°Y/n's POV ~
A few days had went by since the incident with Cuddles being swept up into the impossibly beaten Tornado and I already find it hard to comprehend my emotions of the loss, if he's not alive that is. I sadly can't get over the fact that I could've saved him, but I try not to blame myself, I would've had to let go otherwise, he probably wouldn't have let me say no. I miss him so soon, I can't explain my love for the rabbit in words, and to top it all off, I never really knew how much I loved him until I lost him. I mean, I love him already, but more once I realized how it felt to lose somebody, I don't want to assume he's completely gone though, but I don't have the confidence to venture out alone to try to find him, I don't want to go the wrong way. 'Maybe A Trip down Happy Tree Town might help.' I figured, that's if things don't go mildly wrong again. I need a break every once in a while.
I threw on an Outfit I thought was unique and stylish in a sort of way. It was probably past 11am, so I decided to make myself lunch. Once I finished, I cleaned up whatever was left and made my way out of the door. I was only outside of my house until I got a sudden call, confused, I answered it.
Y/n: Hello?
Flippy: Hi Y/n!
Y/n: O-Oh! Flippy?
Flippy: Yep! It's me! There is someone I want you to meet! Come over to the ice cream shop downtown!
Y/n: . .Okay! I'll be there!
Flippy: Great! See ya soon!
Y/n: See ya!
After the small conversation, I hung up the phone. I spent the slightest of a moment thinking on how he could've gotten my number, but when me and Cuddles met, I'm sure he shared it with everyone..that Rabbit.
I walked down the sidewalk, looking around for the ice cream shop Flippy was talking about, and to my surprise, it came to be right in front of me. Hesitant, I took a deep breath before slowly opening the unbarred door and entering. I looked around at the colorful facility, my eyes lighting up in sparkles. I've been here in Happy Tree Town for quite a while, so I'm surprised that I haven't discovered this place yet. I was too busy staring at the shop with fascination that I barely paid any attention to the hand/paw that was placed on my shoulder. I jumped from being startled from the sudden touch, turning my head at whoever it belong to. It was Flippy. "Oh! My apologies. I didn't mean to scare you." He spoke bashfully "No! No! It's okay! I'm actually really happy t-to see you here Mr. F-Flippy!" I stuttered out "Please. Call me Flippy. It's okay." He comforted, I nodded.
We sat at a table, another person to be seen with him. He looked exactly like Splendid, but the colors on him looked swapped from his mask and fur. He had his hands/paws behind his head as his feet were leaned up on the table, but that all changed when he spotted me. He glanced at me, smirking and sitting normally, removing his feet from where it was and back towards the floor "I'm Splendont. Nice to meet you." He greeted fiercely, extending his hand for me to shake, I gladly accepted and shook his hand "Hi Splendont! I'm Y/n!" I greeted in return, he smiled more at my name. 'Splen-Did. Splen-Dont. The 'Did' and 'Dont' gets me pretty good!' I joked in my head, snickering a bit. He tilted his head in confusion, but brushed it off "I know how to find this petty little boyfriend of yours. I'm a better Superhero than Splendid could ever be, I actually have consideration for the people and not just getting the job done." He bragged. I smiled widely "Really?! Y-You can find Cuddles?! He's still alive?!" I asked, he chuckled "There's only one way to find out. Come with me." He said. He hovered his way towards the door, me trailing behind him, and before you knew it, we were out and at it.
•Flippy's (Quick) POV~
The waitress brought the ice cream I ordered for Everyone to the table, soon walking off. I sat there awkwardly as Y/n and Splendont made their way out the door. "H-Hey! What about our ice cream!?" I questioned, but they were already gone. I shrugged and licked my lips "More for me I guess!" I proudly triumphed before digging in. I hope none of them have chocolate or peanuts inside. 'Peanuts in Ice Cream? Since when?! Might be allergic to Venison though..Possibly.' I wondered, otherwise, I'm not doing chocolate. "Hehehehe!" I giggled while eating all the ice cream. (Yum! 😋🍦)
°Back to Y/n's POV~
I ran after Splendont, my feet pacing as fast as he flew, sooner than you knew it, we were at this abandoned building surrounded by a bunch of trees. I slowed down, now completely stopping. Splendont flew down to where I was "Why did you stop?" He asked, I only remained silent. "I saw him flew this direction a few days ago. The tornado must've threw him this way. I knew you had something to do with him, so I asked Flippy if I could help, and he insisted that I met you first." He explained. Again, I was silent, but understood. He told me to stay put as he flew across the air to look for Cuddles.
