Background: Elektra and her twin Helios were created in a lab controlled by Dr. Martin Brenner. The head scientist Elizabeth used her own eggs and strange DNA to create them. She grew so attached to the twins and died helping them escape. Elizabeth's younger brother Ned took both kids in and brought them to Hawkins, their hometown, as his niece and nephew.
