of him before he noticed her. Even if he saw her, it didn't matter since she was in disguise.

However, Bo Jiu wasn't sure if her disguise was effective in front of the Almighty.

Bo Jiu watched as the distance between them started to reduce, her left hand tightening bit by bit.

Ninety meters.

Eighty meters.

Seventy meters.

Sixty meters...

Bo Jiu counted down internally.

The Almighty turned to sweep her a glance twice and both times, her heart sped up so rapidly it no longer seemed to belong to her.

She had to find a solution or someone was going to recognize her.

Bo Jiu pressed her Bluetooth speaker, her lips moving slightly. "Hoshino..."

Chapter 980: Qin Mo And Bo Jiu

Amidst the crowd, the gentle Hoshino pressed down on his Bluetooth earphone. "I'm here."

"Create a small commotion to help divert the attention away from me." Bo Jiu tilted her head to the side when she spoke. Her voice was so soft that the people around her couldn't hear what she was saying.

Qin Mo? Hoshino adjusted his position when he saw the cold and tall figure, he paused. "Alright."

The second Hoshino replied, the distance between Qin Mo and Bo Jiu was down to twenty meters.

Twenty meters, with people between them.

If it hadn't been for those people, the Almighty would have recognized her. She hadn't managed to fool the Almighty the previous time she had disguised as a ticket personnel in a cinema. This time, Bo Jiu wasn't certain if she could escape. But wasn't that thrilling?

The youngster lifted her lips into a smile as she listened to the girls behind discuss about her. She suddenly paused and turned back. Even though the black face mask shielded a large portion of her face, her voice was gentle and deep. "You seemed to enjoy the song I was singing just now."

The girl felt her heart race as she watched the youngster with bright eyes. It felt as though her heart was going to melt. What was this? The sudden homme fatale 1seduction. Just seconds ago, they were still wrecking their brains, trying to find ways to get her contact number.

"Mmh? Why aren't you saying anything?" Bo Jiu inched closer towards her. She lowered herself to accommodate her height and to better hear her. The youngster lowered her shoulders, positioning herself so that she could hear their reply clearly. The alluring scent from the youngster drifted into their senses as he watched them with his deep and mesmerizing eyes, looking so gorgeous they could barely breathe.

Any girl subjected to such a stare would feel her heart race. The girl being hit on felt lightheaded, her cheeks flushed. "Mmh, I liked it very much!"

"I intend to continue singing on the next road, you can follow me over if you like my music." The youngster had a sincere gaze in her eyes, her air open and inviting, leaving the girl helpless to her charms.

"We will come, we definitely have to!" This hottie is asking me out, he definitely is asking me out, what amazing luck this is!

The girl smiled happily while Bo Jiu remained in the same intimate position as before. At this moment, there was still five meters.

Qin Mo was about to look over. Not far from where she was, she heard someone shout loud and clear, "Z! Z is here!"

No one knew who shouted since there were way too many people but that shout still attracted the attention of all the police officers. Moreover, a figure dashed across the crowd at a fast pace, triggering the officers into action.

Qin Mo moved slightly but that was just an inch. After taking one step, he immediately retracted his step. His eyes were deeper than usual. "Don't go there," he said into the Bluetooth earphone to Director Huang.

But it was too late, once they had taken action, they couldn't stop. That was the belief they held when executing a mission. Moreover, there were still way too many people.

Even if the order had been made, it was hard for them to resume their original position. But this also meant that she was extremely close. She had created a diversion, following the book The Art of War.

Qin Mo's beautiful face looked more aristocratic than ever, his lips upturned as he scanned the crowd around him.

Qin Mo's smile struck a sense of fear in Bo Jiu because he didn't move even with such a large diversion.

That overwhelming pressure brought her back to their first encounter in the Fifth Avenue. She had avoided the police easily but couldn't seem to hide from him. Back then, he had removed her wig and forced her into asserting violence.

