Sophie's POV
Sophie stepped out into the rain, feeling like she could finally breathe. Working at a coffee shop is surprisingly tiresome. But meeting a hot guy, and Being escorted home by him was a huge plus.
Even though she only just met the guy who insisted he'd be called Lord Hunkyhair, she felt a strong pull towards him she never felt before. And Sophie was both scared and curious about it. Sure, he was handsome. Probably to all the girls who met him, but too Sophie, right when Keefe walked through the door, she felt like a part of her she didn't know exist lit up with a spark.
Keefe stepped out beside her and took the rainbow umbrella from her and opened it up, "so, ready to go Foster. Or are you gonna keep staring at me with those beautiful brown eyes."
Sophie blushed and quickly averted her eyes, but then noticed how he said 'beautiful
brown eyes,'and looked back up at him to see a blush creep up his neck.
"Are you blushing?" She asked, snickering, "I didn't know the famous Lord Hunkyhair blushed! That's a new one."
Keefe rolled his eyes, "you don't even know me that well. We only just met."
( oh man, now I'm thinking of that scene in Frozen where Elsa said "you can't marry a guy you just met." Now I'm cracking up as I'm writing this.)
"Well, you seem like the type of guy who doesn't blush that often. And the girls drool all over you. Don't they?" She was the one who rolled her eyes this time.
Since they were walking now, she needed to catch up to his long strides, making her short of breath.
"Well, yes," Keefe said with a stupid smirk on his face, "and you look like the type of girl who'll be in the background as they drool over me."
Sophie playfully shoved his shoulder, and Keefe shoved her back, but being her clumsy self, she quickly grabbed Keefe's arm so she wouldn't slip on the wet street, and then quickly let go. Keefe looked over at her, a smirk taking over his mouth. "If you just wanted to feel my arm, You could've just asked."
Sophie glared at him, "that wasn't what that was." She turned her head, blushing a deep red, but a few moments later, she felt a warm energy encase hers and looked down to see Keefe's hand in hers. She sucked in a breath, looking up to see him looking straight ahead. Not noticing how he pulled Sophie a little bit closer to him.
A few minutes later, with them walking and talking, Sophie stopped at a little nook at the corner of the street. A bookstore. "Can I go in here real quick. My cousin works here, and I want to say hi to him."
Keefe smiled, "you just want to look at the books, don't you?"
Sophie smiled back at him, "you know it." She looked into his eyes, looking for an answer he didn't yet say. She quickly looked away when he stared back, quit it Sophie, he probably has a girlfriend. Don't go crushing on a guy you just met.
She was pulled out of her thoughts as Keefe pulled her into the bookstore. "Come on, I want to check out something real quick anyway." She heard him say.
As they walked into the store as cozy as the Coffee Shop and she saw a familiar face behind the the counter, "Dex!" She said. "I haven't seen you in a while. How are you doing?"
"Sophie!" His head popped up at whatever gadget he was making, "I'm doing good. I just applied my scholarship to the collage I wanted to go too."
Sophie smiled, "I just know you'll get in." She said, looking over at Keefe, who was putting the rainbow umbrella in the umbrella basket at the door. "Keefe, I'd like you to meet Dex, my cousin and also best friend. Dex, meet Keefe."
Dex narrowed his eyes at him, "you better not be a creep. Sophie had enough creeps in her life."
Keefe chuckled, but looked over at Sophie with a bit of fear for her and confusion in his eyes, "don't worry, I have no motive to be that low. Nice to met you Dexy. Now, do you know where the Classics are?"
Dex turned to Sophie, "this is my kind of guy. There right over there, between the Fantasy and Romance."
Keefe nodded and turned, "I'll be reading Pride and Prejudice if you need me!" He called back.
Sophie turned back to Dex, "I gotta look for books to read too, And make sure that Keefe is actually reading and not doing something he shouldn't."
Dex laughed, "yeah, probably." He walked behind the desk again and picked up his handful of wires, "I'll be here if you need anything."
"Thanks Dex," Sophie walked to where Keefe was sitting on a sofa reading Pride and Prejudice, but he looked like he wasn't paying attention to the words, instead he looked like he was in a other world altogether.
