"Makai." I mumbled in my sleep hearing one of the babies crying through the baby monitor.
"Hm?" He said but he didn't move.
"It's your turn." I said and he looked at his phone seeing that it was four a.m.
He got up going to the nursery while I tried to go back to sleep. Then he came back holding both Kymeir and Kyhari.
"I told you they don't like being in there by they self, they scared." He said but in reality he just didn't want them out of his sight. It was cute though.

"They both six ounces." I said out loud as I looked at the breast milk inside of the glass bottles. I was surprised because I never pump the same amount out of both boobs.
I put both bottles in the refrigerator going back upstairs to our room.
"Get him." Makai said motioning to Kyhari as he held both of him. "That lil nigga bad." He mumbled as I grabbed him.
"What he do now?" I chuckled.
"Throwing his big ass head around and hit me in my mouth then gone start smiling showing nothing but gums." He said with a straight face and I started laughing.
"He ain't mean to." I said as Kyhari laid in my arms looking at me and Kymeir was holding Makai's finger. "Ain't that right handsome." I smiled tickling him causing him to laugh.
"Kymeir just be chillin." He said.
"Yeah he more quiet, but they're perfect." I smiled looking at our babies.
"We gotta get dressed in bout 30 minutes." Makai said.
"For what?" I asked.
"You'll find out when we get there, I called my mama and yo' mama to watch them." He said.
"Wait we leaving them?" I asked.
"Kaelyn, don't you think it's time for us to catch a small break just for today, they five months now. And our mama's agreed on that too, they the ones that suggested it." He explained.
"I mean we do need a break I just don't wanna be apart from them." I said.
"Oh well they already on they way and i ain't finna get cussed out." He mumbled.
"Okay fine." I said as I got up still holding Kyhari trying to figure out what to wear.

"Go, we got them." My mom assured as each of them held a twin outside.
"C'mon Kaelyn." Makai said.
"Wait let me give them one more kiss." I dragged.
"You gave them two already." Makai chuckled.
"Go kaelyn before y'all be late." My mom said and I sighed.
"Okay we'll be right back." I said before getting in the car and Makai closed the door before getting in as well and driving off.
"Please don't start crying." Makai said.
"This our first time being away from them."I sniffed.
"How bout we face time them every time we leave from the places we be at." He said.
"Okay." I wiped my tear. "I like that idea." I said he smiled shaking his head.
"Where we going?" I asked.
"Cake testing for our wedding." He said.
Dealing with the twins we really haven't found much time to start planning our wedding like we wanted so I was so excited to hear that.
"For real? When did you set it up?" I asked.
"Yesterday." He said. "Ion know no other flavor other than chocolate vanilla and red velvet." He said and I laughed.
"Makai- i'm for real cause they make anything a damn cake flavor like why the fuck would I wanna taste carrot on my cake the fuck." He said.
"Please don't be rude to them people." I said.
"If it's nasty it's nasty.... I mean it ain't they fault, it ain't like they ain't make the shit right it's just the flavor." He said.
"This finna be a long day." I mumbled.
As he drove he finally pulled up to the place and it looked real elegant. When we walked in it was a chandelier hanging up and classical music playing.
"Oh you must be Makai and Kaelyn, welcome." A white lady smiled.
"Thank you." I smiled back.
"You two can sit right here while they bring the different cakes out." She said and I nodded.
"It smell too sweet in here make my stomach hurt." He mumbled.
"Makai shut up." I shook my head. "We should have cookies and cupcakes too." I said.
"Damn can we taste the cake first." He said and I looked at him.
"Ight I'll shut up." He said and the lady came back.
"Alright so what's the occasion?" She asked.
"A wedding." Makai said.
"Omg congratulations." She said getting happy and he just stared at her.
"Thank you." I smiled and nudged him.
"Preciate it." He sat up.
"Alright so first we're just going to go right in. This is red velvet." She said as a man came and sat a small plate in front of us with a fork and we both ate it.
"I fuck wit this." Makai mumbled.
"Should've known, red velvet his favorite." I chuckled.
"Great so i'm just gonna write down the ones that y'all like then when we're done you can sort them out and pick." She said nicely.
Then the same man came back to take the plates while another man sat the next two plates down.
"This is strawberry flavored." She said and we tasted it.
"This is so good, it's so moist." I mumbled.
"It's too sweet." Makai swallowed it.
"So is that a yes or a no?" She smiled.
"Yes"
"No"
"It's a yes." I assured looking at him and she wrote it down.
"Alright the next one is Coconut cake." She said and we both tasted it and made the same facial expression.
"What this is, coconut shavings?" He asked.
"Yes." She said.
"We can put that to the side i'm not a coconut fan." I said and he agreed.
"This is just regular vanilla and chocolate." She said and this time the man sat two plates in front of us.
"Might as well gone head and write them two down." He said and I ate the vanilla cake sample that was on his plate.
"So damn greedy." He mumbled.
"It's good I love it." I said and she smiled we tried more flavors and the more we tried the more it seemed like our facial expressions spike before we did.
"Okay so we have red velvet, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and caramel cake. Do you need more time to decide?" She asked.
"Would it be possible if we can have all the flavors like five different cakes?" He asked.
"Oh but i'm greedy?" I mumbled and he waved me off.
"Yes it'll be possible, do you know how you want the cakes to look, like the different colored frostings and decor?" She asked.
"Yeah I have a couple of pictures." I said.
"Well I can get your number and you can send it to me so I won't forget and keep the idea in mind." She said and we exchanged numbers.
"Some of the cakes can be cupcakes though." I suggested.
"Like the cupcake towers?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yeah exactly like that for the strawberry and chocolate." Makai said and she write it down.
"White frosting for both and can it be like them lil gold flakes on the chocolate cupcakes on the frosting?" I asked.
"Yes,omg this is going to come out so cute." She smiled. "Well that's it for today after we get the designs and display of the cake set up then we'll go into the prices." She said.
"Fasho." Makai said.
"Thank you so much." we stood up.
"You're welcome, it was so nice meeting you both." She shook our hands and afterwards we left.
"I'm hungry now." Makai said.
"I am too, we should've bought a cake that red velvet was too fye, and that caramel cake just melted in my mouth I want some more." I said.
"On god." He agreed.
"What you wanna eat?" I asked.
"You." He mumbled.
"Hm?" I asked.
"I ain't say nothing." He said.
"Where we going next?" I asked.
"I talked to Darcy yesterday too so that's where we going to make sure we good." He said.
"Okay." I smiled.
Sometimes I be thinking to myself like how did I get him and get this far. That's one of the many thoughtful things he's done while we've been together. Like in the beginning he opened up easily with me then when my problems started to get worse he shut me out but now we're on the same page and our communication is better than anything. I don't know what I would be doing if I hadn't met him and my friends two years ago.
They played a big part in my happiness even dayla ain't one point I can't lie about that. But moving on so did my family that I hoped to have when I was growing up.

