"Big brother, big brother" was all that you heard throughout the compound. The little boy tried not to yell so that the entire village could hear him, but he was just glad that that his big brother would be home today.
No one knew as to why he would be home so early. The orders he received, was to help the Third Tsuchikage to see why some of his shinobi would act out. It was supposed to be a three month mission, but he was back only after a full montn
Someone was with him. It was a shinobi from (village in the stone). When the young boy saw his big brother, he ran full speed towards him, not caring if he ran into someone.
"You're home. Welcome back big brother." Those words were all that Itachi heard before a little body crashed into him. When he looked down, he saw that his little brother had crashed right into his stomach. Itachi groaned from the impact. Smiling he ran his hand down Sasuke's head, making his brother wine at that.
"Aren't you supposed to be in school? What if our parents find out that you are not in class?" He tried to make his voice stern, hoping that he would scare his little brother into going back.
"By the way, where is your blonde headed friend? You two are normally attached to each other?" he asked again.
"The Third Hokage is yelling at him again. He painted the heads of Kage Mountain again, especially the Fourth's head." A muffled reply came out.
Itachi looked up at the mountain and he could see the devastation that little Naruto caused. If the people would only tell him what really happened to his parents, instead of keeping it to themselves and making it out that it is his fault.
"Tchi, I am going on ahead to see the Hokage. Spend some time with your brother, I will see you soon." A person with long blond heir said to Itachi. When Sasuke looked up at the person who spoke, he was surprised.
"Dei, you are actually not allowed to wander around alone. Let me get an Anbu to escort you. I need to report to the elder of our clan. It can take awhile-"
"Go, big brother, we can play later then. You still need to show me how to throw kunai again. I tried and Naruto keeps laughing at me when I practice." Sasuke said pouting. Itachi just nodded his head and pushed him away.
The two of them started to walk out of the compound and walked into the village from the back. As they pass Kage Mountain, Itachi looked toward the Fourth Hokage. Minato Namikaze. He was an excellent sensei to his own one, Kakashi Hatake. As the two of them walk further in the village, they come across a running blond boy. Not sure if he has tears on his face but Itachi knew that something is wrong. Before Naruto could get away form him, he grabbed him around the waist and lifted him up. He took a closer look at him and saw that there were marks on his arms, fingerprints on his little arms, cut marks on his legs and neck.
It felt like Itachi could really kill all of the villagers for what they did to him. Deidara took one look at his shinobi friend and knew there is going to be trouble. He saw that Itachi pulled the little boy closer to him, and the boy placed his arms around his neck and locked his legs around his waist. Deidara placed his hand on his arm, giving him a look. It was if his eyes told Itachi that he would help him no matter what. Itachi nodded his head and pulled little Naruto close to him. Rubbing his back up and down. Whispering comforting words in his ear.
Coming up to the gate of the Hogake's office. Itachi did not know if he should take Naruto with him into the office or if he should leave him there. However, one more look at his body made the decision for him. He pulled him closer than he already was and walked into the office, by passing the secretary and walking into the office. He pulled Deidara in after him by the hand and he held it for a bit longer before he saw what he was doing. Both boys were blushing a bit and let go. The action did not go unnoticed by the Hogake.
"Itachi, what is the meaning of this. You know that I am a busy man. What is a shinobi form going here? I didn't get any letter or notices."
"That is because I asked them not to send anything. I am here to report to you my Lord. Here is the scroll that contains everything that happened. This shinobi is Deidara, a person who helped me when I was there. I miscalculated something and Deidara was there to help me. If it was not for him, I would be dead now and the whole mission would have reached the enemy. But my lord, if I may ask, what happened to Naruto?"
"Hmmmm, since you left he caused so much mischief that not even Sasuke can keep him contained. The other students and even some of the teachers keep ignoring him and that is the cause for his mischief. I know that I should have told him about his parents. However, it is as if something is keeping me from doing so. I even tried to get Kakashi to tell him, but he is quiet about it. It feels like his cannot betray his sensei about this and even Jiraiya cannot tell him. Itachi, I know that I keep giving you these difficult missions, but can you please look after him. I have already talked to you parents about this, and they have agreed. You can move into the house that his parents lived in; after all, he will receive it when he turns 18. To think, in twelve years time he will be where you are now." Itachi could hear that his Hokage was tired and at his wits end. Now he did not mind to look after Naruto and it would be his greatest honor. He did look up to Minato after all.
"I don't mind my lord, and if may ask, I want to ask if Deidara can stay here with us. He talked to his Kage and they agreed. His family also agreed. The reason I ask my Lord, is that we sort of fell in love along the way. I have send a message to my family and although they do not really agree to it, but they allowed it. As long as we do not stay with them. Therefore, when you asked me to look after Naruto, I knew that it would help me in the end. I promise that we would train him to be the best of our abilities. And we will try and keep him away form Kage Mountain, but can't make any promises." With those words, all three boys left the office. As they were walking towards the previous Kage's house, Itachi felt that someone was following them. Not wanting to say anything. He passed Naruto to Deidara and moved away form them, Deidara nodded his head and walked ahead.
