I woke up to the smell of pancakes and the sweet aroma of syrup. Today was the day my mom (Maria ) and I were going to spend some time together. I was so excited I ran downstairs to my mother and asked her what we were going to do. She told me that we were going to my favorite coffee shop in town. I was so happy that I ran to my room to get ready even though it would be a few hours before we left. As I was getting out of the shower my step father came in. I immediately cringed away from him. He was in the army,though he was my step dad he scared me. I don't know why we just never seemed to get along. I told him to leave because I wasn't properly dressed and he shook his head no. What !!!! Leave I told him , and after I had threatened to yell for my mom he left. This was going to be a long day.