But today she didn't wish to fight. If she fought, her identity would be exposed. Fortunately, she had a backup. A backup to use against the Almighty. Honestly, those that played Hero seemed to be more scheming in nature.

Under normal circumstances, when the criminal appeared, shouldn't a person in his right mind take action? The Almighty, however, stood stationary, waiting for her to appear by herself.

Bo Jiu arched a brow. Just as she was about to meet the Almighty, she turned towards the girl beside her. "What's the commotion about?"

"They seem to be arresting someone." The girl only had the youngster in her eyes and could no longer pay attention to anyone or anything else.

Bo Jiu chuckled, her tone natural. "Want to take a look?"

"Let's not, wouldn't it be dangerous?" With such a large-scale operation taking place, she couldn't be sure it was safe. Were boys all this curious? The girl tilted her head over towards the youngster with a black face mask.

"Alright," Bo Jiu coaxed. She lifted her left hand and pressed onto the backpack she was carrying, her voice smooth and deep. "This seems heavy, why don't I carry it for you?"

"No, it's alright." The girl blushed. You just have to be beside me, there isn't a need to carry my bag!

Bo Jiu chuckled. "You're impossible." She spoke with indulgence and sweetness.

Someone was drunk on her voice. However, someone else frowned when he saw this scene. The latter was obviously Qin Mo. The moment he saw the youngster, he started to suspect if he was the person he was familiar with.

But they were standing so intimately like a couple that just started dating and Z would never bring a girl on an operation.

Besides, the intimacy didn't seem forced so it shouldn't be her.

There wasn't any more time for Qin Mo to study them as they entered the crowd.

Qin Mo shifted his gaze, a hint of suspicion underneath his gaze.

Even after she walked away, Bo Jiu could still feel the Almighty's fiery stare. It was so intense it seemed to be able to pierce through her.

Fortunately, the girl reacted again, her face red. "Can we continue to be together later?"

This little fangirl of hers was a lifesaver! "We will see, if the situation permits."

That was their last interaction before Qin Mo shifted his attention away from the youngster's back towards someone else. Unbeknownst to her, it was her back view which increased his suspicion. Fortunately, Bo Jiu had taken that into account. Otherwise the chances of escaping would have been slim.

The girl beside her was the true star.

Bo Jiu smiled brightly when she successfully escaped the Almighty. It was the perfect challenge for her.

The girl gazed up at her and couldn't hold her admiration. "You are really handsome!"

And that four words drifted into the air and were caught by a certain someone.

Qin Mo shifted his attention back to them, his gaze bright and sharp...

In reality, Qin Mo wasn't the only one alerted by this phrase, Bo Jiu had caught it as well. An ordinary couple in love wouldn't be complimenting the other party in such a manner. Bo Jiu cursed internally, taking action ahead of Qin Mo.

Before the girl could react, the youngster apologized. "Sorry." With a sharp turn, her dark jet-black hair splashed across her forehead. The parts of her face which weren't covered by the face mask were so fair it seemed as though there wasn't any blood following through. She pressed her lips slightly, with a hint of stubbornness, she was prepared for a certain someone to recognize her. Right then, this little game was no longer as fun as she anticipated.

The next moment, the youngster pushed her over, with the words, "If I had a choice, I wouldn't want him to hug you either."

"Mmh?" Before the girl could process the situation, she was already in another set of arms, a minty tobacco scent drifting into her senses.

This person... The girl glanced up and was immediately attracted to the beautiful jawline.

Qin Mo frowned, pushing the girl aside before chasing after the youngster. Their skills and figure were both beautiful ad suave as they glided through the crowd fluidly, looking like a scene out of a Hollywood action film.

Bo Jiu maneuvered rapidly, scanning the surroundings. She lifted a brow when she saw the walkway ahead. With a leap, she flew up with a powerful force. With a loud thump, the youngster glided up the car boot onto his roof!

"F*ck, that's so cool!"

"Are they filming a movie?!"

"Is he using Qinggong?"

It wasn't Qinggong but rather, a ninja move.