It had been a long amount of minutes waiting for Splendont to show back up, but when I looked across the sky, I saw him flying my direction. He flew down, and with that, I was able to get the sight of a very injured Cuddles, fighting for his life, he struggled trying to gasp for air. I was horrified, running towards him in Splendont's arms "C-Cuddles!!" I screamed. I jolted my head towards the abnormal Flying Squirrel "We have to get him to a hospital!" I panicked. His eyes widened before nodding his head "Get on my back and hold on tight." He commanded. To be honest, I was nervous about going too high in the air, but it was for Cuddles. I did what I was told, and we were all set for take off. He jumped into the air and began to fly, us heading to the hospital.

We made it to the hospital, them taking Cuddles to the emergency room. Sure, Splendont may have busted through a wall of the place, but we had to do what we Had To Do! The doctor commanded us to stay in the waiting room, and though I didn't want to, I had to do what I was told. I don't want to start blaming myself again, but I really feel like Cuddles was injured because of me. I shouldn't have slipped and let go, and who knows, maybe I shouldn't have been in the back of the store in the first place. I could've gotten Mime hurt too, but I can't blame myself for being scared. Of course, we couldn't stay here, not to mention we abandoned Flippy back at the ice cream shop...he probably ate our ice cream by now. I wasn't the most independent person without Cuddles, but I never planned to ruin our relationship by me making a mistake. I just hope he isn't mad.
The doctor came into the waiting room, telling us that Cuddles was going to be okay, but stay in the hospital for a long while. I didn't mind it, as long as I visited him as much as I could.
I sure had a lot of commitment to be visiting Cuddles at least 3 times a week. We would talk, play games, eat together, and much more. Soon, those weeks turned to months, and those months were spent just as valuable as me and Cuddles' Connection. Could we Dream of our future lives so soon? I mean...I don't want to go to fast, it seems like though I can picture becoming even Closer with him, but how close exactly? Mainly, how long will our relationship last? Talk about long life and good life. Dreaming of an Absolution isn't easy, I honestly can mend two and two together without the concentration of what we'll be...as I met up with him more and more by day, he was eventually dismissed from the hospital.
As I watched him exit the hospital, I ran into his arms and embraced him tightly "Oh Cuddles! I'm so happy your okay!" I cheered, blushing. He hugged me back "Yeah! See? I told you I would be okay! I mean..I got severely injured..but that's better than you getting dragged down with me. I never left you, did I?" He asked, giggling "That is true, but...I'm sorry. I didn't mean for me to slip and let go. I should've had a better grip and-" "Shhhhhh. It's okay. It's not your fault.." He comforted, patting my head gently. I looked up at him, and he looked down at me. We got closer and closer to each other, then colliding a kiss with one another. It was nice and slow, we passionately melted into each other's touch, closing our eyes and continuing the action for as long as we could. We both pulled away for air, but sad that the moment ended. He suddenly placed a necklace with a flower around my neck. My eyes lit up as I examined it by detail "T-This beautiful Cuddles..Thank You!" I cheered, kissing his cheek. He blushed and rubbed his arm "Aaah, it's nothing! I-I'm so happy you love it!" He replied, flustered. He paused for a moment, and his rabbit ears flipped up from realization. Suddenly, He grabbed my arm and began to run with me "Come on, N/n! I have a surprise to show ya! I know it'll be beautiful...I took the time just to do it for you...because I love you..." He exclaimed.
Confused, I decided to cope with what he had planned anyway. I mean, I know I would visit him 3 times a week when he was cooped up in that hospital, but was he planning stuff when I was away when he knew he would be dismissed soon? How will he show me? Why? Though I was dumbfounded of what was happening, I was still excited for what he had for me. I was willing to do anything with this Funny Bunny, I can't wait to confess deeper into my feelings for him! The next moment awaits!