"Okay fill me how's parenting going?" Darcy asked
"I love it." I said.
"They a handful already, but yeah I love it too." Makai said.
"That's great, so i've been told that this is your first time being away from them, how does that make y'all feel?" She asked.
"I miss them already I didn't wanna leave them." I said.
"On the other hand I was." Makai said. "Like don't get me wrong I miss them too but it's stressful that's why we got a break." He said.
"That's understandable, so i take it you two have been working as team being there for each other?" She asked.
"Yeah, I can tell he's more vocal with his feelings now like how it was in the beginning." I said.
"Not gone lie I never wanted to go to therapy bout problems and shit but i'm glad I did. And back then it wasn't always just me disregarding my own feelings. It was just my mindset and how I used to think and I still think that way but the only difference now is that acknowledge my feelings too." Makai said.
"Think what way?" Darcy asked.
"Like we a couple we move as one, so if she not good i'm not good that's why I have to make sure she straight wit whatever she dealing with and it's the other way around." He said.
"Yeah and at times I didn't want him doing that because me personally I felt like I was selfish for weighing my issues on him cause I was thinking like damn when am gone be his shoulder to cry on." I said.
"But you ain't weigh yo' problems on me I asked you cause I care." He said.
"So now I take it that you two have come to an understanding about that situation?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said.
"It ain't shit no more. All our problems gone." Makai said.
"Would you say that you've changed each other?" She asked.
"Yeah." He said.
"Mhm he used to be so mean to other people." I said.
"Used to? He still is." Darcy said and I laughed.
"No Im not i calmed down a lil bit." He chuckled.
"That's true." Darcy said.
"Anymore more words of advice?" I asked.
"I don't think you two need my help anymore anything i've ever told you y'all have took it and applied it to your everyday lives." She said. "Only thing I can say is to continue being there for yourself you have babies now give them the world." She said.
