FAITH WITH DESPERATION

Good morning LORD, I thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for creation. I bless you. I thank you for faith and I thank you for desperate faith. I pray your spirit would move upon this publication and would do justice to it in Jesus name.

Good morning people, I trust your night went well.  Today  we would be talking about faith with desperation In reference to the woman with the issue of blood. Luke 8 vs 43:44, and  the sick man who was passed through the roof to get healed by the  LORD Jesus Christ. Mark 2:4.  I pray you would be open to the Light of the word In Jesus Name. amen

What is faith? Faith means the substance of things  hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
You prove your faith by carrying out an action. I would love to call the action evidence or obedience, my father would say your faith isn't complete until there is obedience,  When you act towards faith, The result isn't obvious yet but the action becomes the evidence of your faith. Now how do you prove that your have faith?

What work are you putting in?
"Yes I have a B.sc, I have prepared my C.V, I have what it takes to make me successful says Solemn"
"Oh I have summitted to the training of the Holy Spirit, I have authority of words, I'm gonna be walking on water soon like the Lord Jesus Christ did says Oluwaseun"
For me  that is faith, What did Solemn hope for?  He hoped to be successful
What did Seun hope for? she hoped to walk on water
What was the evidence/action? Solemn had a B.sc certificate and a prepared C.V
Seun summitted to the training of the Holy Spirit?

Were their  hopes manifested physically? But they had a substance and evidence! So it is likely to be manifested, Oh it will!
I hear someone ask what is substance? Substance are the things you hope for! A good job, A husband, children, spiritual gifts, etc.
You see in the definition "the substance of things hoped for"
Substance to hope
How do you hope?
What vessel carries your hope?
I hear someone say the mind and the mouth!
I hear someone say imagining and declaring!
I hear someone say thinking and asking!
I hear someone say praying and prophesying!

And I must say you're all very correct.

How do you hope? Before words come out of the mouth it definitely has to pass through the mind.
You can hope by thinking, you can hope by saying because there is power in words.

What is Desperation? Desperation is a state of despair, typically one which results in rash or extreme behavior.
Desperation is the action taken as a result  of irresistible desire to accomplish something, be it good or bad.
People tend to focus on negative desperation more than they do on  positive desperation and that is not fair.

An example of Positive desperation is the story is Zacchaeus a chief tax collector who sought to see Jesus Christ, He climbed up a sycamore tree( for he was of a small stature) to see him while he passed. Luke 19 :4.
I suppose he wouldn't have climbed up a tree to see just anyone I mean isn't that even too much an action to sight someone. But that action is what makes me tag him desperate which is a good one, He was positively desperate and he actually did see Jesus Christ.

An example of negative desperation from the Bible is King Herod. King Herod out of his insecurity of the birth of Master Jesus, ordered that all new babies be killed just so to get rid of Christ.  Matthew 2:16

*The action one carries out to gratify his needs or wants is what makes them tagged desperate.*

How can a human being order the killing of innocent  babies just to bring down one child? That is nothing but desperation! Negative desperation!

FAITH WITH DESPERATION
I would be making reference to two characters  whose  action pronounces them to be utterly desperate. I mean when I think of the story what echoes is Desperation! FAITH WITH DESPERATION!

THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD
Luke 8:43-44
I want us to make use of our minds in studying this story.
In the early verses we see that the LORD Jesus Christ was in the midst of multitudes, we see also that when the woman touched the LORD Jesus Christ, he noticed and voiced, Peter and the others instigated that because they were in the midst of the crowd and were congested, definitely they were all touching themselves! How can you say who touched me? 😂

I mean you are not the only one that is touched, I am touched, John is touched, James is touched, we are all touched because, we are in the midst of the multitude...

If peter and the rest could emphasize on that? How did the woman touch the garment of the LORD? If she came standing definitely the disciples would have seen her, but because of the multitudes had occupied space I suppose that she went on the ground, crawled to him and touched the hem of the LORDs garment. How else? After all the Bible says that we shall decrease for the LORD to increase!😄

The Bible says blessed is he who delights in the law of the LORD and in his law doth he mediate day and night. Lord may my meditation  please you 😭. Amen. 🙏

When I read that story I found it funny that Jesus asked who touched him? Knowing they were all congested.

Then I thought if they were congested, how did she touch the hem of his garment, if she went behind him then the disciples would have seen her right?

Then how did she touch the hem of the LORDS garment. I put it to you that then woman went down on  the ground and touched the hem of the LORDs garment. I mean she had tried other doctors and they failed. She had heard about miraculous Jesus Christ!  and no crowd! audience! or multitude! would stop her from getting her miracle that day so she did what she had to do!

So I would decrease for the LORD to increase, My woman did lay in the ground and made her way to the hem of the LORD'S garment!

Oh this woman's faith Moves me, verses 28 of mark 5 says: "For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be made whole."

Shall!!! Shall!!!
When do you use the word shall?

May signifies probability but shall? Is fact!
She wasn't sure she was going to touch his cloths but was convinced that if she is lucky enough to then she shall definitely get her healing! Somebody say DESPERATE FAITH!
My woman Prophesied her healing! Shall is fact!
She spoke the future and she did become whole. FAITH!
John 8 vs 48 says: And he said unto her, Daughter be made of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole;  go in peace."

Did you read that completely? Go in peace😭

What a desperate woman!
What a desperate faith!

I have a question for you today... what are you trusting God for? Do you have faith? Is your faith desperate?

2. THROUGH THE ROOF
What would you call the story of the sick man passed over the roof? All I hear is faith with desperation!
That was a risk they took, what If he didn't land well? Would the sickness not have gotten worse?
But desperate faith says I shall be whole and works it! Desperate faith brings result!
Mark 2: 4 "And when they couldn't come unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was and when they had broken it up they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay" "and when Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy , Son, thy sins be forgiven thee"

DESPERATE FAITH IS A MOTIVATION, DESPERATE FAITH HITS THE NAIL RIGHT! DESPERATE FAITH SAYS YES AND DOES YES, DESPERATE FAITH IS WHAT YOU NEED! DESPERATE FAITH IS FIRE!
HAVE DESPERATE FAITH!!! WORK DESPERATE FAITH!
GLORY!!!

I hope you enjoyed today's teaching?
God bless you. Amen.

LORD YOUR CHILDREN HAVE HEARD YOUR WORD, LET THEM BEGIN TO ACT ON IT. GIVE THEM THE GRACE FOR DESPERATE FAITH. THE FAITH TO MOVE MOUNTAINS, FAITH TO MANIFEST THE EXTRA ORDINARY, FAITH TO MAKE THAT KINGDOM MOVE! FAITH TO WIN, FAITH TO CONQUER, FAITH TO MANIFEST DOMINION, FAITH LORD. GIVE US THE GRACE FOR DESPERATE FAITH!!! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! IN JESUS NAME!!!

YORUBA SONG

ENGLISH TRANSLATION
O LORD Your children have come
To bring all our request unto thee
Just as you have heard the prayers of Elijah
Hearken unto our prayers.
He prayed that the rain wouldn't fall for complete three years and six months
Just as you heard the prayers of Elijah
Please hear our prayers.
He offered prayer the second time
There was rain and the soil brought forth fruits
Just as you heard the prayers of Elijah please hear our prayers.
Prayers opened the door of mercy
Prayer also opened the womb of Hannah
Just as you heard the prayers of Elijah, LORD please hear our prayers.

Thank you.
