Yesterday,
We both talked after what seemed like an eternity.
Just you and me.
It was fun.
Felt like old times and those memories,
Came flooding back.
What we used to be,
So much better than what we are now.
Life was simple,
Life was easy,
When there was you and me.
But now it’s different.
I wonder if it’ll ever be the same.
We used to be friends,
Now I wonder what we are.
Those times,
They were easier.
When my heart wasn’t yours.
But now you have it,
And I’m lost.
We were ‘just friends’
Like how it was supposed to be.
But then I slipped,
And fell for you.
I could never tell,
What I had in my heart.
I still can’t speak,
About what I feel.
We are talking,
You in front of me.
I wonder if I look love-struck,
Because that’s how I feel.
Then there comes your smile,
It takes me off-guard.
And just for a second,
My eyes show what I feel.
But then I remember,
It’s not supposed to be.
You and me.
I try to look away,
But it’s so hard to do it today.
I don’t want to lose a moment I have,
To look into the beautiful depths of your eyes.
I want to hold you,
In my arms.
But there’s already someone in yours.
I want to kiss you till I’m breathless,
But there’s someone else whose lips are on yours.
And I wonder what I should do.
Should I stop and wait forever on?
Or should I leave,
And turn away.
Try to feel for someone who feels the same way?