The Anbu watching them frowned when he saw that it was only Naruto and the other boy, where did Itachi gone. He tried to look around with out letting his chakra out. To bad, that Itachi have already detected him. Before the Anbu could do anything, Itachi had a kunai beneath his chin and asking in a very creepy voice.
"What do you think you are doing Kakashi sensei? I know that your orders are to look after him, but now that you do not have to anymore. I will take on that responsibility. I have the clear form the Hokage and my family. Therefore, you can go back to the Hogake and tell him that he does not have to worry. I will look after Naruto and protect him. And I WILL tell him the truth about his parents and what happened to them." With those words, he left a stunned Kakashi behind and went back to Deidara.

"Come on little cherub wake up for me, please. We have to get you in to your bed so that you can sleep further." Were the words that both Itachi and Naruto heard? Itachi had a small smile on his face; he could not believe that his boyfriend has already attached to the other little blond. Itachi walked up behind Deidara and placed his arms around both blonde-haired people. Kissing Deidara's cheek. When Naruto finally woke up, he was in the arms of a blond teenager and he started to freak out, but before he really could, he saw that Itachi was behind him.
"Tachi, where am I?" He asked while he stretched out his arms for Itachi to hold him. A pure smile crossed Itachi's face, picking up the six-year-old form his partners arms. Pushing the little blonde-haired boy's face into his neck and rubbing his back.
"Do not worry squirt, I have you and that is all that you need to know. Dei, can you get his room ready. I think he can sleep for a bit more. After that, we will have to talk to him. In addition, I would need your help. If you can, can you send word to Nagato please? He would be thrilled to hear that his cousin had a baby boy. He will also help us to train and understand Naruto better."
The older blond just nodded his head, walked in the direction of the bedrooms and opened doors till he saw the room he needed. Quickly he set to work to clean the room and decorate it for the six-year-old. Once he was done, he quickly made a clay bird, wrote a note and placed it on the leg of the bird and let it go. The thing with Deidara's clay birds, once you have a face in mind when he does it, the bird will know where to go. And the deliver the message to that person and no one else.
'I just hope that Nagato will be able to help. I feel so bad for this little boy. Although I do not know his true history, I know that his village hates him. So it would fall on both Itachi and me to make sure that this little boy will grow up with all of the love we can give him.' Were the thoughts that were running through Deidara's mind? Just hoping that he would be a good parent figure.
"Deidara, can you please take him for me? I thought I heard someone outside. In addition, I do not want any unwanted company to interrupt us later. I know for a fact that once little Naru falls asleep, he won't wake up till the next morning." Itachi asked his boyfriend. Handing him their little blond bundle. Giving a kiss to Naru's head and Dei's cheek. "Please stay with him until I call for you. We really need to protect him. He will lead our village into the future." With those parting words, Itachi left the room and closed the door. Locking it from the outside just for safe measure.
Once he was outside, he saw a few villagers standing there glaring at the house. It was as if he could feel their hatred from the front door.
"You are not welcome here, this is private property of the Uzumaki clan. The boy is out of the village main center, and he is under the protection of the Uchiha clan and two of the legendary Sanin. So you really have no right to be here." Itachi spoke with venom in his voice, before he could say anything else. A red headed male came out from the shadows and stood next to him. With his back to the villagers. Once they saw the symbol, they bowed down with respect.
"You heard my cousin, leave now before I decide to go into rage mode. I may not be able to stop myself if that will happen." His voice was deadly as his face when he turned around to face the villagers. Once they retreated to village, he dropped his scary look. He turned to Itachi nodded his head and bowed slightly. Itachi returned the gesture. He showed him onto the house. Walking toward Naru's room, unlocking it and sliding it open only to dodge a clay bird that was exploding right in his face. If it were not for Nagato blocking both of them, they would be dead right now.
"Ah sorry Tchi!. I did not hear anything and I started to get worried. When I tried the door, I found it locked and thought it was someone else trying to open the door. So I had to make sure that no one touches the little cherub." Deidara quickly explained with tears in his eyes.
"Its fine my love. Now we know that you would be able to protect him no matter what. I want you to meet Nagato. He arrived here quicker than I thought."
"Actually, I was on my here anyway. I mean it has been five years since I last saw my cousin. When I heard that she was dead I tried to come here, but with the missions that I received, I could not leave. I informed my village leader that I need to leave now. I was planning to ask the Hokage if I could take Naruto back with me. However, I can see that you two really care for him. By the way, there is an Anbu not so far away form the house. I didn't do anything to him, but you would want to go make sure that he is not here to spy on him." Nagato said.