As the Young Master of the Hacker World, such skills were a fundamental requirement.

Even so, the girls couldn't help but break into excited squeals because the youngster on the car was extremely striking. Whilst she leaped onto the car, she didn't forget to toss her guitar aside, hindering those that were trying to chase after her.

If it had been someone else, they might have tripped over but the person chasing after Bo Jiu was Qin Mo. With a clean turn, his long legs bent in midair and with a loud bam, the guitar split into two midair.

Bo Jiu didn't even bother throwing a backward glance when she heard a loud noise.

Under the exclamations of everyone, the youngster took a step backwards before jumping from one car roof to another before finally landing on the ground again. Taking advantage of the red light, she rolled up on the spot, facing across the road.

Some of the crime squad officers caught sight of the commotion but it was useless because the youngster didn't just have smooth moves, she was also extremely fast.

Moreover, she was in the middle of the road and had managed to reach there with insane methods. How exactly were they supposed to catch her? Young Master Qin was their only hope. That was how all the crime squad officers felt. Due to the distance, they wouldn't be able to aim accurately, which ruled out the gun.

Besides, from the start of the operation, Young Master Qin had warned them against using their guns. But from the looks of things, the gun wouldn't be useful anyways as the youngster was way too fast and she hadn't left the crowd.

This made it hard to open fire. Even if the Almighty had entered between the cars, the situation was the same. The crowd assumed the youngster would get away like this. But they hadn't expected the figure chasing after her, his legs long and slender. His black trench coat flew with the wind, giving off the illusion that they were in the wrong place.

Honestly, they were both fast and had sick moves. The only difference was the length of their legs. Qin Mo's legs were longer than Bo Jiu's and he had accurately predicted her escape route. It seemed like every single one of her moves was within his expectation, increasing his chances of catching up to her.

Just as she was about to be caught, Bo Jiu dodged and tossed something backwards.

Swoosh! It was a pack of cigarettes.

Qin Mo dodged the packet, remarking in a neutral tone, "Don't you have anything else to throw?"

Bo Jiu ignored him. At such a crucial moment, any backward glances would give him the chance to catch her. The Almighty's long legs and height was a God-given advantage.

Bo Jiu continued to run, her long legs kicking the wall at the side and using the backward force, she sped up and flipped across the railing in front of her.

Not giving up? Qin Mo arched his perfect brow and dashed ahead. He didn't need the wall as a booster to catch up to the figure ahead. It seemed like the difference in their height was indeed useful.

Bo Jiu didn't have anything else to throw other than the USB lighter in her pocket but the moment she tossed it at him, her identity would be exposed.

Right at that moment, Qin Mo narrowed his eyes as he calculated the distance between them and reached his left hand out to grab her trench coat.

Bo Jiu paused and without hesitation, she leaped up and did a flip midair. Using the momentum from the turn, she managed to escape his clutches.

But that wasn't the end, Qin Mo was already so near which meant there was a chance she might be caught.

However, the thought of his shocked expression or perhaps the look of taste and distrust was enough to fuel her on, sending a surge of energy through her. Their relationship was already in a tense situation. If she really got caught, it was all over.

With that, Bo Jiu lifted her legs and straightened them in Qin Mo's direction, the sharp splitting sound from the wind seemed strong enough to cut anything.

Qin Mo took a step back. He narrowed his eyes and once again, he reached out his hands. Unlike the previous time at the Fifth Avenue, he didn't grab her arm, instead, he went for the face mask on her face.

A shock ran through her. She used her left hand to block off his attack. It was a beautiful turn and even though her mask was off, Qin Mo still hadn't gotten a look at her appearance. But without her face mask, she could no longer face him straight because regardless of how much amendments she made to her face, he would definitely be able to recognize her. It was way too difficult...

Bo Jiu leaped once more but this time, she wasn't that lucky. In order to avoid a child in front of her, she shifted sideways. That small shift was enough for Qin Mo to grab her shirt.
