And I don't appreciate you calling

Matthew

"My grandfather died this morning."
Blaire
(Clears throat)

"Then I won't."

"I haven't seen him or talked to him in a decade. I blame him for my Mom and Dad's death. My family came from old money. Mom wasn't. She was an orphan and a struggling student. Umpisa pa lang, kahit wala pa ako, sobra sobrang pang-iinsulto ang binabato nya kay Mom. Na pera lang ang habol. But Dad, my dear Dad never left my Mom. My Dad was the eldest. The heir. Pero iniwan nya lahat for Mom. For us. When I was born, my parents thought na magkaka-ayos na din sila. After all, aren't grandchildren supposed to melt a grandfather's heart?"
Matthew
(Silence)
"I never had a memory with him na hinde sya sumisigaw. Na hinde nya niyuyurakan ang buong pagkatao ni Mom. Wala syang bukambibig kundi pera. I never heard him say any kind words to my Mom. Inagaw daw ng Mom ko si Dad sa pamilya nya.
What kind of bullcrap is that?"
(Mutters a curse)
Matthew
"No matter how succesful my Mom and Dad becomes. No matter how great of a Doctor Mom was, she was never good enough for his son. To him, she was always the one who broke the family. And my Dad."
(Silence)
Matthew
"He was successful without the family's money. It was never easy for him. But he did it. Pero kahit gaano kataas ang narating nya, My Dad will always tell me that his greatest achievement was me and my Mom."
Matthew
(Silence)
"My Parents never said ill word against my grandfather to me. I was introduced to him when I was 5, and you know the first thing he said to me? "Your mother broke my family apart." And I remember yelling and throwing us away. I know at a young age, kahit gaano pag-takpan ng Dad ko, kahit kailan, hinde naibsan ang sakit dahil sa lahat ng pinag-gagawa ng sarili nyang ama sa kanya.
My Dad's siblings, I know they supported my Dad but it wasn't enough. I didn't care though. I had my Mom and Dad. Hinde sila nagkulang kahit kaming tatlo lang. I already have my friends. I didn't care about that piece of shit. You know what changed?

"My Mom and Dad and the 19yr. old
me went to my Dad's family house."
Matthew
(chuckles)
"I remember seeing my Dad happy 'cause we thought sa haba ng panahon, matatanggap na kami ng Mom ko. But that wasn't the case.
It was an ultimatum. Iwan ng Dad ko si Mom at kunin ako para maging putanginang tagapag-mana ng kayaman nya. I never heard so much rage from that piece of shit. He almost slapped my Mom, and it was a good thing na andun ako. And hurt me instead. And of course I punched the motherfucker. Wala akong paki-alam kung matanda sya. He wanted to lay his hands on my Mom and Dad. And my Mom, my gentle Mom suffered a heart attack."
Matthew
(Silence)
"We didn't know na may sakit sya sa puso.
It was sudden. And I blame that old man. He killed my Mom. I never blamed my Dad for leaving me. He loved my Mom too much.
Blaire
(Whispers)
"Leaving you?"
Matthew
Dalawang buwan pagka-tapos inatake ang Mom ko, my Dad committed suicide. One day I had a family. The next day, I was an orphan."
Blaire
(Crying)
Matthew
"I'm not saying this to you to change your
mind about me being a jerk. I'm still a jerk."
Blaire
(Whispers)

Matthew
"Now tell me, Little Bunny, am I supposed to forget every shitty things that old man said to my Parents just because he died? I don't need a fucking closure from him! He's dead to me a long a time ago."