"Trust me; he won't do anything to Naruto, because the Fourth Hokage was Naruto's father and the man outsides sensei. Who also happen to be my old sensei. However, since I graduated to the Anbu myself when I was young I was removed form his squad. Kakashi Hatake is a protector of sorts. He would rather give his own life for Naruto rather than save the Hokage, that is how devoted he is to his mentor's son." Itachi's voice started to get a strange change to it, it was as if he was jealous because of it.
"Okay, do you mind I stay here with Naruto? I want to spend some time with him before I have to go back to my village?" Nagato asked the duo.
Itachi just nodded his head. "The extra bed is right there. Therefore, you can relax a bit. Naru will probably sleep throughout the night. You can talk to him tomorrow morning. Good night Nagato." With those words, they left the cousin's in the room.
Deidara walked towards their room sliding the door open and walked to the other sliding door, opening it and staring at the little pond right under the Cherry Tree. The blossoms swaying in the slight breeze. This is making Deidara a bit nervous. He doesn't understand as to why, they have already kissed and held hands and so on, so what is making this time so different? He was so into his thoughts that he did not hear Itachi walking up behind him and placing his arms around his waist.
"What is making you so nervous my love? Can it really be that you are that nervous about what would happen between us later on?" Itachi asked his lover. He could see the red hue on his face and he actually loved it when Deidara would blush like that.
"Not really. It is just I have doubts that I would be a good parent figure for Naruto. I mean, I do not even know him yet I am attached to the little cherub. The way he looks at you, it is as if you can give him the world. I know that you will be great with him, but I am dead scared. I ran away from my family when my sister was born. She accidentally fell from my arms more than once when she was little, so I ran." Deidara's voice started to shake and Itachi could hear the tears in his voice. He himself did not know if he would be a good parent, but he helped a lot with the clan kids. It is making his heart sore that he would no longer live with his family, but he has own one now. Sasuke is the only factor that can change everything now.
"I am just as scared about this as you are love. However, we would have to be strong for Naru. It would mean a lot of work for us, and I know that we can make it work. Just spend some time with him and you would see how he would come to love you. Now come on, we have to get to bed, it is already late." With those words Itachi pulled on Deidara's hand and pulled in to the room. Making sure the sliding door is closed and locked. Quickly dropping his arm, he went to the bedroom's door and closing it as well. He then turns around to Deidara, pulled him closer to him and just held him there.
Both of them actually like the idea that they can cuddle like this. No one would believe it, but Itachi likes to cuddle. Sasuke, when he was much younger did not like it so he just gave him hugs when he could and when he allowed it. The thing with Naruto, he knows that the child likes it, and he hopes that it would help him later on. Once they let go of each other, they moved toward the bed, stripped until their underwear and got in bed. Lying close to each other.

'Deidara, if I have told you once, I have told you a thousand times. You cannot do that. What if one day that goes off while you are holding the child, both of you would explode. You are very irresponsible. I mean look at what happened to Naru when he was young, you nearly killed him with that clay. What did I ever see in you?'
'It's not like that Itachi and you know it. If I did not put that seal on him he would have died, ever since Naru got older, you started to drift away form us. It is as if you know what will happen. You are not Nagato; we do not know what the future holds for us. You are not the only one who loved the children you know.'
'There you go again, making as if everything is my fault. I am pulling away because I know what the future holds. In case you have forgotten I am one with Nagato, he gave me his eyes, he knew I would need it' Itachi yelled at Deidara, pulling out a kunai and stabbing him in the heart. When Deidara looked up at him, he could see the tears in his eyes, making him cry too.
Deidara sat up with a start, holding his chest to feel if there is hole in his chest. When he felt nothing, he knew it was a bad dream. Problem is, usually his dreams have a habit to come true. Therefore, he would have to make sure that this dream does not happen. Falling back down, he curled into a small ball and started to cry silently.

'Deidara please you can't leave me. You promised me that we would die together, you can't do this. What will I tell the kids when they ask me where their father is?'
'Tchi, I tried to warn you to stay away. They would need you now more than ever. Naru will understand, but not the little ones. Tell Naru for me that I will always love him, and because of him I was the best parent I could have been. He will always be my little cherub.' With that Deidara let go of his last breath. Itachi stood there looking at his husband, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't bring him back. The wounds were to severe. The tears were running freely from his eyes down to the ground, all he wanted to do at that moment was to die himself.
Itachi shot up in bed, first thing he did was to look to his left, Deidara was sleeping, he could see the rise and fall of his chest. Crawling slowly towards him, he pulled his lover into his arms and held him for dear life. He will make sure that he will not ever loose Deidara to that accident.