"Didn't know you liked the Classics?" she noted, trying to guide him out of that world.
Keefe looked up at her, "ehh, my dad made me read Lord Of The Rings last year, and well...The Classics are now one of my favorite genres. Ans, um...This is probably me being nosy, but Dex said you had a lot of creeps in your life. Is that true? You don't have to answer, I was just wondering. Im now rambling, aren't I?"
Sophie couldn't help but notice how he looked really cute when he rambled, but then internally shook her head at thinking such a thought.
She sat down next to him, "I mean, it's a a sensitive subject for me, but...yeah, there was this guy in my high school, I forgot his name, but he kept eyeing me every time I walk by him, and kept going as close to me as possible." She stopped when she saw the look of concern on Keefe's face, "I'm alright Keefe, don't worry."
"Doesn't seem like it since I see tears forming at your eyes. Foster, I'm so sorry."
She almost melted at how much he cared about her, even though they jus met, like, an hour ago. "Thanks Keefe, my dad soon found out though, and he threatened to kill him, and tell his parents."
Keefe chuckled, "your dad seems like a cool guy. Now, how about we get away from that subject, and pick out books to buy." He held up Pride and Prejudice, "or read this if you want too."
Sophie supply sighed, grabbed a blanket from a basket at the end of the sofa and cuddled up under it, "can you read it to me?"
Keefe smiled sweetly, "sure Foster."
..........time skip, cause I'm lazy..............
"Hey lovebirds! Wake up!" She heard a oddly familiar voice say, but she was to deep in sleep to place it, so she snuggled deeper in her pillow, and- wait, pillow? She thought, even through her groggy brain, she knew she didn't have a pillow when she fell asleep.
She shot straight upright, and almost bumped her head on Keefe's chin, who was rubbing his eyes."what is it?" He whined, "I was having a nice nap with"- his eyes popped open, noticing Sophie and Dex staring at him.
Dex cracked up, "you should look at your faces. I didn't want to wake you guys, since you looked so peaceful, but the bookstore closing, so I had too. But it was nice that I got a picture of you two before." He pulled out his phone and handed it to Sophie, who looked at the screen and saw a picture showing Sophie curled up next to Keefe, her head on his shoulder.
Keefe looked over her shoulder, " wow, we look cute Foster."
Sophie sent him a glare, but she was sure she was blushing. She handed the phone back to Dex. "Whatever you do, don't post that."
Dex shook his head, "don't worry, I won't. But I'll keep it whenever I want to look at it."
Sophie sent another glare his way, then she looked up at the clock, and she almost jumped out of her skin when she realized it was 7:30. "My mom and dad won't be happy." She mumbled, getting up and running to towards the entrance.
Keefe ran after her and grabbed her arm, "hey Foster, wait up! What's wrong?"
Sophie twirled around to face him and almost tripped over her own feet if Keefe didn't save her by quickly grabbing her waist.
Sophie blushed at how close they were now facing, "I was supposed to go home an hour ago." She said, "look, Keefe, I loved our time together, but I really gotta go. My house is just a few blocks away. I'll be fine."
"Fine." Keefe said after a moment, "but call me when you get home. I want to know you got home safe."
Sophie nodded, "I'll do that." She walked towards the door, then thought better of it and walked towards Dex and gave him a kiss on the cheek. 'You get home safe too." Then she stood in front of Keefe, "and you," she glared at him, "you make a good pillow," she whispered, and reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You take care of yourself."
She smiled at the blush that was growing up Keefe's neck, and grabbed her umbrella out from the basket, and went out the door.
She walked to the eve of the sidewalk and pushed the walk button, waiting till it turned white. Then she walked across, hopping over deep puddles......
Until she was hit by a car.
She heard a scream somewhere where the bookstore was and a "Foster!" And then the world turned dark.

Yeah, you now must be mad, but don't worry, there will be a part three. But not until....we'll, idk.
But I'm super sorry I haven't updated, Wattpad was crazy these last few weeks, with a hate account for @PersassyIsNumber1 and Coco (@-coconvts) leaving WP. Plus I wasn't very motivated to write, so if it's a little sloppy, then sorry!
